I have one of those faces. The type of face where someone thinks you're someone you're not. Scarlet thinks that. She thinks I'm her first love. I'm not, but I'll be her last.
When I meet Scarlet, she's unlike any girl I've ever met. Feisty, determined, she'll do anything to get her way. Sauntering over to me in the bar with those hips. That silky hair. Those kissable lips. Two can play at this game. After this weekend we'll never see each other again. Just 48 hours between the sheets. Then I go back to Chicago and she stays in this sleepy little town. Except four months later she shows up at my office with a secret so big it could tear our whole worlds apart. One word changes everything. Daddy.
Twins Make Four is a super steamy secret baby romance. It has a HEA and NO Cliffhanger. There are a few bonus books for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!

Just when I thought the plot was starting to move SMUT whoa smutty smut. Not bad smut, maybe a little too juicy smut. Tobias and Scarlet hook up quite a bit. He is a ceo of a legal firm, she works for a non profit. they went to the same private HS and she actually believes him to be an ex from HS all the way till the next morning. wow, I thought Scarlet was a total ditz after that. Tobias treats her to a nice dinner out and some emotional discussion then back to wham bam put the audiobook on mute in case anyone hears. There were other characters and layers to the story that were teased. But they never got past the hotel and office sessions drowning in bodily fluids.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a short story / quick read.
In this book we have Scarlet. Scarlet is ready for some fun so she goes out to a bar with her girl friends. However her night isn't looking exciting since her friends seem more interested in gossiping than dancing. She wanted to stay at home and watch her Netflix instead. Scarlet gets excited when she sees a man who she thinks she is her first love and boyfriend from high school, Preston. She goes up and starts a conversation with "Preston" who says his name is Tobias. Scarlet thinks "Preston" is just playing with her and goes along for old times sake. The sparks fly between the two and they take it back to his hotel room.
Tobias is a Prep School wealthy rich man. He is worried that woman only want his wealth, that they couldn't be actually interested in him but only care about his money.
These are the 1st books I read by Nicole Elliot. TWINS 👶👶 MAKE FOUR: This book's story line was okay. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. I liked Scarlet's character. I liked Tobias's character. I liked the ending. DOCTOR'S FAKE PROPOSAL: I'm sorry I stopped reading this story at chapter 3 because it didn't hold my interest.
[1 star] book was sadly mediocre, not much development and substance. scarlet just comes off as a huge bimbo, i mean she thought the hero is her ex-bf and when the hero said he is not, she thought he was role-playing, like come on, seriously??
This was an ok read. I'm left with a bit of confusion. Like is Scarlett actually a bad girl or just has a wild side. Why was the headmasters words made out to be such a big deal? The mistaken identity seemed to carry or more than necessary. The sex scenes were hot and written well. I'm disconnected because the relationship was rushed. After so much time apart and not really knowing one another, the "I love you's " came to quick for me. I needed more dialogue and connection between the two. I think it has a lot of potential and if more were added to make those connections, it could go from ok to a really great book.

Scarlet is ready for some fun so she goes out to a bar with her girl friends. However her night isn't looking exciting since her friends seem more interested in gossiping than dancing. The selection of available men is horrible until she spots a newcomer. Scarlet gets excited when she sees him because she thinks she is her first love and boyfriend from high school Preston. She goes up and starts a conversation with "Preston" who says his name is Tobias. Scarlet thinks "Preston" is just playing with her and goes along for old times sake. The sparks fly between the two and they take it back to his hotel room. There they have a very passionate night but the next morning she discovers that he really was Tobias. Once the two get over the mistaken identity issue, they have another passionate night and go their separate ways. A few months later Scarlet hunts down Tobias to let him know that their passionate encounters have left her with a couple of consequences. Tobias is afraid that Scarlet might have ulterior motives since he is very wealthy. His former headmaster had also warned him against spending time with Scarlet. Now Scarlet just has to convince Tobias that she wants nothing from him that he isn't willing to give. Will Tobias listen to his heart or his doubts. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
Ah, what to say about this book .... It's short, and that's a good thing. I can't say I care for this author's writing style because there were just too many inconsistencies and very little character development.
I mean, the male MC actually says something like "I can't endure" while they're having sex, but she turns around and has the female MC saying things like "he grabbed my butt" which seems childish, especially if you're trying to set a specific tone by using words like "endure". And while speaking of the sex scenes, they just seemed sloppy and there was definitely no romance or love coming from them.
We do not get any information at all on the characters other than their present and maybe a touch of a past. This woman is pregnant with twins, and the ONLY person she talks about it with is one friend? No parents, no other family, nothing.
There is a whole chapter on how the male MC thinks having twins will affect his workload and business, do we even know how he worked that out? Of course not. She moves in, he proposes, the end. It felt incomplete.
If this author had beta readers and an editor for this book - she needs new ones. There are quite a few mistakes/errors and the book is much too short to have that many. I gave it two stars because I actually finished it and didn't delete it off my kindle after 3 chapters.
A cute read overall but there are a few things that bugged me.
Spoilers possible....
They meet and she thinks he's someone else. He tells her who he really is but she doesn't believe him. Even slips up and calls him the other guys name while they talk. They have a 2 night stand and he leaves town. They keep thinking about each other but he deliberately deletes her number so he won't be tempted to call her (what a jerk). She calls him to tell him she's pregnant but (understandably) doesn't leave a message. Finally she shows up in his office to tell him. He's thrilled to see her and they pick up where they left off. There's a misunderstanding when he reads a text message from her best friend and he leaves. They make up and it's instant "I love you's". That was sudden. That's the last of the "bugged me" bits. The rest actually goes really well and quite believabley. The happy ending is sweet and made me smile.
A case of mistaken identity that leads to a passionate two night affair.... or so they both thought.
Scarlet Kale was out with her friends for the night when we first meet her, she mistakenly sees a man she thinks is her ex boyfriend across the room, and boldly approaches Tobias Gentry, and when he invites her back to his hotel room she accepts, and they have a wonderful two nights together...
Fast foward 4 months and Scarlet is in Chicago at Tobias' office.... She's got news that will change both their lives forever, will he accept the news? Will they find their HEA?
I liked this book but it lacked depth for my liking. The characters while nice, just didn't have much going on for them to make the endearing. If they went to the same high school... here's a thought.. Look up the year book! Irritating when books don't quite deliver as promised.
This book… ugh, it was just sooo disappointing! It felt rushed and the characters were underdeveloped. There are a lot of questions left unanswered… for instance the headmaster what was his deal with her. I know she sorta answers by saying she skipped some classes and parties but why did the headmaster overreact. I also wanted to see/hear more about her ex and interacting with his look alike. At first I was thinking this book was going to take a twins separated at birth then adopted turn, where the headmaster knew about it thus trying to discourage MC from getting with FC but sadly that did not happen, might of made it more interesting though. Welp… this book has so much potential but really fell short imo.
Talk about confusion and mistaken identities. Scarlet meets Tobias at a bar thinking he is her old high school boyfriend, Tobias and he doesn't tell her any different. The chemistry's there so they eventually make it to his hotel room for some steamy action. Parts of this are crazy, he deletes her phone number so he won't be tempted to call her and she calls to tell him she's pregnant but doesn't leave a message or return number. Then she shows up at his office to tell him she's pregnant with Twins. No spoiler here, but there's an HEA and an interesting journey on how they get there. I read an advance copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
All these romances come with a sweet, lovable h, and a strong alpha male H. Each has a nice hea. They were all very...nice. Nothing great. Not terrible. Just average. But on a side note, they did make me wish this, and many other writers would download a thesaurus, and find some other word to replace about a blue million 'smirks'. Everybody in all these stories, smirk. All the time. They say it with a smirk. They look at each other, with a smirk. They smirk when they're happy, sad, mad, or glad. Surely there must be an interchangeable word. It's becoming a real sore spot for me.
Scarlet and Tobias have a fling while he is in town for business. Scarlet originally thought that he was someone else and Tobias is told that Scarlet is bad news, can they make it past these given impressions? Months later when Scarlet shows up pregnant with twins, will Tobias have an instant family or will Scarlet be turned away? An interesting, quick read. I liked the characters and the story line, but I didn't like where it ended, it seemed abrupt. Overall it was an enjoyable read and I liked it.
I was really looking forward to Twins Make Four. After how great book one in the series was, I had high hopes. Unfortunately, it fell short. There wasn’t enough. I didn’t read the other story in this book. To be honest Twins Make Four should have had its own book so that those reading that series get a full read, not just a novella sized story and a separate book unrelated to the series.
Scarlet is a single female, not really wanting to have a serious relationship right now. Tobias is back home for a presentation at his home school, unexpectedly meets Scarlet, she mistakes him for someone else. What will happen when a mistaken identity takes on a new twist, cute, fun, great story about trust, learning to open your heart. ❤️
I enjoyed this. She goes into a bar and sees him. She thinks he is her old high school boyfriend. They have a good time for a couple of days and then he goes home. She shows up 4 months later pregnant with twins. It is sweet, loving, mysterious, exciting, emotional and so much more. I recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
I'm having a problem with this insta-love-pregnancy story. Mistaken identity was believable. Greedy ex was expected but the whole "I love you" thing was to fast. Not to mention that his sister hasn't met Scarlet in that entire 4 months time? That is a bit too far of a stretch for me considering Tobias already discussed Scarlet with her.
Twins Make Four is a fun and steamy read. A highly entertaining and enjoyable read that tells a cute story of mistaken identity, a secret baby and hot passion. I'm posting a voluntary review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
This is a really fast paced story, quick easy read. Scarlett and Tobias are really interesting sweet characters with sizzling hot chemistry between them.
A hot weekend of slight mistaken identity, four months later leads to twins.
Quick and fun read, an entertaining storyline and likable and relatable characters. This romp has plenty of misunderstandings to untangle before the H/h can find their HEA. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
This is a good quick read. I didn’t realize it was interconnected with another story till I was about halfway through and was like umm... these people sound familiar lol! Aside from that it was quick and hot. I just wish there was a bit more of a relationship overall...
I wasn’t a huge fan... it was entertaining at times but I struggled through a majority of it. ~Instant love after making an ass of himself ~No epilogue ~No real character development....
I really enjoyed the whole mistaken identity concept that brought the two characters together. Of course along with being endearing and sweet.. there was plenty of hot and dirty involved. Loved Tobias!
I had high hopes for this one but the female MC, Scarlet, was just TSTL. She confuses the MC with a guy from high school and even after he tells her who he is she STILL thinks he is the other guy ‘playing a game’ with her’
I thought this book would be able to hold my interest but sadly it did not. It had potential but was short and kinda goofy in parts. I felt like there could have been so much more to the story, the characters and everything in between. I stopped reading....
I loved the story line. It was an easy read. The fact that the "father" had to pick up the child from daycare before knowing about the child was priceless. However there are several grammatical errors.
