Pre-review: Locked room murder mysteries...let's see how this will go...

Slow Death: The first story about the conspiracy and murder mystery within a yakuza group, the second in command of the yakuza seemingly committed suicide with a gun but is it a real suicide, or was it a murderous plot?

The plot twist of this story is a good one, the murder mystery is well explained and believable, I like it! 4 stars.

Murder Through the Looking Glass: A murder mystery with ‘Alice’s Through the Looking Glass’ as its inspiration and main theme is really intriguing, but the explanation part of the murder mystery is…….I can only say it lost me in the middle, 2.3 stars only.

Murder of the Mysterious Clocks: the story is long winded, although at the beginning the locked room mystery about a wealthy novelist of crime novels who was found dead in her own study does look interesting enough the characters are interesting and the story is eventful, however it takes forever for the story to process and I got bored in the middle of it all. Too bad. 2 stars only.

Pet’s Claws: Another well written murder mystery in which the ‘locked room mystery’ took place in the middle of the ocean, the murder plot is well explained, the murderer’s motivation and the backstories among the victim, the murderer, and those around them etc are finely crafted. It’s a well developed and fast paced story. 4.5 stars.
