ANOTHER FABULOUS ADDITION TO THE SERIES THAT MADE ME A ZOE CHANT FAN!!!

Wow! Another awesome read from Zoe Chant and a fabulous addition to the Protection Inc. Series! I became totally infatuated with Chant's work three years ago after reading Bodyguard Bear, the first book in this series and immediately became a fan! I fell head over heels for the premise of this series as well as the large, diverse cast of quirky yet endearing characters. Each of the books can be read as a standalone featuring a different member of Protection Inc unexpectedly finding their true mate but having to face perilous danger to claim them and their happy-ever-after. All the members of the team along with their mates generally make a return appearance in each subsequent release, immersing the reader more fully into the spellbinding world of Protection Inc. The characters become our friends and family, which is one of the things I love most about this series. Chant has continued the thrilling adventure with Leader Lion, the fifth riveting release of the Protector Inc Series, and she totally knocked it out of the park - AGAIN! As I stated earlier, each release usually includes the entire team but features a different member of the Protector Inc team and can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend reading all the books, or at least the first release, Bodyguard Bear, since it introduces the large cast of the Protector Inc security team and also sets up the world and premise for the entire series. I'm sure it's one decision you'll never regret, and if you enjoy this series half as much as I do, you'll be a fan for life! But let's details about Leader Lion!
The story is exciting, thrilling, fast-paced, easy-to-follow, suspenseful, sweet, heartwarming, romantic, seductive and sexy. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with multiple perspectives, but the primary points of view are from the two protagonists. The dialogue is smart, snappy, entertaining, well executed, at times hilarious, and flows effortlessly. I'm always impressed with the presentation and consistency of Chant's books. They're well-crafted and edited, the formatting is excellent, the covers are stunning, and the stories entertaining. Chant excels at building vividly depicted worlds with creative storylines, but it's her characters who take center stage. They literally explode from the pages, grab your attention, and completely capture your imagination as well as your heart, and each is unique with his or her own distinct mannerisms, voice, and personality. I fell in love with lion shifter Rafa Flores when he was introduced much earlier in the series and could hardly wait to read his story. Rafa is the handsome, charming playboy and prankster of the Protection Inc. team. He's a lion shifter and as the king of the jungle, asphalt jungle of Santa Martina in this case, he does have a reputation to uphold. After all, he has to stay in shape and keep his beautiful mane looking good while the lionesses do all the hunting! lol... All joking aside, I adored Rafa and discovered there's so much more to him than I ever realized. Hidden behind Rafa's easy smile and joking manner is a disheartened man with an unhappy lion. And talented, curvy stage manager Grace Chang is just bodacious! She's such a delightful contrast of idiosyncrasies, goth but feminine, hard but soft, sweet but strong, humble but brave, shy but daring, kind but determined, loyal but honest, smart but always willing to learn, and dedicated to her job but eager to help others succeed. Grace is the exact opposite of the kind of woman I'd pictured for Rafa, yet they're perfect together. Not only is their sexual chemistry off the charts smokin' hot, they're also hilarious together! See what I mean about Chant's skillful world building and character development? The heroes are all handsome, courageous, charismatic alpha males with kind hearts carefully concealed under their strong, gruff exteriors, and the heroines are beautiful, intelligent, brave women who possess remarkable inner strength, determination, courage, loyalty, selflessness, and kindness. No wilting violets among these women! I love it! Chant skillfully combines these elements to craft a delightfully entertaining paranormal tale filled to the brim with heart-pounding danger, spellbinding drama, heart-stopping adventure, spine-tingling suspense, heartbreaking angst, laugh-out-loud humor, and sweet seductive romance. Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it, which is quite obvious from my wordy and enthusiastic review! lol... I tend to get a little carried away when I truly enjoy a story! Was there anything I didn't like about this book? Not a darn thing! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since there are some steamy dream love scenes. I snickered, snorted, cackled, fumed, and sniffled through the entire book but by the end, I was happy, satisfied and well entertained! Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she publishes the next book in the series! And finally was I entertained? Completely! I was drawn into the story on the first page and held completely spellbound until the very last line. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Secrets certainly do have a way of making themselves known! Paris is starring in a new theatre production entitled Mars: The Musical and is convinced someone is trying to harm her. Naturally, Rafa and the entire team of Protection Inc are eager to take the case and bring the villains to justice. Rafa is ready for anything to distract him and his lion from their miserably lonely life. He's tired of one-night stands, tired of being the only male team member who hasn't found his mate, and even more tired of his entire family trying to persuade him to him to settle for someone he could never truly love. Sadly, Rafa and his lion have given up all hope of ever finding their soulmate but when he takes a new job and meets Grace Chang, the stage manager for Mars: The Musical, his entire world is instantly turned upside down. Rafa has finally found his mate but nothing is ever simple for this king of cats. My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I bought this book because I collect all of Zoe’s books when I can!
The cover is very nice, and my favorite kind because both beasts are on the cover and beautiful!
This is the 5th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content. While it is not mandatory to read the series in order, I highly recommend doing so because you know the characters, their camaraderie, and stories, and it makes it so much better when you love all the characters!
This is Rafa’s story, and we go to the theater! His friend asks him to protect her and look into the accidents at work. Of course, there is a mystery a foot, and he meets his mate. He makes some big blunders with his human mate along the way, so there is drama to go with the danger and treachery. I really like Grace because she is amazing at her job, but she has had trouble with the men she has dated and now has trust issues. Rafa and Grace’s story is another awesome read where Zoe does a great job with her mix of mystery, intrigue, and danger to balance the romance and make for a fantastic story!
I highly recommend to any shifter fan especially if you love this series, Zoe Chant’s work, and HEAs that are awesome! I can’t wait to see what Zoe comes up with next!

Stage manager, Grace Chang, has determined there'll be no more charming, handsome men in her life after the last one turned out to be a cheater and a thief. Now she's just determined to make the play she working on, "Mars: the Musical" a success but it seems that someone doesn't want that to happen. When one of the actresses hires a bodyguard who begins as protecting her then expands to protecting everyone, Grace is determined to ignore him as he seems to be everything she doesn't want. Bodyguard and lion shifter, Rafa Flores, knows Grace is his mate and is determined to get her to trust him.
This is a fabulous book and I loved it. I highly recommend it and the series. The characters are great to get to know and there's a lot of intrigue.

Beautiful Encounter!!!

Rafa Flores, a charming lion shifter who let his friends to believe that he was a casanova when he wasn't. He has been longing for his mate and never thought he would find her. Until he took tge job as Grace's bodyguard.
Now that he had found his mate, he would do anything to protect her. First he'll have to woo her, let her know he's a shifter, tell her about Paria and pray to the heavens that she wouldn't run for the hills. When all was said and done.
The lovebirds found themselves in danger when those behind the incidents at the theater won't stop coming after Grace. Rafa, Grace and his team did catch yhe culprit and made the show a successful one.
Hal and Ellie ( BODYGUARD BEAR ) shared some wonderful news with the whole team. It was a delightful treat to catch up with some old and neet new ones.

Awesome.
This was soooo good! She is my favorite author. Truly. And I read christine feehan (whose books have gone WAY downhill) and Sherrill kenyon .... Lindsay sands.... and I swear zoe is my favorite... her books may not be as... "technical" and such as kenyon but I have hesitated buying Kenyans books and feehans books. But if zoe has a new book...it's not even a seconds thought about buying...I buy it before I even preview it which I never do. But with zoe, I just hit "buy". I LOVE the whole... fated love ... shifter hero that saves her... no cheating and worst of all... no brooding jerk of a guy who the heroine has to try super hard to win him over so he chooses her. YUK... the closest zoe even came to that was "f'ing" Nick. Lol... that was a bit hard since neither really liked each other but still an awesome read because the hero STILL chose her and not the heroine had to convince him she's the woman for her. Ugh. I'll never write like that... ick. Any who!!!! ZOE CHANT you are a goddess among authors. My very favorite!!! Cannot WAIT until your next book! Oh and another thing I love about you woman is you put books out like lightning... keep writing and ill buy them without a seconds thought. You have a buyer and fan for life. Lol. A fun, interesting, yet simple story with good reading enjoyment.
Though very much an easy coffee time read the story and author is due some respect due to being quite descriptive about the theatre scene and what happens backstage. I felt like I was seeing it happen in real time and the actors behaviour felt true to what one imagines.
Knew who the baddie was from the start and a few other things you just knew were going to happen but still enjoyed reading this book.
Rafe was a typical idiot male and oh boy, you could see this all ending in a mess the moment Rafe wasn’t honest right from the start.
When it all went pear shaped it resolved very quickly and the ending with the baddie had very little tension or build up.
Liked Grace, she was such an interesting, smart and definitely quirky character.
Rafe, I was glad to read had been faking his womanising reputation. He is lucky it did not come back to haunt him.
Read in KU. I have read the previous books in this series and they are improving as they continue. Will be continuing to read this series to see what happens with Fiona and our mysterious friend whom we have met before and will be interested to meet Destiny’s mate.
Though very much an easy coffee time read the story and author is due some respect due to being quite descriptive about the theatre scene and what happens backstage. I felt like I was seeing it happen in real time and the actors behaviour felt true to what one imagines.
Knew who the baddie was from the start and a few other things you just knew were going to happen but still enjoyed reading this book.
Rafe was a typical idiot male and oh boy, you could see this all ending in a mess the moment Rafe wasn’t honest right from the start.
When it all went pear shaped it resolved very quickly and the ending with the baddie had very little tension or build up.
Liked Grace, she was such an interesting, smart and definitely quirky character.
Rafe, I was glad to read had been faking his womanising reputation. He is lucky it did not come back to haunt him.

This is Protection, Inc. series book 5. I enjoyed this story it has suspense, accidents, romance, and a mate. The setting of this story is a theater producing a play called Mars: The Musical. I really enjoyed reading this fast moving story.I had trouble putting down.
Grace Chang is the director of the musical, which is having accidents and scary events. Paris is the lead actress who hires Protection, Inc. Rafa is the bodyguard who realizes it is the whole show that needs protecting.
Rafa realizes that Grace is his mate and has issues about lies. What will happen when she finds out he was married for 24 hrs. to Paris? Will she understand when he explains why he didn't tell her right away? Will the reason for all the issues be figured out? Will Rafa be able to solve the mystery if who is sabotaging the musical? I give it 5 stars. "I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy without pressure to do so".

Better than I expected
When I first checked this series out I was mostly just interested in Shane, Nick, and Fiona’s books. And especially after being blown away by Shane’s and Nick’s I didn’t really want to read this one all that much. I mean switching from action and people’s past coming back to haunt them to a play being sabotaged while the (at that point) least interesting member of the team finds love isn’t exactly the greatest thing. But I wanted to get to Fiona and Justin’s book and I’m reading these in order.
Boy I was surprised the first couple of chapters had me laughing when Grace talks about her ex there is a plethora of great lines, and the whole fact that the musical was ridiculous was enough to pull me in. This book is great. I would definitely recommend it! I loved how Paris also got a happy ending that was very sweet. Can’t wait to continue the series and read more of Zoe Chant’s fabulous work!

Rafa is Hal's best friend and co-founder of Protection Inc. He's lonely, and can't believe Nick found his mate before he did. So, he puts on a playboy front, and goes home alone.
Grace is on her last chance at her Big Break, and is past concerned when her leading lady is almost killed in a "freak" accident. The Leading Lady, Paris ... goes to her ex's office to hire him as protection for her, as she fears she has a stalker. The gang of course freaks out at the mention of Ex-wife of 24 hrs ... and Rafa flees to check out the play's production. After talking to Paris, he fears it's the play itself, and wants to talk to the one in charge.
As soon as his eyes meet Grace's ... he completely looses his suave. Grace is still stinging from her ex-boyfriend who used her (and her apartment). She's trying to avoid good looking, too-good-to-be-true men.
Rafa, true to form ... like the rest of the guys at Protection, Inc., really makes some bad decisions, and has to scramble to fix things with Grace before everything blows up in his face ... while protecting her and the production.

his is Rafa and Grace's story . Rafa is a lion shifter who's friends think he is a man whore but unknown to most of them he hasn't been with anyone since he got tired of the ones who were not his mate . Grace is not looking for a man since her last one cheated and stole from her and is now in jail . She does not trust the suave good looking guys since they are usually always out for a good time only . Grace is a stage manager on a musical that is having problems . Thanks to the lead actress hiring a bodyguard she is in high hopes that everything will be fine . Rafa takes one look and falls hard and once he gets her scent he is a goner !! This story has action twists and turns and some surprises in it . It is well written and recommended to all !! Zoe Chant has an awesome series here in Protection Inc . !

Paris has been friends with Rafa for a long time. So she hired him to protect her because she thinks someone is trying to kill her. When Rafa gets to the theatre he realizes two things. One -Grace is his mate and two- someone isn't after just Paris, they are trying to sabatogue the whole play.
There are a few misunderstandings between Grace and Rafa. As well as the mystery of who and why someone wants the show to fail.
This is another great Protection Inc book. We get a glimpse of who the next book is about and I am excited to be able to read it soon.

Break a Leg! (Or not...but lion take things literally, LOL)
Okay, I think my second new favorite Chant series is this one, after the Firefighter series. This is what I read when I want ‘happy romance’ without a ton of angst (usually), engaging, sweet characters, and fun situations and worldbuilding.
While this is a shape shifter PNR, in this one, the lion didn’t really come into the story much; it’s more of a cultural, hidden thing, and the lion itself only showed up once during the story. But that’s okay, because the story didn’t need it so much. there’s mystery, some action, and a roll call of the rest of the team, and a mysterious stranger who shows up in the middle of it all.

This series keeps going strong!
What can I say? This series seems to get better and better! Rafa and Grace are so cool together. There are mistakes and a lot of learning and understanding that has to happen. The action was intense in spots, but there were some laugh out loud moments, too! Look for a rat to make an appearance! And I think we got a clue about the next story, so I can't wait!
If you like shifter stories that follows a group of great characters, some good action scenes, some great steamy scenes, super character development and a little humor added in, then this is for you. Just read them all in order. This is book 5 and they all seem to flow together. Now I have to wait for book 6, but I bet it will be worth the wait!

Rafa, finally meets his mate & via his ex-wife too. Paris is an actress working in a musical on a stage & she was almost accidentally hurt so she decided that she needed a bodyguard & hired him &/or Protection, Inc.
Grace is the Stage Manager for the musical that Paris' in & also the one that saved Paris from being hurt. Grace has also just sworn off of a certain kind of man & definitely not ready for Rafa.
Rafa decides that Paris isn't the target but that the musical is especially after learning about some sabotage going on when Paris wasn't there. & once Rafa meets Grace he knows that he's met his mate & will protect her.
This book was very good as it had lots of suspense, action, shifters, sex scenes & romance.

I love Rafa
Thank you Zoe for writing this!! I had decided there wouldn't be anymore Protectors Inc. And what a story to bring it back!! I don't think I could adore two characters more.
I've now read all Zoe chant books, but was Protectors Inc that got me hooked first. I hope this is a step in moire of these books.
There were moments that I felt the story was rushed, but that was likely due to the fact so much happened. It also felt like this was a bridge book, connecting previous story arcs to a new upcoming arc, but it was done in a way that made me feel excited for upcoming books.

Loved reading about Rafa and Grace. I loved how both of the characters were similar in how they had both kind of given up on ever finding love. I loved how despite what her past with men was, Grace was quite strong. Rafa, while this huge presence, was a big softy. Great read!

Another good solid addition to the series.
This one felt a little more light-hearted and quirky, even though there was the usual need for a bodyguard.
Super quick insta-love and intimate scenes and a little on the predictable side, not really all that much of a bad thing just no big plot twists to take me by surprise.
Bit of a hint who will be next in the series and am looking forward to see the girls find their mates now.
Overall I really enjoyed reading Rafa and Grace get their HEA.

Great series
I love this whole series. I'm excited for the next one to come out after reading the sneak peak.
I liked that Rafa's mate was so different from what he expected. The thought of Rico Suave with someone like Grace cracks me up.
I would say this book was more subtle, not as much action. I liked that it was a different story line. Oh he protected her, but there was theatre involved and all the things that entails. Grace is strong willed and independent, she stepped up to protect Rafa when needed.

A fun and exciting story that will keep you reading to figure out the mystery.
There is a whole cast of characters in these stories that will make you laugh and care and keep turning the pages to see what they do next. I loved the slightly complicated plot and I especially loved the way the author uses humor as a device to move the plot. There was enough action to keep the story interesting and just enough steam to keep the heat simmering. I did not see the Paris twist, and I am looking forward to finding out who the stranger in the forest is.

Omg this was fantastic.
I loved Grace and Mars: The musical, the cast characters were great and the touches of humour so good.
I loved the background couple of Paris and Ruth too, so cute! Indeed Rafa and Grace were such a great match as well. Plus it had plenty of my other favourite pairing of the series so far Nick and Raluca, and it was lovely having Manuel in it as well. And the sections on Fiona too! :)
Generally a perfect read! You really can't beat Zoe Chant when she's on top form! (Even when not you know you're in for a decent read)

Love Mars, the musical
I just love this series. Zone brought together another unusual pairing with Rafa and Grace. I so enjoyed Grace and her whole persona. Her dress, quirkiness and flair are terrific. Fiona getting help from the "roaming soldier" was fantastic. I thought maybe he would be her mate and there is still time for that perhaps. I can't remember all of his details but I remember him showing up before. The great grandma and fertility comments was so typical and extremely funny. Another great read from Zoe. Looking for to the next book in the series.

She's nothing he expected and everything he needed! The engaging storyline focuses on a mystery with plenty of menace, and the resolution is perfect. A surprise family member and eleventh-hour rescue from certain death add potential for future books in this series. This series is for mature readers who appreciate a well-written shifter romance!

Rafa is one of the sweetest guys, even if he has his lady's man image to fake. I loved how he was the one who wanted a mate, and it took him so long to find one. He was sweet and romantic, and once he finds his mate, he does everything he can to make her fall for him.
This is another of those stories where we have a real couple, with both sides respecting each other. Despite being protective, he gives her her space and respect her decisions. She is one of those girls that has issues and bad experiences behind her, but she gets over them for him.
Only bad point is that it was really easy to find who the bad guy was, it was kind of obvious, I would have liked a surprise.

What an amazing journey!
Wow! I just finished reading all 5 protection inc books! I cannot wait to learn what happened to Shane...where did he go...who does.Destiny find for her mate. Each book is perfect for each pack/team .member...amazing. Thank you Zoe Chant, for the passion, the excitement...i love readind books you cannot put down until you find out what happens. I especially love catching up with the lives of the rest of their pack!
