"I want you" Ryland said bluntly, "and everything I do is geared towards having you. I can't lie about that. And I'm not gonna applogize for it.

A sudden image flashed into my mind, of Ryland naked and pounding into a moaning woman from the back. A woman who looked suspiciously like me.But where I thought the author really excelled was with Ryland's character arc. He began the novel as a stomach-turning ass:
He was so selfish. So flawed. As ugly on the inside as he was beautiful on the outside....and really struggled with himself over the course of the story:
The idea of playing into my father's hands made me physically sick. This shit between us was like a disease, a tumor I could never get rid of. I hated everything he stood for but at the same time I couldn't break free, because I stood for the same things.Watching him morph into a man who was worthy of a woman like Allie was so gratifying to read.
Let me justify my statement:
• H and his three arrogant friends rule the school (just like the Hot Holes)
• They throw a party every week at a mansion
• They organize fights
• H is secretly attracted to one girl (h) who lives in this mansion (just like Emilia)
• h has a younger sister
• h and her sister move to New York and h supports her financially
• One of them is a painter (that's h's sister instead of h)
• H is a billionaire while h and her sister are struggling financially
• H and his friends are the reason why her life is like that right now
• They meet after many years in New York and he offers her money that she clearly needs to work for him.
Do you see my point? And please note that I'm only @10% so far...
I don't see a point in reading this book since I don't like the writing style at all and I've already read it something so similar to it.
DNF @ 10%
(for once I don't feel bad for giving it 1 star so early in the story)

***He was so powerful, and he was mine.***
. If you have read L.J. Shen book and liked it, this one will not disappoint. Even though these books were like twin there were uniqueness that stood out in each book.***And for the first time in my life, the aching emptiness inside me was calm.***
