i feel as though this book shouldn’t be ranked or rated

— basically about military prisons during this time and beforehand and has some really really awful stuff. talks about how military prisons often work outside the constitution since there is a separate military code. this basically means abuse is tolerated and often acceptable.

i had to skip some pages in the latter half just because it was so so so graphic and horrible and all true which makes it worse.

i recommend it just for the added knowledge and awareness of the issue - though i wonder what this looks like today. how are military prisons handled today? not that the history wouldn’t be worth it to know but curious about the change overtime

A stark reminder of the pervasive nonsensical brutality when secrecy, incompetence & conviction collide. Would make good material for a death metal album...

Goofy ass name for a book (since there's no description I'll make an attempt) which is about the atrocious conditions in AWOL prisons & various Vietnam protesters.
