With this book the author returns to Morgan Creek the town that Rylan Saintcrow ran as a sanctuary for vampires. He has long since broken up the community of both predators and prey that resided there but as the story begins he is leaving behind Ethan the human he recently sired in order to save his life. To say Ethan is a reluctant vampire is putting it mildly and he really has no idea what he wants to do with this new and much darker life that stands before him. Remembering his cousin and the friend she thought he should get to know Ethan gets the phone number of Sofia who until recently wanted to embrace all things that go bump in the night . Sofia might be young but with the confidence of youth ( plus a handy stake ! ) she’s curious enough to meet this reluctant fledgling vampire but when they touch there’s a spark that borders on magical but is it enough to make Ethan want to live ? I’ve previously enjoyed this authors earlier work with its almost gothic undertones so found this story to be quite different. If frank I’m a little nonplussed as it wasn’t exactly what I expected. Saintcrow whilst previously apparently pretty nasty is now all sweetness ( well almost ! ) due to finding love and is turning out to be a regular Savior in this story. Ethan of course is the hero here but for this reader he was terribly overshadowed by Saintcrow . Sofia already knows that vampires are real but to me she just felt very one dimensional and just didn’t capture my interest. There is action and danger within this book so it’s not all angst and navel gazing but alas the romance really didn’t wow me. Perhaps if I’d realised it would feel more modern with a couple that were never going to push the boundaries of passion I would have enjoyed it more but unfortunately as I’d expected a chemistry driven gothic type story it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I think upon reflection that the YA type characters are what didn’t work for me and I obviously prefer much more dominant and fierce male heroes but that’s me and I’m sure that there will be plenty of readers who enjoy this as it was an interesting story. This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

Passion and excitement explodes from the pages of this thrilling traditional vampire romance as Sofia and Ethan try to overcome some traditional issues regarding vampires and some not so traditional ones. The characters are strong and convincing as they draw readers into their story as Ethan has trouble accepting what he is and has lots of worries that go along with being turned into a “monster,” while Sofia has to wonder if being with Ethan is the best thing for her and her future. This has lots of emotional turmoil that readers can understand as well as keeping them glued to the pages as they wonder if this couple will reach a happily ever after or will their difference be more than they can handle.
The plot is steady to fast paced plot and keeps readers hanging on the edge of their seat with lots of thrilling suspense as Sofia and Ethan not try to move forward but a fight with an enemy that has set his sights on Sofia and the town of Morgan Creek. This enemy takes some elaborate measures to get what he wants most of which are deadly and brings unknown elements into the mix. Which gives readers as well as Ethan and Saintcrow, quite a few surprising twists to become caught up in.
The author is instigating some changes to the town of Morgan Creek and I have to wonder where she is taking this thrilling and mesmerizing series, especially since I can imagine several different paths she could take from here which could mean more wonderfully spine tingling vampire romances to come for readers. Note: While the story may be in the more traditional style of vampire romance, it is in no way boring and readers are easily smitten and charmed by the sexy vampires of Morgan Creek.
Amanda Ashley is one of those rare birds—a California native. She's lived in Southern California her whole life and, except for the earthquakes, she loves it. She shares a home with her husband, as well as an adorable Pomeranian named Lady, a wild house sparrow named Tweety, and a tortoise who remains nameless. Amanda and her alter ego, Madeline, have written 60 books. Not bad for someone who started writing just for the fun of it. Her books have made the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists. You can get a sneak peek at her next book on her website AmandaAshley.com.

This is about a romance about a vampire Ethan who has to come to terms that he is in fact a vampire now, with out the consent and a human women Sofia.
The plot was slow, the characters were likable and the sex faded to black, and the some action sprinkled on top.
I am read Amanda Ashley over the time, and have come to like her writing it for me is either hit or miss, but this time it was in between. this is a book in a series, I would be interested to see what the first 2 are all about.
Twilight Desires by Amanda Ashley is book Three in the Morgan Creek series. This is the story of Sofia Ravenwood and Ethan Parrish. I have read the previous books (and loved them!), but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Ethan was turned into a Vampire by Rylan Saintcrow after being attached. Rylan had the choice to let him die or to turn him and choose to turn him (happened in previous book). Now Ethan is working to come to turns with this fate he didn't want. When his cousin tells him about Sofia a women that once was interested in Vampires might be the person to talk with. Ethan is filled with loneliness and a lost since their is nothing left in his previous life for him. But when he and Sofia meet their starts a spark that brings him back to wanting to mover forward...with her. But Sofia isn't only desired by him....someone else wants her too. This was another exciting story that I couldn't put down...loved it!
This book was boring with a capital B. Did anything actually happen? Was there even a plot other than boy meets girl? Still haven’t figured that out and at 40% I didn’t want to do this was a DNF (which I feel super guilty about). . Our hero was turned into a vampire and he’s not really happy about it. He doesn’t know what to do with his life anymore after his change. His cousin decides to set him up with her sister-in-law who doesn’t have anything against vampires. That’s it- that’s pretty much all that happened. . As for the characters- they were both completely meh. The heroine is blah and boring but young (honestly 19 is too young for this), she had no opinion on anything really. The hero is also blah and boring- 7 years older than the heroine and honestly just came off as depressed. When it comes to PNR I love world building- and I got nothing- I figure some people know vampires exist? What a whole lot of meh and BORING.
This is Ashley’s third and newest installment in her Morgan Creek series. *In the name of full disclosure, I did receive an advanced copy of this book directly from the author, herself, in exchange for my honest review.* The book’s official release date was August 28, 2018 (though the cover of the copy in my possession states it'll be available in September of 2018), but, knowing I review books and have reviewed her books in the past, Ashley reached out to me and kindly offered to send an advanced uncorrected proof to me. I, of course, was happy to read it. I did, however, first need to read the preceding two books in this series! If you’ve read those recent reviews, then you’ll know I had some mixed feelings. I liked some of the characters and really appreciated the uniqueness of the plot surrounding the location of Morgan Creek, itself, but some things didn’t strike me as outstanding. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what this book has to offer. We were introduced to both Sofia and Ethan in the second book in the series (Sofia is Micah’s younger sister and Ethan is Holly’s cousin) – more so Sofia than Ethan. From what I already know about them, Sofia is a bit of a spitfire and Ethan has no qualms about giving Saintcrow, his sire, any attitude or lip. I’m looking forward to seeing how Ethan’s dynamic plays out with the other vampires in Morgan Creek – especially because he’s always believed in vampires and hated them so much – and I’m really hoping we continue to see Sofia’s attitude and spunk. I have felt that the biggest thing this series has been lacking is a really unique, standout female lead; I’m really hoping Sofia can accomplish this task.
***
I'm about 75 pages into this book after starting it last night. It's a much easier read and I like the pace of the story; I think Ethan's confusion and frustration coming to terms with his new life as a vampire is well-written. So far, Sofia does seem better developed than the other female leads I've encountered and I hope it continues. It feels like she really does have a life of her own and, while some of her attitudes and behavior is a bit immature, I think it suits her age well (she is, after all, only 19). Ethan has an attitude and a bit of a death wish. I like seeing a change in him when he's around Sofia.
However...Sofia has a feels "her heart swell with love" 31 pages into the story...thirty...one...pages...(Ashley 31). I found it unbelievable and unrealistic, especially because she and Ethan had only met a couple of times at that point. It almost makes me wonder if that was a hiccup in the writing because there haven't been any mentions since then. One other hiccup is the fact that Ethan keeps taking her to bars and out for drinks (she likes tequila sunrises)...but she's only 19. I am not upset over the fact that she's underage-drinking, I just can't quite figure out how it's so easy for her to get a drink absolutely everywhere they go. Ethan hasn't even considered that it might be more difficult to take a 19-year-old out to a bar. Granted, Ethan does most of the ordering, but no fake ID has been mentioned and no one's bothered to card her. It's just a little too easy, almost as if we (conveniently) forgot how old she actually is.
Some moments have felt a bit scattered and contradictory. POTENTIAL SPOILERS: The scene where Mateo uses a human henchman to kidnap Sofia seems a bit random and ill-planned; on top of the fact that I'm not really sure why he had Sofia locked in a basement while he fed on another woman he'd kidnapped. It seemed like a lot of trouble for not a lot of real reason. The biggest issue I've taken thus far is with Ethan's very irrational, mercurial mood in Chapter 10. I get being upset because Sofia hasn't called; however, he'd just had a wonderfully productive planning meeting about the changes he wants to make to Morgan Creek. He seemed to be getting exactly what he wanted. From one sentence to the next, Ethan transforms into a self-loathing, suicidal maniac willing to do whatever it takes to get Saintcrow to come and put him out of his misery. It felt very sudden and I actually had to put the book down and wonder, "What the heck just happened here?" We'll see how this progresses.
One other little plot hole I feel the need to mention: Earlier in this review, I state that Ethan always hated vampires. This statement stemmed from Holly's statement in book two that, when Ethan was a child, he always used to carry around objects to ward off vampires. Last night when I was reading, Ethan indicated that he'd never really believed in vampires. Hm.

I finished this book just over a week ago; however, I was in an airport on my way out of state (sans computer), so I didn’t get a chance to finish my review on this until this morning. I ended up liking Ethan a good amount and I liked Sophia more than I’ve liked other female leads in this series. I particularly liked the conflict between Ethan and Sophia’s older, rightfully-protective brother (and vampire), Micah.
I do have to say that I found the romance to be a bit hasty. (***Minor spoiler: I found the marriage between Ethan and Sophia to be pretty rushed. I get excitement and all that, but it was borderline unbelievable. I found their attraction to feel more natural than their actual love, if that makes any sense.***) However, I liked their banter and the sparks between them. I think their romance felt the most realistic to me of all of the three books I’ve read in this series.
There was a decent villain in this book in the form of a vampire who wanted to bring Morgan Creek back to its “glory days” when wandering humans were kept captive by a coven of vampires. However, I kept waiting for more like-minded vampires to join in the fight and give Ethan and Saintcrow a better run for their money (on top of the fact that I expected Saintcrow to call upon Micah when the proverbial shit really hit the fan and Kadie went missing. It felt strange that a vampire so in love with his mate wouldn’t call upon every single resource at his disposal when it came down to it. Who cares of Micah and Holly were on what would technically be their second honeymoon (they went to New York first at the end of their book)? That felt a bit odd to me.) These like-minded vampires were hinted at and I kept waiting for something to happen with them, but it never did. The greater threat came into play with the introduction of another supernatural being: a witch. There were a couple of them in this book and I would say (from my relatively limited knowledge) that they were pretty “purist” as well, which sticks nicely with the rest of Ashley’s writing. Even though there was more tension in this book with the variety of conflicts and some decent “bad guys,” I still found myself longing for the big knock-down, drag-out battle scene. I know if I were Saintcrow, I’d want revenge in the worst way. Nothing would be able to stop my desire for blood; my own safety be damned. The way this was handled made him seem a bit more fragile than one would expect from a master vampire. I feel like I’m spending quite a bit of time on Saintcrow in this review and he’s not even the male lead. I think this is because the series really does revolve around him. Another reason is probably because I like him more now than I did in even his own book. I feel like I really got to see the charm, wit, and acerbic sense of humor/sarcasm that I didn’t quite get to experience earlier. I love it when characters develop and Saintcrow has done so. ***Minor spoiler: Also, the whole walking in sunlight thing was VERY convenient and I’m not too sure I cared for it. The rest of Ashley’s vampires are very “purist” and that’s something I truly respect, so perhaps this is what rubbed me the wrong way. I may have forgiven it for Saintcrow, but as soon as Ethan was allowed to do so, that killed it for me. What goes hand-in-hand with this is my opinion that Saintcrow seemed overly generous with his master vampire mojo. He let Micah drink from him, thereby instilling in him heightened powers; he drained Ethan again and let him drink, affording him additional powers and abilities (like walking in sunlight). I feel like these were things that he should have kept very close to the chest, regardless of circumstances or who the other vampires were. These abilities are what allow him to be so powerful, to lord his strengths over other vampires and maintain control over his domain. Eternity is a long time and, should Micah or Ethan ever decide to turn their backs on him, they would now present a greater threat. Something to think about.
***
Overall, I think this book was my favorite of the series. Ethan gives Micha a run for my favorite male lead in the series. I think Micah has a better sense of humor, but Ethan has a much better “tortured, angst-ridden, moody male” vibe about him. I liked Ethan’s head-butting with Saintcrow, but (as previously mentioned) some of the interactions felt a bit forced or nonsensical (as in, they weren’t quite what I was expecting or they didn’t quite fit with Ethan’s emotional state). I enjoyed the development of Saintcrow, but this proves how the series really does focus on the male leads. Kadie and Holly really fell to the wayside in this book. I expected a lot more from Holly as a secondary character, especially because she was the one who helped hook up Ethan and Sophia. Instead, when it came time for Ethan and Micah to meet, she really took a big leap into the background. I thought her rapport with Sophia (and as a calming, rational person in Micah’s life…or death, if you’re a stickler for semantics) would go a long way toward developing the plot and conflict, but it didn’t really. I’m curious to see if other vampires from Morgan Creek will crop up in future books. Jokes were made that the rest of Micah and Sophia’s family should be turned into vampires since they’ve already gotten a good start, but I don’t know if I expect this to be an actual hint to future stories.
I’m honored that Ashley chose to send me an advanced copy of this book to review. I’m always thrilled whenever an author reaches out to me and I’m more than happy to contribute my own (tiny) voice to the conversation. I recommend this book to vampire romance purists out there. While the romance is a bit tamer than I’m used to, I think this presents a good alternative to those who find other authors a bit too “raunchy.” There is romance; there are quality classic vampires. If this is what you’re looking for, then Ashley’s writing is right up your alley. I had my criticisms for each of the books in this series, but I tend to write much more in-depth reviews when I know an author will see it. I would want the breadth and depth from anyone who was reviewing my own writing, so I feel like I’m doing a service to the writing community. I found aspects which could have been expanded upon and some things I felt worked well. The underlying plot of Morgan Creek is unique, interesting, and creative. There is a ton of potential here for even more books in the series.
Warning, though I try my best to avoid this, all reviews can contain spoilers of some kind. If you would like to know just my overall opinion of the book, and otherwise go into reading it blind, please scroll down to my overall and would I recommend it section.
I Voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Get your vampire hunting kit ready, it just might come in handy with this story. I had heard a lot about this author and thought this new book would be a great place to start. We start our tale with Ethan thinking about how his life has changed for the worse since he is now a newly changed vampire. I did not read other installments about the book, however, this story did a great job filling me in without doing an info dump or forcing me to feel I need to read the other books. Ethan was on his way to his cousins wedding when he was attacked outside the church. As it turns out, his cousin was hitched to a vampire, and just like humans, vampires want friends to come along to see them get married. When a vampire by the name of Saintcorw sees Ethan he makes the choice to turn him and save Ethan’s life. But when Ethan wakes up, he almost wishes he had passed on.
I have to be honest, I am not found of the whole down in the dumps because of what you are thing in the hero’s of my romance novels, so this was a bit of a put off for me. Ethan’s personality does support this depressed outlook on things, but because of how he acts about his situation and reacts in social interactions, whenever I tried to picture him in my mind I get the image of a teenager rather than the powerful looking male he is described as. Please understand this is just my opinion on that kid of male supernatural being and in no way says the writing of this character is bad. The powers he has and the way he wields them despite his concerns is spot on. He is attracted to a human named Sofia. He doesn’t understand why but her blood calls to him in a way he can’t resist. While I do not like how he constantly broods over how he can’t really be with her and the reasons why his vampire state would be bad for her, I did really enjoy how accepting of his feelings he is and how he embraces them so openly. He really doesn’t try too hard to fight it and accepts the circumstances they are in.
Sofia is a nineteen year old who recently had a desire to turn into a vampire and was very interested in seeing one romantically. An attack by another master vampire soon threw a bucket of ice on that flame though. A vicious attack will make a girl arm up, and Sofia makes sure she reads all the books on vampires she can get, then applies it to her everyday life. Now when her sister in law, Holly, who is also a vampire and Sofia knows it, calls her asking if she can give Sofia’s number to her cousin, Ethan, she finds her world turned upside down. Maybe those books missed some things after all?
I have to say, again I was left a bit unimpressed with this character. Sofia feels very one dimensional to me. She gives in to everyone's demands and questions with alarming ease. The struggle with the strange urge to be with and allow Ethan to drink her blood is almost nonexistent which comes off as strange given her inner dialogue on the matter. I also find it odd that she’s only nineteen and already lives alone in a nice apartment after having her first job for only a few month, and somehow she got a good paying and position right out the gate. I do love her humor though, I mean instead of a box of protection for fun in her nightstand she has a bottle of Holley water and a stake, and her boyfriend is a vampire. Irony at its best.
As for the romance side of things, I really hate to say this but it just wasn’t there for me. I felt that these two had a strange love at first bite kind of thing happen that the reader somehow misses. This might have been more from me feeling disturbed by the way vampires in this book get when they are turned on. Ethan seems to get more of an urge to drink her blood than he does to throw her down on a bed, which translates to him running from her to protect her more often than not.
I do enjoy Saintcrow though. He is not a master vampire without any care. He wants his fielding, Ethan, to be happy and does everything he needs to in order to make that happen. He also takes full responsibility for him and tells him over and over that if he kills a human for anything besides self defense, he will kill him.
This book does have some POV slips and was not my cup of tea at all, but I want to point out this was not because it wasn’t written well, it just wasn’t my kid of story. I do wish the description of the book gave more hints to the YA feel of it as well as the fact that Ethan is newly turned. If you’re looking for a well written book and the very Beta and depressed vampire theme is your style you might want to give this book a try.
Overall: This book felt it more belonged as a YA romance than a regular romance which is what it is labeled as. The hero spends most of his time depressed about what he is and the heroine is very lackluster. The story is well written but I think way to tame for my taste.
Would I Recommend It: I leave this one up to you. The book has some POV slips but they are obvious mistakes and therefore don’t cause much confusion. It is not a typical vampire romance but at the same time I really don’t think fans of this kind of paranormal romance sub genre would enjoy the depressed newly tuned hero theme. If the more tame kind of paranormal romance is interesting to you than yes give this one a go.
"This isn't going to be easy, is it?" His eyes grew dark, intense. "Nothing worth fighting for ever is."
Rating: 3/5
Ethan was forced to be a vampire. He wouldn't wish this lifestyle on anyone and hates his life until he meets Sofia, who used to want to be a vampire herself. Not wanting to let his desire for her overrule his need for blood, he pushes her away but persistent as ever, Sofie stands her ground. Throw in a revenge-seeking old vamp and Sofie's and Ethan's happily ever after is put at risk.
- Characters - Ethan was JUST made a vampire and ruled out ever finding love but then decides very quickly to fall in love with a young woman set up by his match-making cousin. I feel like he just "settled" - this was the first woman he's every been with since turning and it just happened to be his match?? Not very believable. Sofie was only 19 and still acted like it - she didn't mature much as the story dragged on. In fact, neither character really had much development at all. They remained stasis through everything and there were some great areas in the plot that could have developed them more.
- Setting/World - Focused mainly in the old vampire refuge town of Morgan Creek which has now become a ghost town with literal ghosts. Part of the plot has Ethan and SaintCrow redeveloping the town to encourage tourism and to give Ethan a purpose. I like the aspect of their being a vamp out for revenge but there wasn't much action to support the initiative. The setting itself was okay - I wish more about the town and its history was included.
- Writing - The writing was there but it also wasn't there. There was no *passion* in the conversations or scenes that I'd expect from a paranormal romance especially with vampires. It was simple and straightforward - no suspenseful foreshadowing or cliffhanging chapters that had me reading just one more.
This can be read as a standalone novel in the Morgan Creek series and even though I haven't read the first 2 novels, I don't feel like this one is one the same level as the others.
"Do you think I'm worth fighting for?" .... "Definitely."
4 Stars Review by Sue Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog
Twilight Desires by Amanda Ashley is a paranormal romance about a vampire, Ethan Parrish who must come to terms with the fact that he was turned into a vampire without consent. It is also about the human woman, Sofia, he comes to love.
With Ethan unable to live in the light and Sofia unwilling to give up her humanity to live in the dark, how will their fledgling love survive?
I was immersed in this story. This author is a wonderful story teller. She weaved her magic and I was entranced by this book.
The plot was a little slow but did have some action scenes sprinkled in.
Sofia and Ethan’s characters as well as their relationship was well developed. I loved that Sofia questioned becoming vampire. The fact that although she was previously intrigued by them, seeing and knowing the reality makes her hesitate. This was so well done. It shows her humanity.
I also liked the fact the Ethan grieved the loss of his humanity. We don’t often see vampires long for their humanity very often. It was all just very well written and done. Intriguing.
As for their relationship. It was slow and steady but I don’t think it could have been any other way. With Sofia leery of becoming vampire and Ethan unsure of who he is and what he wants, it only makes sense that they wade through their problems before making such huge decisions.
The only downfall, for me, was that the intimate scenes faded to grey.
A very well written story. I’m now excited to see what the previous installments in this series provide.
I received this e-book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Ethan never wanted to become a Vampire but he was attacked and turned. He despises what he is although he is nothing like he thinks he is.
Sofia used to have an infatuation with Vampires until her family was attacked. After that the infatuation was gone. She was trying to trust as she had family members who were vampires or turned to be one for their mate.
When Sofia meets Ethan she knows she has made the right decision in meeting him and yes, there is passion between them. Ethan feels the same but constantly fights with the despise he feels for himself as a vampire.
There is danger waiting though. In Morgan Creek, which his mentor Rylan owns, another vampire has decided he wants to take over and bring time back to when the vampire was the king and humans their slaves. He doesn't understand the idea of co-existing in the world with humans.
With Sofia's love and support, will Ethan realize what a good man he is? Can the evil be destroyed?
I am a fan of the authors and I did like this story. I felt like it started off a bit slow but it did pick up.
Ethan has such terrible confidence in himself, of the man he really is...a good man, loving and smart. He really has not one ounce of evil in him. He and Sofia really are made for one another. Ethan has changed due to her love and even sees a future for them but first he has to face the evil threatening to take over.
I enjoyed this story and would like to read the first 2 books!
Sofia Ravenwood is a young woman who has been intrigued by vampires ever since she was a kid. But, when a vampire attacked her family, she vowed that she would never deal with them again. That was until she saw Ethan Parrish for the first time. Ethan loved his life when he was a human. He had so many opportunities, and was looking forward to his future. When he decided to attend a wedding, he was attacked and turned into a vampire against his will. He lived a lonely life until he met Sofia. These two wayward hearts are drawn together not knowing that an inexplicable evil lurks just around the corner. This was a fast paranormal read. Sofia came off as an intelligent woman who understood that true love meant you needed a commitment to forge a future. Ethan is a flawed hero trying to find his place. He has a great heart and feels the need to protect the ones he loves. I also felt that he was a little conflicted with some of his decisions. In one chapter, he wanted to be with Sofia. The next chapter, Ethan decides to leave her for her own good. This happened more than once in the story. I felt that it was too repetitive. He would have been a stronger character if he was more decisive. The plot was action packed and filled with intriguing twists that upped the suspense, and made me turn the pages hoping for a happy ending. I got it! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Twilight Desires is another amazing vampire romance/action book by Amanda Ashley. I have read and loved almost every book she has written and highly recommend starting at the beginning of the Morgan's Creek "series" before reading this one.
Sofia was always fascinated with vampires and always wanted to become one, until she could. A strong, independent young woman, her more recent experiences with the beings had left her questioning her wants and desires. Finally out on her own, that conflict came to the forefront when she agreed to go out with new vampire, and cousin of her new sister-in-law, Ethan.
Ethan is not quite the stereotypical unwilling vampire. Frustrated with the forced changes to his life (he did not turn by choice), Ethan's cousin hears the desperation in his voice and urges him to call Sofia.
Moragan's Creek becomes the center of action and adventure, just while Sofia and Ethan are trying to work through their personal and couple issues. Will they make it? Will the town survive? You have to read and find you...I will say, though, that it is worth the time to find out:-).
If you read paranormal romance…vampire romance in particular; then you know Amanda Ashley is one of the best, when it comes to sensual, intriguing plots, with strong males that will make you swoon. Well, in her latest title in the genre of paranormal romance she brings us Twilight Desires.
Though this book was good it wasn’t great. In my opinion, this book was geared towards the young adult….18+ whose just now finding the world of paranormal. The only take away about this book was the character, Ethan. He whined more than your average girl. Okay, we get that he didn’t want to be a nightwalker; but you know what I say to that. “It beats being dead” Thank goodness, he found someone like Sofia, though young, she was very mature for her age. She had plenty of issues herself, didn’t let those issues interfere in living her life.
Twilight Desires was a fast-paced read, and if you can get past the male character whining, then your home free to a good romance.
It's one of those stories where you do find time to read, relax, enjoy and cannot wait for the last page and then, when it comes ... oh dear, I've finished!! It is a time when the world is not normal, well as normal as it can be with vampires walking the earth! And then there are those who can only walk at night and just a few 'special' ones that can tolerate daylight hours! Sofia is human, but has always been fascinated with vampires and even knows that some are in her family! Sofia is young and wants to live life to the fullest; and it's this one dark night that she gets her wish for adventure! Sofia's life is suddenly entwined with the rakish Ethan and their attraction puts them in danger from themselves and others. Both want to have purpose in life, careers, relationships and a forever after. Oh boy, intrigue, suspense and vengeance, litters the pages in true vampire style ..... definitely a good read!!
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I am a huge fan of this author and have been reading her books for a long time. I was very people to get a copy of this book. I love my vampires too. It is up paranormal being of choice. I have to say that I love Ethan and Sofia's story and they both have their share of problems and issues. Ethan did not want to become a vampire but it was did against his will and to say that he needs time to adjust to all of this is messed up journey. Sofia was obsessed with vampires until a vampire attack on her family changed all of that and she wanted nothing to do with them. But when she meets Ethan there is something that is almost magical and it makes her wonder if her choice if all of them are as bad as she assumed. Now if you want to know the details of what happens next you are going to have to grab a copy for yourself.
Morgan creek #3, another great vampire story by one of my favorite authors! Ethan is a new fledgling vampire who is all alone. His sire is Rylan Saintcrow a master vampire. Sophia is a young woman who used to be fascinated by all things vampire. Now she isn't sure if she even wants to befriend Ethan. Soon they begin a relationship and Sophia's life is in danger. An old vampire wants revenge on Saintcrow for freeing the people of Morgan creek who were once prisoners of the town. He wants to reopen the town and make it what it once was. Ethan already has permission to turn Morgan Creek into a small town into a great recreation and vacation spot. The battle begins and it get's ugly! A must read for vampire fan's!
This is a fast to love, fast to form lasting relationships kind of book. The character of Sophia is young and curious about the vampire lifestyle. Ethan was turned without his approval and has ambivalent feelings about being vampire. They learn and grow in their relationship together and with others. Ethan’s sire is helpful and nurturing in his own way. He is able to use his many years alive/undead to teach Ethan about the ways of the vampire. I read this ARC on netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Twilight desires im going to admit had me lost. The relationship between Ethan and Sofia is just awkward and throughout the whole book their relationship felt forced.
Ethan is a recently turned vampire and adjusting to the world around him. Sofia is the youngest and finally loving on her own. Their start is back and forth adjusting. But when you get further along i honestly looked around at one point and asked myself seriously? Saintcrow was a welcome addition as was Katie, Michal, and Holly.
There was serious potential for this one. I just felt it missed the mark for me .
Well where do I start..I would say my new favorite paranormal vampire romance. The story line was just amazing, characters were perfect, i would change a thing. I literally could not put this book down. It is written in a way that keeps you so completely into the book you just cant stop readying. It is a fast paced read, and if you enjoy vampire romances, i would defiantly suggest it.
I loved this book! Sofia asked all the questions I had about being with a vampire. She may be young but she is comfortable in her own skin and knows what she wants. Ethan was a little to angsty at first but meeting Sofia cured him of that for the most part. This was a sweet and fun addition to the series. If you haven’t read the others you shouldn’t have any problems reading this stand alone.
I was disappointed by the writing style. As long as the book was, I feel like it was too rushed and all over the place. It was the third in the series, and thankfully a good stand alone because I had not read the first two. I got the impression that it was supposed to be a feel-good love story mixed with paranormal but it didn’t really work too well.
This book was decent. It reminded me a lot of a less wolf infested version of twilight! The “action” was fast paced maybe a couple sentences of it at a time and the growing relationship between the two main characters was alright, if youre very into the whole vampire theme and paranormal romance reads, this would be a good choice for you!
Arc from net galley is book 3of this vampire series. Ethan is a newly turned vampire having a hard time adjusting. But a vampire fan girl might do the job and rebuilding of Morgan Creek . Another exciting book in this series that has a different spin on vampires.
This is the third book in the series and I think they are better if read in order. I liked this book in this one we meet Ethan a newly turned vampire who is struggling to deal with what his life is now. This was a good addition to the series and was a good paranormal romance
3.5 stars Very sweet G-rated PNR. The dynamics of the story are sweet but slightly lacking... there was just not a full thought beginning to end, it was a tad boring at times.
