I'm always a sucker for a Spider-Man/Human Torch team up. This is basically a short novelization of what could have been a story arc in a Spidey cartoon; fun and pitched for a broad and generally younger audience. It does nail the characterization of its cast, even if the story itself is pretty simple.

Solid for what it is. Quick in-and-out Spider-Man story for youngsters. Pretty weird MJ is talked about, and even talked to, but has zero speaking lines, though.

I read this when I was in high school, sooooo long ago (DECADES!).

It was a lot of fun. Short, easy, and accessible to someone who wasn't really a reader at that point.

My dad got this book for me years ago back when he worked at B Dalton Bookstore in Parkdale and I remember loving this story so much. I guess over the years for some reason I got rid of it so I decided to request this gem of my childhood through inter-library loan to see if I love it as much as I did when I was a kid and sure enough I still done. Great read.

YA novelization of the comic book that has nothing to recommend it. Of minor interest to adaptation scholars. Generally competent, but unexciting.
