Unknowingly carrying an evil alien symbiote to Earth, Spiderman is forced to battle his deadliest enemy when the alien joins with human host Eddie Brock, a journalist disgraced by Spiderman, who longs for revenge. Original.
I'm always a sucker for a Spider-Man/Human Torch team up. This is basically a short novelization of what could have been a story arc in a Spidey cartoon; fun and pitched for a broad and generally younger audience. It does nail the characterization of its cast, even if the story itself is pretty simple.
Solid for what it is. Quick in-and-out Spider-Man story for youngsters. Pretty weird MJ is talked about, and even talked to, but has zero speaking lines, though.
My dad got this book for me years ago back when he worked at B Dalton Bookstore in Parkdale and I remember loving this story so much. I guess over the years for some reason I got rid of it so I decided to request this gem of my childhood through inter-library loan to see if I love it as much as I did when I was a kid and sure enough I still done. Great read.
