It’s vacation time for Harper Harlow and her boyfriend Jared Monroe. They have big plans to head to northern Lower Michigan for a wine tasting event – which happens to be close to a small town called Shadow Lake – and they’re even taking Zander and Shawn along for the ride. In Shadow Lake, Ivy Morgan finds herself in a good mood. It’s officially the start of morel season (her favorite holiday) and she knows exactly how she’s going to spend the next three weeks of her life, much to her fiancé Jack Harker’s chagrin. Everything changes when the two groups meet in the woods – the whimsy of morel hunting too much for Harper’s group to turn away from – and they happen to stumble across a body. It seems a local woman, a party enthusiast with a bad reputation, was shot down in the middle of the forest and it appears someone is out there hunting people rather than animals or mushrooms … making for a very dangerous morel season. When Harper and Ivy meet, they’re instantly intrigued. They’re used to being the only magical people in the room, and now they have someone to compare notes with. Jared and Jack are worried about the growing bond, especially when Harper and Ivy decide to solve a mystery … and put themselves in harm’s way to do it. It’s double the hands on deck for this one when Jared and Jack find themselves in a race against time to track down their troublesome females, terror driving them in case death catches up with them first. It’s a magical meeting and showdown, and none of them are ever going to be the same again.
Note: This is a full-length crossover mystery featuring characters from the Ivy Morgan and Harper Harlow series.
Entertaining Paranormal cozy mystery series crossover event
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series crossover event. A great cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Ivy Morgan basically is a witch she does not like to be called one but her powers are growing. Harper Harlow is a young woman who can see and speak to ghosts and has devise a contraption to help send spirits to the other side when they need to go. In this crossover event Harper Harlow and Ivy Morgan meet each other when Harper and her crew go on a short vacation up to where Ivy and her family lives. Ivy and her brother typically go out on the first day of morel hunting this year Ivy and her fiancé Jack have gone out to do so. Harper and her crew have shown up on their first day checked into a motel and have no plans until the following day and find out about morels and decide to go try hunting them. While out and about they meet Ivy and Jack and a short time later the adventure begins. Read on and see what happens as the two groups of extraordinary people to bind their abilities in their actions and solve a mystery with plenty of action twists and a ghost. Always entertaining always fun. Check it out.
Watching the interaction of the casts of the two series as they solved a murder was entertaining. The banter that has become par for the course in each series continues, making for almost non stop snappy dialogue. The problem with that being the dialogue seems unlikely at times. Still, it's an entertaining tale. I hope for more crossovers.
it was ok, a bit repetitive the childish attitude they have sometimes, i still don't like Jared's attitude, he knows what she does and Harper has to be careful but he goes too far, i'm going to try the Ivy Morgan Series
Harper and Jared along with their friends are going on vacation to a wine tasting. When they get to this new town they end up hunting for mushrooms, even though Zander doesn't like this idea. :) And that is when Harper meets Ivy. Things take a turn for the worse when a dead body is found and all of them decide to get in on the mystery.
This book was one of my favorites. I adored Harper and Ivy together! They were great. And the author does a great job of showing how different, yet alike they are as well. And the boyfriends are much the same. This was just so awesome. I look forward to more now.
I really enjoyed this combination of 2 of my favorite characters in Ms. Hart’s universe. I will say during the beginning chapters I could literally feel my neural connections rewiring themselves, since I’m so used to “seeing” each pair of character in their own universe. Seeing them together took an adjustment, but it was well worth it! I liked how Jack and Jared meshed just as Ivy & Harper did; the “bromance” and the girls friendship (as well as the boys slightly kinky imagination) provided some lighthearted moments. It was a little strange at first to see all of the characters interacting so seamlessly, since I always thought that Jack and Ivy were a bit older and more mature than Jared, Harper, and Zander. I think they are older, but all of the circumstances bridged the gap.
The plot was typical of both of these series, I figured out who the killer was halfway through, but the resulting hijinks and girls’ adventures were interesting as ever. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone reading either series-since both girls’ powers were explained. I’m also curious to see how Ivy’s powers continue to grow after interacting with Harper, and if Harper will see any changes to her powers (I doubt it though).
My one issue with Harper’s series is Zander’s attitude. It started off fine. It’s very similar to Amanda Lee’s character/relationship Aiden Grimm and his sister Aisling. Side note-I think these authors must be friends, since so many of their characters are modeled the same and the writing styles are very similar. Back to Zander, he has been fun from the beginning. His loud, over the top, flamboyant attitude was funny, while sometimes crossing the line, but he was a good character that added to the story. However, the past 2-3 stories (including this one, even though he was barely in it) set my teeth on edge. His usually fun snarky words & actions have turned spiteful & most of it is directed to Jared & Harper. I understand the dynamics between the 3 of them, but his actions are starting to grate on me like nails on a chalkboard. That’s just my opinion though, other readers may completely disagree. It’s certainly not going to stop me from reading Ms. Hart’s books.
I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys Ms. Harper’s books. While the Hardy Brothers series didn’t have any supernatural powers the characters are what drove it, just as both the Ivy Morgan series and Harper Harlow series drive them. Plus, Ms. Hart churns out books extremely fast, so you never have to wait too long to get your next fix!
I’m just waiting to see when Ivy & Harper will overlap with Rowan (from the Rowan Gray series)…..Just a thought! :)
I downloaded this one on audible, because I wanted to give Harper Harlow another try, and I love the Ivy Morgan series.
Unfortunately, the reader was so bad, I could not enjoy this book. Her voice for Zander, and the way she read him made me hate him with a passion. I wanted him to leave. I couldn't stand him. Rather than enjoying his vacation with Shawn, he was petulant, pouty, and disgusting because Harper made a new friend. That doesn't show he loves her. That shows he wants to control her and possess her and does not care one lick about her happiness. I honestly have not read more than book one in that series, so I hope this is an aberration for him and not his usual personality, or I will be done with the series before I really start it.
Ivy and Jack were Ivy and Jack. I love the way they fight. I love the way he tries to protect her and control her but she pushes right back and shows she is a strong woman who won't be controlled.
The reader's voice for Brian made me fast forward and/or plug my ears for every scene he was in.
I hope that reader isn't going to do more of this author's books, because I won't be listening, and I love my audible books.
This book was a crossover with both Icy Morgan and Harper Harlow. Harper and Jared go on vacation up North with Xander and Shane. Once they arrive, they discover its the season of model hunting and many people are hunting these morels. They decide to try it out and come upon Ivy Morgan and Jack kissing in the woods. While exploring the woods, Zander discovers a dead body of a young woman. From there the investigation begins. Jared helps Jack with finding the culprit. While Jack and Jared investigate the murder, Ivy and Harper begin to bond as they have several things in common. They each are alike but different in their own special way. While I loved seeing the bond between the two blossoming. I loved how they interacted and found out about each other. The story centred on both couples. I hope the next books from Ivy and Harper mention this experience and they have many more crossovers in the future. I am looking forward to reading more crossovers. Highly recommended.
As the ladies meet for the first time and find in each other that longed for acceptance, understanding and female friendship a body turns up.
Out hunting for the elusive morels Jack hates so much, he and Ivy bump into Harper and Jared. Harper's on a wine trip with her company co-founder Zander and their respective partners. As the two couples chat, Zander, who's really not embracing the whole woodland experience, screams as he and Shawn stumble upon a body.
Jack is straight into cop mode as is Jared and the two begin their own bromance over the case.
The body is Tabitha, a good time party girl who isn't exactly a law abiding citizen; preferring to spend her free time drunk and stoned with anyone who will provide the joints for free.
With both Ivy's and Harper's abilities to help them it should be an easy case to solve but it's not without its challenges as the strong willed pair decide to carry out their own investigation.
Crossovers are one of my favorite things ever! Harper, Jared, Zander and Shawn are all headed up north for a wine tasted weekend.. When they arrive they they decide to go hunting for Morel mushrooms as I guess its the season for them in Michigan.. There they meet Ivy and Jack, Zander end up finding a body in the woods. Ivy and Harper are two peas in a pod, have such a good connection that Jack and Jared both wonder if they might run off together (just as friends) since neither one has other girl friends around them. We learn about Ivy and her different abilities along with the fact that she has also seen a ghost. and may be able to see them without harpers help.. This was a really good mystery and I did not see the outcome coming.. I really liked Ivy and Harper together, and I hope we get more of them in the future..
Love the crossover just wish it was longer. That is the case with most of these books though. I love the way these friendships began. I think the crossover was well done. Ivy and Harper are up to their same old tricks of finding trouble even when they don't mean to. Zander is his dramatic self, leaving Shawn to do his thing and handle him. And last but not least Jack and Jared . Two alpha males who we can't get enough of. The mystery itself was a little light. But recommend and still really enjoyed the interplay between characters.
This one seems a bit short. That may be because I've yet to read Ivy Morgan books and wanted more. Have all ready gotten first three downloaded to read from Amazon. Loved the female friend connection which is missing from a lot of this Author books and her others under her other name (except for her Midwest witches books which has a for of women as main personalities).
Once again I was reminded why I love her books though and read two of hers in one day. Was nice to have the time to binge.
A fun crossover! I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I really enjoyed it. It was interesting to see the similarities and differences between Ivy and Harper, particularly because one is a bit more open about her supernatural "differences" than the the other. It was also nice to see some female friendship for both of them. Jack and Jared also had a fun dynamic, although I will admit I sometimes found myself getting the two confused because the names are similar. As always, Zander and Shaun provided a nice additional layer of humor. The mystery was engaging and I was shocked by the killer!
I loved the similarities between all the characters in this crossover. This mystery had so much to offer that I just couldn't put it down for any length of time. Zander was his usual diva self and as always he was hilarious. He is by far my favorite character. This was a fascinating mystery with tons of action. Hope there will be more crossovers between the 2 series. Highly recommend both of these series.
Awesome add to both series. This is everything you'd want it to be, these two groups of people fit together perfectly and it felt like a natural way to meet and feel each other out. I didn't want it to end and I want Harper and Ivy to live next to each other for sure. I hope there are more books like this because it flowed really well and the side characters like Zander, Shawn and Max was the best choice. Can't wait for the next.
What could be better than a Harper Harlow or Ivy Morgan mystery? One with both of them! From them moment I’d seen the pre-sale I’d been looking forward to this book, and it didn’t disappoint. The characters meshed together well, and I look forward to them having future adventures together.
Head over heels for "Wicked Ghosts" I couldn't put the book down, Great mystery, fun cast of characters, and a little romance thrown in. Several Laugh out loud moments and I found myself smiling a lot throughout the book. I hope we'll see more Harper Harlow and Ivy Morgan mystery books in the future! 5 stars!!
hands down the best of the best crossovers I've ever read, seriously awesome.
Harper and Ivy were beyond adorable Jack and Jared were a bromance made in heaven and Max Zander and Shawn were hilarious.
I loved the mystery, Ivy and Harper bringing out more in each other was just fantastic wicked ghosts made for a great crossover it was a highly entertaining read.
OMG. Lily Harper Hart created a hilarious masterpiece with this one! She took the lead characters from 2 of my fav series and put them all together for one of the the best reads I've had in a long time! I can't count the many times I snorted & snickered much less how many times I just outright laughed. BRILLIANT! And I want MORE PLEASE!!!
This was a great afternoon read and it was also fun. I always end one of Ms. Hart's books with a smile on my face and all my stress disappeared for awhile. He only tiny issue I had with this book was Jared and Jack. Since their names both start with a J I kept getting them confused. Otherwise I loved seeing the two series of books combine into one.
Great idea having our Ghost Hunter and our little Witch meet, perfect BFF match and bromance. Lily Harper Hart is what I call my relief reads, her books are always snarky and fun. I like reading her books when it's raining out or I'm in a sad mood. Keep writing and I will keep reading.
Love this cross over, hope they do another with these two. Maybe they can go on a trip together! I happy they have a new friend and maybe Max can also find a new friend as well though I thought him and that girls brother where going to hang out after all their both into the lumber business and have same personality then Ivey can see the girl more often.
When Ivy meets Harper, a woman that can see and talk to ghosts, she has no idea the trouble they’re going to get into. Finding a dead body, talking to her ghost. Can Jack and Jared save them from more trouble? Loved meeting Harper and Jared. Super read! Enjoy!!!
I completely enjoy the Ivy Morgan series, so I am surprised that adding Harper and Jared makes me realize how childishly wilful Ivy can be! That aside, this crossover is a good read; besides offering an introduction to a new series the mystery is well-plotted with an unexpected reveal.
This is a really good book by a very talented writer. The storyline kept me on my toes. I can't wait for the next book about Ivy's and Harper's adventures by my number one favorite author. Ms. Hart is a very good and original storyteller! You won't be disappointed at all.
I love both Ivy and Harper and was thrilled to read them both together. The murder mystery was good as always and I loved how the two couples interacted.
I love both of these series and to have them together was wonderful! Ivy and Harper really need more girl time. And I have to say I will never be able to look at a mushroom again without thinking it tastes like feet, lol.
That was awesome, now Jack and Ivy with Jared and Harper need to go on a cruise with Rowan and Quinn 😄 Maybe later somehow the six of them can get together with Maddie and Nick. Just dreaming here💜
