Deadlands: The Weird West, Pinnacle's award-winning game of supernatural horror in the Old West continues to roll along. In 2000, new products allow players to take on the role of operatives for the Agency, wrestle with the curses of lycanthropy and vampirism, and learn the secrets of the latest developments in the New Science.Ronan's next adventure finds him in the town of Varney Flats just as the ominous Night Train rolls into town. It even includes a bonus scenario for our Weird Western miniatures battle game: Deadlands: The Great Rail Wars.
Not too impressed with this volume of the series. It feels a bit too campy for me. I realise this series of books is written in the spirit of pulp, but the plot is a bit too ridiculous even for that genre. the scenario is also very railroady, not helped by the fact that half of it takes place on an actual railroad.
