I figured out what was happening about 2/3 of this short story. Still, I loved it. Succinct and well written.
SYNOPSIS: "She didn't think of herself as the type to stalk her own boyfriend, but when her mother convinced her he was up to no good, she followed him to L.A.."
I never used to read short stories, till the late Marina Keegan made me realize that I was missing out on some really good reading.
Never saw the ending coming, Browne can right a really good story, doesn't matter the length and he'll have your undivided attention. Expect the unexpected, it's not the cookie cutter stories that so many authors write.
