Had many of the books for this game back when they came out; re-reading them as PDFs now. Skipping most/all of the “system/rules” material this time around: I’m here for the “fluff,” the history and the ideas that have made this world stick in my mind for so long. And having completed the read through of this first rule book, I can gladly say that it still lives up to my memory of it. It’s cooler, in fact! Nice 90s first person “edgy” writing style, pages made to look like what was then a “current” web site, and an excellent and unique approach to and alternate-history-dystopian-present superheroics. This would make a heck of a streaming series, just saying! On to the other game books, and then the three prose books! (As for the system, though, it is worth noting that this was published by Pinnacle, Shane Hensley is in the credits, and the system does bear more than a little resemblance to a proto-Savage-Worlds design, which is really neat to go back and visit)
