Eugene Peterson writes "...artists and their works of art keep taking us inside what we see and touch, taste, hear -- enter the mystery. And that worship is supreme art." Kyle White is one of those artists and Winter is Scissors is one of those works of art. If you want to sojourn inside Winter and touch, taste, and hear Winter, this book is the warm, funny, compassionate, poetic companion for your journey.
I loved this little book of winter meditations and devotionals. There are 31 entries so it was perfect for the cold, gray month of January, and I plan to read it again next year. Each entry is between a paragraph and three pages in length so it was easy to devote a few minutes each morning to reading one before I even had my coffee. Kyle White’s writing is funny, thoughtful, and touching - this book would be of particular interest to readers living in the upper Midwest. Disclosure: Kyle is a friend of mine, but I purchased my own copy of the book.
