A wonderful little devotional. The author does an excellent job of providing context and background for the biblical readings, helping us to understand the meaning behind the words and the people mentioned.
Beautiful book. I love the design. I love the one-page approach to each day. I love the daily ideas for family activities. I love the size and colors and layout. Well written, too. Uses ESV, NLT, and TLB, and it's not really a practice that our family does (nightly readings for Advent), so it's not really a book for us, but a nice book I could regift. I usually rank books with 4* if it's a book I'd keep and use, so the 3* rating is just my personal rating, not necessarily a reflection of the book itself.
This devotional was written with a Christian heart that has perceivable Christly love. as we read through the days we were enriched by thoughtful historic references of why we do certain things in this religious and cultural holiday, and challenged to explore our faith through daily reflection. I wholeheartedly recommend this devotional!
This was a good Christmas devotional but nothing awe inspiring. I thought it was pretty and overall I'm happy I read it to remind myself of the true meaning of Christmas.
The devotions were good, though the repetition of verses was confusing to my kids. I have teenagers, and I felt like the devotions were fitting for them, but the activities often felt childish.
What a great family devotional for the month of December. It was both inspiring and challenging. I loved the author took a deeper dive into the Christmas story and drew practical lessons for our lives today.
I reread this devotional this year (2026) and have to say it is one of the best devotionals I’ve ever read to prepare our hearts for Christmas whether as an individual or as a family. And I love that each day ends with a prayer and an optional activity.
