Cynthia Cavanaugh knows what it's like to walk through painful seasons, church hurt, and relationship struggles. Her story of brokenness has propelled her to write, speak, and help others heal through the pages of God's Word. When the storms hit, God's truth is what anchors her in adversity.
She is the award-winning author of several books, a speaker and leadership influencer. She hold her MA in Leadership from Trinity Western University and is the Community/Spiritual Formation Director at her church. Cynthia is also a certified Life Coach and the host of the podcast, The Soul Anchor. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and loves scavenging the beach for sea glass with the grands. She is a connoisseur of fine black tea and dark chocolate.

Cynthia's book, Anchored: Leading Through the Storms begins chapter one with a damning confession.
One which is bound to make every pastor's wife squirm. And if we're honest, I'll bet it hits home way too close for way too many of us.
The next chapters she dives into biblical truths as she helps us to unravel the good Christian woman's unraveling. Opening the Word and showing us Christ's tenderness and gentleness throughout scripture.
I came away encouraged. I am not alone. And God sees me.
But most of all, Christ has said: It is finished.
Each and every struggle, all those doubts I kept burried deep within because no one could ever understand? Washed away. I am anchored. I can lead. Even through the storm.
This book is a great resource for women in ministry in any capacity. If you think you've got a burden you cannot possibly share with anyone in your church as it would compromise your testimony or the work of your spouse, then this book is most certainly for you.
But even if you don't have these types of challenges, this book will open your eyes to women in your congretation and sphere of influence who do struggle with hidden fears.

Cynthia Cavanaugh’s latest book ANCHORED, will be at my beside for a long time. Cynthia writes with soul level honesty and authenticity as she weaves her personal stories with Biblical truths. Her book is chock full of wisdom, practical tools for leadership, and sound Biblical research. As a leader, how do we continue to lead when we are in the midst of ugly storms? I’ve highlighted many sections including: “The choices we make ahead of time determine the choices we will make during the storm.” Cynthia is a dynamic leader, and her words ring true because she has lived them. I highly recommend this book for leadership workshops, or for personal growth. Well done Cynthia!

Very encouraging read! Cynthia shares openly and authentically about leading through her own personal storm. Biblically solid. As a leader, you will glean much wisdom from this book! Highly recommend!
