Tales from the heart of Duckburg and beyond! This volume collects stories inspired by the critically acclaimed Disney Channel series, as Scrooge and company face off against brand new threats, and a few familiar ones too!
In these adventures inspired by the hit series, Scrooge and company deal with magical relics, dastardly ghosts, and one of Scrooge's greatest a risk assessor from an insurance company! Plus, see the return of classic villains The Beagle Boys!
This volume features six new tales from writers Joe Caramagna and Joey Cavalieri, and collects issues #6-8 of the ongoing series.
Freelance writer and letterer Joe Caramagna is also a graduate of the JOE KUBERT SCHOOL OF CARTOON AND GRAPHIC ART.
Currently, Joe letters many monthly Marvel Comics such as AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, CAPTAIN AMERICA, INVINCIBLE IRON MAN, UNCANNY X-MEN, and DAREDEVIL, and is the inker of "CONSUMED" by Platinum Studios and "7 DAYS TO FAME" by After Hours Press.
Joe's written work includes IRON MAN & THE ARMOR WARS, TAILS OF THE PET AVENGERS, many MARVEL ADVENTURES titles, X-MEN: NATION X and the SUPERMAN and BATMAN 2011 80-PAGE GIANTS.
This has nothing to do with the stories per se, but rather the printing and distribution of them. The print is so tiny in these books that my 32-year-young LASIKed eyes are struggling to read it. Come on, Disney. Spend the couple extra dollars to make your pages big enough for legible printing.
Adventures and mythical creatures abound in this third volume of Ducktales. I think these are fun, especially for kids, but nothing I feel committed to following through with. I like these short stories, but they are not my pace. That being said, I really enjoy watching the show. It's really hard to capture that in these graphic novels, but a great read for kids.
Cute little series. Not as good as the actual TV series, as this has much more of a lean towards kids. (In comparison, the show has some great humor and mystery that makes it just as enjoyable to adults.) However, if you're wanting some more fun with the Duck family, this will still scratch that itch.
I LOVE DUCKTALES! It is the best show ever, and reading the comics is just like watching an episode! I adore the artwork, and the spin-off stories are incredible.
