After finishing The Wright Love, I couldn’t get my hands on The Wright One fast enough! Thankfully, the wait wasn’t long. Things with Sutton and David were going great, but at the end of the book, they exploded a bit. I couldn’t wait to see how it would get worked out.
The beginning of this book focused on explaining the bomb that was dropped at the end of the first book. The secrets were exposed and Sutton and David were left with the aftermath, wondering if their relationship could be salvaged.
David is a character that I loved learning more about. It was great to get his story in this book. Sutton aggravated me at times when she flipped and was so indecisive, but I tried to put myself in her shoes and it made her more tolerable. By the end of the book, I loved them both! These two belonged together and were both deserving of a love like this!
This story was frustrating, angsty, sexy, and showed the true power of love. Sometimes love comes where you least expect it. Even if you think you’ll never find it again, it can come. I thought this duet was very well written, had just enough twists and turns to keep me fully invested, and I loved the romance. I love these Wright books and hope we get more in the future!

We finally have the conclusion to David and Sutton's story, and it has all the feels!The Wright One was one of my most anticipated books, I needed to know what will happen after the ending of the first book!I was anxious and nervous to see how things will work for Sutton and David!
They frustrate me a lot, especially Sutton but in a good way!David is the perfect man for Sutton, he wanted her and he would do anything to get her back!I love their romance a lot, it has everything I craved and even more!
Overall, it was an amazing duet I enjoyed reading!I'm looking forward to read more books from K.A. Linde!

This is the second and final book in Sutton and David's story and I was anxiously waiting it's arrival since the 'holy shit' ending in the previous book. While I did enjoy reading more about them and I absolutely loved that ending, I don't know if we necessarily needed this book to have their HEA? I feel like it could've happened in one book.
Aside from that this was a cute read. I'm thinking that there's going to be more books in the Wright series and I'm so excited!

Absorbing, passionate, and angsty!
The Wright One is a heartwarming tale that picks up right where The Wright Love left off, taking us back to Lubbock, Texas where secrets have been unearthed, relationships strained, and forgiveness, grief, and family are still huge hurdles for David and Sutton to face.
The writing is smooth and emotive. The characters are patient, hesitant, committed, and determined. And the plot is an alluring mix of understanding, frustration, compassion, attraction, parenthood, friendship, familial drama, and unconditional love.
The Wright Love is the final novel in the Wright series (hopefully just for now), and I have to admit it's a little bittersweet to say goodbye to the characters we've come to love over these last six novels by Linde. Nevertheless, this is still a delightful, beautiful chance to have one last catch up with the whole gregarious Wright gang and to finally see Sutton and David get the happy-ever-after ending we've been hoping for them from the very start.

Linde pulls no punches when it comes to the emotional impact this will have on your mind, body, and soul. After completely devouring the first book, I was left with my heart shattered in my hands. With book two, the author took my shattered heart, mended it back together, piece by piece, and filled it with so much damn love for this story, this family, and these characters. The Wright family has definitely stolen a piece of my heart. I love this series, these amazing characters, and the impeccable writing of this mega talented author. If you are looking for a romance that will completely steal your heart, look no further. K.A. Linde gives her fans exactly what they want…and then some.

And it all comes to an end...
I've really enjoyed getting to know The Wright over the past year. This duet in particular was one of my most anticipated reads of the year! Sutton and David were so meant to be!
Here's what I loved:
David. I could literally go on and on about how perfect he is and how much I want to want to have his babies, but inevitably someone will point out that he's a fictional character and rain on my parade! LOL That doesn't change the fact that he's EVERYTHING. Sweet, sexy, wealthy, patient, giving. See? I can go on and on. Gah! I loved HIM!
I loved the setup. After the cliffy in book one, I COULD NOT WAIT to see how this story would play out. Things didn't go exactly as I expected, but overall I'm pleased with the resolution. I'm also shipping a couple characters really hard, so I'm hoping to revisit some of these characters really soon.
I love the family dynamic. As always, family really shines through. But the way David interacts with Sutton's son is beautiful.
I did have some concerns about Sutton's character. She not only gave David whiplash, but me as well. I totally get where she is in life, but the back and forth got to me. And I had a minor concern with the way the story played out. It focused so much on David and his secret that it felt like the Wrights got lost in the mix. I wanted more of them. To see their stories tied off at the end of the finale.
Overall, it was quite enjoyable and I'm happy to see the series end with the promise of more. Yes...I'm hanging onto hope that the cousins have a spinoff. LOL

The Wright One is the much awaited conclusion to David and Sutton’s emotional whirlwind of a romance. While I didn’t get as much feels in this one as compared to The Wright Love, I was still over the moon to see these two grow, struggle, and overcome their hurdles together—especially with that sweet, heart-melting ending.
As I was hoping, we did get to know so much more about David Calloway in this book. Little by little, we got to see who he really was, and I truly enjoyed peeling off his layers and witnessing him unravel. I was able to appreciate him and all that he’s done for Sutton and her two-year old son, Jason, since day one even more. At the same time, we also saw Sutton Wright grieve more for everything that she’s lost. We watched her come to terms with her new reality, and face her own fears and insecurities.
Even though there weren’t a lot of them, the steamy scenes in the beginning were a little more steamier—think make-up sex. But the constant push and pull in the relationship, the indecision and uncertainties in both Sutton and David, broke my brain and my emotion meter. I knew where they were coming from, given their pasts and what they’ve gone through. But the I’m-ready-wait-I’m-actually-not situation went back and forth so much and so abruptly that I think even I got whiplash—it was like watching an intense tennis match. I specifically got crazy frustrated with Sutton on so many levels here. I felt for her, especially since she never really was able to grieve her late husband properly and let it fully sink in, but I felt for David even more after this one.
I also did love the fact that the author showed us in this book that there’s always the possibility of a change of heart. That we can never lose hope, especially when it comes to family. It was definitely a nice touch and highlight that tugged at my heartstrings.
In the end, the resolution was... okay. The second half to David and Sutton’s story wasn’t exactly how I envisioned all this to go down, but I’m happy that they’ve found their way back to each other, no matter how rocky the journey was. That they were able to find themselves again as individuals and eventually, were able to welcome the love and happiness that they both truly deserve together.

After Sutton and David’s worlds, once again, imploded – hers, due to David’s secrets and half-truths, and his, due to his inability to discuss his past and reveal what family he was part of when he took the position at Wright, both of them are left reeling, attempting to pick up the pieces of their broken hearts and their shattered souls. And while David is willing to fight for Sutton, explain why he didn’t share his past with her, and prove to her that he’s all in with her, Sutton too stunned and hurt to listen and David’s betrayal is not something she’s willing to overlook, at least not initially and quite possibly never.
Based on their respective pasts, I understand why both Sutton and David feel like they lost everything again, and even though what they lost before is due to different circumstances, it doesn’t mean that one of them has suffered more than the other one; it just means that moving on is not as easy for Sutton as it is for David, and it’s because of Sutton’s inability to reconcile her feelings for David with what she felt/still feels for Maverick that she’s constantly second guess everything and what makes everything worse is the fact that people who are close to Sutton offer her unsolicited advice, resulting in her head being a jumbled mess and her heart being shredded more so than she ever thought it could be.
I wholeheartedly understand why Sutton is so hot and cold with David; she’s scared out of her mind, and K.A. Linde does a fantastic job of illustrating just how tormented Sutton is with the thought of moving on from Maverick and forging a new life with David. It’s not an easy decision to make, especially because there’s a 2 year old little boy who will be impacted as well. Sutton’s resilience is admirable and her willingness to risk it all again, despite her second guessing everything, show how strong of a woman she is and how much she wants to let love back into her life. But because Sutton has not fully processed her grief and not fully accepted what she feels for David, it’s an uphill battle for them, which is frustrating and heartbreaking to witness because it’s beyond clear just how much David brings to Sutton’s life and just how much they care for one another despite all of their baggage.
I also get why David hid the truth of his parentage from Sutton and all of the Wright siblings. His last name implicated him even though he was not a part of his parents’ scandalous acts, and what he went through during that time and the decisions he made eight years ago proves how much David had to weather and it also shows the kind of man he is despite the fact that he kept who he was from the people who considered him family.
Once I learned all of the information about David, I truly couldn’t find fault in his actions…don’t get me wrong lying or omitting information is wrong and it can destroy relationships, but I guess I saw who David was by his actions more so than the information he didn’t give, so I could easily accept his explanation and move forward, but I’m a bystander in this situation, so being in the heart of it definitely changes things, I just think I would have given him the opportunity to explain based on who David has shown himself to be in the time that he’s been in Lubbock, Texas. What I found so endearing is the fact that David never once tries to replace Maverick in either Sutton’s or Jason’s heart and that speaks volumes about the type of man that David is.
Who’s to say when someone moves too fast or rushes a reconciliation? It’s easy for those people on the outside to share their opinion but that doesn’t mean it’s the right one…it doesn’t mean that Sutton and David have to follow the path that others seem to want them to, because if they did, who knows what would have or wouldn’t have happened between them, which means that not only would Sutton and David lose an opportunity to find love again, but the Wright family would lose a key employee and Jason would lose the chance of having a father figure on Earth who loves him as much as his father in heaven does and who would want to miss out on that kind of love and devotion?
The Wright Love duet illustrates the power of love as well as the idea that everyone deserves a second chance despite the hurt and heartbreak they may have caused. Life’s a bumpy journey, but to truly experience it, things are going to be difficult…there are going to be obstacles to overcome and fears to try to push away, but in the end, feeling all of the ups and downs and highs and lows of life means that life is truly being lived instead of life moving forward and someone merely existing in it.

With the revelation that David was the son of the people who tried to ruin the Wrights really did a number on Sutton. But that was just the beginning of the issues Sutton had. We discover quickly that Sutton still isn't over Maverick's death or even the death of her parents. She had a lot to work through and unfortunately, David was the one that bore the brunt of Sutton's demons.
David's patience was almost another character in the book. But it became very clear that David, at some point was going to need to start thinking about himself despite what his feelings were for Sutton.
While I enjoyed the conclusion to this story, I'm not sure the second book was needed. It felt like Sutton dragged David along with her emotional breakdowns, rather than the two of them really resolving anything or moving forward until almost the very end.
I've truly enjoyed reading the Wright family and I'm going to miss them. K. A. Linde has given us some truly wonderful characters.

Like I said in my review of Part 1, this could’ve easily been just one book. I liked the first part better, the second one was very repetitive and Sutton was extremely frustrating. David was a very patient man, and Sutton was infuriating. The dead spouse trope is so not for me, and in this case, I had a hard time buying into Sutton’s love for Davis when she was still clearly hung up on Maverick. But then the ending, um yeah, what was the need for that? This was definitely underwhelming and plain annoying.

The conclusion to David & Sutton's story was absolutely flawless. I loved the first book but it was nothing compared to this one.
This book picked up right where we had been left off in The Wright Love. While Sutton started closing off her heart again, her sister and her best friends made her see that she at least needed to hear David out. He has always been there for her, he wouldn't hurt her purposely and she had to know that.
This book was a lot more David's book, we got to learn all about his past and shitty family and we got to see a bit of it too. And I loved it. I loved meeting his NY family and friends and being introduced to what will be the next series, which you could say is a spin-off of this one. And I am super excited for it, even though it's far off.
Sutton still struggles with losing Maverick but she also knows that she loves David and she doesn't want to lose him too. I loved watching her be there for him and finding the strength to work things out between them and also fighting for their relationship. We get to see a whole new side of Sutton, her mama-bear that will do anything for the people she loves. Although, she will still manage to frustrate you a little with her fear ridden back-and-forth but she makes up for it in the end.
It's safe to say I loved this book and the conclusion to these 3 sweeties. I love the Wright family and there is no such thing as too many books in a series, so for me, you should keep on writing them K. A. Linde!
One thing is for sure this duet could have been just one book, it really could have, but then there would be no cliffy and the experience just wouldn't be the same, so I'm thankful it was a duet. And you will be too if you give it a chance. And you really should.

Words will simply not be enough for this review, so for all intents and purposes, it will be short and to the point.
There are not enough ways to say how much this book got me. How it destroyed me. And especially how it brought me back whole. It was full of hope, dreams and romance that you just can't deny it. Sutton's story was one that i was really looking forward to and this author did an amazing job at giving this woman everything that she deserves after all the pain and the heartache that she's been through. There's a reason why this story needed two books to be told - love isn't without its battles or obstacles and The Wright One had it all... i can't wait to see what this author will do from this point on.

Man, oh man, I couldn’t wait to dive into The Wright One! After that epic ending to The Wright Love, I had to see what would happen with Sutton and David. Had to see what happened after the truth came out. Had to know that they were going to work things through.
Sutton and David are perfect for each other—they’re so very Wright. And I’m so happy with how this duet shared and told their story. Both are battling their own demons and guilt over things they had no control over—and they do this better together! Prepare for some seriously swoony moments!
I love this Wright family. Love how they’re so supportive of each other—even when they’re being total pains in the rear end. Love how they just want each other to be happy, to be loved.

The family is more than al-WRIGHT….
I love the Wright family, siblings who stick together – defend, support, love and torture each other the way brothers and sisters can only do.
Sutton had suffered a devastating loss but David was helping her to believe a happy future was possible. Until… that cliffhanger at the end of the first part of their story! That jaw-dropping, what the he** just happened cliffie that left me wondering if there was any way they could get it all back… Secrets and fears, all the things they worried about are going to come to a head, and one way or the other, they are going to figure things out.
And what a ping pong match it was. There was a LOT of anger but getting things out in the open meant a lot of healing as well. I wanted these two to figure things out. They really did seem so right for each other even as the hits kept coming and the uncertainty of their future seemed even more in jeopardy.
This author knows how to squeeze my heart without breaking it while making every painful jab a joy. A magician!

This is a hard review to write. I adore K.A. Linde's writing. I don't think I have ever given one of her books below 4 stars before, but The Wright One left me feeling unsatisfied.
I enjoyed Sutton and David, and I enjoyed when they were together, often alone. The chemistry between them is good, but I never felt immersed in their love. I was told things, I didn't feel things.
When it comes to the plot, I didn't feel like there was enough "meat" to this story, and the back and forth was too much for me in the end. Plus, there are many moments in their journey when I was outraged by certain acts of secondary characters and the effect they seemed to have on Sutton and David. I wanted them to be stronger by that point in the book.
Part of the reason I feel unsettled by this series is because, and I will admit it honestly, of my expectations. Maybe they were too high. I honestly thought the focus was going to be on Sutton and her grieving process, but it wasn't. I thought book two was going to focus on the revelation that blew apart their world at the end of book one, but that is resolved fairly quickly. I thought the end would have all the Wrights since it was the series finale. But at the end, I just felt okay.
K.A. Linde is still one of my favorite writers, and this duet, I am going to say is a fluke for me. Whether it is the story or my expectations, it just didn't work for this reader, but I will certainly continue to read her books, especially the spin off with the secondary character in this series. I was desperately hoping we would see him again, and K.A. Linde has answered my prayers.

In The Wright Love we left off with a shocking cliffhanger, that picks ups in the second book as we get to find out what happens next after Sutton finds out about David’s past. It’s evident at the very beginning that Sutton is still struggling after the death of her husband and after opening up to David, she never expected to get hurt again. Now the story focuses on Sutton making the right decision of whether she wants to give David another chance or not. Meanwhile, ever since David revealed his past to the Wrights everything has changed for him. He wants to win Sutton back and to do that he has to put his heart on the line. Without revealing too much, we get to see the characters grow in the book and they start to understand each other better. Sutton finally gets to see David’s world, but she still feels that she can’t fully move on and that’s when we get a whole rollercoaster of emotions. It was a bit frustrating seeing her going back and forth, and not being able to decide what she wanted.
On the other hand, I really loved David and was totally rooting for him until the very end. He is such a great character and totally lovable. He had a rough past just like Sutton, but he is willing to do anything to win her back. He has a great relationship with the rest of the Wrights and it was nice seeing all of them again. There were a few issues that felt unresolved to me that could have made the book that much better. All in all, the ending was sweet and it fit their story so well. I would highly recommend reading this story and the rest of the Wright series. You will not regret it! :)

If you read my review of The Wright Love you know I didn't really connect with these characters, but I went ahead and grabbed the The Wright One with hopes of a different result. (I think that might actually be the definition of insanity.)
I still didn't really the connection between these two. I felt sexual compatibly. I felt that Sutton was just... vapid. Every single time she talked about losing her friends from her college sorority, I just rolled my eyes and wanted to tell her, welcome to the real world. There is a huge difference between real friends and good time friends. Get. Over. It.
I like David, I think he's a sweet guy, but I don't know that I ever felt this love connection he had for Sutton, I just didn't connect to these two like I wish I had. There was much more drama this half of the book, honestly. I think that had this been one book and not split in two it would have been a much more powerful story line.
Although the majority of the book was not for me, I loved the ending of it. I may not have felt it, but I still enjoyed the end of the book and the epilogue had me smiling and left me feeling good.

The Wright One is the much highly anticipated conclusion to Sutton and David’s story, which picks up from where The Wright Love ended. The series highlights how secrets have an uncanny way of being revealed at the most inappropriate time. For David Calloway, the revelation of his secret came at a time when his fragile relationship with Sutton had blossomed. It is said trust once lost cannot be regained. Can David convince Sutton that he meant her no harm when he failed to disclose his secret? Will he be able to regain her trust?
This installment explores David’s past, providing insight into what shaped him into the person he is today. We learn the reason he felt he had to hide his past and to be honest I could not fault him for doing so. However, what I blamed him for was his failure to disclose the truth to Sutton after their relationship developed beyond mere friendship. I liked that he tried to make amends, and he owned up to his mistakes.
Coming to terms with his past was difficult, but he did and in the process healed the rift that materialised after the revelation of his secret. It also helped to heal his relationship with his family.
I could relate to Sutton’s feeling of betrayal at David’s actions and for a while, she doubted her decision to start another relationship. Then to add fuel to the fire, there were one or two persons who tried to make her feel guilty about her decision. What got to me was her willingness to allow these persons’ negativity to jeopardise her chance at happiness. I found her indecisiveness in this matter frustrating.
The Wright One is a well-written story that demonstrates the power of love. Love has the power to heal as David and Sutton would discover. I enjoyed following them on their journey of healing, forgiveness and acceptance.

The Wright One was a sexy and emotional conclusion to the Wright Love Duet, and I really enjoyed it. The storyline and characters were wonderful, and I once again loved K.A. Linde's writing style.
The plot for The Wright One was different than I expected, and it was honestly a little disappointing at times. I felt like parts of the story were a bit rushed, and there was a lot more conflict, as well as up and down moments, than I expected. It was still a good story and I was satisfied with the ending, but I was just hoping for more.
David and Sutton were once again wonderful. They were very likable, lovable, and relatable characters, and I enjoyed their personalities and chemistry together. I loved reading the book from both David and Sutton's POV, and most of their banter and interactions with each other. There were plenty of conflicting and heartbreaking moments between David and Sutton that made me either emotional or frustrated, but luckily everything ended better than I expected.
The Wright One was a good conclusion to the Wright Love Duet, and I thought K.A. Linde did a great job with this book and the entire Wright series and Wright Love Duet. This book picks up explaining the huge and shocking cliffhanger in The Wright Love. David's past is brought to light and he is exposed in ways he never intended. It causes a huge shift in the new life he just started to finally feel settled in.
Sutton hasn't really come full circle with the death of her husband over a year ago, so David's identity throws her back a bit, causing her to rethink everything and close herself to him completely.
While this book frustrated me with the back and forth a bit, I love that neither Sutton nor David easily gave into anything. They both took the time to figure out exactly what needed to be done before making any more hasty decisions.
There was a lot of angst and drama thrown into this one - drama I had not expected, but loved. There were moments when I thought things were going to go down a certain path and was grateful that Linde took the story where she did. It showed their growth both individually and as a couple.

After the ending of The Wright Love, I couldn't get my hands on this book fast enough. The bomb that dropped left me wondering how all of the secrets would be put into play. David had a big secret, but I never expected that he did it to hurt the Wright family. This book is definitely more about David and what he went through with his family and coming to terms with that. I have to say his story was heartbreaking as well. There was still a lot of "will they - won't they", but I understand. Sutton lost a lot and really needd to be sure of moving on. It needed to be on her terms and when she was ready. That may seem selfish at times, but after what she went through she got a pass from me. Once again, the whole Wright family was a part of this book and I have to stick by me saying I wouldn't mind having these people as a family. They may be overprotective and have their own issues, but it's a family full of love. I'm very sad that this is the last book with this family. K.A. Linde made me love them all.

The Wright One by KA Linde is the second book and the conclusion to Sutton and David´s story. I strongly recommend to read the previous book, The Wright Love, first.
The Wright One picks up right where The Wright Love left off.
Sutton feels betrayed by David and makes him leave. David, while innocent, is devastated. He expects she accepts his apology and they can move on. But Sutton´s still griving her late husband, Maverick. She´s already through so much and it is heartwrenching to read what happens next. There´s so much heartbreak and pain, she gets hurt over and over.
While I reslly loved David´s character in the previous book, now he acts like a not so nice man. Yes, I get that both are hurt and insecure, but David acts like he owns the only truth. I can´t say he´s still one of my favorite characters.
But the writing is great and I could very easily connect with Sutton and the other sidekicks. I give 4 stars.

Sutton feels betrayed by David and makes him leave. David, while innocent, is devastated. He expects she accepts his apology and they can move on. But Sutton´s still griving her late husband, Maverick. She´s already through so much and it is heartwrenching to read what happens next. There´s so much heartbreak and pain, she gets hurt over and over.
While I reslly loved David´s character in the previous book, now he acts like a not so nice man. Yes, I get that both are hurt and insecure, but David acts like he owns the only truth. I can´t say he´s still one of my favorite characters.
But the writing is great and I could very easily connect with Sutton and the other sidekicks. I give 4 stars.

I honestly think that this duet could have been condensed into one, but I can't even complain about more Sutton and David content *shrugs*
My favorite part has got to the epilogue and while I do prefer the first book over this one, this one still came at you with the feels and I'm just so happy for my two sweet baby angels!

Sutton Wright is my hero. Her determination and strength were inspiring and David is seriously the best guy ever. They have a lot to overcome in this one. I loved this epic conclusion to The Wright Love Duet. It was pure angsty feely goodness!

This duology was delicious torture for me. I always had a soft spot for Mav, and his death broke me a little, but I still wanted Sutton to find happiness. Her struggle was realistic, but sometimes made me nuts. The ups and downs made both me and David nuts, but I am glad he hung in there, and was able to give Sutton the time and space she needed to come to terms with her loss. The ending was so wonderfully happy and full of too many fantastic things, that my face almost split from the huge smile I was wearing.
I am happy that all the Wrights have found their HEA, but I will miss this family.
