I feel like this had a good concept but needed better execution. The pacing felt especially off. My son enjoyed this one, especially trying to solve the “mystery”.

Geronimo Stilton and the phantom bandit is very inspiring author. The story is about Geronimo going for a stress free vacation to the Cracklefur castle but it was not a stress free vacation at all when Geronimo gets spooked by a fake cat phantom and figures who it was turns out it was Felix Bloomfur. He found that out because he dressed like a werewolf pumpkin and found him tripping over the pumpkin tent cord so he tested who knew where the cord was so it turned out to be Felix. I finished reading the book in one hour.

Another Geronimo Stilton book, another reworn plot? Surprisingly, this book doesn't rework one of the numerous other Geronimo books. It is Halloween-themed? Only in the last few pages of the book. Is it a suspenseful? A little bit.

Although, it would seem more like a book that would feature in the Creepella Von Cracklefur, not a bad addition to the Stilton-verse.

My name is Josephine. I am eight years old. I like this book because I like how it was so mysterious. It was supposed to be scary, but it was not scary for me. I like Geronimo because he solves problems even though he’s scared by facing his fears. I recommend this book.

A cute little Halloween story that’s perfect for juvs. Not too scary but scary enough for the kiddos. Perfect mix of Halloween story with all the rodent-puns Geronimo Stilton is known for.

Better than some of the other books, and the art gets better in the later books.
