4 short stories exploring the lives and roles of some different animal characters in and around a small garden. I especially enjoyed the fable-like direction of each tale, examining morals and the nature of... well, nature. I also liked the way Bailey intertwined each story, seeing different encounters from different points of view. I felt it was beautifully written, and the added illustrations from renowned artist Luke Spooner were a wonderful addition, too. A beautiful book.
