Wow

The characters faced so much in their growing up years. The subject of child abuse was so cleverly dealt with in this story. The effectiveness of explaining the release belief in Jesus can bring to a tormented soul was beautifully woven through out the story. A wonderful read with so much truth in it.

Against the Odds by David Arp and V. B. Tenery **** I Really Liked It
I read this book before; however, it was long enough ago that I had forgotten much of the details. It seemed mostly new and freshly exciting. The action-packed adventure, the international intrigue and great characters make this book a keeper and worth reading more than once.

Split by Lillian Duncan **** I Really Liked It
This great story is fast-paced and has so many twists and new developments that I could hardly put it down.

Downfall by V. B. Tenery **** I Really Liked It
This is a great book to read, even the second time around. I hadn't forgotten all that much since I first read this book but it is so well written that I could still feel the suspense and enjoy the experience.

The Visionary by Pamela S. Thibodeaux (I do not know how to rate this)
I started out really enjoying this book. Then a part of the story hit me like a ton of bricks and it was quite an emotional experience after that. I give the author credit for tackling such a confronting issue and attempting to construct a realistic story featuring it but... I am not convinced it was entirely realistic. I felt like there was more romanticism than realism; although, that is not necessarily a bad thing. After all, I do like happily ever after endings.
