Neither Ollie's event planning business and her redundant oil well were producing the goods at the moment and it appear that the bills are beginning to out weigh the money coming in. As there was not a lot that she could do about it at the moment, she decides to attend the Mysterious Malcolm's Magical Masquerade show in an attempt to take her mind off these depressing financial matters. It turned out to be an exciting enjoyable evening, full of wonderful illusions and magic tricks. That was of course, until someone turns up dead.

As the sheriff is away fishing and Deputy Dingsplat does not appear to have a clue, the murderer is likely to get away with it. But Ollie's conscience refuses to let it go, especially as her own husband John's murderer was never caught. She could not allow another murderer to walk free, but can the murderer allow Ollie to walk free either?

Another excellent mystery by NC Lewis; face paced, full of fun and laugh out loud moments and more twists than you can get spaghetti around a fork!

Another Episode with Ollie Stratford

Once again, our friend, Ollie, is up against the financial ropes--she received a land tax bill that may wipe her dreams off the plains of Texas hill country. To escape the pressure for just a couple of hours, she decides to attend a magic show where the magician's assistant dies. Ollie and a few of her friends determine that the only way to see justice prevail, is to solve the murder.
Oh, did I mention that not only is Bryce Reynolds out to have Ollie fired but Ollie makes another enemy that bans her from the site of the murder? Or, that in the course of "interviewing" suspects, Ollie is called a gold digger and told to keep her hands off another woman's man? And those are just a few surprises that I'm comfortable mentioning without having a spoiler alert sound off.
I honestly enjoyed this book. While all of the books in this series can stand alone, I think new readers might enjoy reading them in order for the depth of detail they might miss otherwise.

Ollie just seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

First Theadora tells Ollie There is going to be a high profile secret wedding and she needs to use Ollie's place for all the events. The Ollie sees Bryant and Lisa working on Lisa's tennis. How mean Bryant was to her, plying her with potions and Lisa telling him it was over and to stay out of her life...and things get crazier from there.

Read and enjoy!

The Truth about Magic.

5 gold stars plus 5thousand more. There's nothing wrong with this series that young adults and adults would like to read. N.C. Lewis has a great series with characters that you will fall in love with. Final Ollie and Millie are getting the breaks they deserved.

I liked the fact all her murder mystery’s are fast paced by a part time
amateur sleuth, part time college professor. Dr. Ollie is a female version of a Indiana Jones, Only she lives in Texas. Great mystery filled with small town life and people. If you like great mysteries that keep you guessing, then here they
are.

N.C. Lewis' most recent addition to the Ollie Stratford series does not disappoint. This light mystery if filled with a wide array of interesting, odd and and sometimes hysterical characters that give the book body. And with a story
line that will keep you guessing.

Liked this one more than the last as it ended on a happier note with fewer open issues. I just have to admit that Ollie has an unfortunate knack for being attracted to the wrong people.

This Mystery Series is a great one to read. Ollie is still missing her late husband and is trying to get the ranch out of debt. When she in front of the murderer things turns bad if she can't find a way out of this. N.C. Lewis has a back for writing this mystery series in a way that will put in in the small Texas Town.
