Keya, a beautiful and intelligent woman was the victim of domestic abuse at the hands of her criminal boyfriend, Locke. Wearing rose colored glasses, still believing he can change, Keya finds herself once again, tangled in Locke's sinister and sexual desires, that have now escalated. Having no real support and no way out will any one ever come to her rescue? Will someone save her or will she soon be able to save herself?
Whew! Keya was a tough one to endure & survive all that Locke put her through. There were times I worried about her sanity. Very emotional read giving insight on a domestic violence relationship. I believe Locke was one of the meanest, craziest characters I've read about. Good conclusion.
I was concerned how part two would turn out. Keya gave me vibes that she STILL wanted to stay. He got extra crazy with the sex and that sent her over. No therapy will help him. He too far gone.
This is one series that had me pissed to the max!! Locke was one sick dude. Keya ticked me off numerous of times, when you read this series you will know why. This author definitely did her thang. I highly recommend this series!!
Thankful of how this book turned out. Keya went through so much but actually it all worked out in the best for all parties. Karma is truly something else.
This book was a page turner from start to finish. Ashantay has woven a great story about abuse and rape that will stay with me forever. Locke although a mentally ill man has a lot of depth that can make any reader hate him and he's not even real. However I'm sure he's rule to a lot of women who don't have the courage to leave. Ashantay you had me on the edge girl!!!!!!!! 5 stars!!!!!!!
Locke and Keya 1&2 were very great books. I am not shaming the abused, but I feel that Keya brought some of this on herself. She had chances to leave, times when the police should of been involved..they weren’t, even her “addiction” influenced her not to leave. Not to mention, at the end she STILL needed closure. Sometimes the best closure is to move in and live ur best life.
Ok that was a good read I am so happy it ended the way it did. I truly don't like stories like this but I am glad I gave it a try. 5 stars all the way I am going to tell all my friends to read it. Locke really needed some help he was just crazy. And I understand why Keya did it the way she did. Love will make you do some crazy things
Very good book with a heavy dose of reality that allows the reader to see the point of view of a abused person. Keya was an very educated woman that couldn’t see to help herself. I’m glad she found someone that could help her through the trauma and help her live again.
Man this boy here was off the chain Locke was making me so mad I didn't want to finish the story... I couldn't stomach his ways!!! Definitely a page turner.
What I took from this : I don't what I was thinking, when Locke first got lock up I knew he would be serving time... So why did I stay because I knew my problem something about him that I love but hated him at same time. I love what he did and how he did to it my body, but hated the everyday abuse that he done to me physically and mentally. I thought Locke change he but didn't. Going to nail shop that day was good thing I ran into my ex Semaj. Yea I lied to Locke but he didn't have to pistol whip me. Glad I was able to get away and call Semaj. I finally gotta away, but I had to go back and get my things. What was I thinking go back without the police, when I already know how Locke is. Now I am back in the same situation stuck with crazy dude. I need to get away but I can't there no way because the doors are lock. Finally Semaj came with the police. They asked me did I wanna press charges I said yes, but it was hard because I hated him and love at the same time. Enjoyed reading.
Part 2 was even more brutal. I was pissed most of the book, while still rooting for Keya. An addiction is an addiction but at what cost. Locke was not a man and his mama won't bout s*** either. This book really bother me, because I'm sure this is a reality for some woman, and that sucks. Don't get me wrong the story is educational, and also challenging to read. At about 39% I almost completely closed the book. Yet again I needed to see Keya's fate. I need to see if her knight and shining armor would swoop through and everything she went through would go away. Her reality did start to seep in, but that one stopped brought abuse back full cirlce. The story definitely kept me on edge and I have hatred for Locke. In his mind everything he did was right, but oh how the tables turned.
Wow this female lead is strong as all get out! It truly takes a strong person to survive during something so brutal. I knew things were going to get worse. Lord, when he whipped her and pulled her down the steps my soul cried! I thank God that Semaj came and saved the day! I’m so thankful that he knew Keya enough to not let her suffer. Sabatoge surprised the heck outta me! Like man! That gas station scene made my heart jump out my chest but in the end Keya found her true strength and she’s a living testimony! Love does not hurt. At all! Locke used sex to victimize her and make her feel like he truly loved her. Love is so dangerous, that it’s blinding! I’m just so thankful that she got away and is able to live a normal and happy life!
Karma is real... I hope Locke gets what he deserves
I am so glad that this 2nd book took right of where book one left us. I loved this book and I was so happy that Locke ended up in prison. I hope he gets everything that he deserves. Keya on the other hand I didn't like her in book one because I couldn't understand how a woman with so much could end up with a Guy like Locke. But of course we know Keya has some underlined issues and she needs to get closer.
I felt so bad for Keya. I'm glad the Semaj came along. Locke was and is STILL a lunatic. I was convinced that he was going to kill somebody, I just wasn't sure of WHO! This story was crazy and once again, I thought about the fact that somewhere, somebody is living this life! I will not give details but I do suggest reading this series. You'll get mad at bother Keya AND Locke, but you'll be relieved at the end. I enjoyed the conclusion.
This was one emotional series. Very well written. The abuse that Keya experienced was heartbreaking. Semaj coming back i to Keya's life was the best thing that happened to her because she may not have survived that last round of abuse from Locke. Locke was a sick individual who saw no wrong in his actions but he definitely got what he deserved in the end.
Series was worth the read. Locke was a sick bastard that was crazy as hell. Keya was afraid to leave but she loved the sex? Crazy right...I was so happy that she hooked back up with Semaj and was finally free. The ending was great and shows that Karma is a bitch...I would read again
I'm glad Keya came to her senses & had Locke ass arrested as they say Karma is a bitch & Locke get exactly what he deserved nobody should be subjected to tht type of abuse but it happens each & everyday this is a book worth reading i felt so sorry for what Keya was going though Ashantay Keys this was a great real life series u did a excellent job writing this book
I still don't like Locke and probably NEVER will, but I am more than satisfied with the ending. I didn't understand why Keya stayed, but when I reread the book, it became more clear to me. Sometimes when you think your love is enough to change someone, you stick it out. I'm glad she came to her senses though...she became likeable throughout the book. Great read!
I Loved It Ashantay You Did It Boo! Keya had me mad at some points during this series 😏I wanted to smack her but I love ❤️ . Locke ...Bruh I was waiting for something to happen but Baby Sabotage and Sausage came in a clutch
Keya was really irking me through out the whole book. She surprised me when she finally pressed charges. Locke deserved what he got and MORE. I HATED HIM.
This was another great book. A real page turner. I read this book in a few hours, I had to know what happened to Keya. I would have loved for in the end she had a strong career, married sausage, and kids.
Ashantay you did the damn thing with this, it was great and without giving too much away I'm happy Locke got his karma and Keya got happiness. I just wished she could have found it sooner.
This was better than the first one but the story order could’ve been more I was looking for something more and I was confused she didn’t like giving head but she gave the other bum head with no problem
I didn't enjoy this book as much as I did the first one, and based on all the 5 star reviews, I'm in the minority. I don't have a problem with a lot of sex scenes, but GEESH, like 75% of the book revolved around how much sex they had and how abusive sexually he was.
This second book was very intense to say the least. Keya had been through hell and back being with Locke. I couldn't even imagine all the pain she went through. My heart definitely went out to Keya. Locke was just a sick bastard who needed to be locked up.
It took me a year to read this because I was so mad at the author lol after reading part one. Keya has to be the dumbest woman ever. How do you have a degree in psychology but stay with a man who beats you mentally and physically just because you're addicted to oral sex.
This book had a good story line and so much promise but there was something missing for me. The book did show that abuse is never ok. I applaud the author for that written lesson.
This last part of the series had me on edge. I try would like 2 know what happened in his life to be like that. I'm glad she made it out alive. This was my first time reading from this author and it wont be the last
