Teasing Daddy's Best Friend

Rate this book
Knox Grayson is crude, callous, and dangerously handsome. He’s also a billionaire, my father’s best friend and, business partner, and I should probably mention, he’s 20 years older than me.

Knox has always told me that I’m a good girl, so I should know better than to be such a tease to him – especially since he’s Daddy’s best friend, but after our accidental kiss on my 18th birthday, I can’t get him out of my head. I keep dreaming about our lives together - kissing, making love, and getting married.

I know my dreams will never come true, until my father hires me as Knox’s new assistant forcing us to work together, in more than one way.

Daddy will kill Knox if he finds out about our fling, so I have to hide it at all costs. It’s fun for now – and I plan to enjoy it while it lasts.

That might’ve worked until he knocks me up.

With threats from his jealous ex-wife hanging over my head and my desperation to hide this pregnancy from my father, I soon find that I am in way over my head.

But Knox is my addiction and I don’t think I could stop even if I tried.

-This book is full of forbidden lust, and drama. If you love your romances over the top then pick up this bad boy, and cozy up next to a fire for an evening of fun.-

An okay book

So this is not the first Daddy Best Friend book J.L Beck has written or I have read. But this one I just wasn't feeling. Although I will say, it was different for the guy to act immature instead of the 18-year-old.

I normally love anything this author writes, but not this story. Why? All because of Meghan. The story was good in the beginning & I didn’t have a problem with her for the majority of the book. It was towards the end when it all fell apart for me. **spoiler alert** sorry for the spoiler, but I don’t think I can explain my reasons for disliking Meghan without it. Her attitude when Knox told her their relationship was over was pathetic. I get that she’s in love with him & she’s only 18 so she thinks this is the end of her world, but to contemplate suicide while you’re pregnant?!? Wtf?! Selfish and pathetic! She even stated she didn’t even know if she wanted the baby anymore because her dream of having a family with Knox was shattered & that she can’t live without him. So if there’s no Knox then there’s no love for the baby? That right there just killed everything. Even her dad has an a-hole moment at the end. It even sounds like a cliffy. I have no interest in the continuation of this story. I only gave it a 2 because it was going well in the beginning otherwise it would’ve been lower.

Teasing Daddy's Best Friend: A Daddy's Friend Romance is a very short and sexy romance read. This is an older man/younger woman taboo romance – Knox is Meagan’s father’s older friend and Meagan is an 18 year old young woman who is attracted to Knox. Knox is 20 years older than Meagan and their romance story is forbidden and taboo. Meagan has decided she wants Knox and is going to get him. Their romance is full of drama, ups and down and very passionate and erotic. This is a short story and it ends suddenly and the epilogue really was not one I enjoyed. I would have liked it to be better in terms of how short the story was. Overall, was a good and sassy taboo read, would have preferred a better epilogue for the story.

My Rating: 4.3 stars *****

The story was good but for some reason, I had a hard time "feeling" it. Knox is 20 years older than Meagan and she is his best friends daughter. It's the typical older man/younger woman romance and while it was very well written, it just seemed like Knox felt like he was hiding his romance with her. Meagan seemed immature and when Knox's ex catches them in the office, you know something is going to happen. Like I said, the story is good, but I felt could have been expanded on to fill the reader in on more of the story. It was fall in love, have sex in the office and finding out she's pregnant. It felt rushed, especially the ending! I was left with the feeling of, "this is the end?" I wanted to know what happened after that.

Teasing Daddy’s Best Friend is the story of Knox and Meagan.

Dads best friend x best friends daughter, boss x employee, age gap, it’s always been you kind of, she acts so childish like she was going to commit suicide when he let her go because he loved her. He acted so distant from her when he was divorcing his ex wife and when his ex wife fucked her dad for payback made me laugh at how petty she was. Man’s was in love with her since 17 but never acted on it. Tbh it lost points because she acted like a literal child.

Teasing Daddy's Best Friend is a naughty read for very young adults. I had no trouble reading for the storyline moved quickly. Meagan showed her ago and immaturity. The story went so rapidly there were only 3 settings, maybe. Main being home and office. Intimate times was shared only in the office. No dinners, dates or a real life relationship so to say. Had I not been reading it for the purpose of leaving this review I wouldn't have finished the book. No grammatical errors. No trouble misunderstanding or getting lost. A quick read for anyone who likes a slam, bam, preggo the next day, a little temper tantrum or pouty rant then I love you, The End. I would choose a book written by J.L. Beck anytime I need a quick run story in between reads.

This is an older man younger women story. Meghan has been in love with her father’s best friend for as long as she can remember. When her dad gets her a job with Knox it’s kinda her dream come true. She can now make her moves on him. I like the story , however I think that I have gotten too used to alternating POV. I would have loved to know more of what Knox is thinking and feeling. We finally learn a little bit at the end but it felt rushed. Then out of nowhere there is a twist, and done, the book is over. It was a quick sexy read, I just feel there was more that could have been told.

I voluntarily asked for an ARC, which was kindly provided by the author, in exchange for an honest review.

Teasing Daddy's Best Friend is a short read, based around a taboo romance of an older man Knox and Meagan 20 years his junior.

From the start Meagan is obsessed with Knox, the very idea of him. A bit of drama is thrown into play with some erotic sex in the mix..

J.L. Beck is a new author to me, so I was unfamiliar with her work. The cover was nice and appealing as well as the hot title, but that's where it stopped with my enjoyment for Teasing Daddy's Best Friend.

Knox acted younger than Meagan and that's always a worrying character trait, for a grown man. The writing was on the poor immature side and way toooo much telling. I needed more to the story... please show me! It took me a while to read it due to some formating issues which were messing with my head (but this maybe due to epub version I was given??? This was never resolved with an answer from the author). Overall I needed more to this story, but I can see how some women would enjoy the story... hot older man, and some sex. Me on the other hand I need more plot and character development.

For me it fell flat, but happy to give the author another go in the future.

Sorry but.. kind of disappointing. The beginning was promising. I thought I'd love Knox, and Meagan seemed more mature for her age. But...nope. I ended up not liking either of the main characters. Knox was a jerk. And treated Meagan like she was his secret mistress and were expecting their secret child. He didn't give her the love, the respect and the emotional support she deserved. He didn't even go with her to the doctor's appointment. WTF?! Like, "I'm going to keep f@cking your brains out, and I'm going to support you and our child but I'll do it in secret, no one must know about this. Ever." Mmm I wonder how they would have managed that. What were they going to tell her father? How did they would explain Knox's presence in the child's life?
Furthermore, Meagan's reaction towards the end baffled me. She acted like a childish, immature, selfish, stupid little girl. Not like a pregnant young adult. I understand her desperation, really. But her reaction was a bit too much.
And Knox? My God, what a coward! I expected him to finally grow some balls and claim his love and his child. But I was sorely disappointed.
I can't even say he redeemed himself in the very end. Sure, they got their HEA, sort of. But not thanks to him.

Meghan has been attracted to her father's friend for what seems forever and on her eighteenth birthday he shows up. When she finally catches him alone they talk and she can tell he has been drinking and they end up kissing. Meghan starts working for Knox and their attraction builds more intense. One evening they give in and have sex they know her father wouldn't approve so they keep it quiet. However when Knox's ex wife enters the picture again their secret is at risk of being exposed. Can they reveal the truth before someone else does?

This was a short, quick story. The chemistry between Meghan and Knox is intense. The story was well written and kept your attention through til the end. If you haven't read anything by J.L. Beck then this book would be a great start.

Very well written short story with great storyline and plot. A hot romance. I liked this story a lot. It is a older man/younger woman story. I would have loved that it was longer and had a bit more depth to it. It has got great potential to easily get a five star review.

There is drama, family issues, passion, emotions, hot scenes and lots of chemistry in this amazing story. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. I like to hear what happens in the future so an epilogue would have been welcomed.

I like the main characters and how they develop. Their chemistry is amazing. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was a good quick read. I really enjoyed the writing. I did have some minor issues. I find stories with "daddy" figures are either a hit or miss with me. This was was a little bit of a miss. I tend to find it creepy when the older man is involved from day one with the younger girl. In this story, Meagan has just been offered her dream job. She has literally just finished high school and is given a pretty major role in a multi-billion dollar company. Which is partly her dream because she has the hots for the boss. Who, in turn, is also her father's best friend. As in he was there for her birth etc. Things go from 0-60 in just a few chapters. She starts working with Knox and very quickly he goes from daddys best friend to Meagans lover. Then theres some twists and turns.

This story felt a little familiar until it didn’t. We don’t get too much about Knox other than he’s twenty years older and likes to play in his office a lot. Megan is ready to work at her dad’s company and is excited to be working for her daddy’s best friend. She’s ready to do anything he asks of her.

I enjoyed Megan’s character and really wanted more from Knox. Their chemistry is hot, but their story didn’t talk to me like I wanted it too. This story was quick and felt rushed especially towards the end. I had hoped for a better resolution but hey, this just shows that this story is real and not everything falls into place like we expect them too.

This was a very short story by Josi Beck. Knox is the super hot older guy that also happens to be best friends with Meagan's dad. Meagan has had a crush on Knox for many years and is very excited to learn that her father has gotten her a job as Knox's assistant. The story itself was very good but ended abruptly. A few critical situations were left unanswered: 1)Why had Knox and Kelly (his ex-wife) been meeting secretly? & 2)Did Meagan's father ever find out about the pregnancy? These 2 situations had become a huge focus in the book, but were never resolved. I would have rated this 5 stars if those would have been resolved. I received an ARC for my honest review.

J.L. definitely has a way with words because this book was amazing. She was able to capture how to go after what you want.

Meagan has always had a thing for her dad's best friend Knox. Well when her dad gets her a job instead of going to college she is nervous but excited to find out it is at Knox's company as his personal assistant. Things start out as a normal job would but heat up really fast and Meagan gets what she wants and that is Knox. However what happens when his ex-wife finds them in a compromising position?

Overall I absolutely loved this book and that no matter what happened Meagan went for and got what she wanted.

This was a good story and a quick and easy read. There were a couple steamy scenes between Meghan and Knox, and they had good chemistry with each other. However, I wish there had been an epilogue as the story seemed to end abruptly. There were two major situations that I felt weren't resolved before the story ended. I don't want to give them away but they were pretty big focal points throughout the story, especially the last half of it. I wish there had been more of a follow up on how those situations turned out.

This was definitely not one of the best pieces I've ever read; An older man younger woman story, it was to be expected... predictable even, but there just wasn't any passion, no depth of character and or development.

I skimmed the end, the story lost me.

Megan Thompkins is 18, shes just finished high school and her father gets her a job with his friend (and supposed business partner), as his PA... the romance develops from there... She gets pregnant and it all becomes complicated throw in a jealous ex wife and her father's friendship with her boss Knox Grayson.

Not really something I'd recommend, but if you want to read it suit yourself.

Meghan and Knox story was short but also kept the reader interested in what was to come of their love affair. Meghan is just turned 18 and goes to work for her dads best friend Knox, she’s always had a crush on him and her fantasy grows the longer she is around him. They finally decide to act on their chemistry but decide it’s just a short term thing but fate has other ideas.

Overall it is well written and worth the read, but fairly short so it won’t take the reader long to read their story.

This is a great short story. Meghan has had a crush on Knox for years. The problem is Knox is her father's best friend and is also 20 years older than her. She soon finds herself working with Knox. These two flirt at work until one day it progress to more. Soon the two find them having to make life altering decisions. I really liked Meghan, she is sweet and knows what she wants. Knox was a little harder for me to like. I wanted him to take a more active role in the story. At times I felt like the relationship was one sided. All in all a nice short steamy story!

Having a crush at Daddys best friend at a young age and when she turned 18 it didn’t become easier to forget her crush. Working as his personal assistant for Knox wasn’t going to be easy. Teasing him will be her goal to get his attention. Meagan later has circumstances come up and she has to let Knox know and Knox’s ex-wife becomes a threat. I feel like the ending was a tease to another book but it was very intriguing from the beginning to end. Definitely recommend if you enjoy reading short books.

This story is short and fast paced. Although I read this book in one sitting, I am sad to say, this book wasn’t for me. I really wanted to like the hero and heroine – Knox and Meagan but I didn’t. I kind of liked Meagan but she let Knox treat her like crap. I wanted her to stand up for herself and walk away. I didn’t feel any chemistry or spark between Knox and Meagan. It felt like they were just having a sexually relationship because they were bored.
Although the ending did turn around, it felt rushed. I wanted the ending to be longer and for an epilogue.

I really liked the build up in this story. Knox being 20 years older than Megan was what drew me to it. I like these types of stories alot. The flirting and chemistry they had together was great for a short read! As i read i got in to the story and knew it was coming to the end, so i was just slightly disappointed that it ended, i wanted it to be just a little longer. And clear up a couple of things that went unanswered!!! But other than that i loved it!!!

Normally I love JL Beck's books and I truly hate leaving such a low review. However there were just things missing from this book for me. While the storyline and what happened is a realistic expectation of some of the issues they face, the emotional connection for me was missing. The story also felt rushed and was missing some extra oomph. I am glad I read it but it won't be one of hers that I re-read. Looking forward to the next release. An Awesome Book!

I loved reading Teasing Daddy’s Best Friend: A Daddy’s Friend Romance, all about Meagan Thompson an eighteen year old Assistant to Knox Grayson a forty-seven year old BFF & business partner to my dad. The author wrote a story about a young girl who is infatuated with her dad’s BFF, and the struggles she faces with her choices! I loved reading this book along with the other eight other stories included!

4.5- This was a very fast read full of sexy, hot, steamy scenes that made be hunger for more. The taboo relationship between Knox and Meghan makes this book so fun to read. What happens when Meghan decided she wants more from her dad's friend? A forbidden kiss and now what happens? Will Knox step up and fight for the feelings he has for Meghan or will he let her go to someone else. This was a sexy taboo read and it was HOT! Thank you for allowing me to read and write about it.

I loved Meagan for being an 18 year old she was sassy and new what she wanted and that was Knox her fathers older friend. The attraction was off the charts and these two were perfect for each other, the story line was good and I loved the characters as they tried to figure out the situation they found themselves in and the obstacles they had to endure but would love so much more of these guys.
