This collection of short stories has been waiting patiently in my library for a while now,and the time has come to read them.
Even though there were typos throughout,i enjoyed them. Even though they weren’t all as “dark” as i’m used to,they were delectable.
Not to complicated,but still entertaining,these short stories were fun to read.

Variable, but GREAT when it is good.
I knew going into this collection that I don't do well with short story collections. I also knew I enjoyed Golden Angel's work on Literotica.
Everything here is good. The final story, "Being The Maid", could be published as a novel in its own right, and on its own I'd probably give it five stars.
There's a lot of sex here, but Golden Angel writes good sex. The book comes with a trigger warning which should be taken into account. But if dark is your thing this collection is worth a look.

Great selection of Dark Tales, especially the last which was an almost full length novel about a Princess and her maid being captured by four brigands and the ensuring things the gals had to put up with from them..let's just say, the ladies drank plenty of protein, if you get my drift, and learnt tricks, neither of them had the slightest idea about. A great ending as well, especially for the romantics out there!

Its darkly excellent
If you are a fan of darker themed erotica, as I am, the short stories in this compilation will certainly appeal to you. This is not a skipping through the fields flowery romance. This book explores a darker side. The first story intrigued me and I hope there is more to follow on this story. I appreciated the thoughtful storyline and the development of all the characters in each of the short stories. This isn’t just a whole bunch of sex scenes thrown together into a half-baked story. Please do read the warnings the author thoughtfully places in the buy synopsis as there are definitely bdsm, non/dub con scenes, and taboo encounters.

After re-reading His, Captive in the Dark and Seduced in the Dark, dark erotica which I absolutely enjoy, I decided to try a few new to me authors.
Dark Angel however wasn't up on par with its namesakes. I'm sorry, but when I read *dark* erotica, I do not want to read about women already "creaming" (what an awful term!) while being auctioned off and then more or less consensually fucked, because that's how - of course and how could it ever be different? - they are wired, because, well, how can any woman not be? Duh. This a) takes the fun out of it for me and b) paints women in general something they most assuredly aren't and c) the sex is intellectually so challenged, that it's offensive on that count and not on being sex per se.
The other stories weren't any better and I simply skimmed them. But it leaves me with the question, why I as a woman should be turned on by fictional characters who get turned on by stuff illiterate, masculinist US dudes get turned on. Well, maybe that is the audience this was written for. My bad.
Any which way: did not enjoy.

Well done
This was the first book I read by this author's darker alter ego. I thought it was well done. The first part of the book is a series of short stories, while the last one is longer, starting at 29% and ending at 99%. As in most anthologies or collections, some of the stories I liked more than others, but overall I thought they were well done.

Very good read
There were a few short stories then it ended with a pretty long story about a maid and a princess abducted by bandits it was very interesting with lots of intimate scenes so if you don't enjoy lots and lots of bow chicka wow wow don't read this but I enjoyed it very much

Awesome
This is one really good book of different stories. I loved every single one. Each one takes you on a new level of enjoyment. I so hope she expands on the first one as it is my favorite. The amount of hotness is off the charts. You don't want to miss this.

Great hot and kinky!

I was looking for another short story compilation and found this one on KU. I am usually a fan of Sinistre Ange, but this collection kind of made me less of a fan. Many many typos and word choices that grossed me out me out but were also repeated constantly. Also characters had knowledge that didn’t match their situation. (Example: Virgin didn’t know what cunnilingus was but knows about g spots.
Prison Sentence: ⭐️ um did not like and had to quit about halfway through. Somebody must love it since she is making a full length novel about this.
The Truth will Set You Free: ⭐️⭐️⭐️: Mixed feelings about this one but I liked it and was entertained. Naughty and dubcon due to drugging. Also I just don’t think the words “revenge” and “sex” together ever really do it for me personally.
The Lord’s Personal Maid: ⭐️⭐️: Not a ton of plot on this one. Easily forgettable. so many typos in these stories.
Being the Maid: ⭐️⭐️⭐️: 2.75. I like the premise and why she said she write the story. It doesn’t seem to know what kind of story it wants to be. Starts as dark smut with lots of rape and gang banging and attempts to morph into a love story. I liked the characters. It was way too long with lots of pages of inner dialogue that I skimmed.

Prison - 2 stars. It was meh. It actually stopped just when I thought the story would become interesting.

Lord’s Personal Maid - 2.5 stars. I enjoyed this one the most out of all the stories and I’d it was OK. I liked the characters and the smut. Wouldn’t reread though. Again, it cut off earlier than it should have. I was curious about how their dynamics would change with the FMC as the mistress

I would have only given this 3 stars as the final and longest tale contains a lot of rape scenes along with serious sexual assault but there are warnings at the opening of the book so to criticise this would be unfair. However the final tale is hard to take even if there is a happy ending,
It seems that the opening tale has been turned into a full story and it is an interesting idea in theory if morally indefensible.
The second tale I have already read as a standalone novella and it is enjoyable as well as erotic.
Tale 3 is the shortest and works well as a lesbian erotic work, that could be expanded into something longer.

These are dark tales, as promised, full of potential triggers. Proceed with caution after reading the blog. The protagonists go through extremely dark, painful experiences, but do ultimately reach ‘the light at the end of the tunnel’ for a satisfying, if not happy, ending. ‘Being the Maid’ is a brutal study of the Stockholm Syndrome when a princess and her maid fall into the clutches of four brigands and are kept captive for degrading and painful treatment. The juxtaposition of all the different personalities is interesting and well done and plot twists add interest and enjoyment

I was surprised to find I agreed with other previous critical reviews - this is just not that dark. I think it wanted to be and the short stories are well written, but looking for a book that felt dark or taboo and this just wasn't fulfilling that desire.

High on Heat, Direct in Approach
This collection is fairly diverse in its takes on steam, but within the longer stories, there was a tendency toward skimmable repetition. And this reader's preference is for an HEA, but that's not what's advertised, so I can't be mad at that. 3.5 stars.

Enjoyable short novellas and a full length story in this bundle.
All interesting reads and all different storylines.
I do hope the first novella gets extended into a book as that had potential.

This is a new author for me. I really enjoyed the first story the most and wished that that author had elaborated on it more so than the rest of the book. With the exception of the first story, this book was sort of meh. C-

An awesome book
The princess and maid going to the wedding that was interrupted by bandits had a very different ending than I thought it would. It was a very sexy hot book with a really good story line in the last story.

Dark = It’s rape, but they have orgasms, so that’s supposed to make it okay. There were so many sex scenes that it actually got boring and I skimmed, that’s saying something. Lastly, body parts get torn, sore and chaffed being over used. I winced and cringed a lot.
