With her grandson's magical studies well underway, it's time for Elizabeth's family to uphold their end of the bargain for his return. The powerful mage king sends one of his princes to help her family retrieve some mysterious magic items in return for a share of the bounty. The mission is fraught with risks, but it isn't the dangerous mercenaries guarding the ancient ruined city that cause Elizabeth concern. If her family attempt to double cross the mages, she could be accused of treason. On top of that, her turbulent past with the prince and the presence of her estranged adult son distract her from the real danger. When everything goes wrong, her trust in the mage kingdom throws her family's suspicion back on her.

Rin Grey is the fantasy pen name for romance author Rinelle Grey. Her stories have the same overall feeling and eventual happily ever after, as well as a strong romantic theme, but don’t necessarily meet all the typical romance conventions. Characters may betray other characters, cheat, or go through more than one partner over the course of the story. If these bother you, I'd recommend you click away now!

I received a copy of Divided Heir by Rin Grey in exchange for an honest review.
Note: this review contains spoilers!
This is the third book in the Prophecy Unravelled series and it’s even more exciting than the others!
We’ve met most of the major players, there’s still that voice that Jocelyn talks to, now it’s time to reveal secrets and take some action.
It’s time for Elizabeth’s family to follow through on their part of the bargain that got Mitch back. They need to find the mystical artifacts and give some of them to the mages. But things are never as they seem in this series and even though Sean comes back into Elizabeth’s life, his motives are never clear. And of course he won’t explain anything. The good thing is that Elizabeth finally gets to meet her grown son, the one baby she thought about aborting, the reason she was thrown out of the Dome.
The real question is who will she support? Her daughter and grandson whom she has grown to care about more than she thought she would? The mages and Sean in particular who taught her everything but have secrets layered apon secrets?
There are parts of the story that are full of action, but there is so much emotional drama, that I was worn out by the end of the book! I had to read it in one sitting because it moved so fast and I needed to know the answers to all those secrets!
Where’s the next book?

This book continues with Elizabeth trying to get some magical items for her family. We get to meet the mage she fell in love with and find out why she left the Dome. She also is trying to figure out how her relationship with Digger is going to continue.

I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review!
Was not sure about this book because I don't read many books about magic, but this book once I got started, was great & I really enjoyed it. Elizabeth is a mage & the book center around her life.
