About the author

Robby is a fifth-generation pastor who was born to missionary parents in Japan. Robby had an early start in ministry. In his father’s church, he began a children’s ministry at the age of 12, and became the youth minister at 16 years old. Robby says, “I knew from a young age that God had called me into ministry. My parents say that from the age of 2, I told people that I would grow up and be a missionary.” In many ways that has been the case in Robby’s life.

Robby and his wife Angie have been married for 25+ years and have 6 sons. He served as a youth pastor for 12 years for churches between 50 to 14,000 members before he and Angie planted a Vineyard church in the downtown area of Aurora, Illinois (Chicago area) in 1996. 70% of their church came to Christ at their church and 60% of that through Power encounters (Prophetic, Healing, Deliverance or ministry of God’s manifest presence). The mayor of Aurora along with its chief of police bestowed upon Robby and the Church an acknowledgment that he and the church made a significant difference in Aurora’s crime rate reduction.

Robby also ministers extensively as a conference speaker and a passionate Church equipper (in the U.S. and in 70+ countries) equipping in Power Evangelism. He was most recently featured in the movies “Furious Love” in 2010, “Father of Lights” in 2012, “Holy Ghost Reborn” in 2015, “Finger of God 2” in 2018 and has 2 more films with him being released in 2020. His book “Do What Jesus Did” was released in June 2013 and is on several Best Sellers lists in the UK, US and Europe. He then added “Identity Thief”, which was released in October 2015. His most recent book “Do Greater Things” was just released on January 1, 2018. He has been featured on Sid Roth’s “It’s Supernatural”, TBN’s “Praise the Lord” as well as a series titled “”Breaking Darkness”, “Today with Marilyn and Sarah”, as well as other programs on TBN, TBN UK and GOD TV. Robby is also a contributing writer for Charisma Magazine.

This book shares testimonials by the author of how everyday people can be used by God to heal the sick, cast out devils, and raise the dead! The author operates in the gifts of healings and shares the exploits the LORD has used him to perform. There are even testimonials in this book of people being raised from the dead with eyewitnesses present.

As this world gets darker, God's people are going to shine brighter. God is going to reveal His glory in these last of the last days. It is time for the Church to get equipped with the weapons and the gifts of love He has given us to bring healing, deliverance and life from the dead.

I found myself praying more for the sick as I read this book. I felt the anointing of the gifts of healing come upon me as I read this book, and many more opportunities to pray for the sick started coming to me. I believe that will happen to you too!

Great book that will stir your faith to do what Jesus commanded us to do: "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give" (See Matthew 10:8).

Robby Dawkins' third book, "Do Greater Things: Activating the Kingdom the Heal the Sick and Love the Lost," was an inspiring book for Christians and non-Christians, even Atheists, as a challenge to their current beliefs about who He is and what He can do. The book is filled with stories of people who experienced the power of God is real and tangible ways. People's backs that were in pain for more than twenty years instantly healed. Cancer being completely banished from people's bodies. Demonic oppression being lifted off of people.

I understand that some of the people who follow me don't believe in God, and they might not even believe in the miraculous. After reading Dawkins' first book, "Do What Jesus Did" back in 2014, Dawkins came to a prayer meeting at our church in Beverly, Massachusetts. A Chicagoland pastor in Aurora, IL, a friend invited him to come to our church to teach us how to pray for the sick and experience the miraculous. It was amazing! We got to see people's long-term pain in their backs and shoulders and necks all healed. Long-standing issues in people's lives were forever changed. I was even able to pray for someone at the meeting and a suspected cancerous mass in her body was completely gone when she went in for a scan without any treatment!

This book is filled with inspiring stories of how God uses his power in people's lives to show them that He loves them. He wants them to know that He cares and He can heal them. He also wants to have a real relationship with them and he can use the miraculous as an invitation. My favorite part of the book was when Mr. Dawkins calls on staunch Atheists to pray for others. His idea is that if God is not real, then their faithless prayers, a repeat after me formula, should have no effect and they would remain unchanged. Instead, when these Atheists pray, healings do happen, people's legs grow out, and lives are forever changed–the person who was healed and the Atheist, who now must respond to the new found knowledge they possess.

Check this book out! And if you don't believe in Jesus, pray and ask Him to show you Himself to you. Ask Him if He's real and I assure you that He will respond.

I read a previous book by Robby called Do What Jesus Did. I really liked it so when I saw this book come out I had to read it.

The title of this book is based on what Jesus told His disciples, that they would do even great things then He did. I still am amazed by this verse and I am fully aware that I am not living in that truth.

Anyway, this book is full of Robby’s own ministry and how he has done great things for the Kingdom. I admit as I read it I could feel less-than because I don’t go out and live as boldly. But Robby’s intention isn’t to shame us but to encourage us to live like Jesus and do even greater things.

I appreciate the chapter that talks about how the enemy will try to attack us as we live out the Kingdom on earth. So much truth. I also liked the chapter on discernment and hearing and knowing God’s voice.

If you want to be encouraged in your faith this book will definitely do that.

Such an engaging book that challenges believers in Christ to show God's love for people by demonstrating his power over sin, disease, infirmity, and death. The premise of this book is based on Jesus' words in John 14:12, which reads

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

Robby Dawkins gives practical tips on stepping out to pray for the sick and seeing results. The book is really easy to read and is filled with numerous testimonies that will jolt you up and be really giddy to pray for anyone you see. It's like the book of Acts happening in the 21st Century! Having read the book, I can't wait to put into practice what I've read!

I can't recommend it enough. Be prepared to be blown away!

If you are a person who is interested in developing an understanding of the gifts of the Spirit and want encouragement that we are able to do what Jesus did and more - this is a book for you. It is encouraging, uplifting, and will motivate you to dive deeper into your faith and take risks that will surely benefit the Kingdom. A recommended read.

This book is full of great stories and I have no doubt that Robby and I would have a ton of fun hanging out together. However, this book feels like it isn't structured well. Much of it moves from one story to another without a lot of connective tissue to link the stories. As a book, it struggles. You will certainly be encouraged by it, though.

I first came across Robby Dawkins while watching the tv series Adventures With God by filmmaker Darren Wilson. He also appears in four of Wilson’s documentaries: Furious Love, Father of Lights, Holy Ghost: Reborn, and Finger of God 2. Do Greater Things is the first book I have read by the author.

In Do Greater Things, Dawkins encourages the reader to seek out the greater things Jesus describes in John 14:12 - Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
Robby explains how this is available to every believer and should be the standard Christian experience. Throughout the book are testimonies of people who have been impacted by Dawkin’s ministry and teachings of his previous books. I highly recommend this book and the documentaries listed above.
