From USA Today Bestselling Authors comes book one in The Crossover Series. A mafia princess. The nation’s favorite football player. Can they make it work?
An unlikely matching of the stars. The opposites had it all for one year.
Justice Bexley, the daughter of Cain and Calla leaders of The Diamond Syndicate, sacrificed true love to protect Liam. Her selfish action destroyed them both. Liam Blake moved on with his prestigious career. However, his outlook on life was never the same. If his parents could fight for true love with a Pinky Promise he can keep moving forward. At least he tried convincing himself of that.
Some say true love has a way of finding its way back. Justice and Liam know better to believe. That’s up until the day they find themselves in a heated meeting.
She owns a new football team. He’s coming back from an injury and thirsty to prove the nation wrong. Years of pent-up anger and hatred may fuel an epic second chance love story or ruin both of them for good.
USA Today Best Selling Author, HJ Bellus is a small town girl who loves the art of storytelling. When not making readers laugh or cry, she's a part-time livestock wrangler that can be found in the middle of Idaho, shot gunning a beer while listening to some Miranda Lambert on her Beats and rocking out in her boots.
Audiobook review. I have read thousands of books and that’s not an exaggeration. When you’ve read this much, stories eventually start to feel familiar or recycled. Unfortunately, this was my experience.
This is a case of it’s not you, it’s me. The story is actually well written but nothing really struck me as unique or different. The elements that could have been leveraged, such as the mafia aspect, were left underdeveloped. This was a missed opportunity. Another was in the pacing. The antagonist of the story had this big role in building and setting up for a climax and when it came, I blinked and it was over.
Lacy Laurel is one of my favorite narrators. She did a great job injecting the story with a personality befitting our main characters. Her inflections, pace, tone, and pitch were great and she transitioned smoothly. Logan McAllister did a good job as well but had these odd pauses in his sentences periodically that made him sound almost robotic at times. Other than that, narration was solid.

Justice Bexley really was born and her parents played on her name. Being huge in the mafia, why not name the mafia princess Justice?! Never to really be ashamed of her name and family history, but wanting to find love, she finds what she feels is this in up and coming football player Liam Blake. But knowing what her family could do to Liam's career, Justice walks away.
Liam knows that Justice walking away was supposed to be for his own good (in her mind only). After years of hatred and hurt, an injury that has had him sidelined, getting an invitation to be on a new football team, owned by none other than the Justice herself, Liam finds that NOW is the time to heal himself, both of her and fix his career.
This read had me on the edge of my seat, yelling at both of them to wake up! But if they would have, of course, the book wouldn't have been as interesting!! The angst and sexual tension that turned into an inferno had me read this in one sitting, forgetting everything else in the world (wait - do I HAVE kids??!).
I read any and everything by Ms. Coopmans and always love it. This book was no exception and I hope to read more from this duo!!
Pinky Promise is my all time favorite HJ Bellus novel, so when I saw this crossover between her and Kathy Coopmans I knew I had to read it! These two ladies could not have done a more perfect job with Full Contact. I had such high expectations because, hello, favorite book + two amazingly talented authors has to equal BEST BOOK EVER right? Totally right! Full Contact seamlessly brought together the two worlds from these authors and created a book that was unputdownable! (yes, I’m making that a word)
Liam is everything I loved about his parents put into one HOT man. Strong, sexy, and all man but still kind, sweet, and incredibly romantic he’s one of the best heroes I’ve ever read. Justice and her family were completely new to me, but she was so wonderful I now have to go back and read her parents book! Justice was a perfect blend of tough, strong woman and kindhearted gentleness. She was perfectly matched to Liam creating a couple that I fell hard and fast for.
Their story brought out all the feels. I cried when my heart broke for them. I did a little happy sigh when they were so loving it poured off the pages. I giggled with some of my all time favorite characters when their families were around. And I reached for a fan when these two were so hot my kindle was steaming! There wasn’t a second of Full Contact that I didn’t love!
Amazing!! This book was written with so much emotions - heartbreak, love, family bonds....and the list could go on. Liam and Justice have unbreakable bond that is captured beautifully. I loved the family dynamic and how it was written. There are some crazy twists and turns in this story that will keep you from wanting to apart this book down. I really hope we will get to hear more about Alex's journey. H.J. Bellus and Kathy Coopmans are great authors and together are just fabulous!! I am so grateful for the opportunity to be given an ARc
Once upon a time, there were two authors. They were both amazing in their own rights. Each created a world you longed to disappear in. Each had their own way to make you feel their words. But one day they decided to team up, this is the result!
Full Contact is everything you expect from HJ Bellus and Kathy Coopmans. Whether you know the back stories for the characters or not, you will fall fast and hard. If like me you know some of the characters, you will be sporting a ridiculously huge and scary smile with all the feels flowing through you. It feels like a family reunion and a new adventure.
Full Contact is full of sexual tension, anger, and desperate longing. It's a full assault on your senses and heart. You will smile, clench your fists, and spontaneously burst into tears. If you are slightly in the stalker realm like myself, you may consider blowing up Facebook with your uncontrollable zeal.
Full Contact will have you neglecting reality and begging for more. You will finish it in both great joy and absolute need. Trust me!

Audiobook review:
It kills me to rate Full Contact the way I just did. Seriously, it hurts my insides. I lived the F out of this book when I read it. I devoured the words like a trail of candy leading to my HEA. i lived it so much. I loved, cried, raged, and mourned along side the Justice and Liam. I loved "seeing" old friends and making new ones.
However, these two narrators are both a major buzz kill for me. I tried. This is the second or third book I've trudged through with them and I can honestly say their styles didn't/don't work for me. While Logan has an appealing tone, his John Wayne style of speaking didn't click with Liam for me. Unfortunately, Lacey isn't my idea of Justice either. I had hoped it was something I just needed to get used to but I genuinely think that sometimes you jhst don't click with a narrator(s).
However, I fully recommend taking the time to read it for yourself! (I even have the paperback on my shelf!)
What an amazing crossover! I didn't think you could get a better book than Pinky Promise or The Wrath of Cain, but this just solidified the love for both books!! The concept was awesome, to take two great books by two authors and have them create a book based on the kids. I mean COME ON!!! GENIUS!!! It gives us book lovers that closure from the what happens next and takes the original story many years in the future. I loved that and I wish more would do this. It fulfills that need of wanting more from a story and a couple. Took it full circle. I can't say enough about this book.
So you take the daughter mob boss Cain and Calla Bexley (The Wrath of Cain by Cain) and the son of Stanton and Baylor Blake (Pinky Promise) and you get a HIT book! The chemistry between the two characters is off the charts and you can feel the passion through the pages. This book has comedy, romance, heat, suspense and a HEA. There are so many things I love about this book. The way it brings two books I loved together into this one amazing book is one of the things I love the most. The way it takes the kids of two different books and gives them a past and a future is another. I don't want to ruin anything about this book!
It is a football themed book, which I love sports romances so this is a plus as well. However if you don't like football, there is not enough of the actual football in it that should deter you from reading this book. It brings them together in the best possible way and I love it!
One favorite quote from the book Liam- " I need you, Justice, do you get me? Need. You are a necessity to me. Nothing else. Just you" I mean-- SWOON!!!
This was an amazing crossover book between to great authors. 4.5stars I loved the characters and the storyline in this book, but the first 2 or so chapters seemed to really drag (for me at least). I love the characters and how their relationship developes/redevelopes. One thing I love about Bellus's books are that they seem to have a more realistic time frame for the romance part to develop. Her books seem to flow more like real life and this book, I felt was the same way.
If you love Coopmans, but have never read anything from Bellus, this will be a good book.to start with. Although, I do suggest yoy read Pinky Promise and The Wrath of Cain before reading this book, just to have a better understanding of the characters.
Ok so overall the story was good, I am just not a fan of the beginning it really took me a while to get into the book. The struggle for me is “mafia princess” and how she is protecting him only it causes more pain.
I don’t know I just had a hard time connecting with, that then boom a few years later and know it feels like he is going to get some kind of revenge.
It does get better but by then I was really only half listening and I hate that because I normally love these authors.
Maybe it just wasn’t for me and will be for someone else.
I enjoyed the narration they really did a great job.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
I’m not going to lie, I’ve been in a major book funk for the last two weeks. Full Contact showed up on my kindle a few days ago and gave it ago. Before I knew it, I was 30% into the book.
Full Contact is a CrossOver of Pinky Promise and The Wrath Of Cain. I have it say this book is brilliant! I fell in love with Liam and Justice. I love that we saw Cain, Calla, Baylor and State. They’re all grown up and now watching their children together.
The book will grab you and pull you in. You’re gonna want to find out who’s behind things that are happening with Justice and Liam.
Second chance, football and mafia make a winning combination!
If you are a fan of The Syndicate series than you, like me, were thrilled that there would be more. This story is a standalone, true, but if you haven’t read the series, I can’t recommend it enough. High drama, mafia, love - it all comes together in stories that somehow managed to be wonderful without going over the top. And without those stories, this one would never have been.
Cain and Calla’s daughter Justice has to find her own way, navigating between family and what they do, who they are, and how she fits in it all. She’d given up Liam to save him and protect her family what she felt was a betrayal to the love and trust they had for her. Luckily, she gets a second chance to make it right – and maybe, just maybe – have true love, after all… Of course, if she can get past Liam’s defenses…
“You promise not to be an asshole?” She quirks an eyebrow. “Do you have a concussion?”
Liam is a solid guy. A football star who knows a lot about love and loyalty. His biggest challenge right now is balancing that with his career and a woman he wanted so hard to forget. Thankfully, forgiveness is on the agenda as well…
I really enjoyed this football-themed romance between two lovers who seemed to have it all before it all was lost. It definitely had a different feel than the mafia-focused series that spawned it as their conflict centered on choices rather than lifestyles. It didn’t have the hard-hitting violence that came with the series but it wasn’t needed or missed as all the drama needed centered on how love was worth fighting for. While I was a bit surprised at the ease of the resolution between the lovers, I enjoyed it all, including catching up on already-loved characters. I hope this means there will be more!
Kathy Coopmans and HJ Bellus have come together to co-wrote an amazing book together. it's a Football read which I am all about those sports romance and its a crossover book taking the children from the Pinky Promise and The Wrath Of Cain. I fell completely in love with Liam and Justice. What this book does is give us reader book closure on the original stories from what happens next and takes those characters children many years in the future and start their stories. Loved it!!! It totally fulfilled a need to find out how those characters are doing and what is going on with them in the future. In this book, you take the Justice--daughter mob boss Cain and Calla Bexley (The Wrath of Cain by Cain) and the Liam--son of Stanton and Baylor Blake (Pinky Promise) and get a total fabulous 2nd chance love story. The emotional journey that Justice and Liam go on is one that I was addicted to. The chemistry was off the charts and the passion was the kind that leapt off the pages. There is so much angst, heartbreak, action, intrigue, suspense, humor and above all, LOVE that shines throughout the pages of this book. There are many things that I liked and love about this read. I especially loved getting a chance to revisit with past characters( Cain, Calla, Baylor and State) and also the new characters introduced whose stories I would love to read (hint hint Alex). This book has a mafia angle along with a sports background. You will be amazed how well the both work together. This was an amazing read and I loved the emotional roller coaster journey that the authors took the reader on. This was so addicting that I couldn’t stop reading until fully done. Liam and Justice are characters that will grab your attention from the first moment and wont let up until the very end. As soon as I was done reading this story, I jumped into reading The Wrath of Cain and Pinky Promise because I didn’t want to stop reading these families HEA feeling. Great 2nd chance love story with a mafia sports twist.
My Rating: 4.9 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
When I read that Full Contact involved a mafia princess and a football player I knew instantly this was the type of story that I would instantly be hooked to and I was correct. I love the idea of these two characters from two completely different worlds being together. I haven’t read a storyline like this one before and found it to be really entertaining and I read it all in one sitting, keeping me up in the early hours of the morning reading it.
Justice is one of them female characters where you immediately want to be because of how strong and amazing they are. I loved the way that she set out to get what she wants in life and she worked hard for it. I really enjoyed how she didn’t let any dictate her life and the way that she looked out for the people that she cared about.
Liam was not only the star football player, but he was also the sexy and hot football player that all the girls wanted. There was so much more to him then just that and it was evident in the way that looked out for his family and the way that he treated others. I really loved this character.
Full contact is about two characters that are complete opposites to each other and are from two completely different families. But the attraction between these two characters are strong, can they make a relationship between them work?
Full Contact brings together two amazing authors that has written this story that is based off two of their series. This has resulted in an amazing story that had so much heart, angst, love, romance, steam and drama in it. The characters have a lot of chemistry between them and I could not get enough of them. I really enjoyed this story and I couldn’t get enough of it and this left me wanting more from these two authors writing together.
Hellooooo...Two of my fav Authors co-wrote a book together!!! Kathy Coopmans and HJ Bellus... Woohoo, get ready to get your socks knocked off!! Ohhh and to top it off, umm it's a Football read which I am all about those sports romances books!! Doing the Happy Dance!!
They were high school sweethearts.

He knows they need him for his power, professionalism and prestige even though he is recouping from a football injury.
She needs everything Liam Blake, she knows he will help her team become #1. But secretly she is hoping she can win him back and love her again.
But will he be able to forgive her leaving him years ago? Can he move past all the heartbreak he went through?
Y'all, go one click Full Contact on release day!! This book is full of sexual tension, banter, some good ole mafia drama and some Hawt Ass Alpha Male. Soo much yumminess all in one book!!
I gave Full Contact 5 iScream Smoken Hawt Cones!! Thank you for this read Coopmans and Bellus! I hope y'all collaborate in some more books cuz y'all nailed it in this one!!! Ohhh and I will be stalken y'all to find out who wrote what cuz really it was flawless!! lol I think I know but I bet I'm wrong..haha : )
I can seriously say that this 5 star story really got its hooks in me. I basically read it in a matter of hours because it’s that amazingly beautifully written. A duo of authors that pulled off a consuming story.
Justice left Liam 7 years ago and never looked back. She thought she was protecting him from her family. Now years later Liam thinks he can get some sort of revenge on her. But their love never diminished after all those years apart. Justice’s life is in danger and Liam will step up to protect what’s his.
Pinky Promise, a novel written by H.J.Bellus and The Wrath of Cain by Kathy Coopmans are the beginning of this journey. These 2 authors have combined both stories in order to give us their kids. It was an unique and great idea that brought me great joy to read. Full Contact was an enticing and addictive story that was never dull. It was an entertaining, suspenseful love story. The chemistry between Liam and Justice was off the charts. I really enjoyed these great characters that made up the story. As soon as I was done reading this story, I immediately jumped into reading Pinky Promise and The Wrath of Cain is next.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I hope we get Alex’s story next. I strongly recommend this story.
Not many can pull off a crossover novel but damn... Heidi and Kathy did a wonderful job. What I liked the most was how two different worlds of people and backgrounds were essentially the same in goals and importance. Nothing better than Justice and Liam finding their way and channeling their anger, hurt, and deception by allowing love to shine through and letting the past go. Talking it out was key and both of them just had to get there. Find their way back to what works for them by feeding off the examples of which raised them.
Nothing shows love and devotion like this... “Taint what? My reputation? I don’t give a shit about that. If you're involved, then so am I. Football is a career, Justice. That’s all it is. You’re my goddamn life!”
That is a “You had me at Hello” statement right there. Liam had me swooning and dropping my own panties. How can you not know a man is truly in love after that. Justice heart or soul didn’t stand a chance. Liam proved that statement to be true until the end of the book.
Great second chance love story with a mafia sports twist. By twist I mean crazy stalker shit. A true must read.
I know this is Justice and Liam’s book but I have to mention daddy Cain in all his bad ass alphaness. If you haven’t read the syndicate series I recommend you do it’s not necessary but they are great books.ive not read Pinky Promise ( Liam’s parents ) but that will be rectified.
Justice was a paradox she was everything I expected Cain and Calla’s daughter to be but also so unexpected. Liam star football player loving son and brother, tough on the field soft as butter off the field.
What a fantastic crossover bringing two completely different genres together seamlessly. The concept of second chance lovers brought together again set against football and a crime family. I don’t know which author wrote which parts which shows what a brilliant collaboration this was.
Love and passion off the charts, the chemistry was so hot I’m surprised the pages didn’t burst into flames. A brilliant story which I hope is only the start of a new series.
Talk about an amazing collaboration!! Each author is great on their own but they are explosive as a team!! A very emotional story full of love and heartbreak and a very incredible family dynamic. There was never a dull moment as it was filled with plenty twists and turns. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time.
This book was given to me at my request and I provided this review voluntarily
Since I love reading both authors I knew this would be a great choice !! Of course I have yet to read Pinky Promise but I could still appreciate the bit of backstory we got about Liam's parents and look forward to reading about them after the fact. I loved Wrath of Cain because of course I am a sucker for the second chance romance and thrown together with mafia/MC how could you go wrong. This book itself is also a second chance romance adding to it mafia/football !! Talk about crossing over !! Of course it seems a bit strange , out of the ordinary for the mafia to own a football stadium but hey why not !! I enjoy stories that can be unique yet still give us what we expected. Since I just read Cain and Calla's story only in recent years it is funny to be reading about their baby all grown up BUT WOW Justice has grown into an amazing woman. Sadly she made a choice to leave the man she loved in college and has lived regretting that. Seven years later she is not only in a position to give him his football comeback BUT she may also be able to right wrongs and win back the man she loves... Liam was born into football and has since then made a name for himself in his father's footsteps. After an injury sidetracked his career he couldn't pass up the chance to sign for a brand new team AND make the girl that left him in college squirm. It is obvious Liam still loves Justice and as much as he wants to make her life miserable he finds pretty quickly that it has been without him. The push and pull was great , I enjoyed the way they thought they could resist or take things slow. I was happy that it didn't take long to fix their relationship and that they were able to be honest with each other without a ton of angst and needless drama. Having said that of course you have to know that there will be some drama and suspense. I was happy to catch up with the family and also intrigued with Alex and his issues. Will we get more crossover from these ladies ??
Reviewed by on behalf of http://bookaddict.live, Full Contact is crossover from two different worlds each of the authors have created. To me this is a well written story about a couple who met when in college and fell in love. As young adults trying to figure their place in life, and Justice coming from a mafia family thinks leaving Liam who has bright future in NFL as a star player is the right thing to do. So there no taint from her Family’s association.
So in essence this is a second chance love story between Justice and Liam. There is so much bitterness but still love on Liam's side, and Justice has always loved Liam in the intervening years. I haven’t read either series the families come from, but the richness in the characters of the parents and siblings makes me want to go back and read the other series. So the couple get back together, but the way is paved with problems from an outside agent. I loved Liam he was swoon worthy, and was so in love with Justice. This is an enjoyable read which centered on the football team and the couples lives, and their families. I received an ARC of this review in exchange for an honest review

It's a mix of emotions to read a book written by two author's, mainly because we can't predict if their writting will complement each other. One author I really love, I know her work but the other author I only had listen and read very good reviews. So... What to think? Should I go for it? Hell yeah. H.J. Bellus and Kathy Coopmans got together to create a new masterpiece and I was, after the first doubts vanished, super excited to read it and I couldn't start it soon enough. Kathy Coopmans has been one of my favorite authors of all times because every single book written by her gave me love, crime, suspense, heartache, mystery and some pretty hot stuff. After I finished one book I wanted more and more. Full Contact is their latest release and tells the stories of Justice and Liam. I just need to ask you something... Have you read the Syndicate Series by Kathy Coopmans? If you haven't you need to because Justice is the daughter of Cain and Calla in The Wrath of Cain, and because this is one series you can't miss. Or have you read Pinky Promise by H.J. Bellus? Because Liam is State and Baylor's son. Oh boy... How can two different worlds get together without collide? Justice is the daughter of two mob bosses and sometimes things aren't easy. She had to make the worst and most painful decision of her life the day she ended things with Liam. She wanted to protect him from her world but she just lost her heart in the process. Liam saw his world crumbling down the day the love of his life ended things with him. He's a football player and a kind and sweet man but something is missing. When Justice decides that after 7 years letting him go was a huge mistake she reappears in his life but things aren't that easy... OMG this book is amazing. It's brutal, it's raw, it's wild, it's hot... You name it. Everything makes sense and every puzzle piece fit. Jesus. The plot is exquisite, astounding, very well written, fast paced and engaging. The interation between the characters is raw, sometimes bumpy but so intense and breathtaking. Get ready for some hot scenes as well. If you think that you'll have a sweet story think again. This book has crime, punishment, deceive, betrayal as well as forgiveness, true love, loyalty and so much more. Once I started it I couldn't put it down because things were happening in a way that I wanted to keep reading and reading. Jeez, what a rollercoaster. Girls you nailed it. This book brings the best of two books and created an outstanding book. Please tell me that Alex will have his own book? Pretty please? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Justice Bexley met Liam Blake while she was in college, and they fell quickly in love. But she's from a mafia family, and was convinced that it would hurt his career in the NFL if it came out, so she snuck out in the middle of the night, destroying them both. Now years later, she's running a new NFL team that her family, The Diamond Syndicate owns, and they are going to sign him, as their new QB. Liam is coming back from a serious injury, and is desperate to prove everyone wrong, not to mention, he finally gets to come face to face with the woman who broke his heart. But will the years of pent up anger & hatred exploded into an epic second chance or ruin them both for good? Full Contact was an amazing story that kept me in one position cover to cover, as I couldn't put it down for anything. First of all, it had to do with football, that alone deserves 5 stars being my other favorite pastime. Second, I loved Justice, even when I wanted to shake her, because she was a woman who loved football, and although I really dug how strong she was, sometimes she took it to the extreme. And Liam, boy he was mouth watering, even in his anger, which at times he needed to be shaken as well. Together, they lit the sheets up with their sexy times! And the colorful cast of secondaries were so much fun, that they kept me laughing a lot! Add in the twists that I never saw coming, well, they kept f-bombs raining down. These two authors meshed together brilliantly, and I certainly couldn't get enough. I really CANNOT WAIT to read the next book, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Sometimes life comes full circle. Sacrificing for another, leaving both people bereft, and living each day with regret. It’s time to make their HEA. We
Liam and Justice have a past. They were so in love, but Justice up and left him just leaving behind a note. Liam never quite got over it.
Now, he’s in contract talks to play for a new football team. After being injured, he thought him time was up, but Justice is back and wants him to play for her family’s team!
It’s Liam’s dream. Football has always been. But he’ll have to let his anger and the hurt at Justice go, in order to move forward.
Justice is now the general manager of her family’s newly formed football team. Her family, they are mafia. She’s not interested in being a part of that life, even though she loves them. She wants a career and a life separate and untainted.
She never wanted to hurt Liam. She still loves him. Now’s her chance to apologize for the way she just up and left him while he slept and find a way to love eachother again.
The story will keep you on your toes. These two struggle with keeping secrets that end up causing them issues. Each wants to protect the other, but honesty and trust has to be their path to build a relationship.
Liam and Justice have incredible chemistry. It’s like gravity. They just can’t resist. The story has it’s hot and steamy, as well as sweet and swoony moments. The family’s are great side characters and I just adored Rowe.
Fabulously fun, sexy, second chance romance. Justice is a mafia daughter so when she meets and falls in love with Liam in college, she chooses to walk away, afraid her family will taint his football career. She shattered Liam’s heart. Her family is starting a new football team and need a quarterback and Liam is the best man for the job. Liam wasn’t sure he would play football again after a severe injury. When the Idaho Diamonds call, he really doesn’t want to see Justice again but knows this is his best shot of getting back on the field. This was a wonderful journey back to love but the road was hard, could Liam find forgiveness in his heart for Justice? The chemistry between these two is electric, there is a true love for each other and the sport of football. Add in some suspense and this is a perfect romantic escape. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Second chance romances are not really my cup of tea. I love both of these authors however this fell kind of flat. I really didn't like how easy it was for the characters to fall back into a routine together. They didn't really work for the relationship. It was just too wham bam their together. The blurb and the storyline draws you it. Yet at the same time if was hard to get into the romance but it felt too unreal. Justice and Liam have a strong connection so it makes the story grow on the reader. She is the mafia princess while he is the star quarterback. They have an unlikely bond but makes sense for themselves.
The ending turns the mediocre novel into intoxicating territory. It will stop your heart with the drama that finally unfolds.
I think its sweet that even in pain Liam won't let his woman go, "...As he rounds the corner, I hear it happen before he cries out in pain. A loud thump, followed by, “Son of a ****h!”as he howls in pain. I can’t help but laugh. “Jesus Christ.”I howl in laughter as he dances around with me in his arms..." I really liked Liam, the man had swagger, “Oh, baby, can’t help my natural charisma.” Liam strides toward me. His sweaty body presses into mine along with droplets of water falling from his hair..." I enjoyed this book, I thought Bellus and Coopmans made one heck of a team, I hope to see more from them.
I'm going to be honest here and let you know that I haven't read any of the books that make up this "Crossover Series", so I can only base my review on this book. I struggled with connecting to the storyline, was it meant to be about a second chance romance? About Liam's profession and the NFL? About Justice and the mafia? It was for lack of a better word, busy, flipping back and forth between all three, didn't jive with me. While I did connect to the characters, I felt like Justice was quite dramatic and a little spoiled. And Liam, while I realize he's meant to be an "alpha", at times came across as someone with anger issues, just missed the mark for me.
I listened to the story on Audible. The narrators both did a good job. I preferred the female narrator because the male narrator went a bit over the top at times, but overall, it was a good narration. I loved the second chance angle, and the romance has some really sweet moments. Justice and Liam have good chemistry and they definitely have some spice. I also loved that they get past their problems pretty quickly and are honest with each other about their feelings. I also enjoyed the stalker angle; it actually would've been great to have more of that. Entertaining listen.
This book had me mesmerized from the first page and I couldn't stop reading. I loved seeing these two worlds come together. These two authors are two of the best and it was proved throughout this book. Liam and Justice will take you on a wild ride. Their push and pull has electricity flowing between them. I loved every page of this book and I can't wait for the next. Absolutely recommend this to everyone!
