Timing is everything and for college students, Lacey Winston and Nathan Wells, unfortunately, it's usually never in their favor.
Being the youngest Winston, and having her brother Mike, as a great role model, comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Loyalty is high on the list of Winston family values but for Lacey, it tends to skew her perception of happiness.
Lacey's shaky long-term relationship with her on again off again boyfriend, Greg, who is headed to the NFL, is continuously being tested, but it seems that Nathan, his teammate, is more than willing to suit up and get in the game to win Lacey's heart. Constant flags are thrown at their attempts at a connection and sends them both on a path of emotional ups and downs that neither of them is certain they can endure.
Join Lacey and Nate on this final installment of the Chance Series. Along with Zoe, West, Mike, and Kelise, as they all once again, face their own relationship obstacles. See what transpires when love and life happen By Chance & when a Chance Taken results in a Chance Given.
*** This book is and can be read as a standalone however, also reading the previous books By Chance and Chance Taken in the series is highly recommended ***
Diana W. hails from the city of gumbo, Mardi Gras, and the WhoDat nation. She writes about love and the imperfect ways we find it. Her stories of black love are down to earth and full of comedy. When she's not writing, she's in the kitchen baking cookies for her home bakery, The Cookie Catalog.
This was such a sweet story, with a bunch of couples, a bunch a black love and a lot of happily ever afters. I'll be honest and say that I didn't remember the other stories in this series, but bits and pieces started coming back as I read more and more.
I enjoyed their journeys, their triumphs, the setbacks and come ups! Looking forward to finding out more about JD and Tory if the author decides to continue with the series.
While a lot of the decisions made by the characters were suspect AF, if handled properly they make for a compelling story, which the author has done. Also this writer DEFINITELY knows what a brother likes to see in a woman physically FOR REAL!!!! But where the white wimmens at?!?!?!😂🔥🤣🔥😂🔥🤣🔥
There was so much drama in this story and I loved it! Loved Nathan and Lacey! I just felt bad for them at times. There was always something or someone in their way, but they always found their way back to each other. I'm glad they finally got their happy every after. I despised Greg he was such a manipulator and jerk. He deserves everything he gets! I also loved catching up on Zoe and West, I'm so glad they worked through their problems. I'm glad Kelise and Mike finally got it together. They both were hilarious, they kept me laughing. Loved JD, he was a great friend to both Nathan and Lacey. I'm glad he found love as well. Hate that the story had to end.
This one second best one the first one I was the best story but I loved all the stories great characters and awesome storyline. This series definitely made you laugh hearty ,cry and sad at the same time but most definitely brought a lot of love. Definitely take a chance on this series you won't be disappointed!
I loved this book. I have been following this series since it started and there is no way i would have been able to follow this story without reading the 2 books before it. No way could it be a standalone. But i loved it more because of the other 2 books.
I would love to see what happens with Jupiter and Tory (hint hint).
I went back and re-read books one and two before diving into this one and I am glad that I did. This books was a great conclusion to the series. It was liking getting three, almost four stories in one. I just wish there was more to Lacey and Nathan’s story because as soon as their truths were revealed, the book was ending.
Wow I've been with this series from Book 1 and each edition had gotten better and better, the relationships are so relatable, the ups and downs, the romance and love shines through! One of the BEST series I've read in a long time...but on a side note...I need more about JD and Tory please...LOL!
After dangling from a cliff from the previous installment of the Chance series, I have to give up major props for Nathan & Lacey's story. Adding West, Zoe, Kel and Mike was just the topping on the cake for me! Twists and turns kept me wanting more. Loved this book!!
I loved this series. It was filled with all my favorite things I look for in a good book. Drama, comedy, action and romance. I loved me some Mike and Kels. Don't let me forget the setting, I love everything about New Orleans. I hate that the series is over but I loved the way it ended.
Omgeeee! What a roller coaster thrill ride! Lacey and Nathan soo sorry what they endured but ooh so happy they recovered! West and Zoe omgee that was priceless!!! But to catch up with Mike and Kelise , now that was awesome!!! This book will not disappoint! Icing on cake was JD and Tory😍☺️👍🏾😘 finally Greg got his comeuppance 👍🏾🙋🏽👏🏾
I’m ready for so much more! The Chance Series are the first stories I’ve read by Diana W but will not be my last! Nathan and Lacey! Not to mention Zoe and West, Kelise and Mike... Love, drama, laughter, and did I mention love? Can’t wait to delve into the next masterpiece.
Lacey and Nate went through alot to get their happy ending. I'm glad because Greg didn't deserve her. It was hearing from the rest of the family as well. I hope Tory and JD get their story next. Great job as always.
I loved it which wasn’t a shocker: like 4 chapters were repeated so that made me slightly salty! Other than that, greatness. I wish we could’ve saw more about JD and Torrey
This was a great way to wrap up all of the couples’ stories. I absolutely loved Nate and Lacey and the way their story ended. I am not usually a fan of so many points of view, however, in this case, it worked well to wrap the series up.
Diana gave readers another well-told,funny as hell story about getting a chance to be with your true love. Even a few years apart did not lessen the love between the hero and the heroine. The story was simply amazing!
Great HEA! Whew, it’s been a long time coming for NaCey! Thought they would never get there. Although there were a lot of outside forces trying to intervene. Love prevail! Read it, you won’t be disappointed.
This was soooo good. I love the way this author writes. It's the perfect balance or fictional love and real life situations. The love is always so pure and unfiltered. I enjoyed Chance Given. The love of the couple's gave me joy. That's always great.
Good series. I'm glad Lacey got her happy ending. I was expecting more from Zoe's story, why did she run off the way she did? The beginning was kind of slow but picked up nicely in the middle. The paternity, I pretty much had figured that out. Overall, good read.
I absolutely loved the series. The nuances of the characters were so authentic to me. Sometimes you don't get your happily ever after right away. It may take 5 years- and that is real life. And sometimes karma catches up with you like a dirty hooker- Greg!
Read all 3 books back to back in a week. I loved getting to know all the main characters - good character development. Your are on my list to read more of your books.
Ohhhhhh this series!!!!!!! The drama never stops and its so full of life. Well told story with very entertaining characters and situations!!!!! This book brought closure to the entire cast. Diana did bot disappoint or leave anything incomplete.
NaCey is definitely my favorite couple of the Chance series. I love to see karma hit this whindeserve it and Greg got his fair share. I love that we got updates on Mike & Kel, Zo & West and a glimpse at Tory and J.D. My first series by this author and I’m a sure fan!
Truly enjoyed this series, wish 3 was out sooner so I had to reread series. Advise you to read all 3 together so you will know how theses people are connected.
This book did not disappoint at all! I like how we got updates on everyone. I freaking despise Greg and was so happy he got his due justice! Great great book ❤️❤️❤️
This is a true romance series. I fell in love with four stoogies, Mike, West, Nathan, and JD. There were some curve balls, but I loved it overall. I couldn't stop reading.
