Max Iver is not only rich, powerful, and ridiculously sexy, he is also my company's newest client... and last night I got really, really drunk and shared my darkest secret with him.

I told him I need a daddy, and now he's going to give me what I need, whether I like it or not.

He's going to be my daddy. He's going to take care of me, make rules for me, and spank me when I disobey. And though I'm terrified to admit it, deep down I know that soon I'm going to be begging for him to strip me bare and teach me what happens to bad little girls.

Publisher's Note: Big Daddy is a stand-alone novel which is the first book in the Dark Daddy Doms series. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

Ava Sinclair

Ava Sinclair is a best-selling Amazon romance author who caters to readers who appreciate a plot driven book where the steamy sex complements the story, rather than overshadowing it.

A hopeless bibliophile, Ava avidly reads across multiple genres, and this is reflected in her varied body of work that spans contemporary, medieval fantasy, western, historical, time travel and sci-fi. She especially enjoys world-building and crafting interesting and relatable characters.

Because her books feature graphic sex and elements of power exchange, she gently cautions her readers to take her work for what it is – delightful, sexy escapism.

Ava lives in southern Virginia in a farmhouse tucked away on a wooded hilltop. The first thing she did after moving in was to rip out the dining room and turn it into a library/office. This is where she spends most of her days, writing and being ignored by her cats. When she’s not working, she enjoys roaming the woods around her house, or seeking the advice of Lucius, her Eagle Owl.

I didn't really like this book. Since reading my last DD/lg book, I have been doing a lot of research on the topic and this book did not portray the kink in a good lighting. It made the book highly not enjoyable and I am honestly surprised I finished it.

Jill- I felt bad for Jill. She grew up in an unhealthy environment and she was struggling to make it through life. At the beginning of this book, she is a borderline alcoholic and masking her pain by drinking. I liked her as a character and I am glad that she learned to take responsibility for her actions and found someone that truly cared about her.

Max- Max was my main problem with this book. As mentioned above, I have recently spent some time trying to educate myself on DD/lg and the power exchange that comes with it. With all of this research, I have learned when the Daddy Dom is abusing his power and I felt like Max was. He manipulated Jill into doing things, neglected to make her feel safe, and he would make her feel guilty when she questioned things. This is not a healthy DD/lg relationship and it severly took away from my enjoyment of the book.

What I Liked- I liked the message that the author was trying to send as far as Jill's background and as far as the progression of her character goes. That's about it.

What I Didn't Like- I didn't like Max (as mentioned above) and I did not like how he treated Jill. I also didn't really like the progression of their story and I felt like it was entirely too rushed and almost came off insta-lovey.

Overall, this was just not the book for me.

WHAT DO I WANT? TO BE TAKEN CARE OF.

Once again, Ms. Ava Sinclair spins a beautiful tale of hope, redemption, and new beginnings for a lost young woman who was cheated out of a happy childhood. The story has a great cast of characters, plenty of angst, secrets, revelations, honest conversations, and a chance for a happy future.

Jill Stafford is her own worst enemy and guilty of self-sabotage and heading down the path of her mother by over-drinking and blacking out. She has lost several jobs but seems to be doing well where she is at until a client isn’t happy and she storms out of a meeting in a snit.

Max Ivers is a self-made businessman. Having excelled in football, earning himself his college scholarships, and then going to the pros until an injury ending his career. Being a wise man, he studied business and invested well, and now has his own investment firm. When it comes to his personal life, he is secretive and aloof.

The plot will have Max at Brinkman Ad agency where Jill is to present an ad campaign for his business. But he doesn’t like what he sees and states he hates it, and Jill leaves the meeting in a tiff. Before she is escorted off the property, he tells her to check her phone. It seems in her latest drunken stupor, they had an encounter, and now he has a new offer for her.

Jill finds herself without a job, and now her friend is over her latest reckless behavior and kicking her out. When Max offers her a new lease on life, will she take it? Can she submit to his Daddy Dom persona and discipline? He has it all recorded that she asks him to be her Daddy, and now that is exactly what he wants to do.

“Just as I feared, I lose it, my sobs becoming infantile bawls. They are the cries of a helpless little girl, a bad little girl finally getting the spanking she had coming for so many years. They are also the cry of a woman who’s hit rock bottom, a woman who knows she can’t fix what’s wrong on her own.”

“Warmth washes over me. I feel the lure of what he’s offering. Protection. Safety. He’s not asking me if I want it. He’s taking it out of my hands.”

“Who do you belong to? Who takes care of you, protects you? Who keeps you safe?”

The story is a Daddy Dom little girl tale of dominance and submission. It is a journey of two people into a D/s lifestyle of trust, nurturing, control, and healing, not just for Jill, but also for Max. There are some spankings and explicit sex scenes.

Ooooh! I really like this book. Like, finished as soon as possible, loved the book! Being my first book by this author, i wasn't sure what to expect so i went in hoping for everything and nothing, and i'm so glad i did because it drew me in like nobody's business.

So let's get the awkward part out in the open: yes, these characters have Daddy issues. Yes, Jill has always wanted a Daddy and Max is more than happy to provide the father figure for her. But their relationship was so much more than that. It was about providing stability, helping with growth, support and being able to deal with situations differently in a positive way. This author managed to convey a beautiful story albeit the hold ups that many i'm sure will have, but you know what? It's a very good outlook on what this type of relationship is all about. I enjoyed watching these two grow together and see how they made each other better. I'm quite sure that this won't be my last book by this author and i truly look forward to reading more from her in the future.

It is an emotional story where Jill, who had a difficult childhood, fails at her job and lose it. Being crushed and without money she accepts the financial aid of a businessman who rescued her from a drunken evening at a club while she confessed her desire for a Daddy. They will enter a d/s relationship of a dd-lg type incorporating well deserved discipline for Jill to help her realize that if his Daddy is strict it is because he loves her and will take care of her. The sex is hot and the characters are interesting. Very good.

I love Ava Sinclair. Quick Erotic Read. Would have liked more development of Max’s character. It was very sketched out at the end by would’ve liked more.

There were some parts I enjoyed but it is short so everything felt like it was resolved or happened VERY quickly. Since there wasn't really any build up and everything progressed fast I didn't feel any connection to them as a couple. Even though they jumped into a d/s relationship immediately I did like that it wasn't sexual at first. The sex scenes were pretty good though there aren't many of them so if you're looking for a lot of smut I wouldn't suggest this one.

Max- We didn't really get to know him besides the big information dump we got towards the end so that was disappointing. Throughout the book, he would keep forcing Jill to open up about herself or her past but would ignore it or get angry if she asked anything about him. He did though for the most part feel like he cared for Jill.

Jill- I felt terrible for Jill and if this was real life I would say she needs therapy, not a ddlg relationship. BDSM isn't going to magically solve her issues but this is fantasy so I tried not to get too caught up in that. She did have a moment where she stood up for herself and called Max out on his behavior which was one of my favorite parts and kind of wished that was explored more.

I wanted to mention some of the aspects I felt were problematic just to give fair warning to some who might find one of them a dealbreaker.

This is a good book by Ava Sinclair,,,, I have not been disappointed in her work yet,,,,

This is a story about Jill,,,, Jill is kinda a screw up,,,, she likes to party and lay around and as she does this,,,, her best friend and roommate Becky has NOT been impressed with Jill as of recently,,, she can't seem to hold a job, as then that leaves the responsibility for the bills onto Becky,, until Jill gets another job and starts paying her share again,,,, she has been warned by Becky that if she looses another job, this whole roommate thing is done,,,, Becky can't afford to let Jill skate again,,,,,

Max Inger is a man of action,,,, he's an Alpha male with lots of money,,,, and he wants to help Jill,,,, he tells Jill that he's going to help move Jill into his penthouse and tells her,,, his house, his rules and if these don't work for her,,,, tough,,,, she literally has no where else to go,,,, so,,, of course Jill, being Jill, has to test him on this,,,, he finds her at home, she has already broken the rules and was about to do one more time, when he walks thru the door,,,, and then the punishments begin,,, and after they begin,,,, she finds out she REALLY kinda likes the punjshments,,, now, if she can get him to finish the punishment for her pleasure, she wouldnt mind that, at a bit, actually she would be very grateful and appreciative if he would ,,,, but,,, of course,,, these are HIS rules,,,,

I really rather enjoyed this book,,,, I think Ava Sinclair is an amazing author and Im happy that I have found a new author,,, and in my opinion, you should maybe go out and one click this one,,,,

Jillian Stafford does not have her life together. She parties too much, has a roommate that is about down dealing with the fact she acts as Jill’s babysitter at times and can’t hold down a job. But, all that is going to change, as long as Jill can give herself a hard reset after her last black-out bender and nail her advertising presentation for the Iver group.

When Max Iver finds himself facing a very drunk Jill at a private club, his protective instincts are kicked into high gear. When the alcohol has her spilling her deepest and darkest desires to him, he knows immediately what she needs. He also knows he is the man to give it to her.

When Jill’s presentation crashes and she finds herself jobless and homeless, she has no choice but to accept the offer being extended by the man who took care of her when she blacked out last weekend. Max knows she needs and wants a Daddy and he is more than willing to fill that role for her as a dominant. Will Jill be able to accept herself and give in to what she needs to be successful? Will Max be able to accept all that Jill has to offer him or will his dominant ways be too much for her to handle?

Big Daddy was an unexpected surprise. I figured it would be a bit dark, fun and flirty. I was happily surprised by the depth of both the plot and characters. Both Jill and Max come from rotten childhoods and it was interesting to see how they both shaped them into the people they are today. Both have Daddy issues and this unique set of circumstances really allows for them to fill a need they are both missing for one another. The story is fast moving and has a very satisfying ending. 4 stars!

Not my first rodeo with Ava Sinclair books and I have to admit I'm happy because she keep getting better and better.

Jillian is a damaged girl with a sad past. Alcoholic mother, absent father and having to cope with all that... let's just say she didn't cope in a healthy way. I felt sympathy for her at some points and I was even angry at some of the people around her but I sat down and saw the complete picture, just like Max made her see. I really liked her character, although a little strange because she was in the middle of her recovery when she found some strength to push Max.

Max is a damaged boy with a broken past. Mother died, father send him away and then betrayed him. He had to learn to live on his own, not depending on anybody. It takes a tool on some bodies soul to live like that, but he made it. He's rich and successful and he wants Jillian.

I have to admit I think Ava Sinclair did a lovely job with the story line of this book. I believe that I would not have liked it so much if she didn't dig into the characters backgrounds like she did and show me a realistic, relatable person on the page. I can add to this that I have a fondness for D/s lifestyle characters and this fits for me.

That being said, it was a little too fantastic. From the way the meet until the end, there was a little mist of something that kept reminding me that this was a fantasy, not reality. I do read to escape life but I also like to read characters that I could kind of see in real life. Weird, but that's me.

Ava Sinclair has written several books that I have read and reread. for me, that's a huge compliment. This one isn't one that I've reread, but that's a yet, not a never will.

Jill is a young woman who has had lots of issues. She's lost jobs and is on the verge of losing her living situation. She drinks way too much and then parties too hard and doesn't remember what she did. Right now, she's looking forward to a huge presentation that she's been working on at her job.

Max Iver is a businessman who came into the advertising agency where Jill works. He hired the agency to do a new ad campaign for his company. He wanted something that would attract young people. So, when he saw an ad that seemed to be a plea for a daddy, he turned it down. Jill, who had been working on it, went crazy, started screaming and yelling, and walked out.

This is when Jill's life really starts to fall apart.

I really liked this story. Max takes really good care of Jill, not only loving her, but he also teaches her and pushes her to do better. I liked that. He has his own secrets and demons and Jill helped him to fight those and to become better too. That's one of my favorite things in any story, when the main characters push each other to become better, not just one of them pushing the other. A real relationship works that way and for a story to portray that really makes me enjoy the story and believe in that relationship even more.

A beautiful story of healing from wounded children.

Jill Stafford's father walked out on her and her mother when she was four. Her mother was an alcoholic and didn't give Jill loving attention, except in the kitchen where both loved to cook. Jill put herself through college, but has trouble keeping a job. Her current position is a advertising executive where she is in charge of the ad campaign for Max Iver's company.

Max Iver is a wealthy ex-pro football player. He built a financial company that is doing extremely well. He rejected her campaign saying the younger character was looking for his daddy. Jill has a tantrum and is fired. Max tries to save her job, but it is too late.

The weekend before, Max had picked Jill up after she showed up at his private club drunk. He filmed an interview with her where he exposed her childhood neglect. She triggered his daddy dom, and he must have her.

Jobless Jill is kicked out of the apartment she shared with her college roommate. Max texts her sending half of the video and telling her to come to his penthouse. He offers to help her financially and take over life to help her become stronger. He helps her explore her interest in photography, hires a French tutor, and buys her high fashion clothes --- though some are for a pre-teen.

Jill falls in love with Daddy Max, but knows nothing of his past, which makes her insecure. As Jill investigates the mystery of Max, she finds she can heal him as well.

The story starts off with Jill waking up in her bed with no memory of how she got
there, not knowing who could have folded her jacket and tucked her shoes away.
Jill goes to work on Monday to give her presentation to a client her company wants to win
an advertising contract with. She didn't get what the client wanted and when told
that, she loses her cool and stomps off. Jill is fired. Now, suddenly she is confronted
from all sides, her room mate/friend is at the end of her patience with Jill and a man
she hardly knows, reveals all that he actually does know about her!
Jill is faced with a proposition from the man and leaves him to think about the options
he has given her. Jill goes home and her room mate tells her she must leave by tomorrow!
Thus starts a whole new life and many lessons to learn from the dominant Daddy figure.
Nothing in life is easy, but Jill must learn to give what she must in order to take what she
needs.
I loved the relationship and affection, true caring that Jill is getting to experience with her Daddy,
while learning that she does deserve love and affection.
Max, as her Daddy, is all you could wish for, he is what a woman's fantasies are all about.
If you like reading about a loving caretaker Daddy and a woman in need of nurturing from
said man, then this is the book for you!

Big Daddy is a delicious daddy dom romance from author Ava Sinclair. Most books portray this type of age play for fetish purposes only, which I adore. However, I absolutely love how Ms. Sinclair wrote Max and Jill’s scenes with fetish desires as well as adding the element of need.

When the book begins, Jill wakes up after a night of hard drinking. She realizes that she blacked out and doesn’t remember the night before. Sadly, this is not the first time it has happened, and it results in some big consequence. Jill grew up with an alcoholic mother and a father who left when she was 4 years old. She is an adult now but is making a lot of poor decisions and on the path to being like her mom. Max is a wealthy businessman who is retired from playing football. After witnessing Jill drunk and making a fool of herself, Max decides to offer her a deal. Will she take his offer?

A definite add to your TBR list!

Ava writes Daddy Dom books perfectly and Big Daddy showcases this. Reason I say this is the story is well written, it has great character chemistry and a fabulous plot that had me engaged from the first page until the very end. There were so many emotions that ran thru this story; it was literally an emotional rollercoaster. I was feeling uncertain, sad, fear, betrayal, excitement, passion, and love. I literally was on the edge of my seat with all the feelings this story brought forth. Jill and Max make a great couple and I felt the chemistry between this from the start. Max is an alpha male but he is an alpha male with a heart. I loved how Dom he was and the fact he was the man who knew what Jill needed. If you like Daddy Dom stories, then you will love this one for I highly recommend this book.

I received a copy from the author and I voluntarily reviewed this book.

It's a well told tale of a girl that admits her deepest, darkest secret while totally obliterated and doesn't remember doing it. Jill has many past issues and struggles to cope with day to day life. Max was the recipient of the deepest, darkest secret and when Jill really screws up, Max steps in to help her try to straighten out her life.

At first these two struggle - one trying to help and the other still trying to rebel but slowly the relationship changes. Max's past comes back to pay a visit and add a little extra tension to the story. There are spankings and sexual scenes but the story is more than the titillation, as it shows the growth of a girl with a trouble past and a man still running from his and her assistance with bringing closure to his past.

It's a really good story but my favorite Ava Sinclair is still Big Beautiful Little.

The blurb, the teasers, and the promise of an intense, sexy Daddy Dom story were all present when I practically begged for this arc. Sadly, 20% in and I was regretting it.

I forced myself to finish this story, just in case it picked up, but for me; it didn’t.

The story was kind of all over the place. Jill was borderline eye-rolling annoying and there was next to no chemistry between the Jill and Max, no to mention the sex scenes came across as extremely rushed and just thrown in there for the sake of it.

The cheesy dig at Fifty Shades made me crack up laughing because well, it’s true, but this is no better, being in the lifestyle over 13 years it was insulting to say the least.

Such a shame, there was so much potential.

I'm not going to bore you guys, if you’re looking for a super hot Daddy Dom book that runs true to the lifestyle, this is not it.

I will say though the spankings were pretty hot, they were the saving grace ;)

Jill wakes up in her apartment not knowing how she got home or what happened the night before. When she goes to work on Monday to give a presentation she totally bombs the presentation because the client hates it. She blows up and is rude to the client and in return she is fired. The client tells her to check her text messages before she leaves. Max sends her a text along with a very telling video in which she sees part of what happened on the night she can't remember. Max makes her an offer she can't refuse especially since she also got kicked out of her apartment by her roommate. Grab this book today and see if Jill takes Max up on his offer and wether or not he can give her what she needs. Loved it and definitely recommend it.

OMG one again, Ava, you have out done yourself. This was one heck of an emotional roller coaster. I felt: sad, uncertain, excitement, fear, betrayal, and love. I was all over the place with emotion. I wanted to cry and then scream. When you first read about Jill, you done know if you should feel sorry for her or slap her to wake her up. She just was a total mess. And Max, his secrets were driving me nuts. I had a pretty good idea as to what Max was feeling and where we were headed. I got it right too. But these two are so connected in their lives in so many ways. I just couldn’t put the book down and had to read it through. You did a great job with this one. I loved it.

I received this as an ARC, and LOVE IT.

Jill is struggling to get her life on the right track. One night of drinks and she is seeking out Max Iver and confessing all her dirty little secrets to him. She doesn't remember a thing, not even when she faces him the next day at work and he says her best is her worst. Max offers her a life line.

Faced with no job, no home she takes Max up on his offer. He'll be her daddy. He shows her the video where confesses that she wants him to be her daddy. Max explains there are consequences and love for him being her daddy. She'll need to trust him to guide her and teach her what she needs and wants.

Yeah, this book is dirty and kinky. Max is a Daddy Dom, he likes to nurture, spank, and screw. He's a perfect fit for Jill, who is searching for her Daddy.

Wow

Wasn’t expecting such an emotional read. Rarely ever does a book make me cry. This one took me by surprise. I was hooked from the first page. I will say if you’re sensitive to daddy issues then this isn’t for you. With that being said this book was well written with a fantastic plot and two characters that I absolutely loved from the beginning. Jill took a bit longer, but she reminded me a little bit of myself as well as others I’ve met in my life. I could relate to her. This book is nothing like the other hard core Alpha “daddy” books where the guys a dick and the girl is a Barbie. These characters had depth. Flaws and mental hang ups. I couldn’t put this book down. Highly recommend.

Ava does Daddy Dom books to perfection, Big Daddy is another example of this perfection. It is well written, it has good character chemistry, a great plot that had me engaged from the first page until the very end. It was a one sitting read because I couldn't put it down.

The struggles of both the main characters faced drew me in, I felt for Jill, her childhood was a mess than Max's strength for them both was evident but so was his inner battle. It was a great combination. I loved the combination of emotions, hot sex, tender moments and a great story. I cannot wait to see what Ava comes up with next.

Enjoyable

There are a few errors noted but the writing flows smoothly. I was surprised to see the subject of Daddy kink handled in such a way. As written, it wasn't kink so much but a useful method of dealing with tragedies from the pasts of the hero and heroine. I liked the personalities of both, even though for a short time they were very unlikable, the heroine more so than the hero. Things changed quickly as this is a short story and came to a very satisfying conclusion. I really wish it were longer. There was so much more that could have been included and would have heightened the enjoyment. Too bad for a lost opportunity.

Jill Stafford has a drinking problem, one that she’s not ready to accept... until she loses her job, and her room mate kicks her out because she’s had enough of Jill’s issues.

Max Iver, wealthy business man, and former athlete meets Jill on her big night out when she’s getting blind drunk; he sees a lost little girl in her and Wants to be her Daddy Dom, but can it work when she’s hell bent on breaking his rules? Or will she submit?

This book was ok... predictable... but that doesn’t always mean it’s a bad thing. For me it lacked chemistry between the two lead characters, it lacked depth, it had all the right ingredients, it just wasn’t cooked to perfection for me.

It took me ages to complete this book… for some reason the story just doesn’t seem to be appealing to me.

Well for me i felt that there’s no chemical reaction between Max and Jill… maybe is the plot got shorten? Or me didn’t read thoroughly enough and missed some plot.

It just felt like Jill in trouble and Max “saved” her by just giving her place to stay and mentioned he is also into kink and she needs someone to take care. Then disappeared few days and skipped somehow they spend time together, then only appeared again when Jill is in trouble.

The spicy scene… sigh… not single once I felt spicy enough to make me hot..

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Ava Sinclair has such a way with her writing when it comes to daddy Doms. The characters and their chemistry is perfect and makes you wish you where Jill and Max is your dom. He has great strength which not only helps Jill through her messed up past but it also helps him with his past. I love the emotion, hot sex and the great tenderness they have with each other. I want more please.

This is a wonderful story of restoration and love. A superbly written dark Romance that had me hooked from page one. The story is filled with drama, love, lust, romance and a HEA. Max is an alpha male but there was a vulnerability to him as well which is different to other Daddy stories I've read. If you like Daddy Dom stories, I recommend this book. It is a hot read, leaving you wanting more. Definitely a must read.
