DNF 32% - boring

I could blame that on Sariah and not being able to keep her hands to herself, not that I’m complaining.

Now, I was living in a tiny, two-bedroom apartment with my best friend, Kenndrix. She was an aspiring screenplay writer. She was as beautiful as she was shy.

One-minute Ace and I are all over each other, and the next he just walks away. He won’t even look at me. It’s obvious that he regrets it already.

“I don’t do relationships Kynlee, I don’t do attachments or feelings or any of that other stuff girls want.”

We get dressed in silence, but I reach over and button the halter at the back of her neck then lean forward and press a kiss between her exposed shoulder blades.

He told me that my body was perfect and he didn’t think I should risk my health just to be a dumb model. His words had stung. I hated when people told me my dreams were dumb.

However, I had not planned to see Ace pull up with some red headed whore in my seat! My jealousy was rearing its ugly head. Seeing Tara all over Ace made me want to be sick.

Enzo and I have been at JamesTown for about an hour when Ace finally walks through the front door with Tara on his heels.

I hear Tara’s laugh and it’s like a bucket of ice-cold water. I push Ace away from me and glare up at him.

When I had looked out the peep hole and saw her standing there, I had almost went back to my bedroom. She had never seen my place and I wasn’t sure I wanted her to.

I do love her but I can never say that out loud. I can never admit that to anyone, not even her because the minute I do I give her the power to destroy me, to destroy my life.

Two people young and insecure in love. Both Ace and Kynlee are broken in different ways. Kynlee is insecure and seeks attention. It may not be in a way some people agree with, but it’s her dream. She thinks it will get her love and acceptance. Ace lost his mom at a you g she. It was traumatic for him. He is scared to live outside his family. When they reconnect after high school they both are not ready for their relationship. They pretend it’s casual. Even as individuals they realize it’s more but keep it silent. There is a lot of back and forth, outside interference and to make this an interesting trip to HEA. Good character growth

As much as I tried not to read this book through the night, I couldn’t stop!
I first met the James brothers in book 3, I read it as a stand-alone and I was instantly hooked! I fall in love with each brother over and over!
This is Ace and Kynlee’s story and they break me and heal me all the time within these pages!

Time to fall in love with another James brother! This is book two in the James Brothers series. This book is about Ace. He is guarded and afraid of love. The death of his mother when he was younger has forced him to throw a wall up. He's that rebel bad boy that women love to swoon over. But there is only one woman he cares about, Kynlee. From the moment he sees her she has an effect on him. He means for them just to be friends with benefits. But as time goes on she is so much more. But he cant say the four letter word, love. Kynlee is fine with how life is with Ace, she thinks. She has a need for attention. Her goal is to be a model and playboy bunny despite her family disowning her for it and Ace's negative opinion about it. As things happen to both of them they don't expect they start to question what they really want and what their insecurities are doing to each other.
I loved Ace and Kynlee! Ace is the bad boy I love. Tattoo artist, rocker, racer and a secret softy. Kynlee is a badass woman that all other woman want to be like. She looks confident, beautiful and just exudes "cool." These two are a perfect match. The patience they have with each other is amazing. I don't think I could go a year without the words "i love you" but they have a bond that doesn't need words. That's true love.
Scenes from book one are in this book as the stories intertwine. That was so much fun to read. And I can't wait to read more in this series. This could be a standalone but I highly suggest reading them in order. And this series is a must read. Especially this book. Fall in love with Ace with me and wish Kynlee was your best friend.

Ace was nine when is mother died. She was his star and he loved her so much. Loosing her broke him in that part. He never wants to love somebody again.
But Kynlee is different as his normal hookups, she is a stayer and what they have looks like a relationship, but they never say the words I love you.
Kynlee herself has a troubled past too, making her needing to be a model.

Together they are great, but sparks fly in hot moment, but also when they argue.
When Enzo shows up, a person who was a Ace wannabee and now he wants Kynlee, it doesn't come easier.

Will they come out of this together okay? Or do they need a wake up call?
For that you need to read the book, if you are into a good story with fireworks, car racing and tattoo artists this is your book.
I liked it a lot, looking forward to read the next book in this series.

This is the second book in the James Brothers series and it picked up right where Petal to the Medal left off!

These brothers are hotter than hot and they each have something they are dealing with.

For Ace it’s the ability to love. He not broken beyond repair but he is broken to the point where he thinks he is incapable of love. It takes two acts to convince I’m otherwise.

Kynlee was just a broken. She came from a family that didn’t always see eye to eye with her making her actions speak louder than her words. I’m the end, it was all worth it and she finally realized more than she expected. She had guts, was strong, and didn’t give up and I loved that about her.

The ending made my heart soar!

Now for the next James brother in the series.

I love the drama and fiery relationships of the James Brothers series. Ace is an insecure man who can’t trust anyone not blood related to him. Kynlee is an insecure woman who needs attention to feel any kind of importance. These two crash together over and over while slowly learning what they need from each other to come together completely. Ace has a past that affects how he deals with relationship insecurities and Kynlee has a past that causes her to make misstep after misstep with Ace. Through the book you see two people who love each other but don’t know how to make it work. No spoilers but the ending is a HEA in a more realistic light. I love this series and I can’t recommend it enough!

This was a good story. Kynlee and Ace had a hot connection but frustratingly many things get in the way of them being together properly.. he’s sh*t scared of love and can’t open up to her properly.. she makes some crappy decisions and gives someone the opportunity to come between them..etc
I liked how this one went back into their past and covers things that happened in the first book from their point of view - like when he got attacked.
Sex scenes are skipped over in this one you only get them kissing which is a bit tame but that’s just my preference.

Ace is complicated. He feels, but the fear of losing love traps him. Kynlee has dreams of being a model, but is it her passion or simply a need for attention?

What was most compelling about this story is the emotional ride these characters go on. The answer is not as simple as just being together. Each character has to really figure it out on a personal level before any more is possible.

Breaking the Limits is book 2 in the James Brothers series. You can read it as a stand alone. I, however, liked having the background of reading Pedal to the Medal first as scenarios and characters are mentioned in book 2.

This book pulled me in at the beginning and I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen next between Ace and Kynlee. As with the first book, there is definitely a depth to the characters and their relationships.

Ace was deeply affected by his mother’s death when he was young and he has vowed never to never have a serious relationship – that is until he’s met his match with Kynlee. She definitely knows how to push his buttons and before he knows it, he’s hooked. I loved how there were some scenes from the first book that were included and told from Ace/Kynlee’s point of view. I’m looking forward to the next story in this series.

I won’t lie. I wanted to slap both Ace and Kynlee at times while reading their story. They were both stupid at times, both impulsive and driven by insecurities or fear, and both so very realistic for their age and experiences. Kynlee had a few epiphanies earlier on than Ace, and her last one made me want to cry. As for Ace, he had a couple himself, but he didn’t want to learn from them until it was almost too late.

This book was raw and painful on the heart. Ace and Kynlee are people who love so completely, yet are afraid to admit it, even though everyone else easily sees it. Their road to maturity was definitely a bumpy one, but it was absolutely worth the read!

How can two people frustrate you so much and cause you to cheer them on at the same time?? Ace and Kynlee are both afraid of commitment but are drawn to each other anyway. Acye has a hard shell to break through as he still grieves the death of his mother. You can't help but want to hold him. At the same time he uses that as an excuse to not get close to people, and you want to shake him. While this can be read as a stand alone, you really need to read the first book so you understand some of the back story. I am loving this series!!!!

We have Ace and two opposites. Ace is in his own world and he uses music and woman to drown out everything else. Then here is Kynlee who likes a lot of attention and her goal is to become a playmate. She had always wanted Ace's attention, but she had moved and didn't see him but now that she is back she still wants him. They will frustrate you and root for them at the same time. They have obstacles against them, some by memories some in the form of other people. Grab a copy and Enjoy!

Well written story with a nice storyline and plot. I like that the characters and how they develop. Amazing chemistry.
A passionate and emotional read with twists. Enjoyable and recommendable.

It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters.
Two people that have been hurt and now scares away from relationships and commitment. But what happens when the attraction is too much to leave? Can they heal each other and make it work?
Captivating and enjoyable read.

When I first read Pedal to the Metal I thought it would be impossible for me to ever like another couple better. I was wrong! Ace and Kynlee are my favorite! I loved them. I loved this book. I was curious about Ace during Pedal to the Metal so I was excited when the author announced she'd be writing his story. I have to admit I thought that Ace would just be a bad boy jerk but there is so much more to his character than that.

I enjoyed Kynlee and Ace's story, even more, thank Pedal to the Metal, which I didn't think was possible. However, these two have such amazing chemistry that I couldn't put down the book. I wanted to see how this would turn out, again Stephanie had me on the edge of my seat to find out what happened with such relatable characters. I really love the way Stephanie writes, she creates a beautiful world that I love visiting time and time again.

Finally, Ace and Kinlee's story! Ace is a sweet yet troubled guy who falls for Kinlee, a badass in her own way, yet with insecurities you can't imagine a person like her having. Their story takes time and is full of ups and downs. In the end, they finally put some ghosts to rest and discover what is important to each other.

This was the second book in the series, but, most of the action takes place prior to events that happened in the first book. It wasn't until close to the end where things moved past the first book into new events. Author still needs to find a better editing service.

The story/plot was alright. With some editing, it could be good. It has potential, with a little bit of TLC, it could be much better.

Friends with benefits, no strings.....

Ace’s heart died with his mom. He didn’t have one to give Kynlee. But that’s fine with her, she didn’t want love. Her love was for attention, and she was going to get it. So their arrangement is fine. Until it isn’t. Someone wants to break them up. But are they really together anyway? Can Ace be enough for her? Can Kynlee revive his dead heart?

Bad boys, a band of brothers, an attention seeking girl, tattoos, and car races. Two insecure young adults who learn to grow and love one another in a way that works for them. Kynlee and Ace have their ups and downs and must learn what's most important to them... themselves or each other? One installment of the James Brothers and you'll be itching to read the rest of them!

I really enjoyed reading Breaking the Limits book two. This book contains fast cars, heartbreak, heartache, and love. Ace is so complicated, he doesn't want to love, he is afraid to get hurt. Kynlee had insecurities of not being good enough the way she is. Ace and Kynlee's story broke my heart, so many misunderstandings. They had their ups and downs. Couldn't put this book down. Highly recommend.

Another brother to fall in love with! These two characters are so addicting. Both with heartbreak and issues of the past and present and struggle with their relationship. Outside forces don't help euther. The writer takes us through all the ups and downs and we just love every bit of it because she makes us feel all the angst. Could not put it down!
