I only thought having the CIA watch my every move was hard. But that was until I met him.
Sander Soto.
Arrogant. Sarcastic. Ruthless. And possibly the hottest guy I have ever met.
All my friends want to date him. I want to kill him. And my boyfriend... well, he wants to be friends with him.
Things aren't going as planned anymore. But at least he's keeping me safe. Especially when I'm not sure who I can trust anymore.
East Raven Academy just got a whole lot more interesting.

Never Ever is book 2 in the East Raven Academy Series.
Book 1: Ever After

I'm Scarlett Haven. I write YA and NA books and I write a lot. My books are a fun mixture of romance, mystery, and now some paranormal too!

Besides writing, I also love to read anything I can get my hands on and I'm always drawn to the villain of the story. I am 29 years old and am married to the love of my life.

Never Ever was pretty good, there was a lot more action than in the first book. Still plenty of typical high school drama and people breaking up and getting back together every other day. There was a lot more happening as a whole though than in Ever After. More drama, more surprises, and a couple bombshells.

Phoenix is in even more danger than before so the Secret Service get her a bodyguard who works for a secret organization to protect her. If you’ve read The Spy Chronicles or The Princess of Spy School, you’ll recognize Sander Soto who is assigned to protect Phoenix. I loved his character from the other books so I was excited that this series would include him.

Sander is exactly the same as he was in The Princess of Spy School. Sarcastic, impulsive, and over protective. Him and Phoenix are kind of perfect for each other but they don’t get along when they first meet. Phoenix is still having issues with the love triangle from Ever After even though she chose Estaine.

Phoenix’s stepbrother Charlie starts attending East Raven with her also and stirs up plenty of his own drama. There’s a lot of scenes with the two of them and it’s nice for Phoenix after she’s been apart from her whole family for so long now. The interactions between them are a lot of fun.

There are a few major developments in Never Ever and definitely more action than Ever After. The action ramps up throughout the story, it starts to take on a more intense feel. The focus of the book though is still largely on a love triangle, it just changes between which guys Phoenix is confused about.

Never Ever is mainly a high school drama like the first book but with a larger side of tragedy and danger. Towards the end of the book, it starts to gain intensity and turn into more of a thriller. This story is still more relationship drama and unrequited love than anything else though. I enjoyed it, but if you’re looking for a true thriller, this is not it.

Wow, this book was ten times better than the previous. I’m glad we finally see someone who takes her safety seriously and has shown her to take her own safety more seriously. Not to mention I love Sander. They have great chemistry. Honestly I don’t really have much to say except that this book was just better. :)

Mistakes through out

I'm surprised I'm even giving this that many stars and the reason is because the story is amazing. This girl has gone through so much and yet she is handling it very well.
The mistakes seriously need to be fixed it is ruining the story.

Recommend 100% totally gripping book

Omg this series is getting explosive. Loved where the storyline went with this book. Was sad to see something bad happens to one of the guys, but there was lots of action to make up for it. 100% loved this book

Great book!

This book is full of drama from young love. :) The ending has a great lead up to the next book and what will happen with the story as a whole.
