I was a self-appointed bachelor and happy to have the title. Everyone thought it was time for me to settle down and find a nice girl. Well, no thank you. This cowboy wanted to stay clear of relationships. I wanted the freedom that came with no strings.

But what did I know? Nothing, apparently.

Everything changed when I looked into her green eyes; my world tilted when she smiled at me.

What was this feeling?

Whatever was happening had me losing my damn mind. I fumbled with my words. My body wasn't my own. I wanted her...desperately.

Was I ready to give up my bachelor days, or was this Irish girl simply an itch I needed scratched?

2 ⭐⭐ - Meh!
-------------------
MANWHORE +VIRGIN
-------------------
Stepping back, I smiled and she swayed a little.
“Holy crap. Best kiss of my life. You must have kissed a lot of women to get that damn good.”
I winked. “You could say that, darlin’. Glad to hear you liked it.”
Turning on her heels, she rushed back to the table where all her friends were laughing and whistling. I turned to see Amelia, Wade, and…fuck my life…Maebh. They stood at the opposite end of the bar, looking at me.

“Looking for another slut to kiss?” Amelia hissed. I jerked back like I’d been slapped in the face.
“What?” My sisters had never had a problem with my flirting habits before, so why was my baby sister giving me a hard time?

“Do you do this often?”
My question was like a slap to his face. He stepped back quickly, his hand pushing through his dark hair.
“I saw you kissing that girl, and I’ve seen you before bringing girls to a back room in your bar. I’m not like those women, Cord. I’m not going to spread me legs so you can shag me and then walk away. You don’t even act like you like me half the time.”

What in the hell is going on with me? I wasn’t the one-lady type of guy. I liked women. Lots of women. Seven days a week of women. I couldn’t honestly see me settling down with just one.

One of Mitchell’s friends said he’d overheard some girl at the bar say I had a golden dick after I fucked her.

And like that, she walked out of the room. I knew she’d heard rumors of my man-whoring ways. Hell, she’d even admitted to seeing me take women in the back of the bar, but for her to see that T-shirt did something to me. It was like we were bragging about all the women I’d fucked—and fucked—over the years.

The last time I was on a swing, Savannah Hughes was wrapped around me, fucking the shit out of me.

“Are you always so crude when describing sex?”
“Yes. Because that’s what I do, Maebh. I fuck.”

I was ruined.
Maebh O’Sullivan had just ruined me for other women…she’d ruined me forever.

I could count on my hand the women I’d gone down on.
Kylie Burks, my fuck buddy in high school and college, was the one I’d done it to the most. She’d taught me how to lick, when to suck, how many fingers to put inside.

“Use protection,” Tripp said sternly.
“What the hell, bro. I’ve never forgotten a condom.”
Tripp laughed. “Trust me, you’ll almost forget. Trust me.”
“No way. I’ve always housed the hose before I curl the toes.”
“What?”
“I cover my stump before I hump.”
“Jesus.”
Smiling, I kept going. “When they go into heat, I package my meat. I wrap it in foil before I check the oil.”
“Please stop.”
“No glove, no love.”

Right as I stepped up on the sidewalk, a familiar face was in front of me. My feet stopped instantly.
“Cord Parker! Oh, my God! I was just coming to the bar to say hi!”
Kylie Burks.
The only other woman I had ever had sex with more than three times, was standing in front of me. My eyes took her in. She had changed some, but she was still a beautiful woman. Not as beautiful as Maebh, but I certainly saw why I had no problems going back for more.
“Kylie, holy shit. What are you doing in Oak Springs?”

Cowboys and Angles continues in This Love by Kelly Elliott and oohhh it was sooo freaking good!!!

5 iScream "I love these Cowboys" Books Cones!!! I can not get enough of this bunch and I had such a wonderful afternoon reading This Love. It was sooo swoony and full of push and pull!!!

This Love was about Cord the bad boy, the boy with the reputation of one night stands. And then there is the lovely Maebh.. a beautiful Ireland girl. She is soo innocent, soo naïve. I just fell in love with her though. She may be my fav now..lol And to top it off, you gotta love a momma that loves to play matchmaker haha. It definitely makes for a Rom Com kind of a read!! I laughed me ass off at times...(read the book and you will know why I said ME) haha The only problem is, Cord is worried he was going to hurt her, he knows his bad boy was and truthfully, Maebh has reservations as well. She keeps hearing about how Cord loves the ladies and only hangs around for one night. But these two have such a huge pull to each other. So they decided to take a weekend break. Slow things down. But.....this is where that momma loves to get involved..soooo

Now you need to one click on release day. I can't tell you anything else..OMG each book I fall more and more for these Parker boys.

Ohh and one more thing..lol If you have been keeping up, you will get a glimpse of all of the family when reading This Love..it is one of my favorite things, when an author gives you snippets of the past characters and goodness This Love is full of the Parker family..freaking loved it!
Thank you for another great book Kelly!!!

This Love (Cowboys and Angels, #6) by Kelly Elliott

Maebh and Cord had me falling in love with love. This Love was the beginning of the end for my romantic heart. Elliott explores the angst of new love and the sweetness of finding strength in allowing the vulnerabilities to shine through. The Playboy was brought to his knees by a beautiful heart, that opened his eyes to what his life was missing. True love. Love is not about perfection. Love is accepting a person for who they are, not who we want them to be. Through the heartache, humor and misunderstandings Kelly elliott continues to bring a smile to my face and my heart.

3.5 Stars.

From the very beginning, Cord was one of the Parkers that I was most looking forward to (and typically when that happens, it ends up being the last book in the series... this time it was just second to last. I’ll take it as a win 😂)

Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed.
The story was good.
Of course, I adored all the characters.
But I just felt like some things just didn’t work for me.
I think the main issue I had was the fact that Cord seemed to have a lot of panic attacks... and for random/odd/stupid (to me) reasons.

I still adore this series and I’ll definitely be coming back for rereads.
This one just wasn’t a favorite for me.
BUT with that bomb that was dropped in this book, I have a feeling that I’m going to have a SERIOUS love/hate relationship with the next (and final 😬) book of this series!

Readers who have been with the Parker crew from the beginning of Kelly Elliott’s Cowboys and Angels series are more than familiar with Cord’s extracurricular activities as well as his desire to remain single despite his brothers and sisters finding their happily ever afters, reveling in the love and commitment that’s found their way into their lives. Every time the discussion of being a one-woman kind of guy came up in the past, Cord adamantly denied his desire for that type of relationship and took things even further by stating unequivocally that he would never be Smurfed, and with every flirty look, lewd word, and storage room hook up, Cord stayed true to his self-professed manwhoring ways, making it quite impossible for anyone to believe, especially his brothers, that there was a woman who could bring Cord to his knees.

I have to be honest…I didn’t know how Kelly Elliott was going to win me over when it came to Cord finally falling for THE woman. I had my doubts that she could realistically illustrate Cord’s transformation, but after finishing Cord and Maehb’s story, I can wholeheartedly say that I’m so glad that Elliott proved me wrong, and while there is a bit of the ‘too soon’ vibe, the steps these Cord and Maehb take to work through their fears and give themselves to one another despite the risk was illustrated beautifully.

The fact that Cord and Maehb have been circling each other since she arrived in Texas lays credence to the fact that they’ve been slowly developing confusing feelings for one another, which is further illustrated by their reactions and their inability to get the other one out of their every thought. It’s more than clear that Cord’s past with women is a point of contention but the only way that anything could work between Cord and Maehb is if they figure out a way to move beyond the notches on his bedpost and focus on how it will be the first time Cord gives more than his body to a woman and that is a significant difference that they both need to realize as they move forward and try to build something lasting between them.

I do have to say that I felt like Maehb’s character was a bit underdeveloped, and I’m not sure if it’s because I already knew some about Cord due to his presence in all of the earlier books or if it’s because Cord’s the character who needed to change who he was, but I felt like I didn’t really know much about Maehb, except for the pertinent details of her life in Ireland, her dad, and her business. She is such a unique and beautiful Irish lass, and I just wanted to understand who she was and why she was as emotional as she was throughout the course of the text.

The fact that Maehb and Cord are in uncharted territory when it comes to an intimate relationship - one with commitment, strong feelings, and passion - makes it interesting to see how they react to each other and how their feelings translate through their touches, their words, and their need for one another’s body, heart, and soul.

This love that Maehb and Cord create is worth changing for…this love is one that guides them into the unknown and allows them to hold on despite the fear and anxiousness that comes with something so new. This love between them is everything and I loved watching it grow and witnessing these two feel strong enough to take the biggest risks of their lives.

Trevor’s story is up next and I’m anxious to see if Trevor’s mistakes can be rectified or if Scarlett moves on without him, feeling like she no longer has a choice or a chance to be what she wants and needs to be in his life.

“A guy like Cord Parker was bound to break me heart. He was a player, but damn it all to hell, the way he looked at me sometimes made me quiver with desire.”

“You, Cord Parker, have fallen for a girl. You’ve been Smurfed.”

“Her heart was the purest I’d ever known.”

When it comes to sweet and sexy romances, I just can’t get enough of the Cowboys and Angels Series by Kelly Elliott. These stories are rich, full of heart and know just how to knock a girl off her feet and make her swoon. This Love is the latest story to runway with my heart.

This Love is a heartwarming and sweet romance. It’s the kind of romance that just want to curl up with a blanket and put up a do not disturb sign. This story will give you all the feels and will make your heart soar.

From the moment we’re introduced to Cord and Maebh, you get a sense that their story is going to rock your world. The pull between the two of them is instant and has you dying for more. Cord is the sweetest guy, but he’s the kind of guy your mom always warned you about. His looks and charm are lethal. He is the very definition of a player and isn’t going to settle down anytime soon. All that seems to be working until Maebh enters the picture. With her amazing accent, beauty and innocence, Cord doesn’t stand a chance. Despite just how opposite these two were, they were like magnets. Wild horses couldn’t keep these two away from one another. Their back and forth. Their push and pull. All of it left me in anticipation and excitement for the possibilities yet to come.

I had a lot of fun watching Cord and Maebh navigate their way through things. Both feeling things neither one of them ever anticipated. Both wanting to do things right because they knew what they were feeling was special. Their story was just so incredibly sweet. It left my heart aching and dying for more. I just couldn’t enough of these two and was excited to see just how their story was going to play out. Now, of course you know, their journey to happily ever after wouldn’t be without its share of ups and downs, but these two had a connection worth fighting for and I couldn’t help but root for a happy ending for these two.

Once again, Kelly Elliot has blown me away. She’s written a beautiful, heartwarming story that has captured my heart and has given me all the feels. This series just keeps getting better and better. I didn’t think it would be possible to fall more deeply in love with a set of characters and their family, but this author just keeps proving me wrong. Each new book is like an exciting episode of my favorite television show. While the book may be new, their are so many familiar faces and it honestly just feels like coming home.

I loved every moment of This Love. It hit all the marks for a good romance and certainly had me swooning. This Love is filled with a lot of heart and emotion. With just the right amount of drama and angst, youll find yourself devouring the pages just as quickly as I have. And don’t even get me started on the ending!! All I’m gonna say is the stage has been set for the final book in this series and I just know my mind is going to be blown. So, you can be sure that I am going to be counting down the minutes until I get that seventh book in my hands……

This is the 6th book in the Cowboys and Angels series and I've fallen so in love with it. Every book that Kelly brings out in this series I fall in love with it!!!

There's still one more book to come out aswell!!!

I seriously couldnt help but love this book.

Cord and Maebh's story was just so damn perfect ♡

Cord/Jokey Smurf. He made me laugh alot in the other books and he did in this one too. But he was also serious too. He had feelings for someone for the first time and didnt know what the hell to do.

Maebh she was the most upfront and sweetest character ever!! She wasnt afraid to tell Cord how she felt or what she wanted. I loved that about her. That kind of scared Cord a little.

I laughed loads, wanted to punch a certain someone, cried happy tears at the end and swooned so damn much.

Kelly yet again you've done another fantastic job!!!

Well done. I can't wait to read the final book!!! Xx

3 stars but it was more like 2... ?
I'll explain lmao
I knew what I was getting into because I've read other books by this author before but I guess I kind of... forgot a few of her traits? Also, I've been binge-watching a bunch of Turkish series so I've been in this not-so-sexual-slow-burn vibe and this was the first book I read after said binging experience. Which means there ware things I didn't like/understand:
-He offered to kiss a random girl at his bar and saw nothing wrong with it, I was like ??????
You can't be that dense, dude. I didn't get the purpose of that scene, plot-wise. If you did, friend reader, please tell me, I'm still mulling over this.
-He kissed the heroine not half an hour after that. And she let him. I hate when that happens.
Should have stopped after that.
-She said she wanted him to court her. Kudos. I was on board. Big on the courting thing.
Then 5 minutes later they were having all this sex! Weren't they going to get to know one another?
-They love each other. O.O
What? YOU JUST STARTED DATING. What is going on ???
-The constant remembering of the people they had relationships in the past.
I'm cool with that, usually, but only if there's a reason for it. As in, did this person reappear all of sudden bringing evil to our lives because we need to have problems so the book isn't boring? All right. Let's talk about said person. However, if I'm here in the moment with the love of my life, why do I have to read your thoughts on your ex-significant other? I don't need to know that. In real life that's inevitable, I guess. In fiction, lie to me.

I know it seems like I hated the book. I didn't. lmao. Those things were just piling up and by the end, they got on my nerves. But it's a sweet romance, I swear. Okay, here's what I propose: go and read all the other reviews because most of them focus on the positive part of the book. And there is a lot of positive, I pinky swear. So yay!
I blame the Turkish series, they're too sweet. I am ruined.
That's it. Stay awesome!

Cord and Maebh have, at the beginning, the wrong impressions of one another and what they can be to one another. Cord thinks he's not the kind of man who can be with just one woman, although he is starting to rethink his history and the number of women he has been with. And, Maebh thinks he feels nothing for her, that the attraction she feels toward him is one-sided and destined to go nowhere.

Add in a few meddling family members, and these 2 start to see that there is a lot more there than they thought, and that just maybe they are a match that is meant to be. If they hadn't already started to figure this out on their own, they would have by the time the family was done with them.

I loved the juxtaposition of their pasts and their experiences, the differences in their lives and the ways in which they were similar. I loved this, and how they not only were able to merge their differences, but to let them bring them together.

The only issue I had was there were a couple of times I thought there was a little bit of drama that was overdone, both in the actions of the characters and the reactions of the main characters in the story. I am not going to give it away, but I do think it's likely (even if you don't feel the same way) that you will know who I am talking about when you read this title and get to the scenes.

The writing in this was also strong overall. There were a couple of places where I felt that it was a little overdramatic, but for the most part I enjoyed it. I recommend this title.

This Love is book 6 in the Cowboys and Angels series- and what a fantastic series it is! Each book in the series, including This Love, was incredible and didn’t disappoint.

Cord and Maebh’s story was great. Cord has always been the single guy, the bad boy. Maebh is Irish and a good girl. I loved a few things about this book. One is Cord. He’s such a single guy, a player, and I loved how he fell for Maebh. Another thing I loved is that Maebh is Irish. I am married to a man from Ireland and I loved that aspect of the book including the dialect that Kelly put in. I loved their interactions and thought they were sweet and also sexy. I also loved the family dynamic and the entire feel I got from this family and these characters.

This story had tons of emotions and made me feel so good. It’s romance at its finest.

Cord is a bachelor, he loves women, loves being free to have fun with them with zero attachment. Then he meets Maebh. Maebh is opening a restaurant not far from his bar and he is not pleased. Not to mention Maebh is a beauty that is unparalleled to the other women he has spent time with. However Maebh is not the type of girl to be a one night stand, she is the type of girl that screams commitment. Can Cord commit or will he let his own hangups stand in his way?

Was a bit more angstier than I thought it would be. Cord was kind of a jerk and sent so many mixed messages while Maebh was a bit of a contradiction. Overall good book but took awhile for the two characters to come together.

Oh My Gawd....this story melted my heart and had me falling head over heels for Cord and Maebh. This is the sixth book in the Cowboy & Angels series and one of my favorites! Cord is one of the two last remaining single Parker men and plans to stay that way......or so he thought! He loves women and can have his choice with that sexy as sin, panty-melting smile but what happens when one green eyed sexy Irish vixen comes to town....his world is turned upside down!!! Maebh is the sweet, sexy owner of the new restaurant in town and wants the one thing she knows she shouldn't.....Cord Parker! This series is fun, sexy and sinfully addicting so don't miss out!

~ 5 You’ve Been Smurfed Stars ~

This Love was another great addition to the Cowboy and Angels Series by Kelly Elliott. I will always read a book by this author especially if it has some swoon worthy cowboys!!!!

What happens when a playboy cowboy meets his match?? Read This Love to find out how Cord and Maebh navigate these rocky waters.

I was so excited to read Cord’s book because I wanted to see what Kelly had planned for this playboy bachelor. I have to be honest I did want to smack him around a couple times and tell him to wake up, but I was so happy it didn’t take him too long to realize what he had right in front of him. I also LOVED Maebh….I thought her personality was the perfect match for Cord. I think the only thing that I wasn’t too thrilled with was the direction the storyline took towards the end (about 78% in) I thought it was kind of predictable and I wish it wouldn’t have been in there. But there always has to be some kind of drama to keep us on our toes. I still thoroughly enjoyed this story.

As with all the past books in this series, This Love is not really a standalone novel. Yes each book is about a new couple but this all revolves around the Parker family and the main story keeps going from story to story. This is a series I would definitely recommend reading in order to enjoy the full effect the Parker Siblings have. This story is told in Dual POV and I thought the flow and pace of the story worked well. I always get swept up in Kelly’s books.

This Love is the 6th book in this series and it follows Cord and Maebh’s story. Cord owns and operates the local bar in town and isn’t all that thrilled to find out someone new is coming to town to open an Irish pub/restaurant. That is until he gets a look at the new person….Maebh. Maebh used to live in Ireland with her father, who owns a whiskey distillery. She has always dreamt of opening an Irish restaurant in America. Drawn to a small town in Texas because it is linked to her mom, she picks this town. Instantly making new friends and finding everyone friendly all except one person….. Cord. Can Maebh and Cord find a happy medium? What happens when Cord realizes Maebh isn’t out to run his business out of town?? Can they find their HEA?? Read This Love to find out.

I again enjoyed seeing all of the Parker siblings in this story and the people who they fell in love with. This family truly knows how to bring the comic relief to this series. Aunt Vi will have you rolling in your seat with laughter. I hope we get to see more of Aunt Vi and Maebh’s father ;) in the last book of this series. Trevor is the last sibling to get a book and I am looking forward to seeing him redeem himself after some of the things that happened in this book.

If you are a fan of family saga series, this is one you don’t want to miss!!!

M/F Romance
I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

This is part of a series and I would strongly suggest you read all of the previous books, as the relationships will make much more sense. However, you could read as a standalone, you just might not understand all of the nuance in the story.

Maebh is an amazing character. She's strong, yet vulnerable, feisty, but kind. I love that she knows what she wants and goes for it. I also love that her family's fortune doesn't really play a part in the story. She has a strong bond with her father that is very well developed and almost necessary to her character. I think it's her relationship with her father that allows her to know what she wants from a lover.

Maebh is kind of taken under the wing of Cord's sister and sister-in-laws and when those women get together, they have a blast. I love their relationship and banter. I also really like how the women stick together, despite family ties.

Cord is a bachelor to his core. He loves his life, bar and family. When he realizes that someone else is going to be opening a bar near his place, he's not quite sure how to handle that. Then, add to his hesitation, but he's wildly attracted to his new neighbor. He loves her accent, even though at times he can't understand her, loves her personality and thinks she's incredibly beautiful.

Cord and Maebh have to get through the junk in order to get to the sweet stuff. Their courtship is sweet and funny at times. They also have to navigate reputations and past lovers. Both will find themselves in each other, but will the vulnerability of finding that one person be too much?

This is a sweet story that is well developed. The characters mesh well together and all of the secondary characters help the story along. I can't wait for the next one!

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

This Love is the sixth book in the Cowboys and Angels series. This series needs to be read in order to be completely understood and trust me you'll want to read about each and every Parker sibling!

Cord Parker has always considered himself the bachelor of the family. He's always been a manwhore. Never caring who he sleeps with. He's never wanted to to end up like his brother's and get "smurfed". When he finds out a bar/restaurant is opening up across the street, he's furious. When he meets the owner, Meabh he can't explain why he's so drawn to her. He's worried about his business and so confused by his feelings. He realizes her bar won't destroy his, he relaxes but can't get the woman out of his thoughts. His family loves her, his sister's consider her a friend. He knows he can't hurt her but needs her like he needs his next breath. But is he worthy enough? For the first time in his life he regrets the decisions he's made in his part.

I absolutely love these Parkers. Watching Cord fall for Meabh was sweet and oh so sexy. Cord is so swoon worthy, ever Parker brother is, but something about Cord is just more and so worth the read! Meabh is from Ireland and Ms. Elliott keeps her in her Irish dialect throughout the book, even within the inner dialogue which seemed off at first but works perfectly the more you read. I am so sad this is almost the end but I can't wait for the next book!!

This Love by Kelly Elliott
“Be still my heart! 5 stars”

I’m saying it right now, I think Cord and Maebh’s story is hands down my favorite story by Elliott to-date and maybe ever. I have a weakness for all things Irish and Maebh nails that for me, then when Cord picks up on it? Swoon freaking central! I loved how once they decided to give it a go they really stuck with it, yeah there was that hold your breath moment but still you knew. Then you have Cords family, and dear god how I love every single one, they just help round out This Love as a whole.
Maebh is new to the area and opening up shop in the small town. She soon finds herself keeping the company of the Parkers, but one catches her eye in a way the others don’t. Will she take a chance on Cord or will her lack of experience keep her back? Will she find a home and a family within the Parker clan?
Cord never thought settling down would be his speed, he loves women too much. Then he meets Maebh and things slowly but surely start changing within him when she’s around. He wants her like he’s never wanted another, but its more than that. Cord fears hurting her, but will he take a chance on what could be happiness? But the bigger question is will he be able to hold onto it?
Go, right now and one click This Love. I’ve loved every book in the series leading up to This Love and I’m sure I will love the last, but this one? It just hit me just right. It’s one of those stories where the hero does a 180 and changes his tune without regret. But like I said before, maybe I’m biased because I love the Irish twists in This Love, but I think you will too.

5 “Me Heart” Stars

This Love is the sixth book in Elliott’s Cowboys and Angels series, I believe has become my new favorite. I always love when the quintessential badboy falls in love and man, oh man, does Cord Parker fall HARD!

This series has quickly become one of my favorites and I have enjoyed every single one of them so far, but these two have topped the list. Cord has always been the rebel badboy in the family. The one who was determined not to work on the ranch, but had dreams of opening up his own bar. He has done that and succeeded. Now that a new pub of sorts is going in down the block, he’s not sure what to think and is definitely curious about the new owner, Maebh O’Sullivan. Maebh is the sweet Irish girl that at one touch steals the breath from Cord and seals his fate. The push/pull between these two is fantastic. They both have their reservations, but are determined to find out where these feelings take them.

I can’t say enough great things about this one. It’s sweet and swoony, sexy and steamy, and full of all the laugh out loud moments that only the Parker family can bring. Oh, and one meddling momma. I adore Melanie Parker and all her meddling ways. We get a glimpse into the upcoming seventh and final (cries) book with Trevor and Scarlett. I can’t wait for their story, but I will be so sad this series is ending. You need to read the other books in the series first before starting this one, as they are not standalones. They all intertwine and their stories continue. #Oneclick this series today and fall in love with the Parker family.

I have been waiting so patiently for Cord's story and it was so worth the wait. Maebh was certainly the woman for Cord as he was bound and determined that he would continue playing the field and not settle down.

All the woman in the Cowboys & Angels series are phenomenal, but I may well have a new favourite in Maebh. I just loved everything about this woman , she was beautiful inside and out and certainly a match for Cord Parker.

Cord is attracted to Maebh but also concerned that he will eventually hurt her. However he doesn't count on his mother’s matchmaking and the intense chemistry and attraction that sizzles between Maebh and him. Can Cord change his flirtatious ways and become a one woman man or is he destined to be a lonely player?

Kelly Elliot has writing romantic comedy down for sure as each of these books have had moments of sheer genius and plenty of laughter throughout and This Love is no exception.

Kelly Elliott writes strong characters and she is not afraid to show their flaws, I think it is this that makes her books so special.

Cord in my opinion was always going to be the Parker man to fall the hardest and fall he did. This Love had me engrossed from the first chapter to the last and lived up to my expectations in every way.
This was one of those books I wanted to take slowly, to savour the story and yet I found myself riveted and saying to myself, just one more chapter until I finished.

This Love was a beautifully written, romantic story and one I highly recommend. I cannot wait for more in this series.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the sixth book in the series, and I would say that you really need to read them in order to get the full story and understand all of the family dynamics. We have seen the first times these two met in previous books, and so a fan would already know the issues which Cord has with Maebh and her new venture.

As each of the siblings has found their true love in previous books, we have enjoyed the ones left behind being both the teased and the teasers - the Smurf naming being a trend throughout the books for example. Cord is well aware of how his brothers have acted once they have found their woman, but he has no intention of going there, and has been doing a sterling job of working his way through the local single ladies. However Maebh has an effect on him that he does not want to acknowledge.

There are both some lovely humour and some quite hurtful moments as the two of them work out where their future lies and whether it really is together. Maebh has been burned before, so Cord's actions cause her more pain than was really warranted, but does cause them both to assess what is really important and what is not.

Be prepared for a fun story with a very romantic pairing, and plenty of excellent quality whiskey!

Another amazing book in the “Cowboys and Angels” series.

Cord has never cared about the woman he slept with, he had fun and moved to the next one in line, no strings attached no problems. That is until he runs into the unique Irish beauty and for the first time he wants to try.

Maebh knows she is falling for Cord, he is this unattainable playboy and she is almost certain that he will break her heart, but she can’t seem to help herself. There is something that calls her to him and even though he is doing everything to push her away, she can’t seem to stay away for too long.

Cord is scared, for once in his life he wants something and he can’t have it. She is too good for him, too pure and he starts to rethink all his past choices. Will he ever be able to deserve her?

Reading about their love story was beautiful; Cord surprised me in the best way. He made a decision and stuck to it; he knows she is his future and he is not letting anything get in their way.

Maebh is scared her inexperience might be a problem for Cord, but she has no idea it’s something that’s driving him wild.

Possessive Cowboys are one of my favorite fantasy materials and Cord hit all the right notes for me.

It's so refreshing seeing a guy who acknowledge what he wants and takes it.

This book was perfect!

Kelly Elliott has made me fall in love again with This Love. Each book in this series has made me smile and shake my head, wondering how I could fall for another person in the Parker clan. I loved Cord and Maebh and their story had me sighing and swooning.

I liked Maebh. She wasn't what I expecting and I liked getting to know her. She's smart, strong and sweet. I loved her seeing openness with Cord and it was refreshing to see her be able to tell him what she wanted.

Now Cord...I wasn't sure how Kelly Elliott was going to make me see him as someone who could be in a relationship. He's a fun guy, don't get me wrong, but he's definitely been portrayed to be the player of the group. Watching him navigate his feelings for Maebh had me smiling and sighing. I absolutely loved seeing him fall for her.

This book isn't a standalone, so for me that meant I got to revisit some of my other favorite characters from this series. I love getting to see what other characters are up to and it didn't detract from Cord and Maebh's story in the least to me. I thought the pace of this book moved pretty well.

If you haven't read any of the other books in this series go start now so you can fully enjoy this book. I know I did enjoy it and I would definitely recommend it.

Kelly Elliott reminded me why I fell in love with the romance genre years ago with This Love. This book is what romance is all about. Epic love, heart pounding moments full of emotion, and breathtaking sweetness all wrapped up with close knit family and friends to round out into a book that you won’t be able to put down. Cord and Maebh are my absolute favorite in this series. Their story held me completely captivated start to finish and left me wishing it never ended! I could have stayed happily lost in this book forever!
From the bits of Maebh in previous books I already had a feeling I’d like her, but I more than liked her. Her innocent sweetness coupled with a quiet strength made her a joy to read. Of course Cord, like every man Kelly Elliott has written, was a master of swoon. Living his life as a confirmed bachelor he was thrown for a loop the moment he first saw Maebh. But that player lifestyle didn’t stand a chance because when Cord falls, he falls hard!
From these two dancing around each other to the ultimate fall into blissful happiness there’s not a dull moment to be found. Maebh, Cord, and the entire Parker family will have you glued to the pages dying to see what will happen next!

2 words: book hangover! I’ll be back with my full review ...

This book held me spell-bound! I couldn't read it fast enough or put it down. I have been anxiously awaiting Cord's story and waiting to see love knock him on his tail! I loved Maebh (for those of you not familiar with this book or series, it's pronounced May with a v sound, rhymes with fav) and getting to see her story and her family history. Her restaurant was nothing like Cord's bar but she kept him on his toes in various ways. I loved seeing her give him a run for his money! I liked the fact that she was friends with the women in his family first and the chemistry between them was palpable and inevitable. Cord's mama liked her too which of course spelled trouble for him. There were times as I was reading this book, I was literally laughing out loud. This book was swoony and sweet, sexy and hot! Maebh fit in with everyone in Cord's life and she changed him in the best of ways. This book gave me a delicious book hangover and I can't recommend it enough. If you haven't read this series, you must start with book 1, Lost Love.

I was so freaking happy to be back in this world and all of the Parker shenanigans! Trust me there are a lot!

Cord’s book was one of the books that I was most looking forward to because I feel like he has always been in the background of everyone else’s stories as the manwhore, goofy brother and now he gets his own story. I absolutely adored Cord and Maebh together because they were so effortless. Cord’s growth throughout the whole series, especially in this book, was amazing to read. Maebh was a freaking beautiful character who make all of my hopeless romantic vibes come alive. She was so sweet and vulnerable, yet confident. I loved being in her head and reading her accent.

This book flowed really well. I felt like the story was paced well and Kelly did a phenomenal job writing it. One of the huge draws to this series for me is that fact that it is such a close knit family who are constantly stepping in and out of each other’s lives. I get to catch up with previous characters and get to know future characters. They all fit together perfectly!

Overall Rating: 5/5 Stars!

This Love by Kelly Elliott is book six in her Cowboys and Angels Series. The books are not standalones, you must read them in order to have a understanding of the events that take place in the books.
The reading order is: Lost Love; Love Profound; Tempting Love; Love Again; Blind Love and This Love.
This Love tells Maebh and Cord's story.
Cord Parker is the lokal bar owner, a player and seems bachelor for life. He never wants to settle down.
Maebh O´Sullivan is the new plant in town. She's fresh from Ireland and about to open a bar and restaurant. Cord thinks of her as threat and tries to make her leave.
Maebh is a bit a mystery. She seems like a strong heroine who doesn't take any shift, but on the other side she's homesick, so so vulnerable, sensitive to tears sometimes. She carries a thick irish brogue and I had sometimes a hard time to stay in me reading flow.
And Cord, it takes him on look at her and he's a goner. He would do everything for her.
This Love is a sweet love story, well written with great characters and I loved their struggle and their well deserved HEA.

Maebh and Cord I think are my favorite couple in the series!

Cord is the serial playboy and the one who told his brothers that he would NEVER fall for a girl the way they had. But he never expected Maebh to walk into his life and knock him on his butt. The Irish beauty should be his mortal enemy since she's opening a bar - well that's what he keeps telling himself. But he just can't shake her from his mind. The only problem is that every time he gets near her he turns into a idiot who either offends her or just can't understand her - making Maebh feel like Cord hates her.

Maebh is innocent but full of Irish Fire and for some reason she is drawn to the moody cowboy who seems to make fun of her at every turn. Everyone says that Cord likes her but he sure has a funny way of showing it.

This was a fun book - watching the almighty Cord fall. Now it's Cord chance to show Maebh that he's a changed man and that he can commit to her... now if only the women in town would stop throwing themselves at him and making his life a living hell.

The Smurfs have a new Addition!!!!!

Lord help me, I knew Cord was going to fall hard when he fell, but he has me yelling TIMBER!!!!!! lol……

Maebh has no idea the impact she has had on the town’s most infamous bachelor and she truly has a hard time believing that she can possibly be it for this man, but rest assured she totally is. Cord is so head over heals he doesn’t even know what to do half the time when she is around. It was so awesome to watch/read him convince not only Maebh, but himself just how much he loves her.

Hearts were breaking everywhere as another Parker brother is taken off the market and added to the land of the Smurfs!!!!

This story was everything we have come to love and expect from Kelly Elliott. It was a fabulous addition to this series.

I loved Cord and Maebh’s story!

Cord never wanted to settle down, he was a lady’s man and wanted to stay that way until Maebh moved to town.

Maebh has moved to the US from Ireland, she is opening a restaurant with her father and is excited about the new opportunities heading her way. When she first meets Cord though her world is shook and she cannot get him out of her mind, too bad he doesn’t seem to like her very much.

Cord has been obsessed with Maebh since he first saw her but fights his attraction to her. What will happen when these two collide? How will Maebh cope when someone from Cord’s past comes back into town?

Can’t believe there is only 1 book left in this series I am going to miss the Parker Family!!

This is book 6 of the series. I am not quite sure I have to read the series in order but I was a little lost. I was also having a hard time with the Irish dialect. It messes with the flow for me Otherwise, it was beautiful love story between Maebh and Cord. I like Maebh – I think she is sweet, kind, strong, a beautiful person inside and out. Cord was a playboy who loves women and his bachelor life. But everything changed after meeting Maebh. I did not feel too much chemistry between them at first because I felt like Cord was giving too many mix signals but after Cord realized he fall in love – the story definitely` turned super swoony. In the end, Maebh brought out the best in him and true love prevailed. Over all, This Love was a fun, sweet and sexy love story.

Let me start by saying of course it was great, Kelly Elliott wrote it.
She has never disappointed me ever with her writing. And as usual wrote about a swoon worthy man. Cord is the perfect example of when you find "The One" you know. Maebh is so amazing. I loved how Kelly used alot of Irish lingo when it was Maebh's POV, for me it made this book that much more amazing.
With put giving anything my favorite part of the book was Maebh and Cord going to the lake house at the same time. Everything about that was perfect. Funny, sexy as all get out and some drama. Now we have to wai until January for Trevor's book.....UGH the wait is going to kill me
