She's crept into my chest.
Taken up residence in my heart.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Well the book is not bad its just all over the place. We meet Naomi who seems to just have bad luck. She was trying to take pictures on a boat that she had trespassed and ends up fleeing due to boat being stolen. That is when she meets Ben a police officer who does not believe her story but is immediately lusting after her due to her wet dress and the rest is history. For an evening read, entertaining enough.

Cuffing Her by Emily Bishop a Five-star read that I would happily be cuffed to, Emily Bishop has kicked my 2018 off with a rip-roaring start, what can I say about Ben Warburton Sheriff other than yummy, yummy. He can save me any time, he can even cuff me, I honestly wouldn’t mind, and some of the ideas that Naomi Greeves has about his bike despite hating him would definitely be a must in my eyes. (Even after all the upset, I still would). Emily has written a hot steamy read, but there’s a story to go along with it, plenty of drama and action to take you on a journey.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

We meet Naomi who’s out getting some photos in small town Maine. She decides to trespass on someone’s boat to get a photo and inadvertently walks in on someone stealing the boat. She jumps off the boat to escape and washes up on shore. As she is laying there the towns’ new sheriff Ben thinks she has something to do with the missing boat and decides to haul her into the station. For some weird reason she decides to make a run for it she gets maybe three feet before he stops her. After some verbal sparring back and forth at the station he releases her. Realizing it’s late and she is still soaked from her impromptu swim he takes her home. Then the insta-lust thing happens and the two of them are going at it like cats in heat.

Naomi does not want to get involved with someone in the law business. She has made bad men choices in the past and she wants to devote her time to getting her new restaurant off the ground. Unfortunately her being on the stolen boat makes her prime suspect number one and she keeps running into Ben despite her best efforts to avoid him.

Then we have the unsavory ex that shows up and somehow manages to involve her in his new scheme. Associating with him is putting her new found belonging to the community in jeopardy. Will she be able to save herself and her new place in the community while trying to decide if letting her guard down for the sheriff to see if there is something there?

Like I said this is an insta-lust type of thing. Minus the sex and this could be a Hallmark Sun evening movie. She is from a neighboring small town in Maine with a somewhat dubious past trying to make good in a new small town. She has a run in with the law and while she is innocent circumstances conspire to make her seem like she could be involved.

The lawman is strongly attracted to her and wants her very much to be innocent so he can be comfortable associating with her. While enjoying getting to know her he is still checking up on her just in case her voluptuous chest is causing his brain to malfunction.

Then we have the sleazy ex showing up and threatening her newfound place in this tiny community. He threatens her and those she has come to care about to make her do what he wants. We have some nefarious plot schemes going on and someone is giving the bad guys info to avoid being caught. Of course the other perpetrator is someone close to one of the leads. Female lead is kidnapped and lawman to the rescue to save the day.

So while not an awful read it is a predicable read. Also couldn’t quiet get into Ben bossing Naomi around when they have sex, it just did nothing for the passion it was a big turn off at least it was for me. So if you are looking for something light and fluffy you have found it.

Naomi👗💋 came back to Stoneport, in upstate coastal Maine to start a small seafood🐟 restaurant at the docks. She's been there a few months now and her restaurant🐟 needs some decor upgrading. A sizzling hot read

This was a great book, I will definitely read it more than once. The first couple of pages are deceptively slow, before you reach the end of the first chapter the story is barreling along like a freight train with out working breaks; make sure your reading device is fully charged and sit back and enjoy the ride ;) You can feel the tension between Naomi and Ben from their first meeting and it carries through the story to the very end and its not just sexual tension. There is the 2 awesome main characters and a couple of supporting ones along with the obligatory bad guys in this romantic (erotic?) suspense but Emily Bishop throws a character twist in the story at the end that the reader does not see coming. The final climax ;) of the story made me rethink what I assumed about the characters at the beginning. Cuffing Her exceeded my expectations which were high after reading the author's blurb for the book. Great story.

SEXY, SUSPENSEFUL, AND OH SO HOT!!!
Title: Cuffing Her: A Small Town Cop Romance
Author: Emily Bishop
Designation: Contemporary Romance with Suspense, Standalone, HEA, Short Novel
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: Four Super Sexy Stars****
**This story ended at the 21% location on my Kindle and felt more like a long novella rather than a full-length novel. There were no pages numbers and the line/paragraph spacing was extremely generous. The author did include several bonus stories which I also found quite entertaining.

Somebody call 911 cause this book was on fire! And sexy Sheriff Ben Warburton made me swoon! OMG! This man was so hot! This may have been my first time reading the work of Emily Bishop, but it certainly won't be my last! I'm officially a fan! Cuffing Her is a riveting, fast-paced, well-crafted, easy to follow contemporary romance filled to the brim with pulse-pounding danger, heartbreaking drama, spine-tingling suspense, engaging characters, laugh-out-loud humor, instant attraction, steamy passion, and heartwarming romance! The narrative is beautifully written in the first person with clearly defined his and her perspectives. The dialogue was smart, snappy, gritty, natural, and flowed effortlessly. I will warn you, both protagonists knew exactly what they wanted and didn't mince words to get it, which brings me to the stars of this sexy, enemies to lovers trope. I was immediately smitten with handsome, traumatized, ex-special forces veteran Ben Warburton, now the newly elected Sheriff of Stoneport. If there was ever a perfect book boyfriend, Ben Warburton was it! I'm almost 70 and many years past getting hot and bothered over a much younger man, but I had to stop several times to fan myself, and I'm not even joking! And lovely new restaurant owner Naomi Greeves just couldn't catch a break. Trouble was drawn to her like bees to honey. And speaking of honey, Naomi was a real sweetie, but she was also hardworking, independent, determined, stubborn, feisty, and a real firecracker with a sassy mouth. She didn't take crap from anyone and trusted no one, not even the town Sheriff. And when these two unlikely lovers 'officially' met, it was lust at first sight! They may not have trusted each other, but that certainly didn't stop either from appreciating the other's assets. Ben and Naomi were both flawed, complex characters with complicated pasts, but they complemented each other perfectly. Bishop skillfully combined all these elements to craft a captivating, contemporary enemies to lovers romance.

When new restaurant owner Naomi Greeves trespassed onto a docked luxury yacht and stumbled into the middle of a crime, literally, it almost results in her death. She only wanted to snap a few pictures. Obviously, the thief stealing the yacht wasn't impressed with her excuse, and neither was the handsome cop when he fished her out of the marina.

Sheriff Ben Warburton didn't know what to make of the beautiful, feisty young woman he hauled from the water at the scene of a crime. He can't decide whether he should frisk her or kiss her, or maybe both after he cuffs her to his bed - if he can keep her alive! Oh my! Ben already has enough on his plate trying to solve this case and keep his town safe. He can't afford any complications or distractions. His brain may be telling him one thing but other parts of his anatomy strongly disagree. What's a dedicated officer of the law to do? We'll see!

Did I like this story? Yes, very much! I'm not a writer nor a professional reviewer, but I felt the story was just a wee bit predictable. I figured out very early in the story who was doing what and to whom, but I was still glued to my seat, white knuckling my ereader and sweating bullets, while my heart fluttered wildly in my chest. No way was I gonna put this book down and miss all the sexy times, which brings me to another point. This is not erotica but it is erotic, so readers beware. The sex scenes are hot, explicit, bountiful, and so dreamy! *sigh* I may be an old bird but I can still enjoy panty-melting sex scenes. There was a glaring, unresolved plot thread that completely baffled me. In Chapter 6, Naomi's only waitress Katie is mentioned by Ben's deputy, James, but their relationship, or lack thereof, is never made clear. In fact, Ben doesn't question Katie's identity in the conversation, almost as if he knows her, and wonders to himself if Katie and James are having a relationship, yet Katie never mentions knowing Ben or James, and there were no scenes with any interaction between Katie and James. It was just a little puzzling but maybe I missed something. Also, I was never able to find the original name of Naomi's restaurant, other than Naomi's place, which I don't think was actually the name. This restaurant was Naomi's entire life, the dream she'd worked so hard for, and was a very important part of the story. I found it a little disappointing that the author didn't give it a name but again, maybe I just missed it. I did find the new name at the end of the story which I thought was quite appropriate. Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Helping Him With His Enquiries...
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Naomi has recently opened up a new restaurant in town and has found little time to relax. Out one day relaxing she is out taking photos with her brand new camera and is after the perfect shot. She doesn't realise that she's on private property or that whilst she is there , a robbery is taking place. The next thing she knows is that she in hand cuffs and being read her rights by a very sexy Sheriff called Ben. Now Ben is ex-military, gorgeous and feeling rather hot under the collar where Naomi is concerned. She is his chief suspect in a yacht robbery but he wants to prove she wasn't involved as he'd rather have her in hand cuffs in their private time. He has just moved to town and has avoided relationships over the years in the special forces but Naomi makes him want things he hasn't dreamed of before. But her ex is an ex con and was she involved? As Naomi and Ben get to know each other better the temperatures rise to steaming and you may need to use your fans as the pair of them are so compatible. He knows in his gut that she's innocent but she may be a clue to solving the crime. They are like magnets to each other that cannot keep away and each time the air sizzles between them that is getting to combustible level. This story by Emily Bishop highlights all her strengths as an author. her storylines are complex but her writing style is such that the words flow across the pages drawing the reader into the plot. Ben and Naomi are so good together and we see their feelings emerging and deepening until they cannot keep apart. But will he be able to keep her safe and is this going to be a story with a HEA? To find out you'll need to buy this must have read as it will keep you absorbed in the book from first to last page. A book that I will be re-reading as it's so good.

A Sweet and Sexy Story

Not sure if this a spoiler or not, but only the criminals get cuffed. Naomi is a young woman who has opened a seafood restaurant in a small town in Northern Maine. Ben is the new sheriff in town. They meet when he catches her diving off a yacht as it’s being stolen. Thinking she’s involved in the theft, he brings her to the police station for questioning. She has a severe dislike and distrust of the police, so she is as uncooperative as possible. They both are as attracted to each other as they are suspicious of each other. Ben brings her home after unsuccessful questioning and they end up having sex against her front door - the outside of it. The next day Ben is still torn between his desire for Naomi and his feeling that she is involved in the yacht theft. Bad things are happening in town and Naomi always seems to be on the scene. Ben can’t decide if she is as innocent as she claims, involved as it seems, or worse, involved and purposely keeping him from doing his job. Naomi knows more than she is telling, but won’t trust him enough to tell him what she knows. Their bodies trust each other, but their hearts don’t. It’s not until they can both open their hearts that they can accept the other and stop the crime spree.

While the Ben and Naomi seem to have sex every time they get within five feet of each other, there is still a sweetness to the story. Ben goes from being the bad ass ex-Special Forces now sheriff to insecure teenager when trying to but flowers for Naomi. Rather than Naomi being the innocent virgin with skills of a prostitute as in many current stories, Naomi has some experience. Enough that she knows what she likes in sex and isn’t afraid to tell her lover.

Ultimately, this was a fun romance with some suspense thrown in.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for and honest review.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really loved this story about an army vet named Ben who served in the special forces and now is the sheriff of a small coastal town. Ben is new to the job and faces a small crime rate until a yacht is stolen and he finds a young woman in at the scene of the crime in the water. Naomi is starting over in a small town and opening a restaurant. She decides to take some pictures around the town to decorate her restaurant when she sees a yacht docked and thinks it would be perfect for photos. Naomi sneaks aboard and is startled when the engine starts, she tries to run off, but is confronted by a man in a mask pointing a gun at her. She dives into the water thinking it will save her life, only to be caught by Ben. Ben thinks she is involved in the theft, so he detains her. They have an argument and he takes he to the station. They both are attracted to each other, but Ben thinks she is involved in crime and she thinks he is a jerk. Naomi has secrets that force their way out and she doesn't know where to turn and if she can trust Ben. Ben knows Naomi is somehow connected to the crime but he doesn't know what she is hiding and if she is a willing participant. I really loved the story and o thought Ben and Naomi were hot together. This book had a bit of danger and suspense. It was another great one from Emily.

Naomi is out taking pictures and wants to take some of this boat and climbs on looking for the owner bit when she hears the motor start up she jumps back on the dock. She looks back and a masked man has a gun pointed at her so she jumps into the water to get away. Hearing pops in the water as he fires after her. When she makes it to land its right in front of the sheriff. Ben has been looking into missing boats and his first lead is Naomi however he isn't sure if she is the person in charge or if she'll lead him to the ones in charge. After being questioned Ben releases Naomi and offers her a ride home. One thing leads to another and they have sex. Ben knows its probably bad considering she may still be involved in his case but he can't stay away. Naomi thought she had left her past behind her until she saw her ex boyfriend and that he was involved with a group of troublesome customers she's been dealing with. Can Ben help Naomi and close his case? Will Naomi be able to look passed her bias with cops and see Ben for who and what he really is?

This was an amazing story with a surprise twist. Once I started I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Ben and Naomi is combustible. I loved reading every word of this story and can't wait to see what this writer does next.

This is story of mistaken quilt! Naomi has moved back home from a bad decision hoping to start over. One night she is out taking pictures hoping to use them in her restaurant. As she enters a lonely yacht she finds herself in a position with a gun in her face and finds herself in the water and swimming to the docks to safety. As she climbs out of the water Ben is there who happens to be the sheriff who takes her in for questioning. Ben is one hot sheriff and ex military as he is starting cilivian life after leaving the service. Since Ben does not know what’s going on he is a bit harsh with Naomi and they seem to not hit it off other than the sexual attraction to one another! Naomi has a bad experience with the police and does not put much trust in them especially when they don’t see what’s in front of them. Things heat up between them and other outside forces seem to want to cause nothing but hectic dangerous trouble for Naomi, her past! Will her past destroy her future and any connection she may have with Ben? Can Ben and Naomi find trust in one another and will Ben understand what Naomi knows? I enjoyed this storyline and strong characters. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

When Ben Warburton retired from Special Forces, he returned to his New England hometown and ran for sheriff. He loved the town and the people and he made it his mission to keep it safe. Things were going well until one evening he fished a woman out of the water. Something was off and he made it his business to find out what.

Naomi was a chef in the middle of creating the perfect life. She had just opened her own seafood restaurant and was looking forward to making her dream a success. Life had dealt her some challenges but this was her opportunity to turn everything around. A quiet walk along the docks turns into the scene of a crime and Naomi finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

That is the beginning of the story and it only becomes more complicated as the reader progresses. You will meet some unsavory characters and you will not know who to trust. Get ready for some mystery, some wonderful co-workers and plenty of complications. All in all, this is a thrill ride that will be punctuated with some heated moments and plenty of thrills that will hold readers captive right up to the end.

I received a reader copy of the book in exchange for an honest review and I can honestly say I enjoyed the book

Sizzling HOT story with heart
Reading Ms. Bishop’s stories is great fun. She gets you into the action of the story immediately and you learn about the characters as you read along. So much better than reading paragraph after paragraph about the characters and THEN getting into the story!
Ben is the fairly new Sheriff in Stoneport, Maine, an ex-Special Forces military guy and a good cop. He finds Naomi in the water after having run from her would-be killer and a for-sure thief of the yacht she was on. Ben suspects Naomi, the chef of a new restaurant in town, as being involved in the yacht theft. He takes her in and fire works start, not good ones but sensual ones anyway. Naomi has a bad history with cops but she can’t deny her attraction. Such a good plot, many surprises and good secondary characters too. Ben and Naomi have an overwhelming sexual attraction but they can’t trust one another YET. There are many HOT scenes: on her front porch, up against a wall, in her office, even on her bathroom counter… Soon Naomi’s ex-boyfriend shows up and the tension mounts. Woo-hoo, Ms. Bishop just gets better and better. All ends well but the journey to that HEA is amazing. Highly recommend this book which I volunteered to review from an ARC.

Fast paced and steamy, romantic suspense. Naomi has moved back to New England a town away from were she grew up, following her dream to open a restaurant. Ben, is retired special forces. After the loss of his best friend in combat, he made the decision to retire. He is now sheriff of his home town, a position he uncle held before him.
Ben and Naomi meet when the yacht she was photographing is stolen, and she is forced overboard. Ben suspects she is involved in theft. Curiosity almost got her killed.
Naomi moved back home it is a quiet peaceful town. Out taking pictures she spots a boat and what does she do she gets on that boat not knowing that someone was attempting to steal it. She managed to get out and swim to shore and to her astonishment a cop was waiting to take her in. Thinking she was part of the robbery.

Ben is the sheriff of this small quiet town and when he see Naomi he thinks the worst of her thinking she a criminal, but why is he attracted to her. When these two let their attraction take them to the bedroom it is explosive. For Ben being such a good cop he is also naughty. Theses two want to hate each other but they can't.

When there is danger lurking out to get Naomi can Ben keep her safe and maybe lose his heart in the process.
This story has a lot of steam some suspense, and danger everything I love in a good story. This is another must read for me and I can see myself reading this one again in the very near future.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this latest book from Ms Bishop. Naomi and Ben were such great characters and the attraction they had for one another was there from the very start! This was a very well written book. full of hot steamy chemistry and just eh right amount of mystery and suspense in the form of criminals in a quaint small town trying to steal from the well to do of the town. The two get off to a shaky start when Naomi finds herself having to jump from a yacht she has been taking pictures of when a gun is pointed at her. Ben is the sheriff who rescues her and unwittingly assumes she has something to do with the stolen yacht when it takes off after she jumps from it. Both have a little problem with trusting people due to things in their past. I loved the whole storyline surrounding the mystery of who the criminals were and what their connection to Naomi was. Ben slowly realizes that he has fallen for Naomi despite not knowing what her connection is to what is going on. This was a fabulous read and I loved the HEA!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Fantastic! Grab this book! You won't want to put it down. Naomi is wanting to take some pictures and steps on a yacht that has no one on it. Once she starts to go downstairs she hears the motor crank up. She hurries to get off the yacht and a masked gunman is in front of her. She jumps in the water to get away from him as she hears a gunshot. Once she gets to shore, she is greeted by Ben, a police officer. He tells her she has to go with him to the station and is asking her questions about the yacht being stolen. She tells him she doesn't know anything but Ben doesn't believe her. Naomi is feisty and Ben keeps noticing her white dress stuck to her. After releasing Naomi, Ben takes her home. They exchange a kiss and make out at her door. They finally take things inside. Skippy, a biker is keeping tabs on Naomi for her ex-boyfriend. Naomi is afraid and tried backing away from Ben.. Will Naomi trust Ben enough to tell him what she knows? How will Ben react?

Namoi did not think when she went to take pictures with her new camera that her trespassing to get that perfect shot would have her in the midst of a boat robbery and then end up cuffed and hot and somewhat bothered by the Sherrif Ben!
These two are one spark away from explosive- When Ben figures out Namoi's innocence, he also comes to the conclusion she is his key to the real boat thieves. Or maybe he is just more interested in her looks-- I will let you decide!
The twists just keep coming with these two! Her life is not all roses- when push comes to shove will Ben be there to help her?

A hot insta lust, story with plenty of descriptive scenes and an interesting twist thrown in. I love how Emily Bishop gives us such unique new storylines with every new book!
This fast mover high octane heat tale was a maddeningly enjoyable read- and as always I look forward to more work from Ms.Bishop soon!

Naomi. Tsk, tsk. What is it about ‘camera people’ anyway? Just can’t resist that next shot… that better angle…
Look where it got you!
A gun in the face.
A dive into the cold, cold, sea…
Arrested. Oh, My! And by a very hot cop, too!
And that’s just the beginning of the evening.

The hot cop is Ben. He’s the sheriff.
You don’t like him. You don’t trust him. But you want him.
He thinks you’re a criminal!
He doesn’t like you. He doesn’t trust you.
But, oh! He wants you!

There’s enough heat in this book to keep you warm til Spring.
I greatly enjoyed watching Naomi and Ben take the journey from insta-lust full of mistrust-- to a true, trusting relationship…

Bottom line: Very good. I did find it cringe-worthy that in the beginning Ben jumped to the conclusion that Naomi was a criminal instead of a victim. But the rest of the story was well-written and satisfying. 4 stars.

Super steamy love scenes, so hot they can melt the ice. Great second chance at love story. Well written, with great plot twists. Characters were believable and I could identify with all of them. Naomi and Ben's instant attraction burns bright and neither one can deny their attraction. She's a chef, working on her dream, and just opened her restaurant in the small New England town. He's a retired special ops soldier, haunted by his time serving in the military, and the new sheriff in town. Yacht theft, break ends, vandalism and arson, all mixed into the plot help flow the story along. Makes you want to keep reading. Mistrust, betrayal, intimidation, all make you wonder if there will be a HEA for Naomi and Ben. Read and find out.

Naomi and Ben meet under less than desirable circumstances! He is the town sheriff and she unwittingly ends up on a stolen yacht, only to be shot at and ens up in the water. The attraction is instant, but he tries to remain professional, at least until he releases her from police custody. Ben offer to take her home since she is still soaked, and once they reach her door all bets are off! They can't resist their attraction and end up in bed! They say it's a one time thing, but Ben can't help have his suspicions about Naomi, especially when he comes to her rescue in her restaurant. Naomi's ex is back in town and that just spells trouble for everyone. This is a fast paced story filled with secrets, danger, suspense, and so much smoking hot chemistry between Ben and Naomi that I couldn't put this one down!! I loved it!!

Cuffing Her is a sweet romance between a man who's a sheriff and a woman he arrests for stealing a yacht. Naomi and Ben's relationship started out wrong from the beginning but the attraction between the two is on fire and neither can keep their hand to themselves. Naomi came to the small, quiet town to start over from a bad past relationship and she's in the wrong place at the wrong time she just has to convince Ben of that. Ben is recently out from the military and he just wants his town to go back to being quiet like before but it will never be the same once he and Naomi touch each other. The sex is out of this world hot and Ben, well let's just say he's one hot, tall sheriff who oozes sex appeal. I enjoyed this book from the beginning, the story line is great and Ben and Naomi's relationship is full of surprises and keeps you reading until the very end. Great book, highly recommend!!

Naomi is out taking pictures and ends up being a suspect in a yacht being stolen. Ben is ex Special Forces, and is now the new sheriff in town and he helps a drenched Naomi out of the water and arrests her. Naomi is new in town and has given her all to open a restaurant, and after being arrested and then released, has the new sheriff dropping in at all times. The chemistry between Ben and Naomi is explosive. When some troublesome customers start coming to the restaurant, will Ben be able to protect Naomi from the danger? This story is filled with suspense, twists, and sexy times, and I was hooked throughout. I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers, as you will never be disappointed with her stories! Amazing Emily!!
