She has style.
I have spent eighteen months learning Italian. Duolingo and four trips to the country (my fifth is in three weeks) have been the core of the effort. But this writer’s books add a different, often-challenging, always-stimulating spark to my attempts to improve my reading as I try to improve my speaking. I really enjoy these stories. On to the next victim . . .

I love this book. I have read a few books aimed at learners of Italian, but I really like the way that this one is written as well as the story. It is a joy to read.

Wicked story! Very entertaining, well written. The language is a bit more advanced than what I am comfortable with, but that’s a good thing—it challenged me to learn more without being overwhelmed. I’ve read several of her books so far and IMHO this is the best one yet. Bravo!

Not a great mystery. Lacking logic and sense. Ending most unsatisfying. If you are learning Italian, at least pick something interesting.

The language was simple enough that I could understand it, but also an interesting story!

More intermediate than beginner, some convoluted tenses going on. Story is OK, I like that it's geared towards adults rather than kids.
