About the author

Linda Cardinal, C.M., MRSC, is Professor and Associate Vice-President of Research at the Université de l’Ontario français, Toronto, Canada. She is also Emeritus Professor of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa, and Research Chair in Canadian Francophonie and Public Policies. She is a former Craig Dobbin Chair of Canadian Studies at University College, Dublin.

Her research interests include language regimes and policies, Canadian language politics, citizenship debates, and minorities.
