Jessica Mills loves the HEA found in a Hallmark movie, must have coffee first thing in the morning, and a homebody that loves living in the country. She’s definitely family-oriented and an animal lover at heart except for snakes….nope!
She recently relocated back to East Tennessee with her husband and daughter to be closer to family, she has a son that lives in Florida, and three furbabies that complete her everyday life. She’s always wanted to be a writer and put the stories from her head to paper.
She never thought that would come to fruition until she met Ali Parker.

I was expecting good things from this book, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I couldn't feel any chemistry between the hero/heroine and found the plot line and delivery to be weak at best. Fortunately, there's a wide range of readers out there with different likes/dislikes, and I know others have enjoyed this book. I won't be continuing with this series.

David dreams of being a singer, and Sarah is a talent agent. Can they mix business with pleasure and come out on top? I loved this cowboy and city girl love story. Their chemistry was so hot, and I love a romance with a family who has your back. This was a great blend of love, family, career, and dreams. I loved it!!

This is book one in this cowboy romance, which is a trope I enjoy, add in the fact that he's a singer? I'm a happy girl.
Sarah is a music agent who stumbles upon David at a bar and knows he's got talent! David has dreams of being a performer outside his little world.
Things happen, drama happens and then more.
I really wanted to love this book but I wasn't 100% vested in this story. I didn't feel the chemistry but that could just be me.
I do like all the secondary characters and the fact that there will be more books in the series. Maybe there will be an enemies to lovers trope in a future book, which I can't ever pass up!

In this book, David is not just a sexy cowboy from Oklahoma, he also plays the guitar and can sing so beautifully. He is the whole package. Sarah is a petite woman and agent from Nashville that happens to hear David singing in a bar in Oklahoma, and she wants to sign him. I loved the relationship that develops between them. There is joking back and forth, as well as chemistry. My favorite quote from the book is, "I'd been so worried about finding a way to give David his dreams that I didn't realize he was giving me mine." This says so much about this book. I also really love that it is The Dawson Brothers Book 1. That means that we are going to get more from the Dawsons. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced copy, and I loved it. I am now looking forward to the next book.

A man with a dream finds himself given the opportunity of a lifetime when a talent agent unexpectedly shows up with an offer that’s hard to refuse. Obligations to his family’s farm, as well as an intense attraction to each other, leaves both of their futures in doubt though in this erotically-charged romance full of sexy cowboys with stories of their own yet to tell.

David Dawson’s a loyal son and a hard worker whose whole life has revolved around his family’s farm. When picturing his future he always saw himself working the land and ultimately married to Ella. Her constant cheating though, including an encounter with his brother Ted, dimmed his future plans a bit but at least he still has his music to count on. With songs learned from his grandfather, and with songs written by himself that he sings at the local bar, there’s another dream he’s always had but never thought could come true as his family doesn’t support it. When city girl Sarah shows up her encouragement and belief in him have him contemplating going after his musical dream. But when family obligations again come to the forefront he’ll be left feeling lost and alone...especially after his mother sabotages his burgeoning romance with Sarah. It’s a rocky road to HEA as misunderstandings and fears keep readers guessing until the very satisfying end. David’s a drool-worthy hero who always tries to do what’s right. He honors his father but is resentful too for the pressure and guilt he always feels from the man who’s never even heard him sing. His father too has kept his sons isolated by not letting them have cell phones or computers which further keeps David in his place. I wish David had stood up for himself sooner, fought for his dream instead of making excuses. Though I’m grateful Sarah pushed him to go after his dream, there were times I felt he was doing it more for her instead of himself. Despite all that, he’s still deliciously appealing teeming with sensuality and charm, and I was rooting for him every step of the way.

Sarah Myers is feeling low when she finds herself in a small Oklahoma town in the middle of nowhere. With her heart broken, betrayed by someone she thought she loved, she’s immediately drawn to the sexy cowboy crooner and sets out to make him a star. With her job on the line she goes above the call of duty, in numerous scenes of her trying to help on the farm, to convince him she’s the one to make his dream come true. She soon finds her heart warring with her job though as a misunderstanding leaves her heart bruised but her still desperate to sign him to save her job. Despite the rockiness of their relationship Sarah never loses faith in David’s talent, she’s focused on everyone hearing his voice and I applauded her tenacity. She’s a likable and strong-willed heroine who surprised me with how well she fit in on the farm despite her citified ways. Though her quick assumption of his duplicity disappointed me I was glad it didn’t keep them apart for long, with her being the one to make amends, which ultimately renewed my faith in her. On a whole I found Sarah to be a good match for David as she was the only one to have complete faith in his talent and was the driving force in him finally going after what he’s always wanted.

This was an entertaining story that went on a tad too long and took a few soap opera-ish turns along the way but still kept me riveted to the page. It’s a fun and flirty romance too full of erotic encounters that had me blushing but feeling charmed as well because of David’s gentlemanly words and deeds. Sarah and David are a combustible couple who clearly can’t keep their hands off each other in numerous scorching encounters. They’re committed to making him a star but also committed to his family who Sarah quickly claimed as her own as she eventually won all of them over. Alongside this likable main couple were the rest of the Dawson clan. While their father was a bit abrasive and overly set in his ways he ultimately came around and showed his support in a subtle decision he made that changed the brother’s dynamics. The Dawson brothers are a sexy bunch, notorious for their ways with the ladies, but dedicated to their father and their farm. Each one made their presence known as the story progressed and I look forward to seeing more of them as each has a bit of baggage weighing on them. Older brother Ted is a bit mean, bitter over who’s really in charge of the farm, and carrying a bruised heart over what could’ve been with their rival’s daughter. He constantly pokes at David, makes him doubt his talent, but when it mattered most he was there for him in seeing the truth of his feelings for Sarah. Middle brother Mason is mysterious, popular with the ladies too, with a love life left hanging at the end of this story. Youngest brother Luke is sweet, almost like a puppy with his exuberance, and his encounters are also well-known as his brothers seem to enjoy mocking him over them. They’re a colorful and larger-than-life bunch of brothers who fully tempted me throughout this book and I’m greatly anticipating what comes next for them and recommend this book to all those who love sexy cowboys.

A Captivating & Heartfelt Romance! Awesome Narration🎧

Always on My Mind
The Dawson Brothers, Book 1
By: Ali Parker
Narrated by: Christopher Solon

I throughly enjoyed this first book of The Dawson Brothers series, it is well-written with interesting storylines that grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it all the way to the end. The characters are likable and nicely developed as well as realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. David is the oldest Dawson brother, it is a given that he will be the one to run the ranch when his father can no longer do it himself. Music is where David’s heart is at and he dreams of becoming an accomplished musician, but he continues to be the dutiful son working on the family farm. He gets to live out some of his music dreams by performing at Kinsey’s, the local bar, some evenings. Sarah, a talent agent for a record company, was on her way to Nashville after a failed attempt to sign a new artist. She gets lost in Oklahoma and finds herself in the middle of nowhere, but she comes upon a hotel to stay in with a bar next door. After getting a room she goes for to have a drink, not exactly fitting in but she does like what she hears, the talented artist on the stage has it all, the sound and the looks and she thinks he could be the next big thing. Now she has to convince him of that, she missed the opportunity that night but she remained determined and goes to find him at his family’s ranch the next day. She is out of her element, but that does not stop her and she goes with it all and spends time with him and the two get to know each other. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is an entertaining and beautifully plotted story with plenty of drama, both relationship and family, heartfelt emotions and a steamy romance. Ali Parker, thank you for this great story and emotional rollercoaster ride, I am looking forward to hearing the other Dawson brothers stories, I hope they come to audio soon.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Christopher Solon is a talented narrator and voice artist. He had a complete understanding of the characters he portrayed, giving each a voice that suited that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable in every role he played and just as I pictured the character to sound. He set the perfect tone for the story, handled all the dialogue with effortless without missing a beat. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captured the characters’ emotions and projected them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.

An Awesome Read!!!

I loved reading Always On My Mind(Dawson Brothers Book 1). All about David Dawson who is twenty-six a cowboy/rancher & country singer and Sarah a Talent music recruiter from Tennessee. She got lost on her way back to Tennessee in a little town in Iowa, where she goes to a pub and hears David play. She knows right away she has got to get him to come back to Nashville and record a tape, he’s that good. The author wrote a story about a young women who just needs a break!! Read about David & Sarah and see how they both together make each other’s dreams come true. Included with this first book is 8 additional books. Book 1 Jaded, about Kari Martin who found her fiancé cheated on her the night before there wedding. So she calls it off and leaves NYC and goes to Maine with her two BFF’s. They have rented a mini mansion on the water, and there are three bedrooms one for each girl. First night they are there Kari & Sicily go into town to a tiny market and get fixings for dinner. While in the market she runs into a very cute guy named Jake Issac who recommends a white wine for chicken dinner. Jake & Kari hit it off and soon become boyfriend & girlfriend. Book 2 Judged is about Lisa a Real Estate Broker & Kari’s BFF and Marc Martin a twenty-one year old brother to Kari and a Biology Major at college. The two hit it off as they drive from NYC to Maine, and continue to flirt and carry on until Marc heads back to NYC for college. The long distance relationship is killing them, but they finally get together and it’s magic! Book 3 is about Sicily Moretti and she’s the third BFF and a baker & Drake DeMarco the Gym owner & Jake’s BFF. He comes over to help the girls paint the bakery and he falls instantly in love with Sicily. Can Their Love Overcome All?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is one country love story that I did enjoy very much! Ali Parker has spun her magic and delivered this story about a handsome rancher called David who works on the Family ranch but instead of wanting to be a rancher like his dad and younger brothers he wants to sing like his grandpa. One night he's at the local bar when a beautiful woman walks in and attracts his attention as she is a stunner and not a local. He plays his songs on stage and this is when Sarah introduces herself to him. She's been sent by her boss to look for talent and he is the whole package with the looks, the voice, the charm and is a real life cowboy! The attraction between them is off the charts and they can't keep away from each other. the chance of really singing on stage as a proper singer in Nashville is all he's dreamt about but his Family don't agree. In fact they will do anything in their power to stop him leaving with Sarah whom he is already falling in love with. The day they are leaving everything is put on hold as his mum is rushed to hospital. With Sarah's boss not helping, his family totally against him going and his mum ill what will happen to them. For whilst the chance to sing was one aspect the love that he found with Sarah was mind blowing that he can't forget about her either. Ali has created such wonderful characters in this story and I sincerely hope that David's brothers will also get their HEAs. There is everything in this book from attraction at first sight, family loyalties, angst, and two lovers torn apart but can their love overcome all adversities? To find out you need to get a copy of this book and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. A real page turner that draws you in from page 1 and keeps you there till the last. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

Always on my mind, is the first in The Dawson Brothers series, this is a rancher romance, I have read other books of Ali Parker and this is the first I received as an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing it. David Dawson, oldest of the four Dawson brothers, their family run a ranch and his parents wants him take care of it as the eldest one and get settled with a family, probably with his ex fiancee, Ella. But David had other plan, he wants to make big in the music industry, for now he plays guitar and sings in Kinsley's bar at his hometown with his band and to keep the reason of his break up with Ella a secret for his parents goodwill. Sarah, an agent returning to her hometown Tennessee from Texas after a ill fate in her career, after driving for long, she drops to a motel to stay for a night enters to the bar next to the motel facility, where she meets David. Sarah listens to his music and feels she can still get back to her career, she reaches him with the idea of launching him for the company she is working. They get to meet again and again and eventually fall in love and do make love, but before they could proceed with their plan, a small stunt pulled by David's mother tears them apart.
Will they get back together, will Sarah be able to Launch him, will his parents support the career he loves and what are the other obstacles they have face is the remaining story. This book is a full length steamy rancher romance, I loved every part of it.

PS: Well, I didn't feel David as a Bad Boy, he is rugged and sizzled but the good one among the brothers.

Sarah is a new Agent for a Prestigious Talent Agency who is on the hunt for a New Artist with Mind- Blowing Talent that will Bring in the Bacon .
When she finds David , a Country singer with old school roots , a wicked Smile and a Hot body , she knows she has to sign him or it could mean her Job .
David has wanted to be a singer like his grandfather all his life , but being a southern gentleman family responsibilities got in the way . When a Beautiful woman finds him singing in the local dive bar and promises him a recording contract. He doesn't know what he wants more the girl or the chance to live out his Dreams of singing under those Bog Bright Lights ??
But is it possible when Family Obligations , lies ,Sketchy Bosses and Love get in the way ?

It's been a while since I've really enjoyed a Beautifully Written, Country HEA Romance.
I love David , a southern Gentleman , who puts his family first and doesn't run from his responsibilities , even if his dreams are lost because of them .They don't make many male characters that solid anymore.
Sarah is a very sweet city girl just trying to make ends meet and winds up having to choose between her job and the man she's fallen in love with ..... mistakes can cost you everything , even when you don't know what you want yet .
I loved their chemistry together even during the fights & Drama ....Sexy , strait out of the gate .

David Dawson has aspirations of a singing career, but that doesn't mix well with Ranch life. One that has been in his family for a long time- his brothers Ted, Luke, Mason, His Mother, and Father are all intricate parts of the well-oiled machine; they are not keen on the idea of David chasing some dream that will take him away from the family and his real responsibilities.
When Sarah a talent agent shows up in the little dive bar Kinsleys for a drink and respite she hears Davids voice, she knows he is the real deal and cannot let him go.
Sarah finds out quickly he is more than just a raw voice talent, he is all man, and the instant attraction between the Cowboy and the city girl is off the charts and almost too much to handle, can she get this too good to be real cowboy a record deal and keep her heart intact? Will Davids family let him go?

Oh my! I am funny about these Cowboy/ Ranch type romances, to me, this one is the perfect mix of pure emotion, alphaness, drama plot twist and downright panty melting yumminess! With of course the maddening relationship ups and downs and meddlesome interference. I loved this story! I enjoyed the fact that characters I did not like to start off with grew on me by the end and having me wanting them to find their HEA.
A beautifully written, free-flowing story- I need more about the other brothers-- I hope it's soon-- no pressure!
Definitely worth the read!

Always on My Mind
The Dawson Brothers, Book 1
By: Ali Parker
Narrated by: Christopher Solon

David is the oldest Dawson brother, and is expected to take over the ranch. His heart is not in it though. He loves to sing, and he performs in the evening with his band and Kinsey's Bar regularly. Sarah is a music agent, arriving in town with a broken heart. When she hears David sing, she knows he is the entire package. Good looks and talent, she wants to get to know him better. But it's not all business with these two. The chemistry is there and the promise of success in the future. David's family interference causes some problems though, and now on outs, David has decided to give up music and stay on the ranch. Will things ever change? Will Sarah come back? Will his family let him pursue his dreams? The Dawson family is so much fun to get to know. The banter between the four brothers is key to the story building, letting us get to know the pecking order of them, as well as feel the closeness of the family. I love the world building this book has given the series and after enjoying David and Sarah's journey, I am ready for more time on the ranch!

Christopher Solon gives an amazing performance with all the characters he portrayed. A slight Midwestern twang brings David his country singer feel and he easily transitions to Sarah. I enjoyed all of his different voices for the brothers and his dad, and his mother and ex! He is a wonderful storyteller and I can't wait for more.

What a great start to a new series by Ali Parker. David is a country boy who has always helped out on his family's ranch and being the oldest is next in line to run it, but his true passion is singing. Sarah is an agent from a music label and after she sees David performing in a small town bar, where she stopped for night on her way back home, she wants to sign him recognizing his special talent.
What happens next is the sparks fly between them but they are met with a lot resistance from his family who have never seen him perform, an ex-fiancée of his that stirs trouble and her boss that wants to get rid of her and want David for herself. All the while the two grow closer and start falling in love but will love be enough to get them through?
What I loved most about this book is the characters were genuine and drew you in, David was a true gentleman and always had Sarah's best interest at heart and Sarah was a hard worker and even helped out on the ranch when she was needed. A great love story that I thoroughly enjoyed, you won't be disappointed. Can't wait for the others and read about David's brothers and their stories.

Wow, this is great read! Recommended for anyone who loves a good love story.
Sarah is a talent agent that is down on her luck. She is lost in the middle of nowhere but somehow ends up at a dive bar with live entertainment. Instead of hearing some cover band that she was expecting she hears all originals and a very hot singer on vocals. She knows then that she has found the man that will help her career.
David has worked on the ranch his entire life but singing has always been his dream. When the little hot thing from the bar shows up at the ranch and tells him that she is an agent and would like to represent him he really doesn’t know what to make of her. He has chores to do, but she is willing to tag along.
They both fall hard for each other but nothing seems to go right for them. David's mother is in the hospital and Sarah’s boss has given her a deadline to bring him in or she will be out of a job. Is Sarah willing to risk her career for him, and will David leave the ranch in his family’s time of need?

This was a great read by Ali Parker. David has always wanted to be a professional singer, but knew he was expected as the oldest son to work his family's ranch. Along with his brothers, he works long, hard hours on the ranch. But a couple nights a week, he sings at Kinsey’s Bar. Sarah is city girl who gets lost and ends up at the bar after a long day driving. She is a struggling agent for a music label in Nashville looking for her next star. Thoroughly exhausted, she checks into the hotel next door before heading to Kinsey's for a drink. She is mesmerized when David starts singing. She is determined to sign him to her label. After meeting him, sparks fly between them. Both are attracted to each other. Spending time together they begin to fall in love, but throw in family drama, a sick parent, a cheating ex-fiance and a couple misunderstandings, their road to happiness is not too smooth. Will David finally get to pursue his singing career or will he allow family to come between him and Sarah? I received this book in exchanged for an honest review.

David, the talented hometown country singer, has aspirations to make it to the big time. His father and family don't have faith in him telling him it's only a dream. His responsibility as the oldest son is only the family ranch.
When Sarah came into town, she happened to stop by the local bar. As a talent agent, she knew she saw the next big country star. but how can she convince him to go against his families wishes to chase his dream?
It's the first time since his breakup he even considered a relationship. But is Sarah only interested in him only to become his agent?
Sarah and David relationship, is steamy, hot, full of angst, and self doubts.
Ali Parker story gives Sarah the confidence and backbone to stand up for what she wants. She overcomes her fear of not being good enough and being a failure.
Chrisopher Solin narration is very good. His voices and personalities for each character were spot on! his ability to transition from one character to the other is flawless.I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.

This is a stand-alone book, the Dawson Brother’s series, and follows the characters of eldest Dawson brother, handsome singer David Dawson and the beautiful city girl agent, Sarah Myers. As Sarah stumbles through the town of Oklahoma, lost on her way home she makes her way to the local bar, Kinsey’s, to stop and grab a drink. Enter David, and as he sings on the small stage Sarah finds herself wanting nothing more than to help the cowboy, and hopefully save her job in the process. As Sarah follows David home, she tries to work her angle hoping to get him to come back to the city with her, but things take a turn when the pair begin to feel sparks flying between them. Will one night of passion ruin her chance at representing a new face? Will David be able to put the farm aside and make his dreams come true? Can’t wait to read the next book in this series to see what happens with the next Dawson brother.

David is the eldest Dawson brother and is expected to help his father with their ranch but what he really wants to do is sing. He sings at Kinsey's in town which is their local bar. Sarah is on her way home from Dallas and is exhausted and just happens to come upon Kinsey's which is not only a bar but has a few rooms. It's perfect for a nice to rest and relax. When David takes the stage, Sarah can't take her eyes off of him because he is so talented. He wants to be a singer outside of town and Sarah just happens to be an agent and is desperately looking for someone who has the talent to make it. Will she be able to talk him into taking a chance? What will his family think about him wanting to leave the ranch is he does? We all know when family gets involved in your personal life, it doesn't always go as planned. This is another well written book by Ali Parker. David Dawson was great to read about and I cannot wait to read about the rest.

David and Sarah are perfect together. David's everything that makes for the best of romantic heroes. He's kind, a gentleman, loves his whole family, and he even has tons of musical talent. But before you start thinking he's too perfect, he has his flaws too: he puts his family's needs ahead of his own and he's not so good at communicating outside of his music. Sarah's a dynamic, little spitfire that's been burned by life a few too many times - she's got the iron walls protecting her marshmallow heart to prove it. She challenges David to live his dreams while he forces her to recognize her own. It hurt my heart every time misunderstandings came between them, but I loved watching these two learn how to put themselves and their relationship first in their priorities. I anxiously look forward to reading the rest of the Dawson brothers.

David is the eldest of the Dawson boys and is the main helper on the family ranch. Everyone is dependent on him but he has a passion for singing and wants to pursue his dream. Sarah, a talent scout meets him by accident in a local dive bar that she stops at after her failure to sign a singer. She's blown away by his musical talent and his good looks. When she offers him a contract to come to Nashville and sing, he is torn between his dream and his family responsibility. He finds that he's falling in love with Sarah but there's lots of drama with an ex girlfriend and family. Things get strained when his mother is rushed to the hospital and he has to put family first. No spoiler here, but a great love story that will capture your emotions and have you page turning and wanting more. I read an advance copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Very well written short story with great storyline and plot. A hot romance. I liked this story a lot. It is about taking the chance and letting go. To come out of your shell. Who would not love a cowboy with a golden voice? Ali Parker has written a romance that makes you melt and the tissues flying in the room.

There is drama, passion, emotions, hot scenes and lots of chemistry in this amazing story. I like to hear what happens in the future so the epilogue was welcomed. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters.

I like the main characters and how they develop. Their chemistry is amazing. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The overall story is cute and sweet, but there are issues with this book. It needs better editing. There are simple mistakes that should have been caught and fixed before publishing. The title is cute, especially since it refers to a country song, but it doesn't fit this book. Calling it a bad boy romance is also a stretch. I wouldn't remotely consider David a bad boy. Some of the book also felt off, like the parts weren't connected right. I liked the story, though, so I will read the next in the series. I just hope Ted's story is done better. I don't like that he slept with Ella or has been a manwhore since Lauralee. I don't like books in which people break up and get back together later on after having slept with other people. It's gross and detracts from their love story, so I'm hoping there are reasons that will make Ted's story palatable. I'm nervous because I think it's gonna be sad and gross, but I'll give it a chance since I love David and Sarah, and their story ended up great.

I voluntarily read the arc copy of this book. Ali Parker does it again. She gives her readers a wonderful story that touches on so many subject- family, romance, dreams - all topics we can find in our own lives.
David wants to be a singer but ranching is the family business. With little to no support from his family you lives his dream playing at the local bar.
Sarah is supposed to be signing a new singer, but its a bust. On her way back home she tops at the bar and hears David.
BAM love just stops these two in their tracks.
Can Sarah's support and faith in his ability give David the push he needs to pursue his dream, while not feeling like he is neglecting his family?
Wonderful story great start to a series.

What...

Book 1

What an awesome start to the series!
David Dawson is the oldest of four brothers who are all ranchers on their families cattle ranch. At night David plays guitar and sings both his and his grandfather's songs in the local small town bar.
Sarah is a talent agent from Nashville, who got a bit lost driving from Texas back to Tennessee, and ended up hearing David sing. She was mesmerized by his voice, and by him!
The story, personalities, problems, and sybling rivalries are so on point you almost feel you are right there with them. The chemistry, communication issues, and emotions portrayed between Sarah and David were perfect. Can't wait to read the next book!
