• Try to master the art of controlling your emotions. Life has to be lived in phases. That is how it is designed. We were not the first ones.•
.
The hero is the story of Abi, your average Chennai boy, with big dreams of becoming an actor. It's his journey from college where he finds his love to the struggle of becoming an actor.
He was appreciated for his skills when he was in college. The small little bubble of college busted and Abi struggles to accept the realities of life. Will Abi become a successful actor? Will he live happily ever after with his love?.
.
It's a story of all the struggles that Abi goes through. How he was forced to give up on his passion and take up a normal job. Abi finds his way back into love and also a way to pursue his dream. What happens next?
.
It's a rollercoaster ride that takes us through the ups and downs of
a man‘s life. The plot of the story is interesting, filled with twists. I liked the crisp and engaging narration of the book. The way the author expressed the struggles, all those emotions that Abi felt be it love or heartbreak, I found it honest. Yes, the author's writing is honest and relatable. One could feel Abi's journey, his struggles well.

Hero is an interesting and enjoyable tale of a boy from Chennai named Abi who aspires to be a hero in the film industry. Abi is a likeable guy who has many friends who love him and trust him. However, as life is seldom a cakewalk and is almost always full of ups and downs Abi also faces his share of struggles in the form of heartbreak and deception and is forced to give up his dream of becoming a hero.

But as the sun never keeps shining indefinitely, similarly the rainy clouds can't keep pouring water forever, hence Abi's bad days also have an end. Will life give him a chance to fulfill his dream? Will he become a hero?

The book is a very interesting and enjoyable read. The writing style is lucid and beautiful, the language used is simple making this book an easy read for everyone. The story and the characters are nice, Abi's character is likeable and you can also relate with the story many times. There are many other characters which are nicely written and feel real. I liked the storytelling in this book, it was a gripping read and I enjoyed reading it.

As they say, setting certain aspirations for your own self is nice, but having to fulfill them can be an exhilarating task, and the true testament is how we tackle the tough situations.

Regardless of this, one thing which we all should always keep in mind is that the hardships that we might face today is only going to build our strength for tomorrow.

In the book, ‘Hero’ by Abhishek Krishnan, we see the struggle of the main protagonist who is not doing so great when his friend meets him after a long time.

We are then taken back to where it all began and reading about this entire journey and process that led Abhishek to the present was simply outstanding.

Instead of sugar coating things, author has presented reality where things will not always be easy but there will be rather ups and downs, just like in real life, hence I am going to give this FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Every one of us, at some point in time, think - "Wish I could go back to by college"… momentarily, we are transported to our imaginary world, remembering all those days, friends, classes, fun…Suddenly we are shaken by the harsh reality & bought back to the present life… how we missing those days.

Amazing!! Hats off to Abhishek the author, who thought of this unique, out of the world concept. The way the story begins & gathers momentum. Each & every event the author has conceptualized is brilliant. Your story strikes the right emotions at every point, Abhishek. You truly transported us back to our past, gave hope for the future.
I loved how the college was quite supportive ( same as same generally happen in all college ) of the student's request. How the lecturers, the principal went out of their way in organizing, planning each & every day for those students... especially getting the painting done of the incidences that happen in each students life. Unfortunately, when I tried to recall any such incident from my college days, nothing came to my mind. The tornado called "corporate life" had wiped off that memory, those golden days from my brain. I don't remember most of my college life.
This book made me pause, rewind & think abt my past days, that's when I realized, I spent 3 years in college, and these 3 years were the best. And other Rest time was wasted, no fun, dint have good company 😁.
To go back to that college again, relive those 3 years; Is very strong after reading the book….. Wow. At the same time disappointed that I cannot relive that... That's why I am jealous of these students 😁. Nevertheless, the author, through this book gives us the chance to go back & relive those days again. So from now on.. whenever l miss my college friends..those days. I will simply read this book.
Talk about the story
The whole story of this book revolves around abi, he is the main and the important characteristics of this book.
Hero is the story of abi, a Chennai boy, who was dreaming to become an actor, he was gaining too much popularity in college with his effortless display talents,

Hero by Abhishek Krishnan tells a tale of how dreams sometimes remain just dreams, that is until they come true. The plot opens up with Avi in a bar, heartbroken and lost swallowing down numerous whiskey on the rocks, and that's where he meets his long lost college best friend. It further proceeds from there into the past and starts with one eventful day at college.
Dreams are weird you know, one will work hard towards it, non stop, with so much passion until they just do not or cannot, life happens after all. And if the dream doesn't go with the life in a safe manner one has to stop. It's a thing a lot of us know very well really. This book by Abhishek Krishnan pens out a tale which is bound to make you feel nostalgic and remind you of your college days. It reminded me of my school days really, because you see I am in college now, but the point is that it will make you nostalgic. Nostalgic with the good times, tearful of the hard truth that those whom you thought will be there with you for the rest of your life are maybe not there anymore. And most important of all it will remind you of a past version of yourself which had so much life, so many dreams.
All that is what it will make you feel. Coming to the writing, it is good, it is simple and very lucidly written. And written with so much feeling. Iam still not sure if it is part autobiographical from the writers part or not, but it feels as if it is. I loved the way the plot unfolded, I have no complaints.
Will recommend to those who enjoy reading a good contemporary fiction which depicts life as it is. Looking forward to reading more from the author.

Qotd: Which is your favourite book to movie adaptation?

'A picture is worth a thousand words.'-
The cover itself says what the book is going to be all about. But that does not mean it is just around film industry it is about the people in the film industry, the hero, the people around him and his life.

Favourite quote from the book: "The world outside is not going to be a walk in the moon. You will be washed, battered, wrung and put out to dry. It is the character in you that will help you withstand the situations."

About the book:

The book penned by author Abhishek Krishnan could also be considered his autobiography. The story starts with his college days. The fun with friends, the dialogues all keep the reader wanting to read more.
I found the description of college life, friends done in a very natural manner not like any college out of a Karan Johar movie😅.

There are experiences of cultural clubs, with his friends, girlfriend and more in the college life section.

After this the story moves towards the life after college, the challenging part(read my fav quote from the book for reference). The real life problems start coming up, the film industry is not at all easy for an outsider. But still the author comes out bouncing back after facing each problem.

Something happens after years, which brings him back in contact with his college friends. And his birthday becomes the most memorable day of his life.

I personally felt that this book would do very well if adapted into a movie, it has a perfect movie script. Overall a good read.

My opinion: The book can be classified as 18+ and some parts might not be suitable for readers below that age

Hero written by Abhishek Krishnan is a very nice book to read. I must admit that the book is quite intriguing. The author is the one who brings the story to life by depicting the conditions adequately. This book is full of fascinating components. In this situation, there is no time for boredom. There are far too many factors to think about. What a beautiful piece of work!

The protagonist, a boy named Abi, wants to become a hero. His undergraduate years are where the story begins. He is supported in life by an amazing network of friends and a loving family. He encounters difficulties breaking into the field and is repeatedly duped. The book includes both the dreams and heartbreaks and rejections that people experience. What comes after that? Can he become a hero? After reading this book, you will know it on your own.

This is a nice book to read when you have some free time. The title of the book is both appropriate and contextually relevant. The book's cover is quite well-designed, and the author deserves praise. The writing style is plain and understandable. The wording is clear and simple to understand. Overall, it was an enjoyable read for me. Best of luck with your reading.

Wonderful Read
Loved it for its beautiful narration which is kinda non linear.
Swings back and forth to the past and present.

Cinema is not a cake walk. We see the brighter side of it. You will find the other side if you get to read this book.

For a debut novel, this is something great. So much conviction and dedication in the narration. Its an easy and interesting read.

Go for it. You won't regret.

Who is a Hero?

A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life. A role model. The central figure in any important event or period, honoured for outstanding qualities, or the main protagonist in a work of fiction, mainly in novels and movies.

Hero by Abhishek Krishnan is a tale of love, obsession, and following your ambitions and targets. This is the story of Abi, any average boy, with full-size dreams of becoming an actor and taking the screen by the storm. It's his passage from college where he finds his love for the struggle of becoming an actor. And later how he was forced to give up on his obsession with acting and take up an average job.

The writing style and storytelling are lucid and beautiful, and not with made-up plots and characters. The language used is simple which makes this book an easy read for everyone. This can be a great starting book for the ones who want to cultivate a reading habit. The storyline is relevant and astonishing as it has twists, turns, distress, obsession, drama and stratagem.

In my opinion, this book would do incredibly well if adapted into a movie, it has a perfect movie script and all the masala needed for a movie. Overall a good read.

Title: Hero
Author: Abhishek Krishnan

Review:

“Hero” by Abhishek Krishnan is an absolutely intriguing piece of fiction that takes readers on a roller coaster ride of emotions and feelings emanating from its dramatic yet touching story.

Sprawled over two hundred and ninety four pages, it captures the story of Abhi, a young bright boy from Chennai who’s full of dreams and aspirations. His talent and dedication to become an actor finds wings to fly as he shines and proves his worth in his college. But the achievements in safe and sheltered life of college doesn’t have much value in the real world and Abhi soon realises this as he emerges out of college’s chrysalis. Dictated by phrase “might is right” the world orients Abhi to the harsh realities of life. How will Abhi adapt to these changes, will he succumb or his passion for life will let him sail his boat in the rough waters.

Overall, written in a simple and lucid language with strong characters and engrossing plot, “Hero” is profound, relatable and fast paced read that keeps readers hooked to the story and inspires them in multiple ways. A perfect read for a lazy monsoon Sunday.

Would recommend it to everyone!

Things seem to be going great when we are cocooned in our own little bubble, where we are seemingly the ace of our own life.

But reality sets in when we venture out and actually see just how competitive the real world is and how very much different it actually is than what we conjured up.

As they say, bubbles have a way of bursting and deflating, and that is exactly what happens with our main protagonist Abi, from the book, ‘Hero’ by author Abhishek Krishnan.

The journey which our main lead has embarked upon is most certainly ambitious and not something that is easily achievable, but he has that determination. Now is it enough to sustain him or will his dreams shatter remains to be seen.

I liked how the author has kept this book extremely realistic and shown us the actual setbacks and hardships that actors face rather than just glamorizing the entertainment industry.

Reading the book shows us how no matter what situations we are dealt with, if we keep focus and continue to work hard, there will be nothing that can stop us from getting what we want. Hence I am going to give this FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hero is the tale of love, passion and chasing your dreams. The plot revolves Abi, a talented guy who dreams of becoming an actor, he has envisioned his life beautifully but what happens when reality sets in and life takes you on a unexpected ride. His dreams take a back seat. Will Abi be able to fulfill his dreams?
The small little bubble of college is burst and Abi struggles to accept the realities of life.
I found the book to be absolute treasure, the writing style and storytelling is immensely readable, not dense with sound and relatable plot and characters.
It's a comforting, digestible story presented with endearing character arcs.
The direction the plot took completely surprised, needless to say it was filled with twists, passion, drama and intrigue. The author has a done a great job portraying all the mishaps and mayhem when it comes to chasing your dreams and happiness in India especially when it comes to acting, with a heavy dose of delectable drama.

The setting and writing was superb, plot unfolding wholesome and i loved it.
Overall a good light hearted beautiful book to escape into.

Abhishek Krishnan's novel HERO is about love, passion, and pursuing your aspirations. It centres on the thoughts and feelings of a very ordinary man who battles and overcomes many obstacles in order to realise his aspirations. This book will jog your memories of your time in school, your most memorable crush, and your friends.

This narrative centres on the character Abi, who has a vivid dream of one day becoming a HERO! He works really hard and makes every effort to achieve his goals. Unfortunately, he has a difficult time breaking into the field and is repeatedly duped. Even when Abi is unjustly rejected, he does not retreat. He is supported in life by a wonderful family, Shruthi, and an amazing circle of friends.

The writing style and storytelling are incredibly reading, not overly dense with a compelling and relevant plot and characters, and I felt the book to be an outstanding treasure. It goes without saying that the plot's turn stunned everyone and was chock-full of surprises, passion, drama, and intrigue.

Quite predictable

Perseverance is a key to success.. however you fail in your attempts, it is necessary to get back to your goal.

This book talks about how cinema could suck not only the money but also patience, energy from people who tries to grab a seat in it.

Abhishek, an aspiring actor shares his story with us. Where his love for cinema started, where it took him, how people abandoned/ demotivated him and finally where he stood in his goal..

Normal, next door guy with sincerity in everything he does makes us admire his character.

His college and present life takes us to different atmosphere. Though I could predict where it was taking me , a small twist at the end gave a different view to the story.

How the society could exploit the people in need is clearly shown.

B/w I loved his office love Sushmita more than his college love Shruthi.

It's high time to teach our kids to go for their passion and make them the learn the art of patience till they achieve it.

Join the dark world of Cinema through the lens of the author Abhishek Krishnan. It's filmy and dramatic from the beginning to the end of the book "Hero." The book cover is impressive, and the title fits the book script.

The devotion often causes one to be muddle-headed. The emotional fools get trapped in a vicious net following their dream in the glamorous world. Did Abhishek become a victim, too?

Abi, a regular student, is keen to be an actor. Unfortunately, he struggles to enter the industry and gets conned multiple times. Abi is rejected without reason, yet he does not step back. He has an incredible group of friends, Shruthi, and a lovely family to help him throughout his life.

After years of not getting a role to act, Abi joins a call center, but his life does not turn good. He loses all hope of staying strong in life after one incident. Stay put to know more about Abi and his friends. An incredible book deals with love, friendship, movies, heartbreaks, and dreams.

Who is a 'Hero'?
What makes a 'Hero'?
Does becoming a 'Hero' an easy task?
Do you also fascinate at the sight of a heroic personality either in real or reel life ? If yes, then this book will show you all the true colours of what exactly a hero's life is all about.
The wonderful and astonishing read will help you enjoy all the various phases dealt by a hero at different levels. Our hero, Abi was a sweetheart at college . Having the best of all the worlds, love, friendship, fame and name. But when the college life comes to an end so thus the easy fame.
Yes, Abi is devasted with the reality. Broken seeing the harsh world and the bitter experiences of life. But as we know the tougher the path the sweeter will be the result. So read Abi's tale to experience for yourself that how life takes us through a roller coaster ride.
Expressed beautifully in a simplified format for better understanding. Loved it ❤️

This book, HERO written by Abhishek Krishnan is a fictional story. It revolves around the feelings and emotions of a very common man who struggles and goes through a lot of problems to achieve his dreams ! We could easily relate to this story as many of us go through these phases in our own lives.

But, fate plays a game in his life ! Would Abi ever be able to achieve his desire to become a HERO ? What happens next forms the rest of the story !

An interesting novel....

So without further ado here is a story of a young boy whose life is full of entertainment, distraction, reassurance and inspiration. It has love for life, dreams and the fantastical world of passion. It revolves around Abi, a college boy who is appreciated and loved by all. He has good friends who are with him always.

Abi dreams of becoming a hero. But as he steps out of college and enters into this rat race world, he comes across struggle, heartbreak and rejection. He somehow gathers himself. This is a pragmatic journey that depicts the real emotions. How Abi gathers himself and starts again to make his dreams true is worth reading.

Author has given an amazing cover that goes well with the content within. Keeping the language simple but storyline powerful a perfect novel for film aspirants and for all who just enjoy reading.

Hero is a simple story that reminded me that humans may need air and water to live and breathe but they are only truly alive when they have hope in their hearts and striving towards fulfilling a dream.

The story of Abhi is a story that is relatable to everyone. Frog in a well, a famous fable told us the story of a frog who lived in a well. He would daily look up at the starts in the sky and think this is what the whole world is but unknown to him there's more sky and land outside the well.

Abhi is like the frog in a well. He was popular and talented in acting, confident by the praises piled on him throughout his college days but reality and rejected crashed in after he entered to earn a living by his talent.

This book is a gentle reminder that we should never give on dreaming and trying to pursue them.

Hero" by Abhishek Krishnan is a story of Abi, a Chennai boy,who aspires to become an Actor.
The way his character is portrayed relatable and real.
I was nostalgic reading about his college life, friends, love and a lot more.
The Chennai style dialogues and lifestyle was appropriate. So is the cover and name of the chapters.

What happens to his dream?what were his struggles and hurdles to achieve success?
I had many such questions throughout.
With other characters in the story,Abi's story becomes intriguing and heart wrenching.

I reckon the readers will feel a lot of emotions.
The writing style and narration appealed to me.

The story is medium paced without missing the grip of it.
It was compelling and engaging at the same time.

The story can be read by any reader who loves serious romantic fiction. The language used is universal, and hence it is recommended to everyone. The narration is one of the good parts of the book.
How good are the language and grammar?
Colloquial language with good and easy vocabulary constructs are used in the story. Though the story is romantic fiction yet there is no mention of obscene or explicit contents. This makes the reader comfortable and can consume the feeling of love entirely. I like his intrinsic descriptions of things, places and most importantly, the characters' emotions in his story.
Like a good and perfect evening, the author’s story allures with every element to please the readers in every possible manner.

Final Verdict
An interesting tale of unconditional love!

The book, "HERO" by Abhishek Krishnan is a very interesting story of tripping feelings and emotions in the life of a man.

The story revolves around the protagonist, Abi, who has a dream to be an actor.

As we know, that nothing in the life comes easy. In a film industry, a person comes across many challenges.
Likewise, Abi also faces a lot of troubles, he comes across the bad people who take advantage of him to meet their own purpose.
Abi gets rejected unpurposefully and he decides not to step into the path again.

The story is interesting and a page-turner one. The writing style is simple and easy to understand. Loved the story as it went in phases.

Enjoyed reading !

In Hero we get to read about the dark world of Cinema. Abi is keen to be an actor, he is a regular student, he fails many times. Inspite of being hardworking he is rejected many times. How Abi turns the tables around this story is all about that.

The story is really well written. Hats off to the author. This book is inspiring about the hard times of life. Abi, his dreams, his failures is truly relatable.

The language used is simple and lucid. The cover is attractive. I hope to see it as a se series some day.

A complete 5 star worthy book.

This book will help you to remember your school days, your most memorable crush and your companions. School Culturals and Wizguys is my #1 part. It helped me to remember my school days.
The composing style of the writer is grasping, keeping the peruser snared all through. From the absolute first page, the writer catches the peruser's consideration. The manner in which the creator fostered the story is admirable. In light of different subjects of kinship, love, battle, it tells how Cinema is difficult. It informs us regarding the more obscure side of film, something that stunned me.

The book is almost like an autobiography, different stages of a person's life in minute detail.
The book emcompasses the feelings if dreams and heartbreaks. It also throws light on friendships as well as family bonds that help tide through emotional lows.
The indomitable spirit of the protagonist to bounce back after each blow, to overcome every hurdle is laudable.
