After the devastating blow I received after completing Stunning Edge 2nd book, I found myself wandering what shall I read next. I tried resuming ESP, but I couldn't forget Claire's image in my memory. I tried reading Zhan Long or Ancient Godly Monarch, but to no avail. Until I found this novel and I got liking of the relationship between Ning Xi and Lu Tingxiao that I started reading it.
The most amazing thing in the novel is how Xi reacts with Little Treasure and the warmth and affection that manifested through her actions, like a mother how found her long-lost child.

The story goes like this. The heroine, Ning Xi gets betrayed by her foster sister. She gets drugged and raped by a stranger, and pregnant. When the heroine is 7 months pregnant, drama occurs, evil sister steals her boyfriend and somehow the heroine gets a miscarriage.
5 years later, our heroine is back from abroad. She meets and saves a cute kid, and in return for saving the little bun, the kid’s rich CEO dad offers to marry her. Both the little bun and big bun get an instant liking to the heroine. And the big bun decides to pursue the heroine. It is heavily foreshadowed that the little bun might actually be the heroine’s baby. But we don’t know how it happened, was there possibly a baby swap? I have no idea.
There’s also a rags to riches story on the side because the heroine wants to be an actress. So it’s kinda like Skip Beat, with the heroine going on auditions and shoots and handling that side of the entertainment industry.
Hidden Marriage has the typical soap opera vibe, with a lot of revelations and a lot of saving/losing face involved. Chinese culture places a lot of importance on losing/saving face. There is a harem, and a reverse harem, love triangle, baby swap, hidden identity, red carpet, high-fashion elites, mob bosses, gender bender, gun fights, plotting and manipulation, kidnapping, family drama, showbiz, revenge, etc.
What I loved the most about this story are the characters. Little Bun is the best and most adorable fictional child I have ever had the pleasure to read. The main characters and the side characters are all awesome. The plot has its twists and turns but it doesn’t go over the top as well. You have to suspend your disbelief a bit and believe that such skilled people possibly exist.
This is a feel –good, moderately slow-burn, happy romantic comedy that doesn’t go too heavy on the drama while still packing enough emotional punch to get the angst-junkies going. Fair warning, it can get addictive.

Characters are amazing I feel like everyone has their own role in the story and keep me thrilled Everytime. Translator did amazing job maintaining release date and quality. Thank you for the hard work.

I thought this was a fan fic and was almost sad that I wouldn't be able to count this. But I am glad that this is on Goodreads :D. This was like if a chinese drama was in a novel form. It had action, drama, romance, fantasy. I could not stop reading this.

If I like all the chapters it will take forever. I sincerely like this story because of the characters. It might seem to be a typical love story but the way it's written will have you admiring the protagonist, loving most of the characters and despising the main antagonist and all the other bullies. Plus it has a badass female character and includes a child now who wouldn't fall for this story? #probablyjustme

This was an absolutely fun read. Though it is over 2000 chapters, it is a totally binge-worthy challenge. May draw back is the length the may draw is a fully realized tale. There are some editing issues, but the twists and turns of the read overshadow the editing issues a bit. The female lead is strong and her many counters complement her well. This was just an excellent wild read.

I loved the little bun and the koi fish but mostly because cabbage Lu remained true throughout the story. I abhor endless misunderstandings which some Chinese novels are well known for.

After I actually read through it for about almost more than 10 times. YES. IT IS THAT GOOD.
I still haven't found a book that can compare to this. Ahhhh so worth it to read. I truly recommend

This was a surprisingly good webnovel , with a really intresting plotline , the male and female lead were really cute and funny together , and a really really satisfying end for the bad people .
Also , surprisingly , the translation is is really good , almost on a professional level , with correct grammar and spelling most of the time , so kudos to the translation and editing teams 👏👏
