From the New York Times bestselling author of The Blueberry Lane series comes a new trio of romances featuring the Haven triplets!

Tierney Haven and Burr O’Leary come from completely different worlds…
…but there’s a reason they say “opposites attract.”

Bookish Tierney Haven has always preferred places to people, and she especially loves the peace and quiet of Moonstone Manor, an estate museum located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where she is head docent, chief historian and live-in caretaker. The very last thing she expects to find on her doorstep in the middle of the night is bruised and bloodied stranger, Burr O’Leary, in desperate need of her help.

Against her better judgement and at the risk of her brothers’ wrath, Tierney offers Burr sanctuary at Moonstone Manor, and nurses him back to health, surprised to discover that the dashing, enigmatic stranger loves the history and peace of Moonstone as much as she. But Burr has a dark history, and those who hurt him will stop at nothing to eliminate him...placing Tierney in grave danger until he is well enough to find them first.

I devoured this book! Tierney was a heroine that I totally fell in love with! It is rare for me to find a heroine I adore; but she dazzled me with her strength and humour! She was concerned an under dog throughout her life; but that didn’t stop her from being a feisty little woman! When she meets her hero, she begins to blossom into a woman who gives him a run for his money!

I was captivated from the first chapter right until the last! A terrific read that I highly recommend if you are looking for a low angst, sweet and funny read! Well worth checking it out! This is the second book in this series about The Irish triplets!!!

***4.5/5 Stars***

I absolutely adored Smiling Irish! The story started off with a bang in the middle of a dark and stormy night and I was glued to the pages. There was action, heartache, friendship, secrets, true love and I couldn't get enough of it!
He’d barged into her tidy life, turning it upside down, and yet…and yet, it was some of the most exciting fun she’d ever had. She didn’t want him to go. Not even a little bit.

Tierney Haven was the sweetest woman ever, and I came to care for her in the previous book, Fighting Irish. She loved her happy, quiet little life....well almost all of it. Once her brother, Rory, became involved with Brittney, she seemed to long for more. So I loved that right from the start of this story, Burr O'Leary stormed into Tierney's life. Burr was bloodied, injured, showed up in the middle of the night and was frightening. Yet Tierney and her good heart helped him. From that one decision, Tierney's whole life was about to change.
“You asked if I was good or bad. I can’t tell you exactly who I am or what I’ve done, because the less you know, the better. But I want you to know this: I was always on the good side, Tierney. I’ve always counted myself among the good guys.”

While Burr was a mystery, I quickly liked him. In case you haven't realized it yet, I'm a sucker for tortured males. And Burr was absolute perfection in that regard. He had scars that ran deep from what he saw and did, and my heart ached for him. He sacrificed more than any person ever should. As time passed, we slowly got to learn little pieces of who he was, and see the bigger picture. It was so easy for me to fall head over heels in love with him.
Her breath caught as he took a step toward her. Placing two fingers under her chin, he lifted it so that her face was upturned to his. Then, gently, so gently that tears bit at the backs of her eyes, he dropped his lips to hers, brushing against them tenderly.

With the traumatic situation Tierney and Burr were thrust in, they easily formed a quick friendship. They had to trust each other right from the start, even if the trust wasn't entirely there. They were both Irish, and it was heartwarming how that helped link them together. Plus the banter and chemistry did that too. They had me laughing one moment and then swooning the next. Their scenes together officially made them my favorite couple in this series. Just don't tell Tierney's brothers that. ;)
“You are…the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, in all my life.”
He reached for her waist, pulling her back between his legs.

Again I loved watching the relationship the triplets had with one another. It was heartfelt and emotional. They loved one another deeply. And while Tierney had her brothers, I liked watching her form a friendship with her brother's girlfriend, Brittney. They both needed a true friend and Tierney was beyond clueless when it came to guys. She was highly inexperienced and I loved that she had Brittney to talk to. Because Burr and Tierney realized that fighting their attraction was futile. It didn't matter that they were from two entirely different worlds. What was happening between them was so much bigger than life. I just knew in the bottom of my heart that they would get their happily ever after.
“Do you still have hope for us?”
“I’ll always have hope for us,” she said.

Smiling Irish was the perfect mix of suspense, romance and friendship! I loved every single moment and I'm so thankful I picked up this series. So if you adore sweet romance stories, then definitely give this series a try. Spoiler alert - I've already read the next book and it's absolutely adorable too.

Katy Regnery's books just make me happy. I swear. It's just impossible not to smile over her characters as they figure everything out. Smiling Irish did indeed leave me smiling.

The Gist: One stormy night Tierney's life changes when a crazed man starts banging on her door at 4am.

Aw these two. I loved them. Burr is a good man that's been forced to lead a terrible life for the past 3 years in order to do his job as an undercover cop. And it's taken a toll on him. Left him injured and in need of healing both physically and emotionally.

And Tierney. She's a bit of a recluse. She's always liked her quiet life living in the country taking care of a museum but she's not really living. She doesn't take risks and is starting to feel a little stifled and in need of excitement.

I loved their chemistry. The banter, the sweet moments as they both found their safe haven in each other, sassy fiery moments when they tweaked each other's nerves. They were just cute together if you can call anything including a big burly tattooed guy cute. lol There's some steam but it's slow burning and takes them a while to get there. I liked that, though. It suited their personalities and situation.

All in all, Smiling Irish was a fantastic read. A little touch of danger and some hard decisions added an edgy element and the romance was just swoon-worthy. Another win from Regnery!

Great start with good chemistry between the MCs, nice dose of action and a feisty Irish heroine. As I said: a great start!

But then I found out that this feisty, beautiful Irish lily with a mouth-like-a-sailor was, in fact also, a 27-y.o virgin... Oh why?! Adding the fact that the chemistry between the MCs kinda fizzled out, the H was slightly bland and the storyline, which started off exciting, didn't keep up the pace and was also predictable, I am a bit surprised I finished so quickly... probably because it is a relatively short book.

Anyway, this was very unremarkable and, despite the fact that I love this author, I will not continue with this series.

Tierney has been a recluse pretty much her whole life. Other than her family she lives life alone. When an injured stranger forces himself into her home things quickly begin to change.

Burr is in hiding from a Boston gang that he’s been gathering information on as a undercover cop. Suddenly his cover is blown and everyone around him is in danger as they hunt him down. Realizing that Tierney opened a door for them to find her he rushes to protect her with all that he has.

I love a protective alpha hero and a sweet, sassy, innocent heroine. This couple had so much working against them and yet through it all their relationship blossomed. This had so much heart to it with deep emotions and sincere struggles that were not contrived. The angst level ratchets up pretty high the last part of the book but not due to conflict between the couple but because of outside forces. It just about broke my heart in two to watch them battle for their happy ever after.

I enjoyed this one even more than book one! It felt a bit longer but was still a smooth solid read. The chemistry between the hero and heroine wasn’t forced and it steadily grew. The heat level is low and there’s pretty much no real sexual contact until the last 20% of the story. The main secondary characters did not play much of a role but the ending did set us up for the next book.

Katy Regnery’s books have always been odd reads for me. There, I admitted it. Having been introduced to her works via her retelling of fairy tales, I soon cottoned on to the fact that her writing isn’t quite a contemporary one, but one that seems to have a more distinct historical/fantasy style that doesn't sit too well at times. Call it sensitivity to context maybe, but that has thrown me off a fair bit.

‘Smiling Irish’ is one of those times.

The rather odd first meeting of Tierney and Burr aside, there was something rather anachronistic and ‘traditional’ about parts of this story that felt out of place with the contemporary setting—the vocabulary, Tierney behaving like the stammering, blushing virgin she was, her weird, almost petulant outbursts of ‘sass’ (?) and weeping with the long internal monologues that somehow reinforced this—to the extent that I half expected most of the characters to dress in flowing gowns or rough linen. Not that I have a problem with virginity at all, but I’ve yet to read enough kick-arse types who really make a big, big show out of it. Mostly however, I think virgin heroines - Tierney being the perfect example of this - are too often portrayed as the damsel in distress, shackled either by their sexual inexperience or by some other fears that are somehow inexplicably linked to an intact hymen.

Regnery made a big deal of the Irish heritage here and much of the behaviour of the characters was attributed to ‘Irishness’ supposedly, which made me think that the rest of the population wouldn’t act like this because they weren’t ‘Irish’. The use of Irish (Gaelic) as well, became a point of contention for me when after a while, it felt as though Regnery inserted the language along with its translation needlessly, almost as if to show that research had been done on it and it had to appear in the writing no matter what the circumstance.

The long and short it is, ‘Smiling Irish’ wasn’t a good fit for me for a weird number of reasons, context and style perhaps, playing the biggest parts in my inability to enjoy the story. It isn’t to say that Regnery doesn’t appeal at all—I’m pretty sure this is my own quirk rearing its head here but I’m probably better off sticking to her fairytale retellings.

Smiling Irish is the second book in the Summer Haven Triplets. It's not necessary to read the first book in the series but it will enhance your enjoyment of the Haven family triplets.

Tierney is the only girl in the Haven Triplets. She holds her own with her two brothers Rory and Ian. She's got a quick wit and a sharp tongue. She's also sweet and sassy, strong and smart. I totally loved her! It's no wonder that Burr falls for her.

Burr is on the run and runs right into Tierney. He hasn't had it easy the past few years but is still considered one of the good guys. Despite showing up in the dead of night injured, it's obvious that these two have an immediate connection. He's torn between wanting to more with her and needing to protect her heart.

In addition to their budding romance, I thought the author does a good job with the drama that brought these two together. Burr has taken on a job that not many can handle and caused his life to be turned upside down. I appreciated that the book didn't give us more drama than necessary. I found it just enough to keep the reader interested in their story as well as her brother Rory and Brittany . We also can't forget about Ian and what's to come with him.

This is "baby" sister Tierney's book The only girl in the Triplets and well sheltered by her brothers for most of her life. Tierney is wicked smart and prefers her bookish life over getting out and mingling. When Burr O'Leary stumbles to her door, she finds her herself a bit of realignment. She may yearn for quiet and her books, but her body is looking for someone just like Burr.

The author does a masterful job at the giving us the slow burn. Burr and Tierney really want to explore a relationship but God love'em, they decide the danger in their lives needs to resolve first. Loved seeing her brothers again and seeing them size up Burr. Really liked the friendship that blossomed while Burr was staying with Tierney. And that firey Irish temper in all parties invovled? Yes! Romantic Irish whispers---On, my yes!

So happy for both of these characters to have found each other. Looking forward to Ian being able to settle himself down long enough to find love now as well.

Great addition to the series. Great Romantic suspense as well.

Oh my squeezzzze!!!! Another heart-warming, sweet romance from Katy Regnery.
Smiling Irish features the second sibling from the Haven triplets. Tierney lives a quiet life working as a chief historian and live-in caretaker for an estate museum. One early morning, someone was pounding on her front door. Tierney mistakes the person for one of her brothers but when she opens the door she finds herself in trouble – a big strange man barges his way in and demands to use her phone. Before Tierney could process what was going on Burr passed out apparently from a gunshot wound. Against her better judgement, she did not call the police. She hides him in her room and nurses his wound, determined to solve the mystery of who Burr really is…

Gosh! Katy is freaking funny. It was hilarious the way Tierney was hiding Burr’s identity, lying to her brothers and her friends. I was laughing so hard at the part where she asks her friend to help sew up Burr’s wound. That poor guy – a bit nerdy but he seems to be a good guy … just not for Tierney
I adore the hero Burr – total sexy alpha, protective, Neanderthal. A bad guy or good guy? He has a big secret and has been living a somewhat a dark life for the last three years. I might have fallen in love with the heroine Tierney - this woman is something fierce. She is innocent, soft, sweet yet so brave. Their romance is a breath of fresh air - sweet, slow building. There is no question Burr is in love with Tierney but he is patient. He is caring, protective and if that means leaving Tierney in order to keep her safe, he would do it.

Katy writes such perfect couples – every love story is unique and packed with humor and sweet romance. One thing all these books have in common – it is incredibly well-written ... I am truly a huge fan. Katy is unstoppable!!! Devoured this book in one sitting <3

Absolutely loving this series from Katy Regnery, the Summerhaven Trio, about a set of Irish triplets. This is book 2 in the series, and I've been itching to get my hands on it since finishing book 1.

Smiling Irish was perfect in every way. Full of the sweetness and love you'd expect from a book from this author, but also filled with a perfect amount of tension and excitement to the story to keep things interesting and flowing perfectly.

Burr and Tierney's story was lovely and I could not put the story down, devouring in a day. We think Tierney is the quiet, reclusive, bookish sister of the triplets. But the night Burr comes knocking on her door in the darkness, we see a totally different side to her.

I totally fell in love with both characters! I loved Tierney's strength and Burr's protective ways, even in his hours of need.

A really lovely heart-warming story, with plenty of chemistry, heat and passion, mixed with brilliant connections between the characters, but also my own connection as a reader. A great story line and an all round enjoyable read.

Burr indeed.

One long brrr down my spine happened while reading Katy Regnery’s latest installment of her series.

Loved Burr and Tierney. His sexy, demanding protectiveness, her sassy, no nonsense attitude—they were a fire waiting to combust.

And combust they did.

A great read that left me wanting book 3 – now.

Full disclosure: When I finished Fighting Irish, the first book in this fantastic new series, I was ready to skip immediately ahead to Ian’s story (coming soon in Loving Irish). I knew that Tierney’s story would be worth the read, but she hadn’t caught my attention the way that Ian had. So, I went into this knowing that I’d enjoy it, but looking at it as more build-up to the next book.

And then?

And then Ms. Regnery blew me away (as she is wont to do).

Tierney Haven is a force y’all and I can’t remember the last time I had so much crazy love for a heroine.

GAH! This book starts off with a bang, giving us a gritty, action sequence that sucked me in immediately and had me instantly desperate to learn more. Literally from the first page, I was hooked. I couldn’t put it down. And in absolutely no time at all, I was completely smitten with Tierney and Burr and their beautifully-written, masterfully told story.

I mean, BURR you guys. Of all the fantastically complex, instantly lovable heroes. He’s a perfect mix of alpha protective, deeply wounded, and sinfully sexy. I was intrigued by him, beguiled by him, and more than a little besotted with him. But, if I’m being honest? I feel like it was TIERNEY who stole the show for me. I never even saw her coming. From her sweet, gentle, introverted soul, to her spine of pure steel – I completely adored her. I related to her. I felt for her. And these two characters together were pure “slow burn” magic.

As always, Ms. Regnery knocked the romance out of the park – all desperate love and swoony feels that felt so good and kept me smiling through nearly the entire book. I also completely enjoyed getting more time with the Haven siblings – who are adorable together and a pure delight to read. So, yes. I knew I’d enjoy this book, but as it turns out enjoy is an understatement. I loved it – 100%, no reservations, L-O-V-E-D this book.

And now?

Well, now it’s safe to say I am nearly breathless with anticipation for Ian’s book, my heart hungry for more of this divinity. ~ Shelly, 5 Stars

FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH NET GALLEY. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

This is the book that showcased Tierney from the previous book in the series. While it wasn't necessary to have read Rory's book to understand this one, it did enrich the story to have done so.

I loved the slow burn of the romance between Burr and Tierney. I loved how they were both Irish speakers, and that it was special to them both to be Irish-American. While the suspense angle in the story was a minor one, it was still interesting enough to add a bit of a thrill to the story.

There wasn't really a downside to this story for me. I liked seeing what was going on with Rory and Brittany's relationship, as well as what was going on with Ian. I can't wait to read his book!

Sorridi per me, aisling? – Go deo.”

I absolutely loved this story. With a little bit of suspense and a romance that kind of comes out of nowhere Smiling Irish was sweet with just the right amount of angst. Throw in some danger and I'm hooked. Once I picked this up I didn't put it down until it was done.

Tierney is every bit the sweet, one would say a bit of a nerd, but she does have a bit of bite to her that I loved. Burr is the complete opposite in every way imaginable, he screams danger. The beginning of this story starts off with some intensity when Burr basically bulldozes his way into her life.

As the story unfolds you can start to feel the chemistry between them but there are definitely some obstacles in the way here and that makes for a suspenseful read. My heart literally pounding full of angst at certain moments in this book.

Absolutely a fan of this series. And OMG I can't wait for Ian's book.

I love this series by Katy Regnery!! This is a series about triplets...2 brothers and 1 sister..this book is about their sister Tierney Haven. Love finds her when she least expects it. When Tierney meets Burr O'Leary, she is initially a little frightened of him but as she gets to know him she realizes he is truly a good man!! With Burr hiding from his enemies, he is also becoming very protective of Tierney!! When all of Burr's secrets are revealed can these two make a life together or will Burr returned to his home town of Boston!! This is a stand alone book that you will definitely enjoy!! I am looking forward to book 3 in this series for Ian Haven's story!!

I found this book disappointing. It was just too far fetched in the beginning to be plausible. No woman living alone would react the way the h did to the H when he showed up at her door, especially after the way he behaved(and no cop would act that way either). There was nowhere nearly enough relationship development either - it was an insta-love trope which I can’t stand. I also can’t believe how quickly he could recover from his serious injury- and then go on to play perfect hockey in no time at all ?!? Just too many implausible situations. The internal monologues were excessive and boring imo - I found myself skimming many times. While the ending was sweet it just wasn’t enough. I need my stories to believable in order to enjoy them and this one couldn’t cut it.

4 “BAM!” Stars

When Tierney is suddenly awakened in the middle of the night she figures it’s her brother on another bender. What she doesn’t expect is the man that’s waiting on the other side of the door and how much her life would be forever altered by him.

Smiling Irish is a sweet, heartwarming story that will put a smile on your face. From endearing characters to an intriguing storyline, it was a quick read that was enjoyable in its entirety.

I adored Tierney when I met her in Fighting Irish and could not wait for her book. She’s sweet, sexy, and sassy. She’s strong and has backbone and isn’t afraid to do what she thinks is right. When faced with a mysterious and possibly dangerous man, she holds her own and shows her wonderful heart with her welcoming nature.

Burr is a bit of a mystery but we know he is strong, protective, and cares so much for the people in his life. He made a decision a few years ago that changed his life more than he could have imagined. He lost things that were important and has to live with his choices. He has done things he is not proud of but he owns them and is determined to get his life back.

I love that Burr meets Tierney by chance and she is exactly what he needs after the past three years. She calms his storms and softens his edges. They meshed so well even if at first glance they seem like opposites. I loved watching the trust grow and the love bloom. Their questions and concerns about each other were realistic and believable, and even though they fall for each other quickly, it works in this story. They bond during a somewhat dramatic experience and I felt their attraction grow naturally.

There was room for more danger, suspense, and drama but this story stays pretty low-angst. It’s another sweet, smile-inducing book in the Summerhaven Trio series and I can’t wait for more!!

A mysterious stranger literally bursts into the quiet life of Tierney Haven. She is a shy loner and the caretaker and historian for the Moonstone Manor Estate.

Burr O'Leary's life has just gotten messy and he ended up lost and in need of help. He has been involved in some situations that put him in danger. And he arrives with an intense and commanding presence and in need of some assistance.

Fortunately Tierney is strong-willed, tenacious, and used to dealing with her more stubborn brothers. She takes on the situation better than most would. She is a safe haven when he needs it. But his presence could put her at risk. But as they find a connection together, they both tend to want to help and protect the other one.

I loved Tierney's combination or sweetness and spunk. She has an underlying strength and sass about her and has a craving for more excitement and passion. And Burr really grew on me quickly. He is definitely rough around the edges and broody, but it is understandable under the circumstances. And as his layers are peeled back, we see a man who is starting to see the possibility of hope again and want something more even if he thinks he is not good enough. He's a big, burly, protective alpha with a heart that had just been put under lock and key for years. And he will protect her with all he has even if it means from himself. His life is full of dangerous complications. Their worlds do not exactly mesh and they may be entering a waiting game with no positive resolution.

This is a sweet story of opposites in need of change and waiting to find a true partner. It is romantic, suspenseful, hopeful, and emotional. It was fun reconnecting with her brothers Rory and Ian, and Rory's new girlfriend, Brittany. I enjoy the relationship between the triplets and how protective they are of each other. I am interested in Ian and Hallie's upcoming story.

I was gifted a copy.

So far this Trio is PERFECTION!
Ohhhhh the goosies Smiling Irish gave me! Katy Regnery once again nailed it. I honestly loved everything about this book. Smiling Irish is such a fitting name. It had me constantly smiling throughout. But it isn't all romance and light, there is a hint of danger and darkness!

Tierney and Burr's story I did not see coming. It is so unexpected. Wait till you see the other side of quiet, bookish Tierney. She is actually one tough little cookie! She is beyond brave, totally outspoken, sometimes even crass, but always loyal. My kind of girl! (Just keep kicthen untensils away from her! Yikes!) When Burr O'Leary showed up to her doorstep in desperate in need of refuge... He got way more then he ever expected. Burr will shock you. He might look big and scary but underneath it all, he is a fierce, selfless warrior with a heart of gold... He made my heart do flips! I love when two drastically different people are perfect for each other. It's like BAM... it just happens. Tierney and Burr were such a treat. Their chemistry was ridiculously evident. Along with their mutual respect and admiration for each other. Just perfection.

This Trio is fast becoming one of my favorites! I am loving the triplets, Rory, Tierney and Ian. In Smiling Irish we get just enough of all of them. (Including Brittany, Rory's girlfriend. Whom I love.)
There were quite a few laugh out loud moments, as well as tender ones between them. They are the true meaning of an Irish family..... Family always comes first. They fight, they make mistakes, but no matter what they are always their for each other....

Now I NEED IAN'S STORY!!! He has had me enamored since book one. I have a feeling his book is going to be angsty. Bring it on Katy.
