I enjoyed reading this book. But if your reading it to get more answer to your question no such luck it's all about the charters relationships an interaction with the sexy guys that are always around her for some reason or another still a good read hoping for answers in book 3.

I loved bk 1 and plan to leave a review for that too!

But this one was a disappointment to me bcos it had many of my personal triggers. All the guys were very generous and kind to h, in the manner of friends.

Theo who is obviously part of the RH, shunted the h aside to their friends or whenever he was around his friends. Most of the guys were distant. There was no character growth arc for any of the characters except maybe h and 1 or 2 of the other guys. I hated that Ethan had another girl on his lap, Liam(who I hope is not part of RH) is dating other girls even after meeting h and that Jackson might be hung up over his ex. All of these are personal triggers for me. I don't like H having loved any girl before h, or to even look at another woman after setting eyes on h and I need for the H to always put the h first even in terms of time and attention.

I know its slow burn , but I didn't get the idea that the guys were romantically interested or feel the connection( which I did feel in bk1) at all. When the guys talk in the last chapter or when Jackson's uncle say Haley is important to the guys, I felt it was telling more than showing me. I was being told Haley was important to them but I didn't feel that with any of the guys except maybe Knox and Chase and that too wasn't much.

My fav thing as always was Haley. She was kind to the boys, was grateful and showed it, had fun and managed to stay level headed. But if the future books are going to continue showing the boys having their secrets from Haley and going about their business; remaining emotionally distant, having fun platonic get-togethers and fashionista makeovers - while dating other girls on the side, then I'm not sure I will continue this series.

I want to see personal connections growing, intimacy(not necessarily physical) and feelings.

This is just a personal preference , all this might even be someone else's cup of tea. I know some readers like emotionally distant secretive H's who have dated a lot in past/date other women even after meeting h. But its just not for me.

I don’t know why I thought it would get better. It didn’t. It’s horribly boring. I’ll still probably read the next book though, mostly because I just can’t seem to pick what series I want to read next.

Also, Knox is bea. But isn’t every Knox you read about? Scary, protective, a big grumpy, grunting, lovable bear.

This book series has so much potential, but it falls short of what it could be. There are way too many times that we are told something happened, but we don't get to actually "see" it happen. Most of the time chapters end just when it seems we are going to get to a good part. It's like build up, and then it's over before it starts. The pacing is off and it feels like overall not much happens in each book. The reason I keep reading these books is because I do think the main storyline is interesting. I just think it could be fleshed out and made sooo much better. I love the characters, and the reverse harem aspect of the story. I will be continuing on with the series, and I hope some of the issues I have will go away in the upcoming books.

Once again, the dramatic tension is lacking until the very end of the book. The romantic tension is getting unbelievable -- really? All these hot guys? It's losing credibility. But, I shall finish.

And why the hell is this called "The Stardust Trilogy"? What does astronomy have to do with ANYTHING? I still maintain this is fine for a first draft, but there is so much room for improvement.

Was this edited at all????

I really wish this has more action, because honestly this story has a lot of promise. Personally I did like it, but I really could have loved it. The way it built, I kept expecting this awesome climax. Sadly it was a let down.

Wow! An addicting series!

If you like CL Stone's Academy series, you will probably like this one. Some similarities...full of suspense, twistful moments, hot guys, and heartbreaks along the way!

A team of six hot guys! Ethan, Chase, Knox, Theo, Liam & Jackson take care of Haley

It's like a train wreck.... I know I'm not going to like it but I can't stop myself from looking....
Sigh. Why is it so boring?
Also, just because there are six mmc's does not mean it's a reverse harem.
Blah.

I really liked this installment in The Stardust Series. It was a solid second book for the series and it made me want to continue on. My biggest problem would have to be the pacing though. Sometimes, things would be going by really fast and I would be highly enjoying it. At others, I was bored out of my mind and had to force myself to pay attention. I am hoping that Autumn Reed will be just a little more consistent with that in the next book.

After being disappointed by the first book in this series, I gave the second one a chance anyway - mainly because it was a fast, simple read, and my insomnia means that reading anything too complicated at night is a no-no. I figured this would be mildly entertaining and perhaps something would happen in this sequel, now that the setup from the first book had been completed.

I finally managed to finish this, but I won't be continuing the series. After all the frustrating things about the first book - Haley's lack of curiosity about basically everything in her life, the vague storyline about her father and the Zenith client that was having him followed, and the constant introductions of more and more guys that all seem basically the same - the second book follows the same pattern. Essentially nothing at all happens. Haley continues to not investigate anything about her father, Zenith, the client, or these guys, and instead just drifts through her days, letting them buy her things and boss her around and just happily going along with it because they're all hot. There are some meals, a party, some random activities, and a gala, along with some bland flirting - and literally nothing else happens.

What's so frustrating about this to me is that there are FIVE books in this series - what could possibly take up so much space? Haley is not particularly interesting, and her main characteristic is that she's self-absorbed. She's handed a job at a company with a client that's involved with harming her father, and lives with the guys on the client's team, but there's no effort to investigate. Why doesn't she ask the guys about her father every single day? Why doesn't she use the resources at her fingertips to snoop around client files, find more information on what these guys were hired to do, or understand how her father is linked to this other man? Why doesn't she actually go to San Francisco to find this stupid safebox and find out what might have happened to her father?

She doesn't do any of those things because there are six versions of the same boring guy, controlling her life. Apparently they're all intelligent, athletic, wealthy, stylish, ridiculously attractive, have a vague variety of interests, work at Zenith, and are obsessively attracted to Haley. There are a few minor differences between them (one of them has glasses! one of them has a British accent!), but they're essentially interchangeable, and it's hard to tell them apart. And because Haley likes all of them, she just shuffles between them, having identical interactions - lots of hugs, sleeping in the same bed, kisses on the cheek, bland compliments. Apparently this boring harem is more important than solving a lifetime's worth of mysteries or tracking down her father, the person that's kept her safe at great personal cost for the last decade.

At one point near the end, she finally loses her patience and vents some frustration, telling a few of the guys that she doesn't like not having input in her life. It was so exciting - perhaps now she'll take off, find her father, figure out what's going on? Maybe she'll pack up her things, call the one guy she's interested in (doesn't matter who, they're all the same), hit the road? Nope - by the next morning she's in the car with some of the guys, heading off to lunch, and apparently it doesn't matter. She even mentions feeling guilty about saying something, after they drugged her, kidnapped her, and are now financing her every whim. At the gala she finally shows a little backbone by following a few of the guys and demanding to be kept in the loop, but it's way too little, too late.

(second read)

Yes, the series is definitely picking up, and I am starting to see why I have such fond memories of it. The mystery is becoming more engrossing and a larger part of the plot, and Haley is maturing.

In general, the characters are definitely the strength of this series. Haley may be a bit of a special snowflake (I mean, she is good at everything), but she is so sweet and honestly refreshing that I find I don't mind. It is rare to have a main character that is so genuinely nice without a ton of dark past abuse and issues heaped upon her. I love that!

And the guys! Jackson, Knox, Liam all hit the right notes for me - confident, suave, debonair, protective, dominant...Mmmm. And Theo is an utter DOLL, I adore his character. Chase I connect with the least, but he is still very very sweet. Ethan...well, he creeps me out a little, but he has his moments too. I'm just not a fan of the moody, possessive type.

There is still a YA/NA vibe going on, but it is not quite as strong as it was in the first book. In fact, college didn't even make an appearance here. It was all focused on general life and their work at Zenith.

The story is well written, engrossing, and I am eager to continue.

If you haven't read the Stardust series, you should really give it a try.

UPDATE PROGRESS NOTES:
97.0% "Honestly, I just never understood this. The guys have been above-board with her and helped her enormously. I don't know why she wouldn't talk to them but would try to sneak off instead. It makes NO sense except as one of those TSTL plot devices."

94.0% "Slightly creepy there, Ethan!"

56.0% "God I love Knox!"

40.0% "Sigh..and more with the damn secrets..."

2.0% "Sigh.. phase>faze yet again"

I'm even more drawn into the story and how it's all building up. I'm loving all the cast of characters here, although not too sure on Ethan, and really love how Haley is growing as a person. I think I'm in love with this book and quite possibly this series so far. I can't wait to dive straight into book three which is why this review is going to be very short as I really need to read the next book straight away.

The story is getting interesting. I actually like all the guys. My biggest issue is that Hailey is one of those 'good at everything' girls. She is hot, every guy she meets falls for her, she can sing, she can kick butt. Seriously, I get tired of reading about heroines who are amazing at everything yet still act like they have no idea why everyone loves them. Its annoying.
I wish the story had focused a bit more on the mystery about Hailey's dad but overall it was still an engaging read.

The storyline is getting more involved...

Am definitely enjoying this read! The personalities are becoming more in depth increasing our emotional ties to the story. And the mystery is pulling us deeper.

4.5 stars. I almost gave it five just for the fluff and cute moments, but I'm holding back. This was a great continuation of book 1. While it is very apparent the guys are all attracted to Hayley, they aren't pursuing it for various reasons. I was worried after book 1 that it was gonna be too insta-love, but this book slowed it down, which I greatly appreciated. There is lots of playful flirting, cheeky banter, and cute fluff, but nothing beyond a kiss on the cheek has occurred. Hayley's first priority is finding her father; the team's first priority is the mission. Both feel conflicted about crossing those boundaries for risk of losing focus. Gradually, Hayley is earning their trust and learning more about them and vice versa. However, there is still an invisible line between them.

I wish there were a few more developments plot-wise in this book, but I was satisfied. This is currently very contemporary. Not a lot of action yet. But it's a nice change of pace from the usual the world will die without you and your one-of-a-kind powers kind of plot lines.

Great pacing. Loving the relationship growth between the characters. Looking forward to book 3.

This was an okay 2nd book in a series as far as RH series goes.

The story line is interesting enough, but it is a little confusing considering the main reason the guys found Hailey was because they were looking for her dad and yet there was hardly any talk of her dad until close to the end of the book. I am pretty sure that the guys don't work for a regular "security" firm, but the details are still vague.

There was no real progress on any of the relationships but hopefully that will change in the next book.

Getting better

While I will still say it's incredibly similar to another series I've read recently, it's still pretty good. I'm interested in seeing how it all plays out in the end.

Audiobook. This book has a lot of similar traits to The Academy by C.L Stone, but instead of high school or just graduated, they are college or just graduated. I like this series better so far but couldn’t author change the number of guys and maybe the favors? That being said this feels a little more realistic. Though both series are slow moving.

Is That Flirting?

This is the second book in a continuing series. You need to read the first book, Phoenix, before reading this one. There is a minor cliffhanger as the story doesn’t conclude in this book, though it does come to a natural break.

Hayley is starting to settle in with Team Jaguar and now has a paying job at Zenith. She still has to spend all her time being watched by one of the guys, which is starting to get old, but she does enjoy her time with them. The team are giving her lots of new experiences; going to the beach, riding on a rollercoaster and dancing in a jazz club. She loves spending time with each of them, but she knows they still aren’t telling her everything.

This book continues the very slow-burn storyline that the first book established. The only slight increase in that element is that Hayley is starting to question if occasionally the men are flirting or not. From the outside, it’s clear that most of them, if not all, are interested in Hayley romantically but they have been told to stay away from her. For Hayley, that’s just confusing as she has so little experience with people in general, let alone with men who are much more experienced than she is.

Elements of this series are very sweet, but there is still an undercurrent of darkness because of all the secrets and Hayley didn’t choose to come to Santa Cruz in the first place. Becoming friendly with one’s kidnappers seems to be a bit reckless to me. Still, I’m enjoying the easy read. There’s nothing challenging about this book and it’s entertaining. Plus I’m enjoying reading about all the fun things to do in Santa Cruz!

While an improvement on “Phoenix”, “Draco” is still far from perfect. It is mostly about Hailey having a series of dates with the guys, which is fine since it is important to show her bonding with them. However, this also works against the book as it makes the vague ‘plot’ and Hailey herself all that dumber. All through the book we see her and the guys grow so close together she has by now slept (just slept!) with at least two of them, which one would think would prove to her she can trust them, yet she still plans to run away to check out the freaking box she should have been striving to check out with a lot more interest since book 1, while keeping active, secret communication with her BFF despite being very aware of how dangerous it can be, given the fact the BFF’s family WAS visited by the ‘bad guys’ because of their connection to her and her father.

This is shitty even beyond the fact that she’s keeping secrets from the guys; she is actively putting Jessica in danger by continuing to talk to her when she knows the bad guys are aware of their friendship. I would have been happy with Hailey sending a quick email to tell her she was fine, because Jessica WOULD have been devastated with grief given what happened to Hailey’s home, but so far their communications are no deeper than brainless talk about hot boys which is just infuriating given all that Hailey is putting in risk by continuing writing those emails.

(Adding to the frustration, how most men in the series are impressed by how supposedly ‘smart’ she is for no deeper reason than being able to recognize book references. Just… goddamn.)

The book tries to present a case for her still doubting the guys, what with Zenith clearly being a lot more than its administrative employees know, including their “off-the-book” cases such as her father’s. And I would be happy to believe that, if not for her actions in Phoenix: back when she knew the guys for a total of 2 days – days which include them kidnapping her across state lines -- when Jaxson asks if she’d rather stay at the loft or anywhere else, she chooses to stay at the home of her kidnapper for no reason beyond it being a cool home.

And now here, in Draco, she learns a new fact about her father (during the last 5% of the book, when the authors remembered this was supposed to have a plot) and she… tries to run away, quite literally. Tries to run out of a crowded ball, where Zenith’s two top teams are running security, without talking to any of the men she actively trusts so much she can share her bed with them. I keep going back to that because somehow, the authors decided Hailey trusts them enough to sleep with them but not so much that she can have an actual goddamn conversation with them. “I will put myself in what is arguably the most vulnerable position I can be in, but I don’t trust you enough to ask if we can go together to check out this new lead on my father. No, instead I must literally run out of here, again with no actual fucking plan.”

Honestly, if she had actually gotten away I would have lost a lot more respect for the guys. As it is, my opinion on them only lowered on account of them continuing to be in love with a moron of this caliber.

I am basically going to leave a review for all of the books thus far as I could not stop the entire series to leave a review. I was completely enthralled with each and every book in this series. I have no idea why I waited so long to read this, but if you love reverse harems, then don't wait! Grab book 1 immediately and then settle in. From the moment Chase and Haley bump into each other, I was intrigued. The chemistry is so palpable in each of the guys with Haley, I almost forget there are others as she is with each one. It such an amazing talent that Reed has by making me feel apart of their world. Although there are many reverse harem books out there, Reed has this unique perspective allowing the reader to feel the struggle of what the process of falling in love with multiple men and actually having it all. I don't want to ramble on, but all I can say is that this series made me laugh, cry, swoon, scream, take a cold shower, and fall in love with each book. I almost want to start all over again...hmmm maybe I will!

I love this series! Now that we have been introduced to all the guys, we now get to see the relationships develop. Yes it is slow, but in this scenario, it should be. As I am not sure yet how the RH factor will be introduced, it surprises me to see very little jealousy between the guys. Yes, there is a little, but not as much as I thought there might be. That may be in part to the cohesiveness of the team in general. Now that we have a clearer understanding of Zenith, we are now thrown back into the mystery of the missing Dad. Of course now we have a bit more of a cliffhanger with that as we anxiously move on to book three! Well done ladies!

Like with book one, my main problem with this series is the boys. More specifically LIAM. UGH! I really dislike him. He makes Haley uncomfortable and I hate the way he "flirts" with her. ( and I use the word flirt lightly) I hate to say it but if his character doesn't grow up in the next book, I'm going to move on from this series. Liam is completely ruining it!
