I started reading the book immediately after the Bhagavadgita and, while it is a very involved book, feel enriched and will need further delving into Sankhya.
Swamy Tejomayananda has done a wonderful job in giving the interpretation - chapter 2 is the essence of this book and really sets you in a journey of exploration...
