Post Traumatic

Rate this book
Post Traumatic is a collection of short comics about war and its pernicious affect on those who are not the movers and shakers of history, but those moved and shaken by history. In particular, its focus is on people who rarely feature in war narratives that centre on the ‘heroic’ soldier: women, children, civilians, arms manufacturers, drone operators and displaced people of colour. There are no heroes of that classic sort in this book, just stories about those who have been forced to deal with the consequences of decisions made in halls of power, far from where they are.

All art and stories by Bruce Mutard except Microaviary, adapted from the poem of the same name by A. Frances Johnson.
