From USA Today bestseller Nelle L’Amour, a sizzling and suspenseful ripped from the headlines second chance romance like none other. What happens when the past, present, and future collide?

SKYE:
It was love at first sight with Finn. The downtown bad boy with the piercing blue eyes, tattooed biceps, and museum-worthy chiseled body. But while he struggled, I was driven. An investigative reporter determined to pursue the truth to get my story. My credo: Dig deep, then dig deeper. Then one time, I dug too deep and literally dug my own grave, losing everything and everyone dear to me.

Until life gave me a second chance.

FINN:
Being a renowned artist and single dad isn’t easy. My demanding fiancée doesn’t help. No matter how much I try, she wants nothing to do with my precious five-year-old daughter.

Then she came along. The hot as sin teacher. Scarlet Callahan. She’s everything my fiancée isn’t. Warm, funny, and down-to-earth, she adores my daughter as much as my daughter adores her. I’m inexplicably attracted to her, but she keeps her distance. Like she’s hiding something. Except I’m going to uncover her secret even if it means risking everything I’ve ever wanted.

And everyone I’ve ever loved.

I am a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Los Angeles with her Prince Charming-ish husband, twin college-bound princesses, and a bevy of royal pain-in-the-butt pets. A former executive in the entertainment industry with a prestigious Humanitas Prize for promoting human dignity and freedom to my credit, I gave up playing with Barbies a long time ago, but I still enjoy playing with toys with my hubby. While I write in my PJs, I love to get dressed up and pretend I’m Hollywood royalty. My steamy stories feature characters that will make you laugh, cry, and swoon and stay in your heart forever. Dearest Readers~

Remember Me is by far the best and most important book I've ever written.

I promise you it's a story like none other. A story for our times. Yes, there is an early scene which may be a trigger for some, but it is rooted in headline-making reality and is the catalyst for my heroine’s painstaking and emotional journey of self-discovery and recovery. And empowerment. As one of my idols, the late great Nora Ephron once said: "Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim."

At its heart, Remember Me is a unique second chance romance that attests to the power of true love and proves that self-worth and preservation—and the family you love more than life itself—is worth fighting for. After you read it, you will understand my heroine's credo: Dig deep. Then dig deeper. I will never stop uncovering the truth. It is the most powerful tool we have.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking a chance on Remember Me. I hope that you will love it as much as I loved writing it and that Skye and Finn’s epic love story will stay in your heart forever.

With all my love and appreciation…

So I haven't read a lot of this author's books. But damn Gina!!! This book... No words

I definitely was not expecting this story. I thought i knew what I was in for when i started this and read the blurb, but clearly it took a way different turn. Its a bit much in the beginning for some people, but all I want to say is stick with the story. It is so worth it in the end. A highly motivated journalist and a on the verge of success painter... Wouldn't you want to see where this is going?

If this is how this authors previous books are then definitely sign me up! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STORY!

description Unfortunately, this one will be a DNF for me. I was genuinely looking forward to this book. I even knew there would be some OW drama going into it. But I just can't get into it. The OW stuff is seriously OTT. Kayla is like a cartoon villain. I don't like Finn, like, at all. That he is sleeping with and engaged to someone who hates his kid and acts like a complete lunatic around her makes him repulsive to me. I don't like the sex details about the fiancee. I don't like he moved on at all ⬅ unrealistic, maybe, but it completely ruined the connection between him and Scarlett.

So yea, not for me. However, I am just one opinion in a sea of many. So do read a few more reviews before deciding of whether to give this one a read.

Rating: 4.0/5.0

Genre:
Romance + Suspense

Book Structure:
The book is around 360 pages. The story is told from two perspectives, the two main protagonists. The chapters are quite short. Most of the time frame is set in the present but there are few chapters that give us some idea about the past and how the protagonists met.

I am not going to mention much about the synopsis here because if I do that the suspense part of it will be spoiled. All I can say is that Remember Me is one of the best second chance romances that I have read. I did not expect the story to take that big turn in the beginning and this was a big relief for me as many second chance romance stories tend to be a lot similar. The writing style of Nelle L'Amour is really good. It makes one get hooked on the story and the characters. I liked the two main characters but I have some reservations about Skye. Finn is a partner that any woman would like to have! Kayla Phillips was a fun character to have in the story, she provided the bad side needed in a big chunk to it.

On the scale of enjoyment, Remember Me ranks very high. But on the scale of believability that is somehow debatable. There are certain aspects of the story that you will need to just get along with and not question too critically. Some actions by Skye at the beginning of the story will be questionable too for some of the readers. Then one of the things that I found weird was when Finn & Scarlet were facing each other to know Scarlet's true identity. I found the steamy scene too weird for such an important reveal. I hoped for a more emotional scene than a steamy one. I think these are a few points that made this book a 4.0 stars read rather than a 5.0.

The story has some steamy scenes and there are several trigger warnings. Do you remember the "Me too" movement? Well, a big part of the story is inspired by it too. This was a fun read. I enjoyed it a lot and will recommend it to everyone.

This book blew me away. It was not at all what I expected. When I started reading it, I could not put it down. It was the perfect blend of romance, suspense, beautiful love, and steamy sex. Nelle broke me into pieces but put me back together again. Her characters were so well developed and written, I felt as though they popped out of my kindle and into my home. And there were some I didn't want there because wanted to strangle them. This story is complicated but the way she brings it to life is fabulous. I was twisted and broken but all in a good way. Do yourself a favor and read this book.

I have been a fan of Nelle L'Amour since my very first read of her epic "Unforgettable" series--and everything she's written since. The way she weaves her fictional characters into the very real and crazy workings of modern-day Hollywood is the stuff of stories I find hard to put down. This woman has been the heir apparent to Jackie Collins for a very long time--and with "Remember Me," the world will finally crown her queen.

I devoured this read in 2 days. It's a beautiful, emotional, heart-wrenching tale of love lost and rediscovered, identities feigned and found, and above all, a soul-deep commitment that survives even past new masks and real dangers. What an incredible book from an amazing author. I. Could. Not. Put. This. Down.

The idea of this book is so original. It started with MeToo movement then bam it switch into romance. The romance is also very unique. I do not want to spoil too much in this blog. You have to read it yourself.

What I found lacking is the chemistry between Finn and Sky/ Scarlett. The author done her best to develop and inject some hot steamy scenes, but I still found its lacking.

Even with the hang up, I still think the whole story is wonderful.

Clever, sexy, and romantic. The twist will keep you on the edge of your seat! Masterfully written, Remember Me is now my favorite from L’Amour. It is romantic suspense at its best and should be at the top of your 2019 must read list!

When you become emotionally invested in a book that’s when you know your reading something great. When you want to strangle characters again you know your onto something great. When you get to the end mentally screaming noooooo, you guessed it you know you’ve read something that will stay with you. Something this author has managed to do to me time and again. The fact you get, on occasion, to revisit some old friends.....well that just makes the books that much sweeter.

Audio – 2.5 Stars

male narrator – read more than performed

female narrator – great performance but her speech was grating because she had a habit of ending her words with an “ah”. You know that annoying thing that so many of the youth are doing today to stress their words.

Story - DNF @ 52%

I thought I hit the romantic suspense jackpot with this book find.

A married and new mother investigative reporter Anchor woman, secretly trying to bring down a serial rapist big time TV/Movie producer. Yes! A ripped from the headline Me Too story.

The beginning started off so well with some action and heart stopping suspense. But…the story quickly descended into an 80s daytime eyerolling soap opera.

The h goes from escaping her would be killer, getting into an accident that has everyone believing she’s dead. The truth is that she escaped the accident, has had multiple surgeries and looks nothing like her old self. Because she can’t remember who wants her dead, she can’t tell her husband she’s alive. Instead she is hired by her husband (who doesn’t recognize her) 4 years later to be a private Teacher to their almost 5 year-old gifted daughter. So far so good. I’m still digging the story.

Then…ugh!

The other woman drama begins. Of course, her husband (who believes she’s dead) is engaged to a horrible woman who can’t stand the daughter, blah blah blah…so the story goes from trying to figure out who wants her dead to trying to get this horrid woman away from her husband and child. I’m not saying that this shouldn’t be part of the story. It’s the way things are playing out, and the behavior of the characters. It’s OTT and lacks depth.

I don’t have it in me to continue the story.

Remember Me by Nelle L' Amour is a 2nd chance romance that full of feels, heat and suspenseful ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat right up until practically the very end.
Ms. L' Amour weaves a spectacular, intense and intriguing web into the story that depicts Hollywood and the power brokers that take part in a totally powerful story. Skye and Finn's love story will have you rooting for them to get their HEA and for those keeping them from it to get their comeuppance. This book is powerful, inspiring, dark, raw, surreal, suspenseful, provocative, steamy, and yes- also filled with feels and steam and romance. Another hit read by Ms. L'Amour!!

Got this ARC May 9th but sadly life happened and I was actually caught up in reading book 2 of outlander and you just cant tell Jaime to wait because he takes off his kilt and his voice is all love and seduction and… okay I digress.
I began reading this book may 26th.. and finished May 27th.. it was that good! I have never read a full length book from this author and I actually requested the book because I once read the That Man series and Glorias Secret when it was a serial and man I never finished that one. Also did you know this author like wrote and worked on the Power Rangers!!>> !! and then boom erotica writer was born!

But this book is about Skye and Finn in a story I did not even expect. This book is sad, scary, empowering, heart breaking, powerful and realistic. This story is about a woman on the hunt for a story, a man on the hunt for love, a child caught in the middle and Hollywood trying to keep them down. This is a second chance story and even thought it nears 400 pages it’s a remarkable quick and fast past book. Id love to tell you more… but man the plot twists you will love them.

Oh my. This story.... it was very beautiful. It was intense in all the right spots, but it was also sweet and enduring when it came to Skyes love for Maddie and Finn. I loved seeing them interact as a whole and see that Maddie had a big part in the story.

The suspense and mystery kept me pushing forward and making me unable to put it down. Well, I did put it down but I thought about it. I needed to know what was going to happen. I was very pleased with the outcome of the story. The subject matter may be a little much for some people handle but I think the author did all the characters that needed justice, justices.

Maybe slight spoiler?

Now; I’m going to give it 4 stars because when the truth of who she was came out, it seemed that Skye talked weird. I don’t know what it was. Saying My Darling and stuff. It just wasn’t like her. It seemed to annoy me. Maybe because that’s what Finns “manager” called him. It made her seem to proper. Before she seemed more relatable then bam! Like a different person. Even with that I still really adored the story. #2OCCJD

Talk about plot twists and you will definitely find Nelle's L'Amour "Remember Me".

This is the first book I read by this author and I can't even describe how fascinating it is to read her stories.

If you think you have everything figured out just by reading the first pages of this book, I would tell you to wait because there is so much more you don't know.

This author is capable of making the reader get immerse in a world of passion, mystery and love, like no other.
"Remember me" will show you how human beings are willing to fight for their dreams and how addictive the success can become afterwards if you don't know when to stop.

A very well written second chance with a sprinkle of suspense that will take you to the edge of your seat.

I totally recommend it❤️

First I can't believe this was my first time reading this author. I was given an ARC for my honest review.

I loved this right from the start as it was hard to put down as the story flowed so nicely. At first I thought I knew what I was expecting when I read the blurb, well I was wrong and was so happy for that. This is definately a second chance at life and love for Skye and Finn. This was a beautifully written and I totally understand the movement it was based on.

This world is not all unicorns and flowers as some tend to turn a blind eye to things happening right in front of them.

I can't wait for more from this author and will definately be reading more.

Remember Me by @nellelamourauthor.
A ★★★★★ Star Read.

𝐌𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬; 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬, 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬.

Remember Me is my first novel read by this author and it was marvelous. Like, really captivating. A news reporter and an infamous artist falls in love and gets married. Few years later, they parent a cute little bundle of joy. But with those years comes a determination for the girl to be at the top. Dig deep, then dig deeper is her motto always. Skye is one hell of an ambitious woman, career oriented with no time anymore for a family, running after dangerous stories. When one day, fate plays its hand, Skye finds herself in a life reversing situation and ends up being separated from her family forever. Fin aka Phineas, a struggling artist, a doting husband and a gentle father mourns the loss of her wife, devastatingly along with his 9 months old girl, Maddie. Few years later, he finds himself attracted to the new teacher of Maddie, Scarlet Callahan. With secrets of her own, she maintains her distance but with a look of forlorn. Love. Longing. When secrets are revealed, forgiveness treads on a thin line of horizon.

I could not put this story down. God!! It was so riveting. This author has a unique way of story telling that makes her readers glued to their kindles like bugs. Creepy ones. Their chemistry was perfectly on point and their relationship seemed so real to me, it felt like I am watching a live episode. Intriguing, surprising and with anticipation, this story deserved more than 5 stars in my opinion. It throws heavy light on common issues like sexual assaults, rape, murders and more. It deals with the sensitive matter of the situations of people who dive into dirt, never coming back unless someone is as lucky as our couple. I strongly recommend this story to all those ROMANTIC SUSPENSE lovers out there.

Remember Me is one awesome books that centers around a very sensitive subject that is a very real subject in today's society.

It might take a minute or two to get caught up in the fury of Skye' and Finn's story, but oh once you do, get ready to hold on! Slow and steady up a mountain and then once you THINK you got to the top, the author has you climbing some more, then BAM, you plummet down imagining the love that is wrote in every sentence.

If you need a good romance with a good chunk of criminal activity thrown in the mix, this is the book for you!

The powerful feelings that I have had while reading this book are beyond words. Nelle has taken a very sensitive subject and has turned it into a very sexy and extremely suspenseful story that I could not put down. (darn sleep and adulting for getting in the way). It is very difficult to get too into this review without spoiling the story. So I will go with the simple fact that this is a story that needs to be told. In the beginning I thought the story was going one way.... then it took a completely different turn. I was feeling scared and then gutted.... total emotional mess! But there were some oh so sweet scenes that just made me swoon like crazy. The hotness level was pretty high in some spots... and there was a very even amount of sexual tension that kept you hoping for the pounce to come! I was very happy with the way things turned out in this story and I completely recommend it to just about anyone.

Nelle L'Amour took today's headlines and turned into a story worth reading. It maybe fiction yet it could be a real story. Now there is one aspect of the story that was a little unbelievable for me, but Nelle L'Amour did a pretty good job of making me believe. Nelle L'Amour roped me in at the beginning and kept me riveted to my seat. I didn't want to put it down but had to so I could sleep. Nelle L'Amour gave some flashbacks but she did not do it all the time like many authors, that usually breaks the flow of the book for me. In my opinion Nelle L'Amour did a good job of handling the flashbacks and kept the flow going. I loved the double point of views. I loved Skye/Scarlett she is strong, feisty and empowering. She doesn't give up in trying to find the truth. Finn frustrated me a little with the way he let Kayla treat Maddie. I pictured myself as Cher in Moonstruck slapping him and yelling snap out of it. Teehee!!!. I understood that Finn was still grieving Skye's passing and that caused him to be a little blind. In my opinion this is a journey of discovery, love and reemerging stronger from the depths of despair. In my opinion if you are a Nelle L'Amour fan she did not disappoint and well worth reading. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.

I read it a second time and really loved the updated edits. Even though I read in May this book still kept me turning the pages. Some of the things I didn't remember, other things I did remember and it didn't take away from the story.

This is your best work yet!!
“Remember Me?”
“You’re bullshitting me I don’t believe you!”

Welcome to a world of money and power, the more you have the more you can get away with.

Skye and Finn are an amazing couple with a second chance at love.

In the beginning Skye and Finn meet as Finn is a savior to Skye in a moment of unwanted groping. Shall we say a love at first sight? I say yes!! Finn is a struggling artist and Skye a very well know journalist. She decides to meet with a Hollywood actress to uncover sexual harassment and assault. Skye finds herself in a world of trouble and Finn is left to wonder why?

Follow this wonderful crazy ride through the hills of Mulholland Drive to the best damn book you will read yet!!

And to anyone who has ever been harassed or assaulted know that you are not alone. And it is not your fault, no matter what your brain tells you let your heart guide you! No means no ! ❤️

Thank you so much Nelle L’Amour for the Arc in exchange for my honest review!! 😘

This is another page turner from Nelle. I highly recommend reading this without any expectations and just go with the story.

What's great about Nelle's stories is they're not told in a linear way, there are snippets of the past so we readers could have a background.

At first it seems like they're living happily ever after, but with Skye's determination and guts to get the job done, their lives were changed. I really want to be vague on that score. The only spoiler I'm willing to give is there are events and circumstances that are based in real life and we've seen it in the news.

The story itself was very moving, I found myself tearing up at some of the scenes involving Maddie. This is not your average second chance romance. Yes, it is that, but not in the way you would expect.

As I write, I'm still reeling from the events. So like Nelle to include great sex, a little humor, really bad guys, a little suspense, and an awesome love story.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. OMG this was brilliant I cried and I laughed in places, felt sorry for what happened to Skye and I cried when she was away for 5yr. It was good when she got the job as a home school teacher. I felt sorry for Finn with that witch. And I could've killed Sheldon for what he deprived this family of. Loved it.

Remember Me: A Second Chance Romance by Nelle L'Amour is a standalone second chance romance novel.
Skye is married to Finn and has everything what a picked fence type could dreamed off. Buit she wants more. She's a driven reporter and her job is her calling even when dangerous. Whe paklys with fire gets burned they say, and this is the case for Skye. In the aftermath for Finn and his daughter too. They're the innocent victims.
I confess this book had me in knots. I love a strong and determined heroine, but between determined and reckless and just stupid is a small path. What I can say is the charaters gave me all the feels. I was sad, I was happy for them and at some point I was so angry at the heroine.
Remember Me deeals with sensitive subject, but is a fast paced nailbiting romance with thriller elements. I give 4 stars.

Wow!
I can’t honestly remember the last time I read a book that had me gripped from the first page right through the entire book as this one did and I read a lot of books.
I loved the main characters Finn and Skye/Scarlett and of course little Maddie, the story was an emotional roller coaster and touched on a subject that has been hitting the headlines in recent months. This book as always with Nelle’s books is very well written with a fantastic storyline and some likeable and some not so likeable characters.
If you haven’t read any of Nelle’s books before, then you really are missing out as she is one very talented lady, if you have read her books before then this book will not disappoint.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I believe Remember Me will prove to be the breakout book for Nelle L’Amour. This story loosely parallels recent happenings in Hollywood and the “Me Too” movement. Written from the perspectives the female investigative reporter and her artist husband, the story moves along quickly, with some flashbacks thrown in to facilitate understanding. Strong emotions were facilitated by prose including disgust and loathing, anger, angst, concern, tears and laughter. The characters are totally realistic and relatable and I felt myself cheering for the good ones at times. This is a wonderful, well written story. Couldn’t put it down. A Must Read!
