The Cd alone is well worth the purchase. This is the first CD I've bought that my toddler and I enjoy equally! It's her favorite CD to listen and dance too. The music is great and it really teaches them music knowledge and appreciation.

Fabulous!!! And Ella is my favorite (Fitzgerald, that is), so I like the nod to her. Now I want the whole collection (Duck Ellington, etc.) A colorful, FUN way to introduce jazz to young kids. Well, there's not really an un-fun way to introduce it, but this is definitely a fabulous introduction to the world of jazz. *happy sigh* Going to scat Old McDonald some more now. :)

Oh, since a reviewer on this site said she liked it but her kids didn't really get into it, I have to make a suggestion: get out your musical instruments (tambourines, maracas, bells, drums, whatever you've got) and dance around the room with your contributions. We did this the second time through the CD and had a great time. Plus, now my four-year-old is talking about scat. Mission accomplished.
