Lilin

Rate this book
Lilin demons seduce humans and take their very life essence. They are almost impossible to kill and they are insatiable. When they move into an abandoned city block in Boston to feed off the homeless no ones cares, but when they prevent a rich developer from turning the buildings into waterfront condos that's another matter. That's when he calls in Jael Allen. Killing demons is what she does best. She'd do it for free but this job comes with a big pay out, that's if she can make it out alive.

I've always loved to read and write. My first paycheck from my first job was spent totally on books. I started writing novels when I was in high school. I never attempted to get them published. One thing led to another yadda yadda yadda 20 something years later I decided to write one more novel and if I thought it was good enough then I would finally get that manuscript published.
Boom! done. I am on my fourth book and loving every part of the process (well except writing this bio :) )

A kickarse urban fantasy with a snarky main protagonist call Jael Allen who is a Hunter of all things Supernatural - just my type of read! Jael works alone, a people person she is not, although in this chapter short story she is thrown together with another Hunter she has history with - and is a complete asshat.
Parts of this were a bit smutty but then that'll happen when you're trying to clear out a nest of Succubae. (Succubi and Incubus) The author does cover the sexy with a heaping of guffaws and there is one scene that I'm sure is going to take alcohol to remove from my mind's eye.
An intriguing and entertaining start to a new series and author for me.

A shallow adventure but that’s to be expected with under 50 pages worth of story.

3 a decent introduction stars

I’ve read the Demon Hunter duology & it’s underrated IMO. I’d highly recommend it.

A quick and scarey read

A great read for a dark and stormy night. Electa Graham has written a short but gripping story for those who like plenty of action in the paranormal genre. While short this one will have all the chill bumps standing at attention as you turn the pages.

The novella Lilin is a well-written prequel to Electa Graham’s Demon Hunter series that introduces the reader to Jael Allen, A snarky Demon Hunter with a lot of personality who prefers to work alone.
