Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .

The Alpha’s Mate is fast, fun and full of sizzle.

Vivienne is kidnapped by two bumbling idiots and they just might be the death of her until Fabian, the alpha wolf shifter, rescues her from drowning and takes her back to his pack. Jumping from the frying pan into fire, Vivienne ignites Fabian’s hunting instincts when she runs from him. To top it off Vivienne can’t remember anything. Both Vivienne and Fabian quickly realize that Vivienne is much safer under his watch because there is someone out there that really wants Vivienne dead.

Lots of sexual chemistry but not a lot of developed romance. A shorter read, so it is perfect for those who enjoy easy, entertaining novellas with a heated shifter romance.

I received this ARC copy of Alpha's Mate from St. Martin's Press. This is my honest and voluntary review. Alpha's Mate is set for publication Jan. 30,2018.

Fabian is never going to settle down or allow a woman to collar him. As the alpha wolf of his pack he’s got a reputation to uphold and it’s a lot of work being the bad guy. When he rescues Vixen from the river after she was tied up and tossed in to drown, he realizes pretty quickly that she’s his mate.

This is a fast, fun, humor filled read that has a little meat on its bones. Not my favorite by this author but still highly enjoyable.

This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley and St. Martin's Press.

***** 4 Stars *****

Can be read as a standalone

A quick steamy paranormal read.

Vivienne doesn't remember who she is or why dangerous men are trying to kill her. All she knows is that she can trust Fabian Garoux, the sexy alpha who saved her.

This is a fun read with a little bit of humor mixed into it. An enjoyable fast story that doesn't disappoint.

Three and a half
Having read the other short stories in this series I'm over the moon to finally get Fabians very own story. It starts with a woman who has been kidnapped and her two somewhat bumbling kidnappers who are trying to kill her. No explanations as to why or even indeed who she is as she hits her head and loses her memory. Now luckily local bad ass and Wolf Alpha Fabian hears the commotion and jumps in the river to save her. Ok saving damsels in distress might not be the norm for Fabian but when he realises his mystery woman is his Mate there's no way he's letting her go no matter how hard she tries to leave !
Perhaps not as full as laugh out loud moments as other stories by this author but nevertheless I thought the couple suited each other. Our heroine constantly challenged Fabian which led to interesting banter. This pair have chemistry in spades and not a shrinking violet in sight ! Plus I will never look at a tattoo gun the same way again but my lips are sealed. Perhaps the big reveal at the end could have been expanded but nevertheless I enjoyed my afternoon reading this.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair.

Alpha's Mate by Eve Langlais is book Three in the Fabian Garoux series. This is the story of Vivienne and Fabian. I haven't yet read the the other books in this series but enjoyed this enough that I want too.
This book opens to Vivienne being kidnapped and dumped into a river to die but Fabian happens upon them and saves her from drowning. But Vivienne has amnesia doesn't know who she is...but she does have a personality that is funny. Fabian is funny too trying to fight his feelings that she is his mate. But looses in the end and does all he can to protect her.

A quick read. I have read several books by this author and so I expect a "feisty" female who is able to give as good as she gets. But there is a fine line between feisty and obnoxiously rude, this is an obnoxiously rude female. I just couldn't stand Viv, should have let her drown then maybe he could have found someone I actually wanted to read about. If you make me despise the main character in the first chapter there will be no redeeming her, had to force myself to finish. Also Fabian had the least alpha, masculine thoughts I have ever read.

I was given an ARC for my honest review.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I haven’t bought this one yet, but I did buy the first two in the series, so I could read those.

The cover is what attracted me to want to read the book!

Well I know I own quite a few of Eve’s books (21 to be exact in ebooks and probably some paperbacks too), but this is my first review of one of her books. There is never enough time to read everything I want or even own.

This is the 3rd book in this series, and you can read them out of order because I did. It is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. It is about 80 pages long and a quick read.

This book was mysterious and action-packed because the leading lady has no idea who she is, so Fabian calls her Vixen. Someone wants to kill her, and Fabian will not allow it. They have a mystery to solve about who she is and bad guys to lure out. This was a great read, and I didn’t see some of the curve balls that were thrown. This made it more for me because I love when an author can surprise me. I don’t want to give anything away because I don’t want to spoil your adventure.

I recommend to shifter fans who want an action packed read especially if you like Eve’s work! I’m already reading the next story that comes right after this one!

Alpha's mate is a stand-alone story by Eve Langlais. The story is connected to some other novella's, but you will have no trouble getting into this one. The story begins with our heroine, who has been kidnapped, trying to save herself before the evil people who have taken her have the chance to kill her. That doesn't go very well and she ends up almost drowning, but Fabian saves her and together they try to find out what is going on and who would want to kill our heroine. I am not going to say her name because for most of the book she has amnesia and she is clueless about everything that is going on in her world aka the existence of shifters. Together, she and Fabian try to solve the mystery behind the weird circumstances she found herself in without killing themselves and find their happily ever after.

The funny thing about this story is that I actually read the novella that follows Alpha's mate before I got my hands on this book and I had already met these characters, but I hadn't paid much attention to them. Fabian mostly seemed eccentric and a little weird to me, but after reading this novella everything fell into place. And I not saying this in a bad way. I read them out of order and I was still able to enjoy the story, so my saying that this is a stand-alone novella is true. I can't wait to read more stories in this universe.

I'm not usually one for shifter books, but the blurb intrigued me enough to try this one. It was a very quick read, easily finished in one sitting. I thought Viv's reaction to what Fabian's true identity and what she saw that night was glossed over. I think the author should have spent more time on this part of the book.

Overall not bad, just too short for my preference.

A short and fun read in the Eve Langlois tradition. Fabian just does not know what to do with the woman he saved and she does know who she is. That does not keep her from letting him know she is not a push over. It was great watching Fabian try to protect her while she tries to do her own thing. Add in the fact that she is his mate and you have almost more fun than you can stand.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.

Dramatic opening with a kidnapped women facing death! Vicious bad guys! Who is this women and why has fate bestowed a hero to the rescue? Quick shifter read that stands alone even though this is a part of a series. Eve Langlais proves her skill at molding alpha characters that have erotic results. "A copy of this book was provided by St.Martin's Press via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

It had been a while since I read anything from Eve Langlais and it almost felt like I was reading a different author. I think she was going for humor and witty banter but just tried way too hard. You're talking about a book that has themes of human trafficking. Don't think ridiculous silliness is what needs to be going on there. I didn't really feel the connection between Fabian and Vivienne and their inner thoughts just got on my nerves. This one just didn't do it for me.

Remember me

From kidnapping to memory loss, the author keeps us hoping throughout the entirety of this book. I love the characters, especially the butler what I wouldn’t do for one of those, and the way both of them are strong and take charge. I started reading the series from this book and enjoyed every moment of it, but I can’t wait to go back and read the rest of the books before the next book is available.

Fabian gets offensive at times, “I do not mope ,” he grumbled, shooting her a dark look over his shoulder. “I brood.” Fabian is mot one for interruptions, “This better be effing important,” Fabian snapped as he righted himself, his eyes again emitting that odd golden glow." I loved this book, it had so much humor.

Review courtesy of All Things Urban Fantasy:

Villains aren’t supposed to rescue damsels, and pack alphas are known to have complete control of their wolf. But when Fabian saves a certain lady from drowning, everything he knows gets tossed away and only one thing becomes clear: she’s his mate―and someone wants to kill her. Hell no. Protecting her, though, is only part of his problem. He also has to convince her she belongs to him. In her words, “Hell no.”

When she flees, little does she realize this wolf loves to chase. And when he catches the woman he wants? She’ll become the Alpha’s Mate.

You’ve just been thrown from a cliff into a river, your hands and feet are tied and you smashed your head on a rock. You’d be a bit snippy too, even with the nice (and nice-looking) fella who just dove in and saved you. Especially when you realise you don’t remember your name.

The mostly-unnamed heroine of this short story may have needed saving when Fabian first found her, but throughout the story she manages to hold her own against assassins, well-meaning butlers and the wolf who has decided she’s the One. Some paranormal romance heroines tag along, but even without friends or a name, this one questions his decisions and is instrumental to saving herself multiple times. She doesn’t know why she knows how to pick a lock or drive a motorcycle, but she’s going to use those skills regardless!

I felt like THE ALPHA’S MATE lacked some of the humour other books by Eve Langlais, which made the short story feel shorter. Still, I enjoyed the small cast of characters and even the cheesy “Happily-Ever-After” epilogue at the end.

If you like your shifter tales fast and sexy, this one is a wild ride.

I got my hands on another Eve Langlais early release…Well, not quite. This one actually released in an anthology a little while ago and is now being released on it’s own.

Fabian is a little older than many of Eve’s other heroes, but being an Alpha sometimes takes time to build the reputation that Fabian certainly deserves as the Alpha Wolf. When he happens upon a woman with no memory, he is truly in a quagmire of deep self reflection as his wolf decides she’s the one. Fabian doesn’t go down without a fight against his wolf nature, but he does go down faster than “Vixen.” I don’t want to give any spoilers, so we’ll just use Fabian’s nickname for our heroine.

Vixen on the other hand fights mother nature like she’s caught in a leg trap. Oh, and she loves Fido references that get the hackles up on Fabian. Her personality is super evident in how she handles Fabian. She is a take charge, no nonsense kind of heroine and when you discover her full story at the end, it is right on track with how you see her. Since it’s a short story, losing her memory allows her to drop her inhibitions and just let nature takes its course in their relationship building.

The ending delves into the next story in the series, which I might add sounds good, funny, and steamy as well. So pick this one up and delve into the Their Furever Mates series for a little romantic crush. I’m giving this a 4 of 5 propellers because I’d have liked it to be a little longer and the ending was a little rushed, although not lacking in details.

Title: Alpha's Mate - Fabian Garoux Book 3
Author: Eve Langlais
Publisher: St Martin's Press
Date of Publishing: January 30, 2018

This book given to me by NetGalley and St. Martin's Press in exchange for my honest review.

Alpha of the local wolf pack with a small contingent of cat shifters, Fabian jumps into the murky waters to save the tied up woman thrown in by two goons. Saving her is only the beginning. It seems the woman has lost her memory and does not know who is trying to kill her or why. When he gets a good whiff of his beautiful "Vixen" it seems Fabian has found his mate. He is not ready to give up his care free days just yet. Then Vixen takes off and the wolf is ready for the chase. Soon Vixen is sure she is in a nightmare. Men turning into bears and wolves. The world has gone crazy or she has.

Fabian gets carried away and claims Vixen. Determined to find the threat to his mate and remove it permanently. Vivian exerts her independence and shows the reader that not all female mates are are meek and mild. With thrills and suspense in abundance from the start to the climactic. Fun quick read with strong well rounded characters and an absorbing plot.

I gave "Alpha's Mate" a 4.5 out of a total of 5 stars.

Alpha’s Mate is the third installment of the Fabian Garoux series by Eva Langlais

You wouldn’t think you’d be the ideal person to be kidnapped, but Vivienne apparently is. On top of that, her two kidnappers are complete morons. As she’s tossed into the freezing body of water while bound she has minutes before she drowns. As she tries to conserve air, a handsome, yet infuriating male jumps in and saves her. When he ask for her name, she can’t tell him.. Not for the fear of her life, but because she doesn’t remember.

Vivienne didn’t trusting Fabian, so she did the best next thing, run. If she thought she was in danger before, she has no idea what beast she just woke up. And he wants to play. This sexy bad boy just found his mate and he doesn’t mind the chase.

Alpha’s Mate is a short read and I loved both Vivienne and Fabian. Fabian, is known to be the villain, and I can kinda see that through the story. He’s not only sly , but he’s a no nonsense kind of man. I love seeing him being sarcastic, but also a teddy bear under the facade he puts on. For Vivienne, I found it a little hard to connect with her since she’s suddenly gets amnesia. Though these two sexual chemistry was off the charts! - Julianna

Fabian isn't use to rescuing damsels in distress. But Vivienne more than she appears. If only she could remember what she is.

I really enjoyed Alpha's Mate by Eve Langlais. This is third in her Fabian Garoux series. I haven’t read the other stories in this series but found that not to be an issue.

Fabian is the baddest wolf around. Saving folks isn't usually how he rolls. But when trouble finds itself on his land his role changes. Especially since trouble brings along his mate. I love seeing Vivienne and Fabian interact. Vivienne may not remember much but I love that Ms. Langlais did not allow Vivienne to be seen as a victim. Vivienne found herself a bit lost but she refused to let that define her. I love Vivienne and Fabian together. The chemistry felt believable and real. The dialogue was snappy. And Ms. Langlais' trademark snarkiness was abundant. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Fabian and Vivienne find their way and look forward to reading more from Ms. Langlais in the future.

Yet another paranormal romance by one of my favourite authors .....writing with all the wit and humour she is well known for .........................................

Pack alphas are known to have complete control of their wolf , but when Alpha wolf Fabian saves a lady from drowning, everything he knows gets tossed away and only one thing becomes clear: she’s his mate......................and someone wants to kill her. Hell no. Protecting her though, is only part of his problem ,he also has to convince her she belongs to him. In her words, “Hell no.”

When she flees, little does she realize this wolf loves to chase and when he catches the woman he wants ? She’ll become the Alpha’s Mate....................the chase is on .

This is a fast, fun, humour filled read -not quite my favorite by this author but still highly enjoyable.

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.

Eve Langlais is a master writer! I love her work! The characters and storyline are always well-developed. When you want or need a good laugh, eve Langlais always delivers. Fabian stumbles upon some thugs tossing a woman into the river. He jumps in to save her, and takes her to his mansion to get dry. He finds out that she has lost her memory,  and starts calling her Vixen. His wolf recognizes her as his mate. She sneaks out and is stopped by the thugs who tossed her into the river.  Fabian catches up to her and saves her from the thugs. On the road home, they get shot at and she finds out that he is a werewolf. The book has so much humor and action that I hated when it ended. I wanted more! I recommend this series to everyone. I give Alpha's Mate 5/5 stars.

This is book three in the “Fabian Garoux” series. I felt this book could easily be read as a standalone. I consider this book to be a quick paranormal read with some heat. I have read many books by this author, I felt she gave us solid characters and she never fells to deliver sassy sexy heroines and stubborn hot alpha males for her readers enjoyment. I found this book to be a fun read, with the right amount of humor and steamy parts mixed in with it. I also loved the twist to the story line the author gave us, but you’ll to read it for yourself to see what I mean. If you enjoy paranormal romance with sassy heroines and hot alpha males than I think you’ll love this.

This was a fun read. Woman gets kidnapped, bonked on the head, thrown in the river, shot at, rescued by a stranger. She has amnesia, and has attitude. Her rescuer is a werewolf, but she doesn't figure that out for awhile. In typical alpha manner, her recognizes that she is his mate, tells her she can't leave the room, she escapes and steals his car. I loved that part. He chases after her, they get shot at and escape again. There is more drama, good sex, and threats to her life again. They finally capture one of her attackers alive, but are interrupted by a visitor. Things go downhill from there but in a funny way. It's a good quick story that makes you laugh. Strong male, strong female characters.

The Alpha's Mate is a fun romp in an ugly world. Someone is trying to kill a woman in Fabian’s territory. This cannot be tolerated if anyone does any killing it is going to be Fabian. When he finally rescues the woman she has amnesia and he has found his mate. Neither is a happy camper.
It takes a strong woman to deal with Fabian and even with amnesia his future mate keeps Fabian on his toes. I love these two together. They would crush anyone else. I will say that Fred the manservant really made the book for me.

Fabian is the Alpha of wolf shifters. He finds a woman drowning and rescues her, as her captors shoot at them. She has amnesia and is unable to tell who she is and why they want her dead. He continues to attempt to keep her safe and is drawn to her as he has never been to another. She has grit and determination which makes her perfect for him. Unfortunately, she continues to be in danger. This book has comedic spots and is full of passion. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

When Fabian the leader of his pack sees some thugs throw a woman tied up in the water he jumps in to save her and gets shot at. He does manage to save her but she doesn’t know who she is but he knows she’s his mate and someone wants her dead. Vixen as he calls her is not taking this lying down and she may have a memory lapse but she is perfect for the leader of the pack if she can only stay alive. Funny story and the author describes it so well you can’t help but laugh even when she is in danger.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are hones
Vivienne wakes up in a strange place with no memory of her former life.
She does not even remember her own name.
Fabian rescued Vivienne, but now, he does not know what to do with her.
Now the question remains:
Will Vivienne remember who she is and why people are trying to kill her?
Fabian also has a dilemman.
Will he claim Vivienne as his mate or not ?
I loved the storytelling + the characters
The storytelling + the character's build were awesome!
