Zombies are a nightmare of the past, the Lycan wars are over. Mike feels that he can finally settle down after 200 years of war until he hears an impossible message from beyond. Tommy, his adopted son, is in trouble and there is nothing in Heaven or Hell that will stop Mike from helping him.
Mark Tufo has moved from Zombies and vampires to demons and creatures of the underworld in Demon Fallout – The Return. Talbot’s adopted son and vampire, Tommy gets a message to Talbot – he’s in desperate need of help. Talbot, a loyal friend and one who holds nothing else above family rushes to his aid crossing into the underworld of demons. We are introduced to new characters and see the return of old ones as well as crossing over into other realms of Tufo – Talbot vs Timothy (the deadly flesh-eating zombie clown)!
Tufo is not one to rest on his tried and true writing style, this book shakes the world of Talbot and his readers into gut-wrenching moments that will leave you gasping and shocked! It has the Talbot humor and Talbot charm but the twist is quick, unexpected and well done; the reader has no opportunity to regain their balance period! Imagine, if you will, being sideswiped by a semi driven by a cab full of Elves on the Shelf with crazy demonic eyes and maniacal laughter that appears out of nowhere – that is what this book is like!
Sean Runnette, once again performed the book superbly. I cannot hear Runnette in anything else without connecting him to Michael Talbot first. He IS the perfect voice for Michael Talbot.
Loved the book and while I am still reeling from it, this was perfect!
There were no issues with the production or audio quality of this book.
Mark did it again! I have read all of his work and this book is freaking amazing. I never expected the twist and turns. I laughed I was confused I was angry. If you are a Tufo fan you need to read this!!!! I happened to listen to it and Sean really is Mike Talbot. Simply an amazing and brilliant performance!
My least favorite book from Mr. Tufo, and I've read them all but the two with John O'Brien. The constant poop references, especially the pages and pages early on, were just not necessary. However, I do anxiously await the follow up, since this one just ends without resolution.
Great addition to the Mike Talbot timeline. Takes place after the Lycan Fallout books. Mike goes into the realm of hell to rescue Thomas, but as usual the hurricane of destructive destiny follows along with him into the world of plotting demons and tortured beings.
The plot of this one was really pretty interesting. I can't really talk about any of it without giving it away; but, it genuinely keeps you guessing. There are some major twists and redirection, as well as unlikely events that I never really saw coming. Also, we have the introduction of a few new of Mike's customary travelling companions. There were also a couple of cameos from old characters you might expect to find in hell (hint: one is psychopathic cannibal with a big red nose. And I'm not talking about a rabid venison-jerky eating Rudolph.).
This is the first of at least 2 parts, so of course now I'm waiting impatiently for the next one.... as usual. Also, this one, I think, hit the top of the charts for gross visualizations. Tufo typically tries to outdo himself... this time he did.
I always search for Tufo, usually in audiobooks because I love Runette's narration. This was was no different. Except for this time Talbot or rather "Tallboat" finds himself in Hell, searching for Tommy who has sent out a distress message. Whoa is Mike, who has just gotten his life back on line with new friends, a new wife (the red witch), his dog, beloved twins, and Aggie his wonderful dog. And of course Sebastian's cat, and his wife's familiar. Of course Mike and Cat's have never really gotten along that well. As you know if you've read any of his other series. However, this time is a throw-down in hell of all places. Excuse me if I get the spelling's wrong- I listened rather than read. However, we meet me more creature's than you can possibly imagine or exist. Obviously, there isn't room to list them all. Sadly, SPOILER ALERT+++++¥¥¥¥¥£**********************£***£**£*£*£££££**************^*****^^*^^^^^*^^*^^^^^^^^€^^^^^^ We find out (sob) that Tommy or Tomas has been betraying Mike and his family from the start. Not just when they met on the Wal Mart roof but even before! Man these vampire's /warlock's are diabolical creature's! Which of course shred's Mike's heart as he had adopted Tommy into his own family. But there is someone closer in Tommy's heart, they say blood runs thicker than Water. However, now Mike is deep in Hell. His wife , the red queen is trying to find him with the aide of her gatekeeper/familiar/friend - Sebastian and the walls are closing in ...

Following off the edges of the horrible raven, Mike was begged from Tommy to help him - where he literally is in hell. After a short disagreement, Azile decides to support this absolutely terrible plan which is highly likely to kill him. Hell isn't a great place to be but Mike makes friends pretty quickly which tracks. I love Linnick and Bill - they bring such great character depths and absolutely roast Mike all the time. They both turn out great boons to his journey and eventual reunion with Tommy. Eliza is also afoot in hell doing Eliza things (murdering mostly) and Tommy turns out to not be the best boy he used to be.
Mike also meets a terrifying clown and eats an angel tier demon which gives him some pretty wild powers. It also screws up the environment down below but there is clearly much higher forces at play.

This was really unexpected...it was hilarious and heartbreaking and eye opening and just just WOW!!! What an incredible Michael Talbot adventure!! I Laughed,I cry a bit....I was angry, confused and just shook my head in disbelief so many times...But I LOVED IT!!! I cant even begin to talk about what happened in this book without spoiling it for you...I will say MARK TUFO....YOU ARE SOOO GROSS!! LOL YOU WEIRDO!!!! Great listen and i totally recommend!!!
JUST ONE CLICK IT NOW...TOTALLY RECOMMEND...WOULD GIVE IT A MILLION STARS IF I COULD!!!!
The Michael Talbot universe continues to unfold, and as always, his talented narrator, Mark Tufo, continues to nail it. Always irreverent, the Talbot we know and love, continues his journey, and as usual, throws in the right amount of wit and snark to thoroughly entertain. I mean, what other author can come up with almost 2 full pages of terms related to poop that can make me both gag, and laugh out loud at the same time? Side note, I may no longer succumb to cravings for chocolate, but definitely a fair trade for the entertainment,
Always unpredictable. Just when you're on the edge of your seat, waiting for the worst to happen, Mr. Tufo drops some humor into your lap or takes you on a trip down Michael's many memory lanes. I'm somewhat conflicted about the endings. At first, I'm thinking 'damn it' another cliffhanger! Then I remember that it means another book.... so worth the cliffhanger!!!! Seriously though, if you haven't read any of Mr. Tufo's books, you are missing out..... especially all of the Fallout series!
What a fantastic read! This one actually continues where Lycan Fallout 4 left off so it’s good to read this one before you read Lycan Fallout 5. Just imagine Mike Talbot walking around in hell bumping into a variety of different Demons and taking them on. Here he meets Tim The crazy murderer sadistic clown and that’s quite an experience in itself with more to come. A new friend is introduced, the little bug Linnick and this one gives you a couple of twists and you can’t help but wonder which way this is going to end up.

There are parts where I got angry, very angry. Parts had me laughing so loud that I was asked by my nephew, "why are u laughing?"
There are twists I never even considered about characters that I loved. There are new and inventive characters that are introduced to Talbot that made me see that he is a magnet for weirdness.
I so can't wait for the next book. Great job Mr Tufo.
I enjoyed the book and devoured once I started it, but once I got to the portion with Tommy I started getting a little worried. I just don't understand the context of his betrayal. I don't mind betrayal's, but through all the books, (I've read them all) I never got a sense or inkling of this. Even some of the inner monologues that Tommy had during the books never hinted about this betrayal. I really hope he comes back to this even for just a few pages to better explain that portion.

Awesome book! As is expected from this most talented author
If you haven't read any of Marla work-related this isn't a bad place to start. If you have the time, start with the first in the Zombie Fallout series, then follow along.
My personal favorite is the Tim series. If you know me, you might not want to read it after a burrito dinner...
Thanks again Mark, I hate you for the twists and cliffhanger, but I'm greedily waiting for the next one.
I had a little trouble getting into the story at first but I think it's because I haven't read the Lycan Fallout series and a lot of characters are unfamiliar to me. After a couple of chapters I started to really enjoy the story. There's a lot of humor and Mike's usual way of taking on any situation. I was sorry to get to the end of the book, I wanted more! Can't wait til the next installment of Demon Fallout!
Mark Tufo did it again!! I gave this book 5 stars because....well, it's Mark Tufo! No, seriously...this book continues the story of Michael Talbot's journey after Zombie Fallout. Some characters that you will remember are still with Michael, you meet new ones, & some old ones return. If you enjoyed Zombie Fallout or any other Mark Tufo books...you have to read this one!!! You won't be disappointed!!!
Mark Tufo is by far my absolute favorite author. His writing style keeps you captivated until the very end. If by chance you become unhappy with the alterations of one of the characters persona, you still are drawn into the story and dig your self further into your addiction to the Michael Talbot storyline. thank you Mr. Tufo for providing an absolute phenomenal line of books that keep me coming back for more.
It definitely was another engaging Mike Talbot adventure. I’ve been listening to his books and the narrator does a great job.
This story had some interesting reveals so I’m doubly eager for the next in line!! I have to know what’s real and what isn’t. Ugh! I’m not giving anything away, but new info has changed the way I’ve viewed all previous stories. I hope to find out that this new info is wrong! Would break my heart otherwise 😪
Usually the first book in a series takes a while to get you interested. For instance, the Lycan Fallout series seemed like it took half the book to describe the doom and gloom that had befallen Mike before it started to take off. This one however, picks right up where Lycan left off.
I would encourage you to read all of the other series before this one as a number of villains from other series make an appearance.
Talbot goes down under and I don't mean Australia, this time the mission is to save his adopted. Mike makes new friends and whole lot of new enemies including a certain zombie clown. I didn't much like the abrupt ending although it does mean another installment is in the offing, so I can forgive MT for that :). If you got through the zombies, the vampires and the lycan then you will sure have a blast with the demons.
Mike is on a quest in the underworld and doesnt know who to trust, but in typical Talbotfashion, quickly finds himself at the center of a company of heroes who will walk through the underworld with him in search of Tommy's soul. Old enemies, new allies and fresh lore garnish every chapter, so sit back and listen well, he could've very well called this one 'the inner workings of the Tufoverse'.

Mark Tufo has a gift for writing. This book just continues his legacy of incredible writing. The prologue of this book says that it it’s an independent book, and can be read without reading any previous books, however I highly recommend that you read the Zombie Fallout, and Lycan Fallout series 1st. Mike Talbot ventures into the depths of hell, to save his friend Tommy. What happens after that, is an incredibly twisted, yet hilarious, adventure.
I devoured this book as soon as I got it. No one creates a universe quite like Mark Tufo. It is stand alone but I highly recommend reading the Zombie Fallout series and the Lycan fallout series for more in depth understanding of this awesome read. I am highly anticipating the next book in this series!
Loved, loved, loved this book! Twists, turns, the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers all wrapped up in one demented package. Disturbing, surprising, and sarcastically hilarious all in one. This book was a total triple threat. Definitely a must read! You won't regret it!
I’ve been through the whole of the Talbot adventures, and this one threw me for a loop! Entertaining, but after a certain “turncoat” part, it made me very sad. Why Mr. Tufo? Why did it have to go that way?? :( I’m still a fan, though, always will be, and am excited to read what comes next! Chop chop! ;)
Another great book by Tufo. I really like all his stuff. It maybe time to check out lucas fallout. I like how the end of this book has the body parts sticking out of rocks and stuff.at the start of the book tufo said it was a stand alone book. I don't see how that is going to work.
Usually when I read one of Mark Tufo's books, I devour it in one sitting. This Fallout installment ,with new friends and foes, with vivid landscapes, was savoured so I could reflect on how twisted Mark's mind truly is! I need more!
Another wonderful ride through the land of Talbot! This man gets involved in more hinky situations than anyone else ever. He gives us thrills, chills, and plenty of laughs while he does it. I can't wait for the next one.
I love the adventures of Mike Talbot. This book brings in alot of his other series including The Book of Riley and Tim. Im amazed at his imagination of all the characters. Im hoping that this obviously new series will answer alot of the questions we all have.
