Nip Nebs

Rate this book
"Ootby in the shaddies o the pale moonlicht..."

Nip Nebs is a tale of Jack Frost sprinkling his magic across the landscape on a winter day. Nib Nebs is the Scots word for the mythical character who creates the white winter wonderland of ice and snow.

This beautiful book is written in Scots with a translation into English. It makes a perfect introduction to the Scots language for wee ones but is also a lovely read for anyone who loves words.

Written by author and storyteller Susi Briggs, beautifully illustrated by Ruthie Redden, published and printed in Scotland, with a foreword by the President of the Robert Burns World Federation, this is a wonderful example of an original story in the Scots tongue.

Already being used for educational purposes in Scottish classrooms, this tale enchants and delights young and old alike.
