I don't think there is much here that I haven't read in other business books. A lot of it is "do what you love," and "think outside the box," in different wrapping. In this case, a yellow tux.

But, whether you read this or not, look up Savannah Bananas videos on YouTube. What Cole has done in terms of making his baseball team exciting and putting a super-entertaining product on the field is absolutely brilliant. As he notes in the book, Cole's philosophy is to put on a circus with some baseball thrown in. He has achieved this, and more. Crazy contests. Players dancing in the middle of the game. Singing vendors. All of the Bananas' games are sold out and there is a waiting list for tickets. They have so much fun and give their fans a great experience.

So Cole definitely lives what he preaches, and has been very successful with his philosophy. If you haven't read a lot of business books before, more of this information will be new to you. If you have, I don't think you'll learn anything new, but you'll be entertained.

Jesse Cole will keep you entertained, challenged and inspired by sharing his own journey into entrepreneurship. I’ve been following him and his business approach online and finally sat down to read his book. I read 1-2 chapters per day. The reflection question at the end of each chapter helped me really think about my career, my leadership and my businesses.

Highly recommend this book for business leaders, especially entrepreneurs who want to do things differently and want to stand out from the crowd. I absolutely went bananas for this book. Not sure what my yellow tux is but now I want to find it!!

Overall, I enjoyed this book. Took a minute to get into the writing style. For me, it read more like a ‘conversation with a friend’ than most books I’ve read. Geared for business owners, I am not one, but in career transition, so most points landed. There are a lot of ‘not serious’ moments, at least at first read, but the author does a good job to turn it around to solid points, leaving many good nuggets of insight.

If it is normal..do the exact opposite!

I read this book with delight because I recognized thoughts I had but could not define. I called myself eccentric as my thoughts seem to always to .fall outside the box" and I felt like I was missing the boat of normal living. Instead I see that Jesse Cole has successfully navigated life to achieve his dreams. I shall be recommending this book...maybe even buying extra copies to share! This guidebook is too good to keep to myself!

I absolutely loved this book. Jesse tells his story and shares his philosophy about standing out from the crowd. Along the way he offers questions and prompts for you to to think on and create plans for yourself. Though I'm an educator, this book was relevant well to my own work with students, staff, and families.

This is by far the BEST book I have ever read about business. Jesse is an actual genius, he is astounding with how well he understands business, the emotions of human, and how to basically thrive at everything he touches.

Great, quick read about the foundation of the thought process into forming the Savannah Bananas. Classes on marketing or customer satisfaction could use this book on how to treat customers and create a market.
I liked the list of books at the end of each chapter. It’s also interesting on how the book ends and the author has no clue how well his ideas would be accepted and the SB eould take off.
