Way too many descriptions, and in addition to that, I feel like she sat there with a thesaurus, chose a word to write, searched for the synonyms, and wrote them all as well. There were so many words in one sentence simply said a different way. It was quite annoying and an overkill. I found myself rolling my eyes at the excessive descriptions and word usage.

Agena and Thrax
The first six chapters was filled with way too much descriptions and inner thoughts. Everything the hero or heroine was thinking, feeling, or had ever thought seemed to be written down. I believe that the first six chapters could be condensed to two or three and we would still understand everything along with the characters' feelings. Don't get me started on the hilariously worded sex scenes. There was no way anybody reading those would be feeling anything sexy at all.
After chapter six, I truly enjoyed the conflicts and actions brought on by an invading alien species and the HEA. There was actual dialogue happening and I could finally get to know the characters.
This is all my opinion, but I don't think I could recommend this book unless you are good with skimming parts. It also ends at 45%.

Thrax is a knight it is his job to protect his planet and he does want to stop doing it. He doesn't see himself doing anything else. When he has to return to his planet for health reasons his mentor tells Thrax it's his turn to join the lottery. Thrax can't get out of it, nothing he says changes his mentor's mind.
This book started with the same plot as a lottery as a lot of alien romances. But it grew from there into a book for beyond that plot. I enjoyed this book and I'm renting the rest of the series as soon as I post this review. This book had romance and drama out of this world. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Thrax is a high ranking dragon knight. Agena is a celebrated champion Sphereball athlete. She enters the lottery to be paired with a dragon in order to have a child. Thrax decided a long time that he didn't want to participate in the lottery, but is forced to anyway. Can Agena and Thrax overcome the challenges facing them including a hidden enemy preparing to attack the planet?
This is an enjoyable read featuring strong, brave and honorable characters. Agena and Thrax enjoy a highly sexual relationship. When attacked, they must work together to defeat the unexpected enemy. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Okay, I couldn't even get over the first eight pages on details. It was too much for me. I know l like details but even I have problems with that much details. Next Agena...meet her and she was in my mind a vain female. I didn't like her at all. As for Thrax... I don't get to know him as I never saw him.
I will not be keeping this series or will read anything else by Bonnie Burrows.

Wonderful storytelling with lots of action both in and outside of the bed. When looking to get pregnant she decides that the best partner for her is someone who has outstanding values and can perform.

Really enjoyed this book. Everything seemed to flow evenly and stayed true to the story line. Looking forward to reading the others in the series.

A Dragon's tale!
This was a fantastic journey into the world of dragons and aliens on a car off world. Amazing characters and action and drama between the humans and Dragon shifters made for a truly unique story.
