When it comes to writing sexy contemporary romance books, supernatural romances, or an erotic paranormal romance series, New York Times bestselling author Calinda B purrs with excitement, just like her fine Abyssinian cat. She's got a life full of adventure and stories, a head full of imaginative realities, and a willing partner to help her with "research." What more could an author ask for?
Cigar King was a really good story and a second venture into the paranormal world for Phoenix Daniels. Teaming up with the paranormal priestess LaVerne Thompson had me super excited. In it we find childhood friends reunited to solve some kidnappings and murders that a eerily similar to what happened to the hero's mother years before. The heroine is leading the charge to save an innocent man accused of a heinous crime. But first they must reconcile and admit they are attracted to each other.
Reana Malori brings another hit with Simon and Melanie's tale. They were tied at the hip as children and were each other's best friend. It all changed when Melanie joined the military. Her return home brings them back together and there are some things that have to be addressed and resolved. They are ready and willing but can they survive their frank and open talk? But this boxed set and find out.
Gotta ready the remaining stories and then come back and finish my review.
“This is the land of the billionaires. We take what we want. We value what is rare and decide what’s precious.” They say the rich are different. If this book is anything, it’s a testament to that. Mundane or paranormal, young or old, good or evil, the Billionaire Bad Boys follow their own rules in business, in romance, in everything. From the depraved members of the Diamond Club to the billionaire elf geneticist, from a son charged with fulfilling a father’s dying wish to the daughter trying to clear her father’s name, you’ll find each story’s unique take on the lifestyles of the rich and famous a very satisfying read. Enjoy this glimpse in how the other half lives and loves.
Cigar King-nice fast paced story. Great character development great story line. It's listed as volume I so I guess there will be more. Is definitely worth the read. However, please please p please,,, fire your editor or send them back to school.... Losing control-really a sweet short love story of two young people that grew up together knowing what and who they wanted all along but needing to spend some time away from each other to really discovery who they were without one another.
Billionaires and bad boys....what's not to love! I thoroughly enjoyed this box set and the different stories. My favorite was Reana Malori's story. I'm a sucker for second chance romance and this one hooked me from the beginning. It's the story of two childhood friends that are reunited after 6 years apart and a host of hurt feelings. We get to see if they can work through it to get the HEA we're all hoping for. This really is a great read and I'd recommend you pick this up.
This review is for Losing Control by Reana Malori. Simon and Melanie are childhood friends (first loves) that are finally seeing each other again after 6 years apart. Melanie worshiped the ground Simon walked on but being the young cocky guy that he was, he took slight advantage of her hero worship and broke her heart. Now Melanie's back and Simon is determined to claim the woman/girl that was always meant to be his. I enjoyed their story.
This anthology gave a continuation of stories from some great writers, interspersed with some sneak peaks of fantasy. I enjoyed how varied the stories were with their ongoing theme. From undercover cops to unknown elf parents. An easy read that I could step away from but always came back for more.
Fire by Calinda B. Savannah thought her mission with be cut and dry, in and out. Little did she know she would uncover the man under the facade that Liam presented. A story full of mystery, deceit, politics, passion, and love. A great ride once again from Calinda!
